NFEC 135k warrants @ $4
so past the 6% 810k loan in exchange for 135k warrants, how bad is this for pps if the warrants are $4 and the stock is at 3.30 now? thoughts welcome, trying to decide weather to take my lumps now or hold on.
"135,000 shares of its Common Stock at an initial exercise price of $4.00 per share, are not exercisable until three months after issuance"

Pam, MM and shorts play-by-play
I asked almost the exact same question a week ago, got pointed to this and found it useful in explaining the mechanics of this type of short, and actually written by a former MM.

hope it helps, I am also in CDIV, and my target is over $1, but for me this is more of a test run to learn.

GRNO entry points
can I ask you how you arrived at .75 pps?
nob question: best spreadsheet setup
Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best way to set up a excel sheet to track my portfolio, individual positions in it, and metrics. This seems like reinventing the wheel but I have had no luck finding an online service or even a ready made excel template to buy. It seems more likely to me I simply am looking in the wrong places, but no luck yet.
I am looking for things like this, (and assuming manual entry on most of the EPS numbers as I hold not just big board stocks, but things on the CGS board..)
Portfolio: live ticker updates via yahoo or other, overall annualized returns, benchmarks comparison, ability to add 401k funds manually, percent of total portfolio per position, churn rates, my expenses ratios, a page breakout for each position with entry of eps, float, revenue, margins, forward earnings estimates, etc, I plug in to establish target pps based on my DD research.
fyi: goggle, yahoo, smartmoney, financial times, stockalicious, etc are not what I am talking about. The closest thing I have found is: oldschoolvalue.com, but it will not run on a mac, have no idea why, and is based on only having to drop in a ticker, which is a bit too 'auto' for me.
I figure if I am going to be doing this for the next 30 years I might as well get the tools to track and evaluate, but I have a hard time believing I would need to build them from scratch.
Does anyone have a model to use, or even a place to buy something 'off the rack' and go from there? I am looking to use Excel or Numbers on a Mac, but even something to copy to build myself would be a start!
I know this is basic, I ask only after weeks of my own DD, thanks for your thoughts, hope this was the right place to ask.
kurt
thanks timmyjames! live and learn. I'm in now with a starter and I'll try to follow how you guys do this. I gather the plan is for +1.00 pps, i'll put that on alert.
thanks for helping the newbie understand.

CDIV exit plan?
How do you know when to exit, and doesn't the lockup also create a pps drop when everyone takes profits? Isn't it a rush out the door?
I am obviously new here, mostly over at ECSC reading/learning. I understand from reading Monk's sticky the basics, but not how the endgame works. Enlighten me if you can! On fundamentals its not something I would normally try, but I'll join in even at this price if I know how we all get out later.
thanks for your time,
kurt
NFEC 250% eps growth
Joe are you saying that the EPS growth is not enough? or that the potential dilution makes it irrelevant? I hold it so welcome your thoughts.
"The Company also expects EPS of approximately $0.35 for the 2009 fiscal year, which represents an approximate increase of 250% when compared to $0.10 EPS for the 2008 fiscal year."

RHGP I don't see anything about a government license in the 10-k. some patent application plans but I missed the license part. I may have this wrong but I though there were only a handful of those licenses.

RHGP & BSPM Hepatitus-B license
can anyone clarify how RHGP will compete with BSPM with a OTC Hepatitus-B med? I thought the government was not issuing any new licenses. Do they already have one? If BSPM's moat is being challenged that might be good to know..
thanks - kurt
Still in 95%, good to see others are too
As I am not a trader I have decided to take my lumps and hold tight for now, rather than loose more due to my own mistakes. Since I am new here, my entries into BSPM and CKGT leave me 25% down and wishing I wasn't but I am loving how SIAF and LTUS are doing, all considered. I happen to be in Taipei and Shanghai this week and I actually find it calming, seeing the wheels churning along. Its not real research, but no one I have talked to here thinks the economy is about to tank. They wonder what I am talking about. I don't expect this year to be an 09', I missed that, but I do hope by March to start breathing more green.

best Bargain for tomorrow? NEP,RINO,NEWN,LPIH,SIAF, others..
Have bit of cash that I have ready now, about 10%. Any thoughts on the best deal at the moment? I am already full on CCME, and unfortunately BSPM and CKGT too from buys before the dip.
I am considering filling out a L/T SIAF position (like the recent CC and the CSykes bonus), or smaller positions in NEP or LPIH. RINO would be a new holding, and the board seems to deem it a steal right now, but as I never got in on it I don't know it well. Still open to it, if its drop to $21 leaves it the best 3-4 mo. pick.
lots to choose from, just trying to get it down to 1 or 2...
thanks - Kurt
SIAF Dividend
He expects March to be announcement period for the dividend. No specific targets were mentioned. Important to note he also stated March was the target they had in mind for uplisting to OTC announcements.
Their was a ton of info on the call, I am sure folks are putting it together now.

SIAF,CSGH,LPIH thank's Joe
I have been adding, but a vote of confidence in these from a pro is one of the great and generous things about this board! much appreciated. The SIAF presentation is one of my faves.

SRRY uplisting in 2010 or 2011?
any chance of that as a future catalyst? or with an under 10m cap is buyout more likely?
- thanks
both CKGT website's down?
Thanks Trader, between your and pappy's more conservative take and Steven's still lies some nice growth, so its great to get your take.
speaking of lack of info, as of right now I can't get to either http://www.xrz.cn/, or http://biocactus.com/
I was interested in seeing if they were applying strong name branding to their products, the recent Hawk report does not go into this. It would seem to me you need this to build a moat for what might otherwise be a commodity, 60% of cactus market share or not.
thanks Trader!
kurt
many thanks, that gives me a snapshot
a 2010 CKGT pps or eps target?
wondering if some of the long time followers have a pps target range in mind for 2010? after the heated GAAP / non-GAAP 10Q/A earnings and commentary on the ECSC board wondering what people think now. understand the changes are more psychological than anything, the confusion and lack of recent PR have kept the valuation attractive it seems to me, at least compared to ESEC peers.
I am trying to evaluate, after today's overall run up, what holdings to expand on and hold for 2010, BSPM, NFEC, and NEP (if it pulls back), also in consideration among others.
if and EPS or PPS 2010 target is in an earlier post my appologies, just couldn't find it.
ihtblr that yahoo link was great, appreciate the board's take.

NEP flogged by Motley Fool
not sure if it would be enough, but it got a lot of attention in the last week, while folks waited for new IRA money. along with all the other late dec. press

CGDI - Book Value: .82 update
thanks for this! pics are great but getting that Geo number corrected is very useful, Bradford and others had questions on it higher, ( 1.2 -2.1) that seemed to high, though they were gossip numbers.
I'm happily holding for a few weeks now, and will continue.

CSP - thanks for PEG and more!
Thanks so much for this real life example, it gets right to the issue, and it's always nice to be even more convinced about something you already own! As one of the many 'lurkers' I really appreciate your generosity in explaing this. I never posted before so as to not to clog up the board unless I had something to add of value, but I just wanted to say thanks on this first day of 2010.
I can't yet offer up a great pick, but for any others looking to learn these 10 minute video's by a former hedge fund guy are great and free. I heard about him through NPR. The second set on Finance might be interesting to some of the more seasoned folks.
I look forward to learning from all of you in 2010, the traders, holders, and momentum players. In order to getting our retirement in fighting shape, which is no small task for an artist couple!
best in 2010 to the whole board
