GPVI and NSDM
Another thing to consider just after they started trading-
not much information- what are the shares outstanding- authorized and float?
Remember that NSDM ran to .20: investors did not know the shares outstanding and thought that it was around 26 or 40 million. Only after the decline was it known to have 620 million. Therefore the value of the company was over $130 million at that time (we just did not know it)..
So GPVI might be running a similar look to early NSDM IMO and as Sortagreen shows, it still is not actually valued greater than NSDM.
My question is how can Prince post- PR ince?
What "True Insight" can you have in a non-reporting company -
You do not really know anything about them - so you back off!
If you do, then you would either have inside info, work for them or both.. so I am free to express my opinion.. I also do not have to listen to you either. Again, all I have stated is that we do not know and there are possibilities- Disclosure will provide info- you discount that.
You state that you are an expert- how would any of us know? I don't know you - no one does. or vice versa. As Sorta stated, at least I have advised everyone on my board and my credentials. Where are yours? What expertise do you have? Where is your PHD from MIT telling me that you know this industry? What companies have you worked with or for? Where are the news articles to prove your experience/value/expertise?
Care to see mine- go look- I have posted URL links on this board. I am not saying that I am an expert. I wanted added value dialogue. Yes I get distracted- because I think that you are a fraud! My opinion. Yes I can express it. I will continue to think that way until you prove otherwise- hey maybe with facts and evidence as stated above.. I have provided this- who else has? People say something and we are suppose to believe it? Please! An expert? Prove it. A2Gems says he is a GG. I believe him; he has not proven it, but I see know value in challenging him- I do with you. Again my opinion. Then even if you do prove evidence of being an expert- I can still challenge that. Ever seen a court case where you have experts yet they have different opinions - sometimes vs. common sense. What about the "expert" Dr. Henry Lee in the OJ Case- Do I challenge his credentials- No! Do I believe in his argument for the defense- NO! He was paid to be their expert- get it?
Diamond Princess-
Thanks for the compliment- I respect Sorta's intellectual wit and input. "sortagreen!!? You are alot like eibbanker."
Deann- Don't bother sending private messages to censor stating to keep it to the facts and not get personal! Sometimes you have to get personal to disclose the facts! The facts that some people do not know what they are talking about and that they are either Pumpers or Bashers.. I make my feelings known when I think either is the case. I can not be impartial as I own shares.. No one can. However, I do not make it my effort to get personal and insult yet that may happen in a heated discussion. Hell, I grew up with 3 other siblings and we use to insult/roast each other every night at the dinner table and I got pretty good at winning those discussions. If I actually got personal and at that level, it would be noticed- trust me, not doing that. Still Sorta does have a major point that if you want investors to find this board and have a comfort level to invest (after Due Dill), you do not want them coming here and witnessing obvious pumping because the first question would be why do people have to do this? Red Flag and put purchase on Hold- that does not help stimulate the pps!
Also, I believe that to move the price, we do need to both come forth with the financial information based on structure, opportunity, ownership, funding, share position/capital structure, internal pricing arrangements, authorized shares, etc. Like Sorta eluded to: What if the company has 620 mill shares outstanding and we all hope that the company can drive market cap to a strong figure to one day get market cap above that and pps over $1. Well, it will never get over $1 if we find out that the Share authorized in the financials disclose 20 billion (and they intend on releasing them).. that is what happenned to IDNW/GLBT - it had gone from .01 to .25 - then that info came out (wow it had to because they were fully reporting) and the pps is now .05 and dropping!
If people do not get that then, why are they investing?
Chisox- I am an optimist.
I expect a good return on my initial investment here and I expect "breaking news" that will dirve the stock sometime ( I had hoped that it would already have happenned by now)- read my last post on my investment philosophy.
However, I temper my optimism with a logical edge of risk management. The same breaking info that could tell me to get those additional 1mm shares now could also be the opposite that tells me to get out and save whatever is left ..
