I like 'Tagstream' for the Watermark to sell alongside Clipstream G2.
The CEO knows the number of share holders. That information is required to count the Proxy Voting rights for each shareholder.
No - I do not watch companies that small. The lack of information on shares sold by insiders makes the risk too high. Over 800 Million shares in that one.
brooklyn, I expect to have some interesting marketing challenges ahead that involve helping kids. If you care to give me some marketing insights and have some fun - look at brainsingear.com
This is a side project that I started 25 year ago.
cci, Steve is trying to deflect the blame for a perceived September release date after he originally stated - Spring Quarter, then 4th Quarter, then Early 1st Quarter. Now, it is November - possibly October.
That is a hollow shift in the blame for a 'not my statement' statement about any confusion over the release date for G2.
Also, I might have included September in one of my discussions about sales for the 1st quarter.
where he would direct Microsoft into using Open Source Software to save the company money and reduce occurrence of bug problems.
When your spouse criticizes you incessantly, the best option is divorce.
Please sell your shares if you do not believe in the management, or read my June post again.
Maybe there is, but promoting anything during the last two weeks of August is not the optimal time to woo investors.
IMO - These few 'meetings' are about getting introductions to key players in the investment world. If 20 percent of the key investment managers are at these meetings, then you have recommendations into bigger, more private meetings that can be scheduled in the fall.
Steve said the early first quarter - September. I should not have specified a single day. That is too specific - although possible.
You don't understand because you are not a software developer.
It is very easy to spend a lot of money early that is wasted due to development delays. For instance - the initial schedule for the full release was early April (spring) - now it is Sept 1st. Timing is everything.
In late May - Destiny figured out how to double the quality of the videos during the Market Research product testing of movie trailers.
It is better to be slow and conservative than fast and foolish, although fast and foolish looks better at the start.
I do not know the EOY price. It will depend on the execution of marketing plans.
NQ seems to have done well for investors, but I do not invest in Chinese companies. I do not know how their accounting systems and accountability system works over there. The SEC has very little authority to boot out poor management.
Brooklyn is doing quite well since he was a long with a negative view of management rather than the likes of ANYDAYNOW.
Since brooklyn stopped complaining on this board, the price has soared.
This run up from 80 cents in early June has been fun, eh?
No words from ANYDAYNOW recently. Is he suffering from his loss of wealth - selling all those shares to us?
z, The counting confusion problem is easy to solve.
Just round up your count of shares to a nice even number like 1 million shares. It makes the counting of profits and estimating of future profits much easier.
Give us your address. We will pass along your ideas and contact information to Microsoft and the software piracy consortium.
:)
'Just saying. I think the idea is great. Unfortunately I think there is a circumvent around it also.'
You make a general statement without any knowledge of the software or supplying any details about how. Therefore, your comments are useless.
Please go back to your other penny stock board unless you provide real facts that are valuable to readers here.
Go back to your other board, Please.
Dogmatic comments are not wanted here.
Yes, Music and videos (with Clipstream G2).
Security 1: The watermark patents allow the music and videos to be traceable with encoded details of the user or group in the file.
Security 2: Destiny can lock the user of the video to a specific computer if very restrictive security is desired.
Security 3: No one can copy the video content to play a variant copy from their own web address.
Also look into Ultra Electronics.

They seem to be flying UAVs in Afghanistan right now using propane for fuel.
And you complain about my Due Diligence, Ha.
look into www.protonex.com
http://www.protonex.com/technology/fuel-options.aspx
They have options for using multiple fuels for multiple size fuel cells. The UAV-H5000 power system was reveal last year for use on UAVs.
http://www.upi.com/Business_News/Security-Industry/2012/08/08/Protonex-unveils-UAV-UGV-fuel-cell/UPI-49571344442559/
'Protonex said the military version of the UAV-H500 was used by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory to set a flight endurance record on its small, unmanned aerial vehicle, the Ion Tiger. The aircraft was aloft for more than 26 hours, setting an endurance record for fuel cell powered flight.'
Another model of Fuel Cell using Liquid Hydrogen sets a new record this spring - 48 hours of flight time. A project sponsored by the Navy.

You are focused on comparing fuel cell companies vs market cap.
