I wasn't referring to you, Doc.
But, yeah, I'd say the pr re the lawsuit probably about did it.
Which I think may have been Bmg's intention. Why? the only thin g that makes any sense to me is they see some value in getting the tech. There's also the possibility that Clement somehow is involved, which would mean that he really was a wolf in sheeps clothing.
I'm here, kenny.
Did you need something?
I haven't seen where Amergence is pushing anything.
Unless you are implying that I am doing it on their behalf?
Please, please, please...
OK, you talked me into it. Pure speculation now... What if BMG wants the technology? Think about it, they probably know better than anyone what it's capable of. The tech WORKED! It makes no sense for them to sue us. What the heck could they expect to gain from a judgement? They darn sure don't want the co with all this baggage, but if they could somehow get the tech without the co??? For example, "Sell us the tech for a song, we'll drop the suit"? Course, I don't see any silver lining there for us shareholders, just trying to figure out what this move is all about.
Who knows?????????
Indeed. And if they controlled enough shares before the split, they still control enough after. What difference would the 30M make? It's irellevent.
Doc,
We did indeed get to vote on those items, but unless I am mistaken, mgmt. controlled enough shares even then, that it was a moot point.
Yes.
No, that is not a proper topic for this venue. You are "advertising". I make no claims about the validity of your complaint, only that it is not the topic of this board.
Concerning MediaMax....
(re-post from flydoc on AMNG)
From Ask Amergence:
Q: In 2003, I used part of my yearly bonus and bought $800 worth of Sunncomm shares, the first stock I ever bought. I´ve appreciated your Ask the Prez pages through the years even though I don´t understand much of what is going on. Currently I have 1310 shares of MMXT. With Amergence on the scene now, is MMXT over and done with, or are there plans to increase that stock, as well? (6/30/2007)
A: Thanks for writing.
Although the two companies are unrelated now, we, at Amergence, know that MediaMax is attempting to maximize shareholder value by adapting itself to accomodate a merger with or acquisiton of a company with high potential. They have a high degree of confidence they can achieve this goal within the next few months. The marketplace is swollen with potential candidates so I wouldn´t call the cmopany "over and done" just yet.
I seriously was not just being glib,
there simply is not much happening here. Since the parent co, Sunncomm, announced that they were concentrating efforts on Amergence, there doesn't seem to be any activity with the products that Mediamax is supposed to be marketing. Thus the plunge in the SP.
Very little.
We all have tickers.
But thanks anyway. If you want to talk to Peter, this is the wrong venue.
Let's stay on topic.
I realize that emotions are high right now. This RS is, in my opinion the worst in a series of bad news for this co., though I realize that it was probably unavoidable at this stage. Attacking one another for our various positions accomplishes nothing. The topic of this board is the stock, AMNG. TIA.
The new symbol, AMNG,
and shareprice, $4.00, is already in Ameritrade system. In fact, it shows 1500 shares traded???
That is the question.
So far the answer is being held top secret as far as I can tell.
That's what I did.
Wouldn't open before, got it now, thanks.
I can't get the Odeo website to open.
Anybody else have a problem with it?
Seems to me, the only aspect of it that's "dead"
is the copy protection, due to the labels being frightened off by the lawsuits.
That pretty much sums it up.
Good point, maybe we could get some clarification on that from admin????
Excellent point.
What you're suggesting is to take the decision away from admin/mods. There is no "destroying" of evidence. I can read every post ever deleted on any board I mod, as can admin.
I think the system works great, especially with the addition of the mod squad.
Understood. That means they can still be read,
which in many cases is all the offender was after to begin with.
A very bad idea, imo. No offense intended.
A big problem with that.
The posts are removed for violating the TOU. If you still allow them to be read, they get away with violating the TOU. This venue would deteriorate into another RB IMO.
You guys are on the wrong board.
This is mmxt, you are discussing amgg.
Ok, fixed as much of the info as I could find.
Anybody who has anything else, let me know.
Nevermind I found it.
Do you have some other info?
Done.
Hey sting,
Just got in. Got your message, but I see it's all taken care of.
You've probably got your bid too low.
Move it up some, you should get filled.
They look fairly equal to me, both for and against.
But that is totally irrelevant. The co appears to be going in a whole different direction. What you, I, or anyone else must decide is are we going too? Regardless of those decisions, the topic of this board remains SCMI, the stock, not any individual.
Personally, the jury is still out on my decision.
Corey, Sting did not remove your post.
The topic of this board is the stock, SCMI. Not other posters, their motives, or any thing else. Please direct any further questions to Ihub Admin. not here. Thank you.
See my previous answer.
I'm not interested in bantering with you. I told you what I know.
Believe it or not. Makes no difference to me.
Regards.
Gregg, you're right, it's no secret.
In fact, anyone can go back to my posts after I visited the co end of last year, when I talked about it. Point is, there had to be interest in order for the sample I have to have been made. How much? No way to tell. Nor will there be unless we sell something.
Foggy, I won't physically put you on ignore, because I help moderate, but consider yourself ignored in my thinking.
They are not only existent.
I have one. Would you like to see it?
Level of interest?
Probably not. My issue was with the categoric statement that there was no interest. I know otherwise.
I'm not "figuring".
The key to remember (ie. SP), is that interest is not the same as making the sale. Will the interest turn into sales? Yet to be seen.
You might want to get some better analysts.
They are ill-informed.
When I was there, none of the products they spoke with
me about involved DRM. I asked had we given up on it, and was told basically, for now.
They didn't mention Amergence when I was there.