I am optimistic- but I have common sense. If I wasn't optimistic, I wouldn't waste my time here looking for that slight hint that will indicate the impending "breaking news"
Diamond Princess- Isn't that a contradiction?
You bought and expect to wait for 2-3 years yet you hope for a great PR this week? Why would you care?
This is what I am getting at. BS.........
My trading philosophy here. Want to make money. Prefer to make big money and Long. Watch it go from current price to say over $1 min to who knows. - When it moves on solid news (say financials, JV etc) then invest heavily to get immediate solid gain.. Sell a portion to cover initial investments plus healthy profit.. then, hold with long portion.
I actually understand the other investors who ride the pony up and down making money- I am not doing that. I understand Longs who want to turn a sub .10 pps into a huge long term gain- add to retirment fund etc..
I do not understand the view of "oh, just lost $40k of my 600k share investment- that is ok- I am long- That is just full of crap BS
Chisox- No posts during Xmas holidays- wow that seems weird!
During the Feb growth period- 2 reasons:
1) I was busy.. both personal and professional levels
2) I don't make vague comments to "pump" the stock- my understanding was that the stock was rising in general anticipation for the AGM on Feb12th with potential solid news and the release of financials- when that did not happen- I could see the trend for deterioration after the PR and doing a rudimentary competitive industry analysis to value the company recognizing that .10 wasn't there without that info which is why I saw it dropping back to .07 (my guess).
The frequency of my posts have increased as I see the deterioration of posts due to blind pumping (or bashing) and I have just attempted to stand up and either ask questions or tell people to stop spreading the BS- facts are there for people to see (by the way, it is good to note that people check things out like my frequency and timing of posts- that is what I have meant). Also, if you have to ask, I value posts with facts first (to date- I haven't seen too many- just bs claiming to be facts). I have asked questions to those who do communicate with the company to find out what is going on and hopefully stimulate them to respond in a PR (so it is public info) regarding the financials and OTC BB as I believe that is what will drive the price if it is solid news - and not the "Find Diamonds, Make Money" as we found Diamonds in the Ukraine- 160 some odd I think it was.. and that mean squat to the price.. so all of the techn mining stuff will not drive the price in my opinion for months- the financials and OTC BB being positive and saying yeah we go to OTC BB in March would make this baby move. IMO
I read PRs from all my holdings and prospects on a daily basis.. I was asking how people knew that a PR was forthcoming (not directly specifically to you) and your response was to phone them- And ask what? So you have a PR coming on Tuesday- is it a good one- what is it about? I don't phone or contact IR of firms because I usually can deduce info from the public information (financials, PRs, industry info etc).. I have actually never telephoned the IR dept of any stock that I have bought- ever!
Again, It comes down to the question- How do people know about PRs in advance (and sometimes the content).. people like A2Gems and old Tsmack - DevonAndrews etc? And Why?
thanks but I couldn't resist the sandbox allegory.
Maybe it is me but I don't get it?
There are suppose to be 6,000 shareholders. Are you suggesting that they have the capacity to receive phone calls asking if there is to be a PR (without knowing the content) from that many people on a regular basis? What about the other companies that I have investments in? Also, I worked in Central Mgmt of a major Investment Bank - only 12 offices on that floor- CEO, COO, CIO, CFO etc.- plus myself and Press office. I don't seem to recall them actually receiving calls from shareholders- The hundreds of thousands?????? Yes there was an Investor Relations Dept but not to the extent of people calling just to bug them.
When I first investing and posting here, I made the suggestion of centralizing the most pertinent questions from shareholders and having only say the top 5 prioritized questions sent to NSDM - one to get straight answers and two, to minimize their administration costs.
I sent the below on Oct 22nd- based on questions from this board.. and to date, I never ever received a response from them.. (I have personally never phoned).. No feedback ever from this so what makes me expect them to handle calls from 6k people?
