Excellent post, and the WSJ post too - thanks Denny!
Yeah, is Green Knight on the board?
...Adding it all up, SYCRF could be worth $12-24. Even if it trades at 50% of book, that could be quite a return in a short amount of time from current levels of $3.65.
would be sweet!
Okay, gotta get to church...
yes, why would they?
After meeting with FDA, I imagine there will be another 2-3 month trial and if tmax looks good, then re-submit NDA.
Very good - thanks; hope you are correct about the dismissal!
Excellent input RockRaider. I'm not an expert but I was thinking along some of the same lines. It's nice that a knowledgeable investor thinks similarly.
It has been a long, hard road for us long-term holders, but the payoff has been spectacular.
Have to give thanks again to HoseDraggers for telling me of this stock many moons ago on the yahoo MBIA MB.
That's right, with Denny's DD it has given me much more comfort holding and purchasing more of the stock. And thanks also to all the other knowledgeable posters that are experts in the biz.
I'd say lots of folks knew of the news yesterday: see pps+ and high volume. But I'm happy, great news! Makes me feel better that I recommended stock to my nephew a few weeks ago :)
NEWS: Syncora Guarantee Announces Successful Refinancing of Reliance Rail
11/28/17
HAMILTON, Bermuda, Nov. 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syncora Guarantee Inc. (“Syncora” or the “Company”) today announced the successful refinancing of Reliance Rail, a large public private partnership for the design, manufacture and maintenance of commuter trains in Sydney, Australia. As insurer to 50% of the Reliance Rail debt, Syncora has been a strong voice in the negotiations and has worked diligently to help facilitate a refinancing. With the refinancing complete, Syncora has removed a significant flag list credit that comprises a substantial portion of its “liquidity mismatch.” Following the announcement, Frederick B. Hnat, Syncora’s Chief Executive Officer stated, “We are extremely pleased to see the successful completion of the Reliance Rail refinancing. The resolution of Reliance Rail effectively removes one of our largest and most complex credits, making it possible for the company to focus on our other key strategic initiatives.”
They voted and Snowman lost! Lots of good things appear to be really close for Syncora! First sycrf CC I've heard the CEO talk the stock up.
Any thoughts on the CC?
American Roads sold soon! Pleased with bids!
Sounds quite positive - thanks Denny! I'll be listening to the CC live tomorrow at 7:30 CT
Positives in the earnings?
Amazing it took a few hours after goose's post for the stock to move up; thanks for your early post goose! Great news!
bond ghouls waking up... way over reaction from a Trump PR tweet. MBIA up over 30% this morning!
MBIA and Prepa up today thus far...
PREPA bonds up... know it's hard for them, but the "bond ghouls" will eventually come around IMO
thanks, not until Nov. 13th. I jumped the gun
Where is it! I'm not seeing the results on Syncora's site.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s :)
good discussion guys - thanks
thinking PR situation will ease with time - checking bonds daily...

Aren't we supposed to get about 40 million from somewhere. Remember a few months ago...about the same time as getting sued. I remember Denny bringing it up.
I'm basing the support on the 200-day moving average (2) and the 50-day moving average (2.55). These are moving averages used by many money managers, that is, pretty standard. Let's see if they defend their positions at these levels. For example, if the stock falls to the 50-day or below, and then pops back above on strong volume, might be a buying opportunity. Obviously the secondary killed the rally, but it was nice getting an influx of cash at 6 pps. I think Mannkind's CEO is quite good.
Looking at the chart, that's where support lies.
thanks
Any news on this today, Denny?
PUERTO RICO ELECTRIC POWER AUTHORITY POWER REVENUE BONDS up today. Besides sycrf, monoliners had a decent day today. Be nice if some of the larger Syncora shareholders would defend the stock some.
Any thoughts of MBIA or Ambac at these levels, Denny, others ...?

POTUS comments were only intended to calm the mainstream media (dem party) in its attacks of his handling of PR. They are trying to make PR into Trump's Katrina (see George Bush). It's all about politics. Volume was scant today; picked up a little more at 2.16.
Snowball: what CEO doesn't enjoy the "gravy train"
Like David Faber said on CNBC, can't read too much into what POTUS said. Trump is worried the mainstream-media is trying to come down on him like they did on Bush and Katrina.
Perhaps Denny or some other knowledgeable poster would be kind enough to weigh in on this...
Syncora chart is looking very good. Very close to breaking out of a Double Bottom chart pattern (2.49 pivot). But as usual, not really enough volume for a strong confirmation.
Right, because of the hurricane, I was thinking the government may throw a bunch of money at PR, which actually may help out monoliners. Trump definitely doesn't want the mainstream media all of him like they where with Bush about Katrina.
thanks for the input betahighlander
Do you think the PR hurricane could have any affect on Syncora's PR interests? Thinking of adding more sycrf.
Been a long time since we have gotten pps+ moving PR so we are long overdue! thanks
Great news! Thanks for all the excellent and informative posts today, Denny!
Listened to the call. How much do you think American Roads may sell for? thanks for your info, Denny
hey, hey... a sale like that could generate some momentum!
