Personally, $1000/share is the bare minimum I would be satisfied with. Some of us have been in this since it was over $4/share prior to (2) 6-1 splits... If the Libigel trial had been designed properly, BPAX would be trading for $100/share (or more) today. That's $100 X 36... $1000/share is damn cheap for Libigel if it is what some make it out to be.
Not sure what you mean. Perhaps you are confusing me with someone else?
Follow-up on CVR with Fidelity (my fellow ballers and shot-callers):
I just got off the phone with Fidelity on a status update call (I contacted them about CVRs late last week). The customer service rep told me that the researcher stated they are currently in contact with "Continental Stock Transfer". I point this out because some folks have said the agent their broker dealt with was "Computershare". FWIW - I mentioned this to the rep and he said he would typically expect computershare but was sure the researcher had stated continental.
I'm supposed to get a follow-up call on Friday if no action by then. I'll keep the board in the loop.
Cheers!
Ok then. I thought you meant it wasn't that big of a deal. Either way I was just having some fun (thus the smiley face).
A "baller" is street slang for someone who made it (rich).
Perhaps our ideas differ about what "that much" means. I'd say thousands of shares times a few bucks is worth keeping an eye on. We can't all be ballers like you Catty
Hey Pete!
I'm so jealous man. I love chargers and challengers from that era. I dated a girl in high school whose dad owned a high-gloss black 1971 Challenger what was mint inside and out. I briefly considered marrying that two-faced tramp just for a chance at that car LOL. After being away from Mopar for a few years I just got a new jeep grand Cherokee with a hemi and I am loving it so far. We are fat and happy right now - I hope you all are as well.
I hear you on the CVRs - it's not much but it's something and after years of suffering through BPAX I'll take anything I can get. I hope some of the conjecture on the board is right and that them appearing is a foreshadowing of a deal being announced. Time will tell.
Good to hear from you!
Thanks for all the replies folks! This board rocks.
If I don't see anything by Monday I guess I'll call them and start trying to explain all of this. If they appear in the mean-time I'll let you all know about it.
Cheers!
Hello ANI junkies.
I am trading with Fidelity and see no CVR's (as of yet) in my account. I'm dreading calling them and trying to explain this... Ugh. Does anyone out there use Fidelity and show CVR in their account? If so, did they appear or did you have to call and ask?
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks. I think this was "a blind squirrel finding a nut" type moment. If I find any more on the lawn this weekend and decide to eat them; I'll let you know
My gut (and recent history) tells me we'll see low 50's again before we touch 70. Hopefully it was something I ate
Greetings JTFM,
I think everything you said is true and it's been going on for a while now.
I'm starting to feel like a frustrated father with ANI. Why won't my boy stick up for himself? How many beatings is he going to take before he throws a punch?
All of us longs believe this company is undervalued and that's why we're still here... but good grief! The same old story of "they are manipulating us" is getting hard to take. Grrrrr.
Seriously. When does it end?
So glad that your project is going well. It's nice to hear that regular Americans risking capital and working hard can still pay off.
I've taken a bit of a beating on paper too. However, my faith in management continues to grow and I was particularly pleased with the last conf. call. Every time I here Przybyl speak I leave feeling like my piece of the company is in good hands.
I'm buying a few shares more here and will hopefully be able to turn a quick profit on the way back up.
Good luck to you as well.
Dr. Pete in the house! How's the housing business is S. Ohio?
I'm still here too and also got lucky (after years of feeling not so lucky). I must admit however, I'm getting tired of this company flying under the radar and being so easily manipulated. It's especially disheartening as I listened to conf. call and really liked what I heard... I wish the market agreed with me.
Cheers!
JTFM,
Thanks for the response.
I only listen to the new a few minutes a day and this has been a been the primary topic of discussion in the last week or so (up until the plane crash yesterday). I have another company I own that I'm looking at closely on this as well - regardless of what some YMB dork has to say
IMO The converse would also apply here. Specifically, who is ANI competing with that imports from EURO zone countries and therefore may gain a competitive advantage?
I think these questions matter as I believe that earnings have and will continue to propel ANI higher. Especially since this is a "strong silent type" company.
Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone had an ideas on the following:
What % of ANI earnings is due to European sales?
Due to the problems with the Euro - How do you think this will affect earnings over the next year?
I don't post much any more but still try to follow along and see what everyone has to say. Thanks for all the information and occasional lively entertainment...
Hope everyone is doing well.
Cheers!
Howdy everyone! Just thought I'd throw in my .02 to agree with Jeff, Homey (and perhaps others I may have missed). This move seems very bullish to me. I'm excited to see what ANI does with the money. Then again, if the have decided to go it alone on libigel (and are thus raising capital) we may lose our CVR money... Though I can probably live with that if our stock price quintuples
Happy holidays!
Thanks. I did see that yahoo updated that recently.