------------------------------------------
I am an investor with a few million shares of your company. Although you trade on the Pink Sheets, there are a few questions that some investors have formulated while talking on an investors bulletin board. We recognise that it is difficult to reply to numerous information requests and therefore, we have attempted to summarize the key questions and to request if you could attempt to answer where possible (and as soon as possible). I am interested in purchasing further shares at this current price but would like to gain a greater understanding of the current status. Is it possible if I could receive even a brief reply today as I had sent information requests also 3 days ago without a response and your website indicates approx. 24 hrs? Here are the questions already sent:
1) Supposedly from sources on IHUB, new diamonds have been found- please confirm and quantify- equate that in terms of value potential and from how many sources- ie. 1 potential pipe or more (how many pipes have found new or existing diamonds for potential on bulk sample)?
2) Financial Information Questions: Current Book value of company- that should be available - ie. Value of land holdings, investments, cash etc- total equity breakdown… understood that this is unaudited but best estimate. (so we can value by market to book ratio). Estimated revenue potential and future cash flow. Current cost and budget for revenues and costs over next 3-5 years (to calculate potential EPS). I know this is difficult but they must have min, max and mean scenarios for cost budget vs. current cash and equity positions. - Also time frames (ie. By quarter when new revenue or cost will be introduced). Do you have an interim summary statement for any financial results (pro-forma, quarterly, etc and if not, when will the books be closed and produced for public filing?- What will be the year end?
3) What is the current status and timeframe in the process of moving to the OTC and when they expect that process to end?
4) The float question (what are the outstanding-restricted shares) is another important one. Then, compare their numbers to the transfer agents to get 3rd party verification. I know the TA has given different numbers in the past, we need to know if NSDM is using a different definition of float and restricted or if the TA has out of date information. Breakdown of total shares outstanding and total shares outstanding history vs. price for the past 6 months. - Also, is there any intention of introducing new shares or reverse split?
5) We have been expecting drill test results as at Oct 22-29 -Are we on track? And will the test results be verified by some entity whose credentials we can verify?
Again- how do people know that there is a PR on Tuesday?
Sandbox?
If that is the case, maybe the cat could bury some of the stuff in here?
I can not tell- that is my point on why I need to see the financials..
the longer it takes- the worse it looks to potential and current investors.
I am off with the family for the rest of the day now
Diamond- your second paragraph seems to apply to private companies filing with the SEC once > 500 shareholders..
NSDM is public- called pinksheets. There are numerous OTC BB stocks that file to SEC and the costs are in the thousands, not millions. That is what some of the public funds from the float should be utilised in operating expenses- it is called foresight.. They should have used the funds for anticipation of conversion as it seems to always have been a desired goal.
NSDM could always pay their counsel to perform these duties.. Hey.. Black Sea Minerals has filed (Nov 2003)- Walter's other company so as a shareholder of NSDM my question would be: Where do I want him investing the time, resources, funds etc? There or NSDM?
Prince-
I have to say, that I respect your posts.. You may be slightly more positive lately than I have been but I believe that I have good reasons lately. You have tempered responses and I enjoy your posts. Also, whilest positive, you are not borderline pumping unlike many others who are so defensive- that is what makes normal investors question their true motives.
I am sure that I speak for most of us, that we do not question yours.. Thanks for being an upstanding gentleman and living up to your handle.
Everyone- think of it this way-
Longs want this to be like ABER etc.. Well, if you piss off analysts and don't deliver- you could hit the value of the stock by what 10-40%..
If this was like ABER- would you want the company to lose $200million to over half a billion dollars off the market cap in say one month due to broken promises and not delivering..
that is what happens when things like that are not delivered.. Now does everyone still wonder why investors are not flocking here and the price seems to find a home between .05-.06
there is your answer.
Again- according to Walter! 2 posts prior to this, you say that the company never stated AGM on Feb 12th and only by members of IHUB talking to Walter- just like your post now..
1 month and it is not early 2004! Financials filing will not take up Walter's time at all- that will be for NSDM's accountants and Lawyers- so dont go with that one..
Financials- Early 2004????
