I sent it already.
Anybody see Nova the other night. It was about the "Formula That Shook the World" - the Black-Scholes Formula to determine how much a call option is worth at any given time.

I can e-mail the link to anyone who wants it. I got it
from my broker.

Has anyone subscribed to 'Angelic predictions' ChairMail (E-Mail List)?
Wassdat all about anyway?
I have the utmost respect for Bob. I didn't
realize he was where the buck stopped. I
retract what I said earlier (sorry Bob).
rose :)
P.S. My angels are telling me that Bob'll
sort it out (g). They never let me down.
We have completely different posting histories
so I have no idea what the connection is.
If we're thinking about the same person as the
sender, I've never posted to, or received a message
from him before unless, of course, it was under
another alias.
You know, what's the freaking point of all this
nonsense anyway?
rose
Good in theory Poet, but how do you
expect to influence the "powers that be".
Especially if you don't have status
that others might.
rose
Would a message like that be traceable do
you think?
Richard, please disregard my previous post
to you.
I am indeed naive.
I thought you were referred to a different "V"
and it didn't make sense.
I'll just say good day now and hope you all
have a good one.
rose
Then this sort of stuff only happens on Ihub
and its a problem specific to this site I guess.
I've never seen it happen on SI or Yahoo have you
and we're talking about the same players.
Very strange.
Good morning R.Black
Someone`s fooling around here. Who could it be? Just who on iHub is pretty confortable with HTML stuff? The letter V comes to mind for some reason.
My guess is many many people online are comfortable with
HTML stuff.
I might be naive, but aren't you being a bit paranoid?
rose
Morning Poet.
I never thought of that.
I assumed it was posted by the same character
who posted the spam just previously.
And because several people had complained to
Bob about it, that he had deleted it. And
then I figured that regardless of who deleted
the post, the "deleted by the chairman" message
automatically comes up.
I recall Bob saying when he was SIBob that he
didn't like deleting during busy hours cause
it would cause everything to go wonky. Well,
everything went kind of wonky on this thread
when the post was deleted.
I can't read anything more sinister than that
into it, but then again, WDIK?

Been a helluva year I'd say.
I bought JDSU long before I ever heard
of the porch.
Was happier than a "pig in shit" (excuse
the expression) as I watched it go up to
$133 and beyond. Glad I bought it when I
did - wish I had sold it when I should have.
However, I did dabble a little with ELON and
one you missed, LPTH, solely on the strong
recommendations emanating from the Porch.
Luckily, only in a minor way.
How about you? Any of those in your basket?
No - I think probably a poltergeist.
Something you want to tell me - you know,
from a previous life? Those mischievous
ghosts don't usually hang around for no
reason (g).
Something wrong here.
The thread is blank on my screen.
When I go to "next message", I get this:

How about you?
Hello Bob
You might have interest in this poster.
He posted this particular message on 14 boards:

Doesn't seem kosher to me.
Nice talking to you again.
rose
(roserrsp on SI)
You've been a busy guy - same post on 14 different
threads.
Geeze - have a vested interest or what?
ROTBLMAO - nothing but the same old same old, eh.
Maybe we should forget about May and jump right
into June!
rose
Historically, this is where the Naz closed for
the months of April, May, June going back to 1991.
1991: April-484.72; May-506.11; June-475.92
1992: April-578.68; May-585.31; June-563.60
1993: April-661.42; May-700.53; June-703.95
1994: April-733.84; May-735.19; June-705.96
1995: April-843.98; May-864.58; June-933.45
1996: April-1190.52; May-1243.43; June-1185.02
1997: April-1260.76; May-1400.32; June-1442.07
1998: April-1868.41; May-1778.87; June-1894.74
1999: April-2542.86; May-2470.52; June-2686.12
2000: April-3860.66; May-3400.91; June-3966.11
2001: April-2116.24;
In recent history, from 1998, May dropped, but
bounced back in June to above April closings.
Any "angelic predictions" for the merry month
of May, 2001? Maybe one like 1997? Not that
this means anything at all anyway.
as my friend says,
just ramblin
rose
Look forward to it DG.
Have you ever read any of Jumper's posts?
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/msg.gsp?msgid=15733210
He's a very funny guy - perhaps too irreverent for an "angelic"
thread, but what the hell.
He's in and out of SI jail a lot and unfortunately, all of his
"bottom slapping" posts have been removed (a take off of the market finding the bottom sort of). They were hilarious! His
wit reminds me a lot of what you used to be able to find on
the old porch, way back when.
rose
... and probably our last. You can find me
on SI (roserrsp) if you've got anything to say.
ciao.
Rose, markets acting as if all economic problems are over and it`s all uphill and beautiful from here on.
Naz is only up a little over 3% - i think today is just another up day in a perpetual see-saw market. Up and down
like a toilet seat. Good for traders I guess, but not for me, unfortunately - I'm LTB&H.
When will reality set back in again?
Don't you think it has? I'm hopeful that when visibility
returns to FO we'll turn around and move forward quickly.
Problem is, my angels aren't telling me when (g).
Are you fully invested at this point? Do you buy shares
or options? Do you invest for the long term?
rose
Good morning R.Black
My angels are telling me not to plan on
quitting my day job any time soon.
Do yours have anything of interest to say
on this last day of April?
Laf, it just occurred to me that you could
always post to Polvie at the Yahoo site:
http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/nnbm
I'm sure everyone checks in there from time to
time. This will probably be my last post here,
but you can send a Private Message.

Hi Julie
Nice to hear from you again.
You can find some of us over at Polvie's Bar.
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=36873
That's were he and Clappy (when he's not on
holidays mainly hang out. I was tossed off
the porch so 'iffen I gots' anything to say,
I generally say it at the "Bar", but it's
pretty much nonsense anyway.
I hope you've managed to hold it all together
during this nasty downturn.
rose
Shit Bonnie, I own (owned) RMBS too. (g)
Not much, mind you, but and I sold it
today at $22.00. Not nice to poke fun at
the dim-witted (no offense Julie, I'm referring
to myself.)
And I've followed down it for the past year,
along with JDSU, NT, etcetera, etcetera.
(I knew I shouldn't have watched "The King
and I" again)
Do you not have anything that you've
followed down? If not, you are a better man
than I, gunga din (g).