I sure am tired of this nose-diving price with not a peep from the company. It's getting old watching my gains flush away. How hard is it with so few shares to bump the price with a PR or two? Fake ass MJ companies do it every day on hundreds of millions of shares with no product, no profit and no plan.
Anyone have any ideas on where the heck the quarterly numbers are???
That would be awesome. I'm so tired of owning companies that ignore market realities to the point that it makes me question their brains, their integrity, or both.
Dang. How times have changed.
Insider buying is always nice to see. I own some other companies that I really wish understood that. Thanks for posting!
That may very well be. However, the question remains... How much effort would it take to reiterate earnings estimates? How much effort would it take to have council give some of these analyst groups a call and ask them for an explanation of valuation methodology for ANIP vs. every other company that is similar in the numbers but has a much more favorable recommendation/estimate?
So... Our buddies at Zacks are suggesting we're about to get boned:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ani-pharmaceuticals-anip-falls-stock-104002717.html
Anyone have any other ideas on why we took that haircut yesterday?
I'm starting to get a little worried here. If we are so undervalued as some have pointed out, why is management doing nothing to challenge such obvious manipulation (and now suggestions of problems with earnings)? Hopefully we bounce back today - but either way I think this question is troubling.
That's good to know. Perhaps you and Pete are being greedy? I would happily take 33%
More and more I'm thinking these stock rating companies exist only as a mouthpiece for those who want to pump or short a stock... Apparently they are less accurate on average than guessing a coin toss: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/who-are-the-most-least-accurate-stock-gurus/
What's up with this? Zacks has ANIP rated as a "Strong Sell": http://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/ANIP?q=anip
Ya buddy. I promised myself last time it dipped down here I'd pick up a few more. Let it ride!
Thanks!
Hi everybody.
Anyone have any idea if this FDA decision is going to affect EPS? Was this baked into estimates? Any guesses on numbers for this upcoming report?
Also, was this product approved by the FDA or not? I'm confused if the bio-equivalency argument is:
1. A short approval path for a generic
2. So you can legally say "we do the same as xyz but for half the price"
3. Both
If it's #1 that is some damn sloppy work to not actually make the point of your study proving it's the same.
If it's #2 and the product is approved but you can't say it's the same, what's the issue? Go out there and do your job and sell this thing.
If it's #3, I'm back to calling it damn sloppy work that they didn't actually bother to make this a primary point in their studies. Did they just pull this out of <fill in the blank> one day and hope the FDA was asleep at the wheel?
What am I missing?
Hope everyone is well.
Thanks.
Thanks for reply. That info is very interesting. So where did the 3.5 million shares come from? With so many outstanding shares, it seems odd that 3.5 million were hidden away somewhere and not just created from thin air as I was thinking.
JTFM,
I think terms are getting confused here. A "Secondary Offering" (what I am talking about) is not the same as a "Secondary Market Offering" (What it seems you are talking about).
A secondary offering is creating shares (dilutive) and offering them for sale - and is what I understand ANI to have recently registered.
A secondary market offering is selling shares already in existence to a secondary market like an investment bank.
Please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secondary_market_offering
(The paragraph below what you quoted - I guess you didn't see it or the press stuff I read saying this was a "Secondary Offering" were wrong)
Let's chalk me being right about that one thing up as a blind squirell finding a nut .
I must say though, I'm not sure that diluting in order to get on an index is such a great idea for us right now. A 1300% or more earnings growth this year is likely to get us plenty of attention without hurting the shareholders. I would argue existing investors are willing to sell; just not at the current price. And since upward pressure on price would create sellers that fixes the available share problem. Not saying it won't happen as you predict, I just don't like it.
JTFM,
Are you 100% sure the SEC can "force" a company to dilute it's shares? Can you site a case? It just seems strange to me what with a market that is based on supply and demand (at least that's what I thought). I was under the impression that it was the market makers job to ensure liquidity.
I'm with you on the anniversary present; Things have been really quiet as of late. While I doubt I can get anyone at ANI to give me what I like to get on my anniversary, I'll take some news if they have it
Either way, enjoying the ride.
If you're in the coastal Carolina area, I'll be coming to see you for a lot. Unfortunately, it sounds like you're in the midwest (near the inlaws) so maybe not. Nice of you to include me in the friend prices though Thanks man.
Hey Porgy and Pete,
I took a look at this one as you guys suggested. I'm in. Thanks.
Sounds good. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks.
OT: A100, Pete
What do you guys think a good entry is for NVIV at this point? I have a few but might double down in the coming days with the dilution. Looks like Porgy is looking for 1.50.
Thanks.
LOL. My lady feels the same way (beer instead of booze). Thanks for the tip!
I tend to be as well (vodka/gin) but I make room for the occasional finer single-malt.
I got your PM. You are the man. Thanks Pete!
Thanks porgy! I'll check em out. I would offer you a few in return but my picks as of late have been not so great.