I am focused on comparing the MKTY methanol solution vs other systems that work better or have a better market opportunity.
It is a difference of option. If I am right, then the methanol opportunity will fizzle out despite the 5.2 million market cap.
Thanks, I am doing fine with my DSNY shares bought in the 60s and 70s.
My comments here aren't hurting any of the HTFBS investors. If this stock appears less attractive because of my comments the available dollars will go into the other HTFBS favorites.
I am just raising some long-term growth yellow flags due to the science of using methanol fuel. If I am right, then I am doing some investors a favor by raising these issues. If I am wrong, then it won't matter in the long-run anyway because the stock price will overcome my concerns.
I am not against this stock for any reason. I tried to invest in the fuel cell companies 10 years ago when there was huge hope for these companies to change the world. I bought into some of the hydrogen fuel cell hype and researched other fuel cell options - which all panned out as fools gold.
The fact that this company has no operations means that they will have to ramp up over a period of 1-3 years to make significant deliveries for their products without any partnerships. With partnerships, they can ramp up sooner - but they lose some of the upside earnings.
There are many companies who make fuel cells these days. I think the military is already working on several UAV projects with different parties who have operating units. The hurdles for MKTY seems to be high for a company so small without any capital to move fast on new opportunities for their patents that are already 5-9 years old.
I think TROV is being manipulated here during the dogs days of summer. I am hoping for some key news with the quarterly report.
I can understand you switch, but I am staying put with this one.
I just read some document about Dr. Robb owning 5% of MTI Micro - with his Counter Point fund owning another 47&.
This is puzzling to me that 85 year old executive would put those resources into a company in the fuel cell market that failed so miserably in the last decade.
IMO - the assets will be sold to another company that has the resources to take the product to market.
To be a Board member is not a full-time job.
Directors usually get paid for attending meetings several times per year.
I do not know how much work Dr. Robb is doing for MKTY, but he is also on other boards as well and he may be still active as president of Vantage Management, Inc.
'since October 31, 2005, Dr. Robb has been a management consultant and President of Vantage Management, Inc.'
How much work can he be doing for MTI Micro Fuel Cells?
Yes. My ignorance is why they suspended operations in 2011.
The investment world if full of companies with directors who get paid good money for their reputations even when they aren't really making good decisions.
I do not know enough about Dr. Robb to say anything definitely. I personally do not see a future BIG stock with methanol fuels. Their may be enough opportunity here to see some gains on this stock, but I am not investing in methanol solutions.
Today's news reports that two different fuel distribution plants had explosions that seriously crippled their operations. One plant was a propane plant in Florida, one is a corn oil (maybe ethanol) plant in Kansas. Both cases are tragic. I am glad that neither plant is a methanol plant.
The Mar 2000 Spike due to the stock bubble shows the price over 200 per share. That was a stock manipulated bubble value.
I can find it on Yahoo finance, although it is a worthless number.
I found 46 good patents under MTI MicroFuel Cells - with no space between Micro Fuel, and 12 other patents pending. Patents are less than 10 years old.
So that is where some value is.
True. The same can be said for Alzheimer's.
This guy is still on multiple corporate boards. Somehow, I think his activity on these boards is declining.
He retired from GE in 1992 where he did most of his R&D work in the late 80s. I can't see him researching new works at his age even if he is still very healthy and active. The labor investment is better spent on someone younger than sixty.
He started on the board quite a while ago, so he had to have a say in the decision to suspend MTI Micro's operations in 2011.
Is this the Dr. Walter Robb you are referring to.
http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/person.asp?personId=607716&privcapId=3118330&previousCapId=268053&previousTitle=DU%20PONT%20%28E.I.%29%20DE%20NEMOURS
Age: 85?
Director: MTI MicroFuel Cells, Inc.
Well regarded, yes. recent R&D? Not found.
Please remember that the last quarterly report stated that there are NO EMPLOYEES for MTI Micro Fuel Cells. The company is currently inactive.
What is there to Direct? A perfect job for an 85 year old executive.
The only patent document that appears for any Walter Robb, Inventor is for a Restroom Mat.
ID: D544,282
'CLAIM The ornamental design for a restroom mat, as shown and described.'
