To those of you who are really bothered by someone's posts, there is an ignore option available. I've utilized it, and it works nicely.
Lovely, a short/last (who knows?) check with no explaination as to why.
Nope, just a DM who can log into our email, from their computer and read the same thing I can. And we can safely assume we have DMs on here. You know with only 77 studios to watch they have sooo much free time. lol
MN85 hasn't posted before, and mentioned an info packet in the email.
We have been told that if our DM finds out who we are they will work to get us fired. I have seen on my email when I go back into the studio the last login location. So, in my paranoid head, I assume that if I can think it, they can too. Whether it's legal or not I don't know.
Just saying, logging in from home is traceable and the "packet" refered to in an earlier post could be a plant to flush out who we are. I would imagine IF that post was a plant, the person would assume we would go look at our email from home, corporate has our address, phone, and email, etc. so, theoretically, someone could look up who logged in from home, and thereby trace it back to those on here in the time frame after the post was made. Paranoid? Yes that's me.lol
Has anyone else noticed that most of the "bonus" programs have a built in feature of cutting your bonus in half?
I wouldn't look in the studio email from home to look for a packet, it shows on the screen the last place you logged in from. Traceable.
When you got that check out of the blue for "back pay", that was part of the settlement process. The employee won the case, and got her compensation, and CPI was held accountable to give us the wages we were supposed to have gotten. If you think about it, about that time the DMs started to get on us about making sure we were "on the clock" when we were in the studio.
The ones from 2010 have been resolved, I do believe. If you worked for a certain time frame you got a settlement check issued to you in a paper form. They "explained" it as "an accounting error" it came from out of the blue to me. I learned recently what had actually transpired. I don't know about the others.
What email? What packet? Share with the rest of us please!
BoA doesn't want more bad publicity? I mean really they have done just a stellar job since the bailout, right? Just a thought.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that our name is not prominently and proudly displayed in all of our marketing, and if the studio has been remodeled the signage is "Portrait Studio". I was told that WM wanted us to blend in. Smart Styles has it's NAME displayed over it's entrance.
It states in the Sec Filing that there are two interested buyers one for part and one who could be for most. Neither want all. If I understood what I read correctly. No names have been given. This is a legal document.
Mine was a 4 yr old little boy, my first Christmas as a studio manager. His mom never had much money but she brought the kids to me when she could. He was wearing one of those vest pantsets that WalMart sells. A few months later he'd died in a car wreck, and I found his obit, with the picture I took. We matter.
We are not "fine".
It was released in the St Louis paper today that we have 180 days to meet their basic level of at least 10 cents a share or we will be kicked down to a lower level tier.
So since Feb. 2012, we have been downgraded how many times?
The sessions are archived on both computers. They are only stored for up to 13 weeks in their normal places, but you can retrieve them at least 2 different ways that I know of studio level for an undetermined time frame.
Lying or Not? Have you read any press releases stating that we have buyers? I haven't.
I've read press releases about our Sec Filings, our buying struggling companies, when we are struggling, our selling the Bella brand & our own company HQ, our quarterly reports of losses dating back to 2010, our closing studios, and the list goes on.
We are told on almost a daily basis that we're FINE, we AREN'T closing. So, go read all those postings in the ST Louis newspapers, the SEC Filings, etc. and then determine for yourself if we are being lied to.
Furloughed. Really, why don't they use the common word for what it is. Laid off. Unemployed, subject to possible recall but don't count on it.
Probably not her. This person has been posting since long before we came on board. However, I think that this person enjoys baiting us, and is playing with us.
I have been very lucky with the lab. I've gotten pics in and been able to deliver them out from mid Jan. I'm still waiting on framed products and I've got a list. My customers are for the most part being nice about things so far. But I have taken out all items not produced by our labs in my collections because even before Christmas they weren't coming in as quickly as the lab stuff.
I'm jealous.
I'm open more than that, my goals aren't close to yours, but, I'm also right next to the income based housing. I can only think that since I don't have a sister studio very close to me that's why I'm open more. But believe me, I'm starting to get my sister's business because I am open and they can get in even if they have to drive.
Downsideup, I want to thank you to. I recognized what you posted back in October, as what was happening right now, and hoped you were still here. And thanks for reminding us that our shareholders could be, working class folks just like us, whose 401k admin. used their retirement funds to invest in us. At sometime those investers believed in US.
Last year I was pulling the studio out of the hole it had been left in when I got it, so it was easy to comp those sales, it was a different story when I had to start comping my own sales. Like you say, closed 1 day a week, now I'm closed more this year.
No offense taken. Just have ran across people who didn't know you could use both. I'm sorry you are having such a tough time getting your equipment fixed. I know it was a pain when my sas died.
our FB page, Sears Sucks, CPI Complaints. Type in your brand and surf, they are everywhere. Some of the ones that were very recent were on sears sucks. FB has one on there where the customer was posting while she was waiting and been waiting for 1/2 hr or so.
Complaints range from pics not in to poor attitude, poor call back from SM/DM/Corporate, stores not open, wait times etc.
I looked at mine this morning for the next few weeks, and wonder what the heck I was doing this time last year. I'm up a creek again since I was in the green for the most part till 3Q.
We are getting slammed by customers across the board. While searching for info I come across different sites, and customers are NOT happy with us. All brands are taking a huge customer service hit, the customers are posting their "horror" stories, giving locations, and associate names. If we are salvaged, what in the heck are we going to have to do to turn that around? That stuff stays out there forever.
My sales computer and my server both burn CDs. Which one of yours is down, perhaps you can use the other? I assume that all computers with the exception of the SAS computer can burn them.
I've gotten pics in, but haven't seen any memory books, dog tags or 5x7 cards, does anyone have an eta on those?
Corporate starting using the SM first/last and middle initial, in late summer early fall of 2011. To my knowledge no one was asked for permission or compensated for the use of their name. The studio location is/was used under the SMs name as well. I personally don't know if this is legal or not. I do know that corporate has used names of SMs that have left the company even after they have left. This can be proven. So, did corporate consider their employees safety when they chose to use SM names?
Getting our names and phone numbers, I'm betting was to try to make sure no one not with the company was/is on our conference calls, since the codes were posted here. And it might have something to do with a gentleman and his explicitives on one of the calls as well.
Did anyone consent to the use of their full name in the emails to customers?
The 4 sits and $350 is what DL said all studios have to do after he'd number crunched. My previous DM told us about the 4 sits first then the $350 in sales.
I've read these posts too, even the investors before we hijacked this site.
If we are sold and salvaged somehow, I hope our new owners, have ears to hear, a brain to think, and a heart to care, because they will be getting passionate caring, employees that can show them we can do anything with the right encouragement. Flowers bloom the best in the sunshine and light, don't you agree?
downsideup, just look at us, you hit it on the head.
CDs have the most profit. Selling it @80 is like a $75-78 pure profit. Think no lab or shipping fees, so the studios selling it for that really aren't hurting their studio. In my opinion it's win/win. Customer gets what they want TODAY, we make almost pure profit, customer learns how much printing costs are when they pay to print their pics individually.
