It should be noted and clarified here that the new Alberta project that FRMC will be involved in is NOT in the oil sands area of Alberta up in the north east/north central, as per the PR it is in the PECO area which is west central Alberta not far from the British Columbia border. I posted about this over the weekend with links.

and you are 100% WRONG. eom.
Definitely agree with you on this point 101% -
you will want to watch for news on financing to support the upcoming drilling events for spring/summer...
awesome post - couldn't have summed it up any better myself! I am really anxious to see how this one plays out
divide by 5 the number of shares you have and that's what you will have after the split.... So if you purchased 100,000 shares today, after the split you will have 20,000 - however the share price will be 5 times higher.
communication with IR at RioGrande (BLUG) indicates that they are just waiting on FINRA to push along the paperwork and initiate the reverse split and corresponding pricing change. They are still expecting this to take place this week.
You must take into careful consideration what is about to happen here, as it's not the usual scenario. The reverse split will affect not just the outstanding shares, but the authorized shares as well, the entire share structure will be reduced resulting in a much more favorable structure for a possible uplisting (speculated) and more eyes for better exposure in the investment community. If they follow up the reverse split with important financing news, you will see rapid price appreciation. The float here will be tiny after the split. If you go to their website, http://www.riograndepetroleum.com/ you can read the Independent Research Report and see the potential revenue figures. Basically anywhere from $700M to $1B in potential here, and an A/S of only 100 million should give everybody an idea of where this might head to.
nice... if NITE would just move out of the way and not try to keep the lid on this!
and there we go.... .25 printed!!
aww shux... i'm flattered! lol
i'll hit the add me button and let's see what they say
This could really get interesting!
Refer to the independent research report showing potential revenues from the wells:
Research Report
In due time, they will prove up nat gas reserves worth almost $1B, and the A/S here will only be $100M, float will be tiny, and connect the dots and you can see where this might end up!
bingo!
As per company PR on 3/22:
dont you just love it when NITE is on the bid and ask!
you are 100% correct - this is a little gem for those who catch on!!
they would have to follow the r/s with news of major financing to make the stock run, if not the stock price will drift back to it's pre-split prices. if you do all the DD and review the history of the players involved, these guys are serious and not playing games. i expect good things here. keep in mind the new share structure will make the float here tiny. it will move easily with the right news. good luck to you!
I got in touch with Tony (IR)at RioGrande... they are just waiting on FINRA for the adjustment, expecting it to take place this week. I went to their website, got his info, emailed him, he emailed me back within a few hours. Hope this helps answer any questions.
yes, come summertime we should see some very happy people here
I don't like to give pps predictions, however look at it like this, last year in the beginning of 2010, FRMC had a share price that fluctuated between .30 and .40, and oil was down near $70 a barrel at that time. As of late, oil is now nearing $107 a barrel. We're involved (assumed and hopefully soon to be confirmed) with Norm Mackenzie, and that to me speaks volumes. Could we see a share price north of .20? - we sure could, but there is no way to guarantee when and if that will happen! I'm sure if we are all patient we'll be rewarded!
SOME INFO ON PECO AREA OF ALBERTA
1. The Peco area of west central Alberta is considered to be a huge "Deep Basin" type of oil play.
Quote:
Results from a previous structural and stratigraphic investigation of the Belly River Formation in the Peco-West Pembina area were merged with a petrographic and hydrodynamic study. The resulting project indicates the presence of a largely bypassed "Deep Basin" style of oil play in much of west-central Alberta.
Also:
Quote:
Many bypassed zones have been identified within the Belly River, and extensions of several known pools may exist. The geological setting of the Peco-West Pembina area extends along depositional and structural strike to the northwest and southeast. In these settings, other Belly River accumulations are likely to be encountered.
Here is a link to a consulting firm in Calgary that has some information about the Peco area.... scroll down and read "Introduction - Peco West" Not exactly sure if this is the area where we might be drilling, but gives a sense/idea of the general areas involved and the potential. Would be nice to confirm more precise location.

fellas the focus here needs to be on the Alberta property only
Yes - Noticed that as well!
Hi Atlanta1, I agree - this could/will be a very lucrative play. I actually thought the R/S would be good, it was going to reduce the A/S as well as the O/S and make the float minuscule. We're talking about almost $1 BILLION in potential revenues and an A/S of $500M, but only $100M if we go through with the r/s. If the r/s were to be followed up by news of financing, it would be a good way to launch this, and we would be able to attract "other" eyes in the investment community if we went over the dollar mark. I am a bit puzzled as to why there has been no news if there was a delay or if the r/s is off, needless to say, I like the scenario here and watch their website like a hawk. Long and strong here - GLTA!
we're being walked down... surprise surprise, eh? lol
that, and kick NITE off the ask please.... they're gonna hold us down if we don't get more buying pressure
agreed, obviously with such a tight float you invite the volatility which I am sure we will witness, but this weekend I did my DD on the Peco area of west/central Alberta.... we are sitting good here, real good. Patience is all one needs for this play!
with such measly volume, look where we are already with the slightest buying pressure almost up 70%.... imagine when we get a catalyst for a good push, we will sky rocket... and hopefully sooner than later
Agreed! This will be fun to watch as the drilling projects get underway and we watch the pps go to much higher levels. It's not a question of IF, only a question of WHEN.
SOME KEY POINTS:
1. The Peco area of west central Alberta is considered to be a huge "Deep Basin" type of oil play.
Definitely going through a period of world events here in which a positive PR from FRMC would do wonders for the stalled out share price. As unrest in the Middle East spreads each week, and threats of disruption or fires at oil terminals in Libya come into play, things could get VERY interesting around here. It's hard waiting on material events... but it/they will come.
Absolutely agree - not on the radar of most, but definitely one of the better plays out there. Long term, this will reward handsomely for those who are patient. I've been watching this one for a long time albeit I have a small position here, I like the moves this company has steadily been making. All one has to do is pull up a 2 year chart on this one and do their DD to see where this one is eventually headed

** Excellent Q4 Results - 100% INCREASE in REVS!! **
Agreed gentlemen, news will be forthcoming soon hopefully. Meanwhile, tick tock tick tock......
action packed fun day here today, eh? lol
i'm not a chartist by any means, but I was just referring to the general "spring coil" pattern formed when the trading pattern goes into a narrow channel with higher lows and lower highs.... but more than anything, I was expressing my excitement because I do believe that we will do well with this play.
thanks for the updates, chart's lookin coiled!!
I definitely think you're right about that, will be nice to see how green we are by the end of this week Those who sold early will be trying to get back in, that alone will start pushing this up.
Looks like we're good here. Game on!
Thanks for the update. Nice late day surge and price pop, eh?
Just a waiting game I guess... I'm fine with what I have here, just think the timeline got stretched out a bit. I agree that most negative news is already factored in, and we'll probably bounce around a bit until concrete news comes out.