Yippee, I found 192 expired and near-expired patents from before 1997 under the corporate name - Mechanical Technology Incorporated, using AN/"Mechanical Technology Incorporated". Some are from the mid-70s, but I haven't look at them all in detail. Less than 10 of these patents are less than 20 years old.
The company is in Latham NY.
Zero Patent applications under this company name.
All the patents that I select have no value to investors since the patent protection has expired.
How exciting is that? They can present these patent documents on the Antiques Roadshow.
I found 1 more patent, 1 patent application under "MTI Instruments"
With a 10/03/2002 filing date.
Where are the patents?
www.freepatentsonline.com shows only 9 documents associated with MTI Micro using the search AN/"MTI Micro"
Only two US patents, one World patent application, and 6 other US patent applications that have yet to be approved despite being over five years old.
No recent patent applications - US or World.
The USPTO.gov site shows the same details without the World document.
If they have other patents, they must be under another company name.
The presentation gives a lot of details that I can't verify.
Patent count
Stakeholders?
The manufacturing 'line' looks about twice as big as my kitchen and dining room - which isn't all that big.
How are they going to deliver larger government contracts from that small work space?
One of their three Air Force contracts is just about filled from the order delivered in Q1.
I see only two US Patents by MTI Micro and the patent names are similar, so one patent could obsolete the other.
I see only 6 patent applications - all are 5-9 years old. So those may be dying on the vine.
Is their a different company name prior to 2004?
I am just wanting to find the facts, mam.
Who says these guys sell Fuel Cells?
The MTI Micro division is currently inactive according to the last Quarterly report.
'Currently, MTI Micro has no employees and projects to spend between $5 and $10 thousand per month for operating activities including rent, limited sales efforts, patent fees to keep the patent portfolio current and minimal consultant costs to perform these initiatives.'
I do not know enough about the military needs to make any decisions on this. However, I see other options that compete with MKTY.
Here is a propane based fuel cell option for UAVs.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/planes-uavs/longer-lasting-drones-powered-by-fuel-cells-15425554
'The enhanced Stalker XE 240 can stay in the air four times longer than its petroleum-burning counterpart, thanks to a small propane fuel cell.'
'The fuel cell has a nominal output of 245 watts when burning 112 grams of propane an hour. The Marines have a scrubber to remove the odor (added to domestic propane for safety reasons) and other contaminants from commercial-grade propane so they can use it. Dirty propane would gradually degrade the fuel cell and reduce its ability to generate power; the scrubber lets the Marines use propane from any source. And because countries around the world use propane for cooking and heating, DARPA figures supply should not be a problem.'
So I see competition for methanol fuel cell even in the UAV market for military uses. This model uses propane that is available as a standard fuel throughout the world.
Found California laws on Methanol fuels:
'The M-100 fuel methanol at ambient conditions must have a distinctive and noxious taste, for purposes of preventing purposeful or inadvertent human consumption. Applicable 1/1/95.'
'The M-100 fuel methanol upon vaporization at ambient conditions must have a distinctive odor potent enough for its presence to be detected down to a concentration in air of not over 1/5 (one-fifth) of the lower limit of flammability. Applicable 1/1/95.'
http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/altfuels/regs/altregs.pdf
It appears that taste and smell additives are required wherever it might be sold.
Check the Home Depot website. Small camping fuels are available in store. Butane lighter cartridges, Propane camping fuels, all sorts of diesel merchandise including fuel stabilizers (although no diesel since you can get that from a gas station).
The only thing close to methanol is the denatured alcohol that is mostly ethanol with some methanol mixture to make it toxic and other crap to make it nauseating to smell or taste.
No retail outlets sell methanol in its pure form. There may be laws to prevent methanol and ethanol from being available to the general public. The denatured alcohol products developed out of those laws. According to Wikipedia, the denatured alcohol solution is not just a US solution. It is a worldwide standard in many developed countries.
Unfortunately for MKTY, a direct methanol fuel cell probably needs pure methanol to operate. So there lies a problem for them. They have to use sealed containers and get those products approved for transporting and selling to make there system work.
Maybe they can eventually sell their methanol cartridges in Home Depot like the butane cartridges for lighters.
