do you think RACK can take out 17.10 here - seems a mighty challenge EDIT: it just did!!!
haven't followed HISC lately ... if you want to own the best of what HISC is should you own EVSY or HISC now-a-days?
that is doable .. and here i thought it was a lost cause
if you bought at 0.09 and now its at 0.003 ..... how much of a percentage gain do we need to get back to 0.09?
like 35,000,000,000,000,000%
oh that sucks!
did you just buy that nice round 1,000,000 on DKGR?
and since 0.006 is the ask all those 0.005 trades should be technically sells, correct? (yes, there is a buyer for every seller ...)
i hope you are right - i like being part of the smart people <VBG>
although the HISC people don't look to smart right now - at least those in from 0.14, 0.10, 0.05, etc.
quite possibly yes ... or it could go to zero?
that is what makes trading fun!
DKGR getting dumped at 0.005 this morning
if HISC ever sees 0.03 or 0.05 again everybody and their brother will be selling - we'd be lucky if Sprint (Nextel) bought HISC for a 0.10 - count on another year or two of being a bagholder - to much competition for HISC to overcome
all 5 DKGR trades this morning at 0.06
higher lows and higher highs yesterday
lets hope the trend continues!
sorry if this has been posted .. NTRI

More Flabby Performance at Weight Watchers
Monday August 7, 12:58 pm ET
By Stephen D. Simpson, CFA
It's always something at Weight Watchers (NYSE: WTW - News). Sometimes it's hurricanes that are to be blamed for disappointing performance. This time we're to believe it was the World Cup that hurt European performance. Funny thing is, while the excuses and proposed new plans often change, the same management and poor results don't.
This time around, revenue was up about 3%, as growth in North America was offset by weakness in the international segment. Gross margins were very slightly lower, and operating income basically matched the performance of revenue. Remember, the year-ago period included one-time expenses for the acquisition of WeightWatchers.com.
Sifting through the results, attendance was weak overall (down 4%), as anemic North American attendance growth (up 2.2%) was counterbalanced by a double-digit decline overseas. And though the online business continues to be the best-performing part of this story (up 18% this quarter), it's just barely more than 10% of total revenue and, as such, not really able to counteract the sluggish attendance trends.
No surprise to me, the company both lowered guidance this quarter and introduced a new plan to theoretically improve results. This new plan will be a monthly pass priced at a 20% discount to regular meetings fees and will include free access to the company's online products. With this new plan coming out in January, the company won't be using the relatively successful Seasons Pass this year but will reintroduce it again later. Confused? Imagine how the customers are going to feel...
In many respects, Weight Watchers is a consummately frustrating company and stock. While it generates prodigious returns on capital, it's still not that cheap and I don't think it's particularly well-run. Then again, other diet and fitness plays like NutriSystem (Nasdaq: NTRI - News) and Life Time Fitness (NYSE: LTM - News) aren't cheap, either, and you could argue that they don't have the same level of enduring brand value as Weight Watchers.
With the stock down a lot already, it's hard for me to be as negative as I once was. I certainly wouldn't want to throw my lot in with this management team, but sooner or later, this stock will reach a price at which its cash flow generation ability will make it worth a serious look. That's not today's price, though, so I'd still stay clear.
thank you, again <vbg>
thanks - didn't get to read all the posts today
"I think RACK got punished enough"
can you say the same thing about NTRI, please?!
but you still have to wait: "to be completed in 2007"
another year of this stock probably not maintaining a move upward - maybe a spurt or two only to settle back down
unless of course they can deliver on something else
are you long under $53 this morning? where do you think the Cramer <lol> sell will take it before it bounces back?
(Unless NTRI loses $50 on a closing basis)
thank you sir
at what price do you start nibbling at QCOM?
good luck - i've been burned before falling in love with a stock and being to stubborn to move on - i hope HISC ends up being good to you in the long run
how 'bout it Chris! - feel bad for some of these HISC holders - they got married to the stock - remember the one college guy who put a ton into it - bummer - they used to make fun of us for using stops or day/swing trading it
any APPL guesses on (by anyone) earnings? be nice to see them beat and the stock gain $3 <VBG>
how low is QCOM going?
still like QCOM?
are you still in GMED? thanks
what are your thoughts on PAPO?
Due to a site upgrade, the opening price shown for listed securities may be different in TD AMERITRADE Streamer™ than it is on the Web site until May 7. The Web site will display the official opening price from the primary exchange. We apologize for any inconvenience.
small world - grew up in St. Tarcissus parish - Milwaukee Ave. & Bryn Mawr - a stone's throw away from you
if you don't mind saying...where is Chi-town do you reside
i'm a born north-sider, living on the south-side
any updates on GMED? thanks
tahw saw taht uoy dias?
t'nac daer?
<LOL> yep - more like swing with HISC
i wish the best for HISC
1M is nothing compared to making 10M-100M for these guys
all i'm saying is be cautious and sleep with one eye open
Frank and the boys will get more shares of the new company than you can imagine - more than enough to care less about their HISC shares - think about that one - they are not stupid nor do they want to share with you and i
possible reason for the sell-off?
Chicago Tribune, todays, front page news, left column .....
Sprint Nextel begins offering a service that turns phones into tracking devices (doesn't sound new, but wait, read on) - targeting parents wanting to monitor their kids
Wherever a child goes the parent can track them on their own video phone or the Internet
The new Sprint "Family Locator" service will cost $9.99/month
The parent can receive alerts from the childs phone when they are not at the right location at the right time (WOW!) - the system automatically does safety checks at programable points in time
With this, why does Sprint/Nextel need the CT?
Sounds like Sprint Nextel phone can do all of this ....except Transmits excessive speed
Cyber Tracker Features
Provides reliable Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) tracking
Provides real-time tracking of personal property (family, vehicles, etc.)
Transmits excessive speed and off-limit location alerts
Rugged, state of the art design
Convenient size (5"x5"x 1")
Tamper-proof
Encrypted secure information with network historic reliability of 99.5%
Unlimited capture of data. Store and forward reporting
Multi level alarms
Wireless update capabilities.
"Push to Talk"
Extended battery life
exaggerated .... yes
someone knows something - should have been great news - should have driven up the stock if the investors knew nothing - otherwise, why the sell off?
if they were on another exchange they would not be allowed to state such vague information - hence, smells funny - hence, sell off
i hope it goes to 0.20 on Monday - but if it sells off more then there is a problem somewhere along the line
"What if anything do you think the BB company is telling their current shareholders regarding this news. How do they keep something like this quiet."
it's a shell game
the BB company is probably 1-3 shareholders, maybe Frank's uncle
Frank and the boys will make out like gangbusters and the HISC holders will get screwed
happens all the time - not wanting it to happen here - but not counting it out either - you can't tell me the market doesn't know whats going on and that accounted for a 12% drop today - difference here is that there actually is a working product
shell game (paper shuffling) - traders love it
but who cares as long as their products start making money - real dollars matter in the long run - the investor could be a winner in the end
analyze all you want Lee - i'll just be watching the other Sox defend their title <VBG>
great, thanks - only problem with waiting until really oversold is timing it to be in it - may try some with a tight stop, if it hit wait another 0.50 and try again
thoughts on INTC 30 days from now - looking for a swing trade - not a daily buy and exit trade - thanks!
