Well folks, I struck out with the Spokane money. No interest at this time. Probably would have helped if there had been an ounce of gold brought out. pp
Thanks TJ, I'm still trying to get some information from another source. Doesn't sound good!! pp
WOW, Nowhere to go with that story. SDRC was an INVESTMENT. All INVESTMENTS have an element of RISK. Very sorry for the loss of your friend. Not all people should invest in RISKY ventures like a gold mine in the middle of Idaho. I did, so did many others, all of whom assumed a certain RISK. Evidently your friend should have risked a lesser amount or none at all. Perhaps Bill Brown was not the man to take SDRC to where he wanted it to go. In talking to him face to face and many times by phone, I would not have guessed that. We can all make mistakes, but at NO TIME would I say any person deserves what Bill and his family are going through. That is just my opinion, based on many facts known to me, I will stick with it, yet still try to make "Lemonade" out of what all of us have in front of us. Best of luck to you, and again, very sorry for the loss of your friend. PP
Wow !!! Thats a new low, even for you !!
Did I mention that those miles were "Run" while driving a couple Macks, two Freightliners and one Kenworth???
Chhheeeeeee, What was I thinking, One of the few common sense posts and I didn't even reply. Good anology about the situation and I hope that the rest of us use the same rationale in suggesting ideas that might work or at least help in some way. I especially liked the part about "Not yelling at each other" unless of course there is an underlying bit of humor!! Good one mmaker24!!! pp (sorry I was late on this one)
Wesley, Glad you are getting all of the bugs out prior to heading out to the mine. "Bugs be bad on de rode" As for Hecla, they have been around a long, long time. Their reputation is good and they might be able to do something good for all of us, and also them. I will stay on what knowledge I have of the Spokane group and see if I can pry someone loose from the mindset that no investments are good in this economy. Lets just do what we can and see if some of it may pay off!!! Later, PP
Your right!! I don't know why that seems so far now. A few years ago, I was running 10 to 12 thousand miles a month. I did that for over two million miles, but anymore, thats just not my cup of tea. I guess I got tired, and then RE-tired.
Just got off the phone with someone from the company that was involved in the original funding of SDRC. Although they got sideways with them early on and pulled out, I have asked them to check with their money people to see if there would be any interest in getting involved again, given the present circumstances. They had not heard about Bill, so maybe they might know someone with some interest again. I am trying to think of anything I can do to help us get out of this situation!! Later - -
OUCH !!!
TJ, Approx how far away from Boise are you? I'm about 600 mi. one way. Just wondering in case something can be done down there. Paul
Next time I'll use REEEEEY big letters. Then maybe you might understand what I meant.
"And then he goes and "gets a Sig ni cant" brain injury" Hmmm, I wonder where "HE" went to get it?? Walmart? Home Depot? Rite Aid? Probably found a sale on one!! For crying out loud PYW, give it a rest already!!! I've gone back over many posts since I started paying attention and WOW, I have never encountered so much negativity from one person!! I guess if it makes you feel better about yourself, keep it up, otherwise consider doing something more constructive. SDRC needs all of us!!
I realize all of those things that you mentioned. I just do not now, nor have I ever believed that pouring on more poop helps clean up the pile, but thanks much for the input.
AAAAHHAAAAAA, Another positive post!!! So, I guess I'll leave my gazillions where they are, invested in SDRC, and for some reason or another?? I am sure we all stand a better chance here than in the LOTTO. I feel great about all the activity and research that some members are doing that will ultimately benefit us all. I am still trying to contact Bill, but no luck. I am sure it will pay off in the long run, (what am I saying, its already been a VERY LONG RUN)!! Oh well, GO SDRC !!!!!
I was going to post, but I was too busy trying to figure out how to spend the $640,000,000 that I DIDN'T WIN. ???????
Wedley, HooYah!! Sounds good! We all want the best outcome in this situation. We all want the same ending for our various degrees of investments. I have probably been invested as long or longer than most, perhaps not as many dollars (or maybe more) than the rest of you. Doesn't matter. A dollar risked is a dollar!! Doesn't matter who invested it. A reasonable return is all any of us expected. I feel really bad about Bill. I haven't heard anything except the call about the initial fall and hospitalization. I have met him personally, knew him through his heavy hauling trucking. I did "size & weight" flatbed hauling for years. He was in North Idaho, and I was in Spokane. Finally met him through a mutual friend in the investment business. Of course none of usexpected to be at this point, and I don't believe that Bill EVER expected this either. I sincerely wish Bill the very best, and a full recovery. But at the same time, those of us who made this venture possible with our investment of our hard earned money must surely do whatever necessary to ensure this has a positive outcome. Anything anyone can do to further our mutual goals has my full support!! Thanks to all, and anything I can do, all you have to do is ask. Sincerely, Paul
Trapper Jim and Wedley 55, I hope everyone appreciates your, and others efforts in the information situation. I know I do. I have been known to try to inject a little humor into these posts occasionally, but in the end I know that all of us want the same results. I hope that no one takes my jabs too serious. I have also been trying to contact Bill or others in the company, but so far no answer to my phone calls or internet efforts. Will let you know if I find out anything. Best of luck to all!!! Paul
RIGHT ON!!!!!! THATS BETTER!!!!! GO SDRC !!!!!!
