Clever Life falls in prices with the AFM
27-06-2012 • 26 comments
The AFM has two fines of € 30,000 imposed on Graffiti Entertainment Europe BV from the Gelderse Huissen and her actual managerial Mart van der Velde. The company has according to the supervisor in the period september 2009 to december last year been guilty of canvassing.
The company, then still operating under the name Clever Life, brokered at the time of the offence and in consumer credit, mortgages and damage-and life insurance. The company listed or by telephone and had approached consumer consumer credits and whether they were interested in lower monthly charges. From the working procedures and the customised calling script revealed that the Adviser of Clever Life then always went on home visit among consumers. In 5 cases examined during the visit was signed a credit agreement. This is a violation of the colportagewet, which should prevent consumers at a house visit possible unprepared on a purchase have to decide.
The AFM also Mart van der Velde, Union Cycliste Internationale fined since the end of 2006 the only driver and de facto leadership of Clever Life. According to the supervisor was Van der Velde at the height of the prohibited behaviors and he has failed to terminate them with measures.

It sounds like it is talking about some sort of illegal consumer credit practices in the Netherlands that Mart was accused of being involved.

I totally disagree about the sales. I think it does matter to a certain degree asking about whether the company is still selling product, because if there are indeed no current sales, then SDVI has even more problems than the ones for which we have all been waiting for answers to, for so long.
If the company isn't selling product, then we have a dead company on our hands. Knowing that product is still moving at least lets us know that the company body still has a pulse.
I don't know or have any idea where the initial revenues have gone, or where it is currently going. Only Mart & possibly Ken would know and haven't shared that information with the stockholders as of yet. Yes, the other information that we are all waiting for is very pertinent to the fact that we need as stockholders of SDVI and GRAFC. I for one would like answers to all the valid questions that many have asked on this board. I've been invested with SDVI since 2007 and have no choice but to wait it out like the rest of the longs on this board. We're all waiting and patience has run out long ago with this company's management tactics. I'm willing to wait it out a little longer but I'm growing hot under the collar.

Does it really matter? Do sales mean anything at this point? Do you have any idea where the money is going? Do you really believe that proceeds have been helping this stock (as they should have been)?
Because really, it's like distracting one's-self by drinking and playing tiddly-winks, while watching a mile-long meteor strike the earth.
Knowing about sales, at this point, is ancillary at best. Knowing *^&%&%^ is going on with the company in terms of the merger and fins, is far far more pertinent.
I vote to send a letter to the SEC.

Has anyone been checking RR current sales? I noticed that Amazon still has all the RRs for sale on their website. The price points have dipped with the exception of MAC versions. ToysRus shows out of stock on the software. Bionic, have you monitored any sales recently?

Have you checked Etrade? I have a Gobal account with Etrade which

While I was checking out several bits of information on Stealth, I saw somewhere a comment to the fact that they were very well funded, planned IPO, and they also have a couple of job openings.

"Our strategic plan is coming to fruition as we move aggressively into the European marketplace, including with a dedicated company and team. Our top goal is to increase exposure to our game titles and increase sales, and we are launching a new web site, www.graffitiplay.com, to serve as a European sales platform," said Signature Devices, Inc. CEO Mart van der Velde.
From this statement, one might assume that the new company has game developers on staff? I guess we will find out in a later PR.
I thought the last bit of info on Ken on LinkedIn, stating that he has left the "gaming industry" and has gone into "Human Resources" was sort of interesting. Did Mart take over the whole company and buy out Ken? Lots of questions to think about. I guess to quote Sherlock Holmes famous quote, "Patience, all shall be revealed" applies here.

I agree we should all mention SDVI & GRAFC in our posts to give us a better rating on the "buzz cloud". Make sure you use SDVI without any other characters either in front or on the back of the SDVI symbol, e.g. don't use $SDVI in the message as the scanning software will probably try to look up $SDVI and not SDVI, the dollar sign would most likely cause the program to skip over an exact match. Search software might not look for imbedded characters in a data string, so to be sure, just use SDVI. I work in the field of information technology and I know how some programmers would only be looking for exact character matches. Just sayin'......