In my book, early means Q1 (i.e. before March 31st 2004). Mid would be Q2, Q3 and Late is Q4..
so are we being mislead here? - From an analyst's position, quoting something and then not delivering will kill the stock- it already happenned with Ukraine- 2 months late..
what - now financials?
Too much BS..
Read the link to the CEO interview Jan 2004 above..
His exact quote:
Plans are to become fully reporting in early 2004 and apply for OTC:BB listing.
That made all of us believe the Feb 12th AGM, financials filed and application for OTC BB..
I wish people would stop attempting to cover up their tracks when things are documented/published and can be readily found..
yes.. people on this board mislead others (myself included) to believe that financials would be available by now.. When challenged, they back off when the evidence is clear.. just read over the historical posts- the Dan Heilman one was an example of one of many- you know who you are and any of us can figure it out with 5-10 mins of quick scanning info..
Too much BS and lies by too many here!
EOM
I know - no word such as argumenting... early- no coffee yet and the kids got me up way too early today
Read Post 6636...
Dan Heilman's quote:
"Yes, and we will know Feb 12th when they approve the audit at the Annual Stockholders Meeting!!! Until the auditor tells them for sure, they don't know either!!!"
Where did that come from otherwise.. And it was pumped along by many.. Patience.. etc.. wait until Feb 12th.
Sortagreen is only remembering/argumenting posts from prior promises - he is not making it up.. it is true.. people get caught in their posts..
It is all about ownership not just value... The internet and the world wide web are one of the biggest and most valuable inventions in the last 40 years..
The ones who invented it do not own it and did not make the value that could have been made..
Financials will disclose what NSDM owns or does not and how much value they have the potential of generating...
Dr... I have invested in stocks without financials including this one.. My point is that they are now past due based on promises in PR and on these boards.. They will now disclose info based on this stage of the investment process so in my opinion- they are everything going forward..
I think investors see it this way too, hence, the rapid decline back from the .10 eclipse. Some of that upward trend had to be anticipation on news and also financials..
Bearing in mind of course, a PR about a Joint venture, etc would move this irrespective of release of financials but a PR like that would disclose some value regarding investment, opportunity etc.
Appreciate your comments but disagree with them.
My statement about the financials were not to just to indicate numbers- Numbers would be a major point if there were "showstoppers" or "Unexpected extremely +ve figures". They would provide shareholders with:
1) an understanding of the structure or inter-relationships between multiple entitites: in my old Corporate LendingCredit Risk days, I had to analyze maybe 10-20 credit applications per day involving multiple financials and sometimes a company may look weak or strong then be totally opposite when in conjunction with the consolidated financials of the entire inter-related company group- So I see it as a key.
2) It also indicates the mindset of the management on how they intend and have historically conducted business and how they wish to associate/structure the company.
Your welcome on the UGHO advice.. still looking for others in the sub say 20 million outstanding shares within defense or telecom industries with quick growth potential.
I was attempting to show 2 things:
Ownership structure/equity on the bal. sheet.
and 2) ability to generate income: that in the form of either a) profitable operation opporuntity- (like the Oil Sands in Alberta- worth $billions but costs more to extract than sell.) and/or how NSDM recognizes its value from the whole deal- ie. intercompany activities etc.
dr.- The Financials are everything.
No matter if you find diamonds, you need to make money to make money so to speak.
Look at companies like Kaiser Aluminum. They did $1.6 Billion in Revenue in the year yet are only .11 pps (avg 200 day pps is .07) - and market cap of only $8.8 million- why? does this make sense? Yes. The financials.. Net income in 2002 and 2001 recorded losses of over $400 million each year (even with revenue recorded of over $4 billion in those prior 2 years).
Retained earnings and Total Equity are over negative $1 Billion.
So for NSDM, financials do mean everything. Also, the balance sheet will show ownership value (and structure). The Income statement and any comments will show related company activites (which is where income must come from if rights are in Walter's name).. so sorry, they mean everything. Never say that don't get too wrapped up in the financials or that they wont show the true value.. just the opposite.