LOVE THEM THERE POSITIVE VIBES!!! "YEP, THE EARTH IS FLAT, GOLD IS BEIN MINED EVERWHERE BUT SDRC. enybody seen my pity towel?? cuz i'm tryin to find the nearest pityparty!! sun ain't cumin up eny time sooon, lesen they b minen up there." NOW THAT IS WHAT A POSITIVE POST OUGHT NOT TO LOOK LIKE! Maybe the reason for so few posts is that some people would rather wait a little longer,(given the circumstances) for those who are at the helm (other than Bill) to let all of us investors know something positive when they are able. Just a thought.
Wedley55, Don't be wearing yourselves out at the mine so that you are unable to drink an adult beverage without spilling. We up here in the "Great Pacific Northwest" frown upon spilt "Martinis" and other important "Health" related drinks!! P&J
TJ, What I want to know is how you keep your "Eye on the ball", "Shoulder to the wheel", Ear to the ground" and still keep up with everything SDRC with informative posts, and I have never seen you drop your Pipe!!!!
Wow, what a refreshing group of posts!!! 5 out of 5 positive!!!! This is truely a good sign for this year. Keep it up fellow investors!!! GO SDRC !!!
I give up!! Can't splain it if you didn't read AND understand it!
We have had our 2 inches of snow, 17 inches of rain, so now we are sweltering in 42 degree sunshine. In other words, "we be reddy man" So COME ON DOWN!!!
I COULD CARE LESS ?????? DOES ANYONE EVER CHECK WHAT "I COULD CARE LESS", MEANS??? "YOU DON'T CARE MUCH ABOUT THE SUBJECT ABOUT WHICH WE ARE TALKING"!!! JEEPERS CRIPES!!! IF YOU COULD "CARE LESS" WHY ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT IT??? "I COULDN'T CARE LESS" HAS A WHOLE DIFFERENT MEANING!!! LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD "WIKIPEDEA. I'LL TRY TO HELP YOU OUT!! I MAY NOT GET THE SPELLING RIGHT, BUT AT LEAST PEOPLE KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!!! GET A LIFE!!!!
HHHMMMMMMM, I GUESS I'LL PULL MY 10 CENTS OUT OF YUGO AND KEEP IT IN SDRC!! SEEMS LIKE A BIT OF COMMON SENSE HAS CREPT INTO THE POSTS!!
INVESTSMENTS USUALLY BRING OUT THE BEST IN EVERYBODY!! NOTHING LIKE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, I ALWAYS SAY. LOL NO, I DON'T ALWAYS SAY THAT!! SOMETIMES I SAY DAMN, IF ONLY I'D PUT MY 10 CENTS INTO YUGO, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I HEAR STUDEBAKER AND TUCKER MIGHT BE COMING BACK. (IF YOU'R REEEELY OLD, YOU WILL REMEMBER "TUCKER") ALL WE CAN DO GUYS IS KEEP A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE ON THE CEO, AS YOU HAVE BEEN, AN EAR ON THE GROUND, EYE ON THE BALL, AND ALL THAT OTHER GOOD ADVICE YOU HEAR FROM THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE A DOG IN THE RACE, AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! I WISH ALL OF US A GREAT 2012, EVEN IF IT DOES SEEM A BIT OF A STRETCH RIGHT NOW!!! GO SDRC!!! (don't you get tired of hearing that???)
AAAHHHHHH, I was hoping I will come out OK !!! I appreciate the advice. Don't know why I missed that angle. GO BB & SDRC !!!
If I bought my shares at .10 and sell them at .003, Will Obama send me a check for the difference???
Hey DJ, Have you ever entered the coordinates of the Lucky Ben mine into Google Earth?? Looks like the road gets to the mine, but its not quite I-90 or I-15 quality.(45.24.423 N, 115.71.862 W. Gives you some idea of the terrain there.
Wow, Sure glad we got that cleared up. Thanks to Netcool, I now understand everything about Cornsilk too!! I'm thinkin about buyin a pipe.

TJ - - I have enlarged your pic on your profile and I am just not sure - - - Is that cannibus in that pipe????
Wedley, Let me know if Bill has "Full Hookups" at the mine. If he doesn't have water and sewer yet, I'm not coming! If you and your number one squeeze are looking for somewhere else to go, we are 5 miles south of Canada and 5 miles west of I-5. and yes, we do have a "Full Hookup" for friends with RVs. While here you will have to put up with a great view of the Bay, Mount Baker, Eagles, and unsolicited cocktails at wierd hours. Also, we have more than one color of wine. I've heard that is important!! This also goes for others wanting to find something to think about besides pennys, gold, silver and other stuff unrelated to a happy life!!
I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!
HEY DJ, Meet me at the mine and we might just have to "Clock In" to start collecting back wages and BOO KOO overtime!! Whacha think??
HEY DJ! I'll meet you at the mine and maybe all we have to do is clock in!! I think I have lots of overtime comeing. I feel like one of 10 or 19.
I certainly appreciate the comments and the advice!! Thanks a lot. We have long since given up on worrying about things which we have no, or very little control over. We laugh a lot, make fun of each other, and others. We don't have a lot of money, but have many, many friends. I wouldn't trade for anything! I really enjoy reading the posts and hope I haven't offended anyone. Keep up the good work everyone, but don't forget to have fun along the way! GO SDRC !!!!