I just checked my transaction history on my Scottrade account and it lists the same conversion from GRAFF to GRAFC. I called Scottrade and got sort of an explanation from them. It seems the GRAFF stock placeholder was listed as "Graffiti Entertainment Restricted" but it got changed on March 26th to "Graffiti Entertainment, Inc." and is still listed as restricted because it has no current value. The agent also noted that the reason listed for the change was "settlement issues".
So I guess things are happening under the covers, so to speak.
Very interesting as usual with SDVI and GRAFC. More mysteries to solve!

Last night as I started to fall asleep, I was thinking about the problems with SDVI and GRAFF concerning those who converted some or all of their shares to GRAFF and how the company would have to solve the problem for the shareholders. I then started thinking about what would be holding up the PR that would need lawyers to sign off before the announcement could be made public. In any case as I started to fall asleep I started dreaming and in my dream, I got an news alert in my Scottrade account stating, "Shareholders of Signature Devices and its subsidiary Grafitti Entertainment offered buyout at $ .20 per share by large electronic game maker for shareholders of record of ............ I immediately woke up and thought, was I dreaming or not? Then I said, you've been dreaming and it's only a dream............... or was it? LOL!! It just made me think that a buyout would certainly solve a lot of problems. Again, it was only a dream!!!!!

Based on previous discussions about the problems with Zecco, I don't know why any one would trade with them. I use Scottrade, Merrill-Lynch, and ETrade and have been able to buy, transfer between brokerage houses with no problem at all. I don't know why Zecco says that SDVI is Non DTC eligible when other brokerage houses have no problem with SDVI stock transactions.

I totally agree! If I were a new potential investor of SDVI, after reading the comments on this board over the last months, I wouldn't touch this stock with a ten foot pole. The comments are redundant most of the time. I really think we should pull back a little on the negativity. We all want the audits, the uplisting, more current information, GRAFF conversions, and just complaining about it constantly doesn't do any one any good. Take a break or report something of interest to the board. The information that we all want will come in time. If you have a problem waiting then you should change your holdings on this stock. And I don't enjoy reading negative comments from people who have zero holdings of this company. IMO

Well thought out and clearly stated Saredi! I was thinking about the "breach of contract" and "terminate myself and the entire staff" that RJ mentioned in an email to derek_rw20 post #46918 on May 6, 2011.
If there are legal problems with the arrangements that RJ and Ken were bound by regarding 7th Level and any stock that RJ might have been entitled to, then perhaps RJ et al are suing SDVI for breach of contact and unexpected or unwarranted termination of employment.
We are all in the dark as to the nature and depth of the current legal issues here. Any legal matters would affect the audit in the fact that companies must also provide in their audits, any and all unresolved litigation in process in the statement of condition.
Could this be the reason that the audits haven't been released yet? Is Ken hoping for a resolution to SDVI's legal matters before the release of the audits? Just thinking out loud about it. In any case, I truly hope things get resolved quickly so that we can all regain that confidence that we had earlier in the game.

I agree with you about the name. We need something that the younger generation will think is somewhat cool
and can identify with and remember easily. Social Systems Technology just sounds too technical and not related to our product line at all. I would also like to see Graffiti merged back into SDVI, convert back the GRAFF shares to SDVI.
I'm also glad that we're not in the movie business. As I have mentioned in a previous post, I've invested in the film industry
and gotten burnt on two different occasions. Let the company stay with what it knows and does best, GAMING!

You are confirming what I was saying. My post was in answer to Bionic about selling the games on eBay. My answer was that it would NOT be a good idea to sell them on eBay unless Graffiti already had set themselves up as an eBay store previous to the release of RR, and did not undercut retailers prices. That is why the 4 pack is at full retail on Graffiti's site as someone mentioned in an earlier post. Searching on eBay for Graffiti Reader Rabbit, There seems to be only one seller on eBay who has the games retailing for $24.40 plus $4.00 shipping.
Go SDVI

If Graffiti set it self up as a "store" on eBay previous to the RR release dates selling the older games, and as long as they do not undercut the retailers prices, then it's possible that it wouldn't get them upset. We of course do not know the contractual agreements with the distributors and retailers.
