He can rule anytime he is ready. With that said, I think this morning's decline may be a result of investors feeling that HJJ's ruling may take longer than people expected because of the revised appeal briefing schedule. Personally I think that idea is ridiculous but nervous investors looking for some extra cash for summer vacation may be exiting now.
Sounds good to me! I'm sure the agreement is of far less value than what we could get from Google, but income is income. I'm wondering if VRNG has another target in mind or if the company will focus on the tasks at hands. Thoughts?
That's what I thought too! If that's true, we wouldn't get the numbers until earnings, right?
So...who's next on VRNG's radar? Does the company hunker down and focus on the GOOG appeal and ZTE litigation, or does VRNG have another target in mind? Any thoughts?
Nothing to complain about there! I can wait as long as it takes. Just trying to sort through this very odd agreement. Think I'll have a couple of beers to settle my head. Enjoy your evening!
I'm still confused about some things, so maybe you can walk me through this:
1) Is Vringo due to receive a running royalty from Microsoft? If so, is the royalty capped at the 3.5% the jury awarded?
2) Are you aware of the full terms of the liscencing agreement? Are there monies to be revealed when earnings come out, or is the agreement limited to the terms revealed in today's 8k?
I'm sure you or others have discussed this already, but there have been a bunch of postings I've missed today. Perhaps I'm overthinking this and all terms are there in the 8k, but I wanted to be sure (or as sure as you top-tier posters are about things!). Overall, this is the strangest journey I taken with a stock and it's getting stranger all the time!
Thanks in advance,
Doc
So Google gets the last word?
Hope we get another nice run in the last hour. Would be nice to end green on an otherwise red day for the market...
High volume and the threat of a lunchtime raid, lol. Seriously though the skips and jumps in SP are making me dizzy! Can't wait to find out what's next...

Could today be the day, or will HJJ rule closer to May 37th? Kidding...
Will the addition to the Russell Index provide a boost to the SP, or will we have a repeat of "NASDAQ Day"? Any thoughts?
Q/E and GOOG have to wait too...
VRNG has gone down to the wire before. The response will be out before midnight.
While we wait: Who here thinks we get a ruling before the end of the month? If not the end of the month, when? Just trying to kill time here while I wait like everyone else. Good luck, all!
Here's to hoping there's a good reason the company missed the conference...
Wasn't there some sort of conference or presentation for VRNG today? I don't know if it's a big deal or not, but I thought I read something about it last month...
I must admit I was surprised. It's nice to see the price doesn't have to swan dive with every Google filing or S/A article. Now we wait....
Wow, what a nightmare session! 4 cents? Not that I enjoy losing ANY money, but I can deal with the closing number...
It's a shame the average investor won't see it that way. Looks like tommorow is gonna be a long, long day.
I feel good about things, but I'm also trying to eliminate as many possible tactics GOOG can use or try to use. I think we have a wealth of intelligent posters here, so maybe we should work together to alleviate some doubt. My question is this: CAN GOOG file a motion to delay the ruling on the basis of the USPTO's decisionto look into the patents? Not looking for the likelihood, I just would like to know if it 's possible...
Isn't the 20th the date HJJ COULD rule? I'm anticipating some (more) time being taken here...
If VRNG and MSFT don't settle by the deadline, can another extension be granted? Just thinking the extension deadline and possible ruling date could be VERY close...
Gues my thought was, if Microsoft's delay on hearing due to settlement discussions will likely come sooner than we get a final ruling, wouldn't Microsoft consider making a move? Just a discussion topic, nothing more...
Doesn't this nonsense leave MSFT with extra time to decide how they want to deal with things on their end?
What can VRNG say that will make a difference? The order is in. Nothing to do now but wait.
Didn't GOOG request a briefing with Dr. Becker a while back?
I thought treble damages were off the table...
Volume is jumping. Over half a million trades now...
Shorts will take advantage of any/all lapses in news. I hope there's a somewhat steady climb over the next few weeks, but I don't really know what will happen.
Another thing to consider: although both sides must respond to VRNGs royalty motion, it doesn't mean that JJ will rule right away. As we all have learned, shorts will feast on any laspes in rulings....
That would be great, but that seems high without a final ruling. For some reason, I a little nervous. Am I the only one? The denial of the JMOLs is awesome, but the shorts have beaten this stock down before on minimal negative news (in this case, it could be the denial of the one-day trials). Maybe the last few months have gotten to me more than I thought. Thoughts?
Still looking around varios message boards for someone with a Benzinga subscription. TD Ameritrade posts a lot of Benzinga's bylines but not the articles.
TD Ameritrade has another Benzinga article up. "Hearing positive chatter in Vringo". If anyone subscribes, let us know what they've 'heard'...

I suppose that, if Vringo sold the company, that price would have to be pretty high in order for them to pay Nokia...
Thanks. I appeciate you taking the time. I'm a long time follower of the board and I have my shares and plenty of patience. With that said I'm still relatively new to the nuances of I/P engines and patent litigation, and your expertise has been helpful on more than a few occasions.
Think he'll have anything interesting to reveal at said conference? I'd say the timing of the announcement is interesting...
Any thought on the conference appearance this Friday?
According to TD Ameritrade, Microsoft is looking to settle...
Could someone give me last quarters numbers? Working through a 21 credit semester while running a small business so I apologize for not being up to snuff here. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
