The Melbourne Beach Shipwreck A Missing 1715 Fleet Vessel By
Dr. Robert H. Baer Professional Archaeologist Seafarer Exploration Corp
This paper provides evidence that the Melbourne Beach shipwreck scatter is derived from one of the missing Spanish 1715 Plate Fleet shipwrecks, the Santisima Trinidad y Nuestra Señora de la Concepción.

A circle search is a visual survey method which is often difficult at Melbourne because the water is rarely clear. During this search, divers discovered a number of additional shipwreck artifacts buried in clay
Or the wreck could be there under sand and mud perfectly preserved.
Yes become current and give us news!!!
I'm thinking at the current SP that this is worth a gamble but as always each investor should do their own DD and form their own opinions...
After analyzing the discovered artifacts, it was conjectured the cultural material from Melbourne constituted that of a 1715 shipwreck site. The known 1715 Fleet shipwreck sites lay scattered along a stretch of coastline popularly called the Treasure Coast that is located approximately 14 miles to the south at Sebastian Inlet. Close examination of the silver platters and flintlock pistol suggest that these artifacts might well serve as diagnostic artifacts (see Diagnostic Artifacts information below). These two diagnostic artifacts may lead to the identification of the Melbourne shipwreck as one of the missing vessels of the 1715 Plate Fleet (Figure 7). If Melbourne could be proven to contain one of the missing 1715 Fleet shipwrecks, a new chapter could be added to the extensive history of the lost fleet.
Through the development of local knowledge in the Melbourne Beach area it has been ascertained that local metal detectorists have routinely discovered Spanish colonial coins on the beach adjacent to the scattered offshore site. When cleaned the coins underwent numismatic examination and were found to be from the Mexico City Mint. The dates on the coins were as early as 1701, with eight and four real coins having later dates that included 1710 and 1711. No coins have been discovered in the immediate area dating later than 1714.
This wreck could be anywhere close to the site or in the site. imo.
The Muckelroy wrecking theory model examines the ship from the beginning of the wrecking incident to the end of the wrecking incident when the wreckage achieves some semblance of stability. Muckelroy refers to two primary processes that occur
16
over the course of a shipwreck, these processes are named the ‘extraction process’ and the ‘scrambling process.’ For example, a 1715 vessel caught offshore in a hurricane might jettison heavy objects like anchors or cannons, an example of the extraction process. The vessel might start to break-up from the force of wind and waves; perhaps the stern-castle is detached and is carried away from the structure of the vessel or perhaps the gun deck becomes separated from the hull — more extraction.
The Muckelroy Model and the Melbourne Beach Site
The question now needs to be asked – how does the Melbourne Beach site conform to the 1715 shipwreck model? The Melbourne Beach site is a strewn area of both large and small shipwreck artifacts, anchors, cannon, wood material and coins scattered over limestone hard bottom and open areas of sand from varying points offshore to the present unstable and eroding shoreline.
Archeologist, Dr. Robert H. Baer said, “Close examination of the silver plates and flintlock pistol strongly indicate that these artifacts may well serve as diagnostic artifacts that may lead to the identification of the Melbourne Beach shipwreck as one of the vessels of the ill-fated Spanish 1715 Plate Fleet.”
Conclusion
From the evidence, it is concluded that the diagnostic artifacts – the Monteros Platter and the Ramirez Flintlock Pistol recovered at the Melbourne Beach site approxiamately 14 miles north of the 1715 shipwreck sites is undoubtedly cargo from a missing 1715 shipwreck. It is believed that the vessel scatter at the site is that of the Santisima Trinidad y Nuestra Señora de la Concepcieon, the vessel that transported the consigned box of presents including the Monteros Platter from Veracruz to Havana and from Havana to the Florida Treasure Coast where it was recovered almost 300 years later.

How's Indy?
Thanks Gman I hadn't seen them but agree and let's see what they can find this summer.
"Gee...I wonder how long that pop will last
with everyone running for the exit at once???"
If they find the concepcion of the 1715 fleet and it's announced on world news tonight I think it could last a while. Experts believe it's somewhere in or close to KK's permitted area. I'm thinking a lot of investors would wager a nickel per share to see if KK can get the recovery permit. Also you have to take into consideration how long it will take Spain to bring it to court and from my experience watching court cases it can last forever so my opinion is the window could be very long. Also us everyday traders(not company funders to convert)want to buy low and sell high as warren buffet suggests. I don't care why a stock rises here in pinky land I just hope to make a profit and will feel good about it if I do...also KK is always looking for new sites so that could cause a rise also.
And duh the only way a treasure hunting company can stay alive before they find treasure is to sell shares..do some research and you'll find plenty history of this with companies that eventually became successful.
I'm ready to dive back in if things align well. We'll see...
I think it's entirely possible!
$SFRX$
Lol you don't make much progress in the Melbourne area in the winters so the 4 years they've been on the site only gives them several months of diving. I'm hoping this summer they'll continue to follow the debri trail to the treasure. My other thought is they know where the treasure is and are waiting until the recovery permit is signed.
My point is there were two great trading opportunities last year with SFRX so it was a good year if you made those trades....
"It was trading around .004 then and it’s now in the trips."
It was around .001 before it ran to .004 area last year and a lot of savy investors made good money.
What's your point? Isn't that what we're trying to do? Make money on investments?
"I understand deBry isn't "salvor friendly" based on comments by Kyle, but do you think he would lie to the Court?"
No.

I'm thinking it will change this summer but make your own investing decisions...
I have to say I disagree. IMO global didn't work with the state as it takes these days but just my take.
I think the main hold up has been dealing with the state of Florida getting permits but just my opinion.
Definitely staying somewhat sideways which is good but need good news for a big move imo.
If it comes the everyday investors will do well. I'm routing for that.
"Who knows, probably just a poster trying to get the pps up."
Some try to get it up and some try to get it down imo. Just part of the deal with micro caps.
I'm surprised this stock held so well over the winter. I was hoping to add in mid trips but it hasn't happened as of now. It had a nice rise last spring out of nowhere...repeat this spring? Of course imo if they announce they received the recovery permit it should rise much higher from here. Since they can't bring treasure up without it who knows what they've found or haven't found...
Without good news this will fall again. I feel like it's coming but this has been a difficult stock to play as far as when to jump back in.
Thanks nice to see they're getting out a little during winter.
"Until I see movement I am out"
Same here sold near the peak and now will watch for possible reentry.
Excellent keep'em coming!
I agree KK gets it done with the state and from what I understand he is working with the French also.
"it except federal rights in state waters."
Excellent another important step accomplished...
"The only recovery permit in 30 plus years wasn’t obtained via a standard application. They settled with the state and had to pay legal fees."
Who cares how KK successfully got it? Job well done imo.
We'll see what happens. If you don't understand how it works with the state then I understand your blanket statement. Perhaps GME should have hired KK to help them with the state?
Lol and that would be fine buy me and then find a few coins and bam!
As long as I buy on the dips and sell for a profit I don't care what they do or how they do it!
This will rise again out of the darkness. The only question is when to add.
I've been playing this for years so i'll be ready if happens.
I'm out now i'll possibly jump back in later. I just can't stand leaving good money on the table.
Lol that was funny.