I have to agree with Sorta....
People are full of it.. Happy to lose tens of thousands of dollars.
Others always finding a great buying opportunity- good it is low to get more.. The only way that works is if you sold high?
Otherwise why didn't you buy with all the money you had when it was sub .04 one month ago? No logic there.. Unless, you are buying another $1k worth each paycheque?
As Fleetwood Mac would say- Tell me Lies, Tell me sweet little lies..
Lets see what comes back about the financials- that is the best discussion to have on this board if and when they arrive or news about that.
Again.. this is just conjecture.. people say that they talk to the CEO all of the time.. you give your opinion (bashing at that).. As the saying goes "In God WE TRUST, All the rest pay cash".. I dont trust anyone here.. I do enjoy the dialogue and some information that assists in any due dill or tips that I can use but that is that..
To add one more thing....
That is why I did not buy or sell in this last run up to almost .10
Dont have the info.. Originally, I was planning a big purchase of over 1 million shares when I saw a run up over .02-.03 but based on what I have said, I only have indecision...
That is my concern, that any new investor will have the same.
That would really be appreciated as it is a concern. As long as it remains non-reporting, people do not know the position nor have the ability to perform sound valuations or estimations.
Also, it leave the window open for people like Firebird on RB who continues to always quote things like "What due dilligence.. this is non reporting etc..).
Again, it is appreciated. As I said though, that will still just be info I get off of a message board and not the actual filing. I took that already when I believed there was going to be a filing by beginning of Feb for OTC BB and that was backed up by a General Meeting Feb 12th.. now that does not exist.. So I will digest your answers/info but stil await the real deal.
I did the research today on Black Sea minerals. I was doing some follow up research after reading posts on RB about NSDM not having the rights in their name. It only got me thinking today about how they will then receive income. At that point I looked at the the relationships of the other companies that Walter is involved in and at that point looked at the filing. The filing for Black Sea minerals was never made until Oct 31 2003.. So my initial investments showed no financial filed. Nor was I aware about the ownership in his name. When it was explained about being in Walter's name it made sense from a personal share and consulting arrangement. However, this info today made me ask why they are delaying and not discussing the financials- I waited since Nov for them as we were anticipating filing and OTC BB for Feb 12th. Now no info.
Why do I have shares.. Well I sold some- still have the ones that I bought for .11 pps. I am still at negative a few thousand dollars and want to recover. Also, if value, then, I wanted to acquire more and remain long. Like any investment, it has to continually make sense and I wont blindly keep the same beliefs if new information (or lack there of .. if no filing).. triggers new ideas and further questions. I would like answers asap. From my experience with transfer pricing and related party financing, I believe that this is the key to the firm if the structure is really based this way. This is what is coming out in message boards. I have no way of knowing without seeing the financials- get it. I can't trust anyone other than my own sense and experience (and the SEC for reporting the info)..
The real true question at this point-
OTC BB filing based on Financials. You need to see the financials. The real question is how do you do a valuation on the rights. Since it is not in NSDM's ownership as title is under another name, the value to NSDM is zero- Therefore, how does this reflect on the financials? Obviously there can be revenue from selling services as well as expenses. I am interested to see related party activity. How is the balance sheet tied to related parties? How are transfer pricing issues and inter-company or related party receivables and payables set up? Those are the real key issues and only question.
That in a nutshell is the value of the company (both book value and potential DCF value to create market view of estimated market cap value). No PR will define this better. This was promised for Feb 12th. Still not here. This must become available and anyone talking with the firm needs to communicate that this timeframe must be in the the next PR otherwise it will continue to be viewed as a borderline risk; my only concern is that they are actually afraid to release the financials based on above. Dont forget Black Sea Minerals (Walter's Garnet company)filed financials and has no income to date since 1998.. They raised over $2 million in May 2002 for a supposed plant - yet not info on operations or constructtion/ production etc. EOM
Need the facts now- asap or no investor will remain.
