The only PRs that are going to float this boat are products, sales, and profits. I do not believe any of these will happen this week (month?).
How about:
PR: CBIS reports several orders for 100,000 units each, upgrades revenue estimates, and the market reacts accordingly.
If you want to dream, do it right. The price is not going to move just because you want it to.
Thank you for sharing your story and good health for your future.
This is from the 10K.
"Net Loss
We incurred a net loss of $70,513,417 since January 27, 2005 (date of inception) to December 31, 2011. Our net loss increased, from $8,153,680 for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2010 to $8,339,044 for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011, an increase of $185,364. For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011, our net loss per share was $0.05, compared to a net loss per share of $0.13 per share for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2010."
You make a lot of sense as the issue is not whether cannibus has real benefits but whether CBIS is in a position to exploit those benefits. This would involve an actual business plan that is occurring within a reasonable timeline. You are correct in pointing out that any topical medicament that cures cancer in humans would be a real breakthrough and unstopable. Certainly should at least be worth a paper in Science or Nature. So $70 million loss since 2005? Where has the money gone?
Excuse me. The 10K said a $ 70 million loss since 2005. Well that is much better. Still you didn't answer the question. What is there to show for all that money?
The 10K says it all. S70 million in debt and $5000 in hard assets. Where did all that money go? Well about $ 60 million in professional and administrative fees. What do you think that means?
And so far it has bounced off that level. Go CBIS!
Perhaps they have gotten the message that their PRs should substantive rather than maybe's.
In case anyone didn't notice we are testing .08 now.
Indeed, I would like to know also. A lot of things are claimed on this site that deserve scrutiny. Many on this site also have broken "crystal balls" considering most of their predictions do not come true.
If you start pulling off trades like that I will subscribe to your newsletter.
Sure, next people on this site are going to tell us twitter is the electronic equivalent of Business Week!
People make comments like this often on this board. What makes you think it has bottomed? The PPS has been moving lower steadily since the 10K and there is no indication investor selling will abate. Hopes, dreams, "IMHO" etc. do not move stock prices, buyers do! When this company does something to attract new money only then will the PPS move in a positive direction.
I agree with you but at the moment I am very wary of this "company". After reading the 10K it does not seem that they have very much after the amount of investment that has gone into this.
Yes that is good for the people who buy at .035-.05 but realize that for the price to rise above that others must buy at higher and higher asking prices. In a stock like this unless some dramatic event occurs it is like leading lambs to the slaughter!
Be glad they did not for yourself. If everyone stampeded to the exits at once the price may have collapsed in one or two days.
Why wouldn't people want the lowest price?
Its only worth what the market will place it at. I have been saying all along that this stock needs more than hope, dreams, and hype to increase in value. Until the company can convince more investors that it is for real no new money will come in.
Which means you are not getting any big bargain if you buy at the lower price and investors who held pre-dilution shares lost value to the post dilution share increase. Of course this assumes the company was actually worth $ 40 million pre-dilution.
The problem with this stock right now is that there is a problem attracting new money. The faithful on this site who are holding shares and perhaps adding incrementally to their positions are preventing the stock from falling, but...
To get the stock to move with any vigor in a positive direction new money must be attracted and their is little to give any new investor incentive to do this.
You are probably right, but it will take a while for the memory of that 10K to fade and new hype in the form of PRs and such to take its place. It would be nice to get an announcement about the 50% interest facility and see what kind of reaction we get.
All things being equal what would you expect from that pattern?
I read the PR again and there is no information on that. They do claim detailed information to come in a few days. I will be interested to see what they have to say.
Agreed. Instead of posting nonsense and turning of new investors, posters ought to be trying to make a "real" case for investing in this stock. After all the only way for the company to survive and for all of the believers in this treatment to make money is to have new people come on board with new money.
Sorry to chime in after I said I would not post again but...
In the cancer world five year survival rates and lack of recurrence or appearance in another part of the body are key, especially with an agressive killer like squamous cell carcinoma.
Has anyone ever questioned whether a pre-treatment biopsy confirmed they are treating squamous cell? This is important because if they are actually treating basal cell carcinoma that is a different story.
I wish you were right, but no. Squamous cell carcinoma is a very deadly cancer that causes local destruction of healthy tissue and metastasizes to distant sites in the body and causes more destruction there. Tell me once and for all how you think a topical medicament can "cure" this. Better yet tell the others, this is my last post in this ridiculous circus.
I would comment but this mess is too sad for words.
They have just over $5000, 2 full time employees, and a whole lot of PR. Looks like a real winner to me.
I think Raggoz and Green12 are the same guy or work in the same place.
This guy sounds like a "boiler room broker" trying to hype the stock up. Wait for real news not blather.
Sorry to say I agree with you and would certainly not bet the ranch or even the barn on this one.
Good to hear from you Ossie. If I find out anything interesting I will let you know. I could not access the website from work as it was blocked, probably because of the word Cannabis. I will check it out at home tonight though and try to make sense out of it. Unfortunately, however, these penny stocks are of their nature a leap of faith as you must accept that you are being told the truth. Understand I am not making a definitive judgement one way or the other right now, but I know how pharmaceuticals come to market and what it takes to prove efficacy for a new drug. What you have here is definately a dream story that would be wonderful if true. Good luck!
Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I will research it further and post again in the future. I love a great story as much as the next guy but this does not seem quite right. Cancer researchers all over the country would be jumping on this if it had legs because they would want to be the first to report "the cure" and write a news breaking paper in any of the peer reviewed journals. I wish you all luck with your investments and hope you don't get burned on this one.
Excuse me, but physicians do care about the health of their patients and anything that would cure squamous cell carcinoma, a very serious and life threatening cancer, would be very interesting to them.
That's my concern buying into this. Its a great story and I see a lot of hope and dreams but very little substantive information. As I posted before it does not make sense that a topical treatment would work at all for an agressive, locally destructive, and metastasizing neoplasm like squamous cell carcinoma. Just google the disease and know what you are dealing with!
I'm new to this treatment, but understand that squamous cell carcinoma is a very agressive malignancy that metastasizes quickly. How does a topical treatment of any medication address this?
I am new to this story. In the corporate overview section what does GW refer to?
