I`m sure there will be some set backs here and there , but ultimately they will have a better product. The technology is improving probably daily. As long as they keep using lithium i`m happy.
Hope this is not a set back on electric cars but may make them safer in the long run. http://www.raremetalblog.com/2011/12/gm-offers-to-buy-back-volts.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+typepad%2FIBmE+%28RareMetalBlog+%29

News out:PGI Energy Near Completion of Two Drilling Rigs Under Its $68 Million Contract With Its Subsidiary PGI Engineering & Manufacturing

Marketwire
PGI Energy, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PGIE) announces near completion of two drilling rigs under its $68 million contract with its subsidiary business PGI Engineering & Manufacturing formerly known as Structural Dynamics Engineering. PGI entered into an agreement to sell eight drilling rigs to PT Rebana Energi Corpindo for $68.6 million. We are near completion of the first 2 of 8 Sub-Structures and Mast for the Super Single Drilling Rigs order to PT Rebana Energi Corpindo. New photos of the rigs' construction will be posted via the company's social media sites to provide transparency to our shareholders. The buyer will be traveling to PGI Energy headquarters in Houston the first week of October to inspect the first two rigs, at which time they will pay the 45% down payment through a letter of credit for completion and delivery of the order. While we rely heavily upon contracts and documents entered into between us and our vendors, we are mindful that business interruptions occur that affect the performance of contracts which could ultimately cause terms of a contract to not be performed. We take every reasonable precaution in securing agreements that we believe will be performed as agreed. If upon inspection of the rigs the buyer decides not to move forward the rigs will be sold to other clients. The completion of these rigs will add significant shareholder value and strong revenues. PGI Engineering & Manufacturing has been negotiating with several potential drilling services companies to purchase more rigs. The company is positioning itself to take advantage of the current industry demand for new drilling rigs... we see this as a great opportunity to grow the business.

Reames #1 & #2 & #4 Producing, Pulling Reames #5
September 10, 2011 By admin
Reames #1 Well Completion:
Thursday, Sept 8
Rigged on well by 9am, pulled rods (pump stuck), pulled tubing (initiated blowout), sealed well.
Friday, Sept 9
On well 8am installed Blowout Preventer, installed packer and set, started acidation (500gal NEFE 15%, 100gal xylene) left 1 hr, swabbed out til 5pm (12 swabs), well maintained at least 2,500 ft of fluid each swab. Left well packed in over weekend. Will pull packer , trip tubing and rods and put online before noon on Monday.
OPERATIONS SUMMARY:
The Reames #1 well is the closest well to the current injection located at the Grace, Reames #2. So when we tested this well it was only producing 1-2 bbls of oil and a little bit of gas with not much fluid in the hole and not much pressure. So we pulled the Reames #1 first because we feel it could benefit the most with an acidation job. We found that the pump was stuck when it was pulled meaning during the tests it was not getting any actual pumping action to move fluid, which is a great sign that the well is still strong just equipment old and not functioning.
Then when we pulled the tubing and were close to the last double joint, we obviously jolted a large obstruction of paraffin that was blocking the well. And then the well came to us with strong force. So both of these are great signs that this well is going to have strong bottom hole pressure and be very active. Especially once the acidation removes the paraffin buildup that is in the bottom of the well.
The well actually built enough pressure to reach the surface with quite a bit of pressure. Our rig crew worked by Basic Energy had not seen a production well pressure up that fast before and did a great job of handling the expulsion. Our experienced pumper said he had never seen a well that was not a new well ever come to surface in the area. The well came to surface just for a few seconds before the blowout preventer stopped the well.
The next morning the well had built up over 1,500 psi of pressure, that we had to vent off before we could continue working on the well, and then while installing the packer the well came back to the surface again and blew some pressure out our relief valves and actually out the top of the derrick.
These are all great signs of the well being far better than our early predictions, and we are excited about having it online. We decided to wait to put the well on production pumping until Monday morning so that we could monitor it producing through our new separation system.
Update: Monday Sept 12
Tripped packer out and tubing & pump back in by noon. Well had 4,200 ft of fluid.
Currently online producing.
Produced 12 bbls/oil in first 5 hours, well producing overnight to start pulling from formation.
Update: Tuesday Sept 13
Reames #1 is pumping, still pumping some fluid that was used to control it, and also fluid in the casing. Testing the well at 5pm, received a very nice 20% oil cut, and also a lot of gas in the fluid. The well is still giving us a lot of pressure and is currently selling an enormous amount of gas. Picture below of the solar-cell meter selling gas.