Wikkid- The Leafs gave up Sullivan for nothing.. He was part of the Doug Gilmour trade to NJ. Hawks have Bob Pulford back (one more time out of retirement) to fix things..
Well with the trade deadline coming, I am interested to see some major deals still. I think that the Leafs get Gonchar. Robert Lang will get dealt- probably to the Flyers or Colorado (they seem to always win the trades at this time of year).. and there is the usual rent- a-player scenario.
Baseball- lets face it- Yankees and Boston in AL with Yankees winning. You have to like the Cubs with that pitching..
NFL- the the parity- who knows- it is always entertaining.
I disagree about Steinbrenner. The other NY team ( The Rangers) in the NHL have the biggest payroll by far and they can't make the top 8 in the division. It does make a difference on who you have to manage.
Give credit where it is due.. They are competitive every year.
That is why Canada has ROB- Report on Business Television
Part of the Globe and Mail Business and affiliated with CTV.
If there is any important business information in Canada, it gets covered on ROB. (TV or Magazine-News)
fyi- NSDM does not even come up in a search.. ie. Canadian company but not considered a player (only if it is on a CAD exchange or NYSE, NASDAQ and NASDAQ OTC BB- hence the need for financials and move to OTC BB)
Mtorian- of course we are- silence probably means that no one knows anything about it and we are all awaiting to find out too.
Many good stocks drop up to 20% in one day (usually it is an over-correction) from a strong growth or rally (say 200% in one to 2 days on an announcement and the settles back).
Hell, even NSDM dropped more than 20% just one month ago- Jan 6th and 7th so why didnt you get out then?
Not being critical here.. everyone has their own investment philosophy and should stick to it.. just disagree with this one.
Prince. Fully reporting is a key to understand the business.
With regards to the PR timing, as it is an exploration company, it would be difficult to determine when the appropriate time to release info plus, it would be even more difficult to determine his release of stock. If he has the ability to release say quarterly, then, the timing of any NSDM PR just happens to co-incide with these timeframes. Waksal dumped shares on his own accord based on timing of FDA results which he knew in advance. If Walter had a schedule to show sales into the market in advance of any PR, he just ensures that the valued PRs come out then and the other PRs (fluff etc) continue during the other periods- that way you can't make a case).. that almost sounds familiar..
Can I ask 2 questions for those who talk to Walter?
A2Gems etc?
Firstly, there was anticipation about the financials being ready this month and the conversion to the OTC BB. This is very important for stablizing any pps and pps growth with full disclosure and reporting. Can we get any indication on this time table?
Secondly, this may sound bad but it is a legitimate question. How I Walter paying himself? I am concerned that Press released and information is either delayed or timed to coincide with his ability to further release some of his own personal stocks in the market thereby getting the best return. If he owns 400 million shares and he releases 10-20 million per quarter he still could make $300k-$800k if the price is above the avg price of .05-.06 range. ie. the delay in release of Ukraine info and now the release in Feb of CAD info with price jacked up to .08/.09. The only reason why I ask this is that since the company remains Pink and not disclosing, we have no idea of insider sales etc so this is a legitimate question to ask.
Any thoughts?
I expect NSDM to close in the RED today.
Reasons are as follows:
The Ukraine news came out stating diamonds found (macro and micro) and that drove the price from .05 to .06.
That made the value of the find at $37million market cap. The price then retracted. The price has gone again from .05 up to .09 based on anticipation and this news. That increased the value of the company from $31 to $55 million.
Based on this stage, how do you value it in the teens based on comparisons to other more mature and fully disclosed companies: look at Tahera: They are worth $158 million and they have already set up their production based on full results and approvals. Tahera was only valued at $100 million 1 month ago waiting for Nunuvut Govt approval.
Based on this I think that NSDM will settle back in the .07 range then slowly progress up as solid info comes out. The low teens are a possiblity as further info comes out in the coming months but still based on the financials. IMO
