News 16 SEP 2015: Hotstoqx Renews Strong Buy Recommendation for Hannover House
Hotstoqx Renews Strong Buy Recommendation for Hannover House
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 16, 2015 / HotStoqx.com, a Vancouver-based investor awareness firm involved in the analysis of publicly-traded companies, has renewed their strong "BUY" recommendation for media distributor Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE). HotStoqx notes that rapidly growing revenues for Hannover House, from theatrical and home video, indicates that the current share price could be undervalued by a factor of more the ten-times. The Hotstoqx recommendation also notes that HHSE revenue growth, as reported in recent S.E.C. filings, exclude international sales, production fees and the new Video-On-Demand portal, VODWIZ.
"The fourth quarter for HHSE should be the biggest in their history," said Jason Monroe, managing partner for Hotstoqx. "If HHSE achieves 50% of their sales goal, their stock price, based on P/E averages for their media sector, should be ten to twelve times higher by the end of this year. If they hit their current 2015 sales goal, the PPS could be fifteen-to-twenty times higher. As of today, we feel the stock is at least six times undervalued, which is why we're recommending an immediate strong buy and hold," he concluded.
Principal driving factors for the growth in revenues for HHSE is the company's 2015 expansion of theatrical release activities. HHSE's theatrically released titles enjoy significantly greater placement success and sales for both home video and streaming platforms. The company has released four films to theaters this year, with three more titles set for October and November, including the company's biggest release to date, the youth-appeal "Dancin' It's On." Earlier theatrical releases, "The Algerian," "Bonobos: Back to the Wild," "Dark Awakening" and "The Weather Station" have received significant home video orders for shipment this year. Additionally, two of the titles have been accepted for the Netflix Subscription Video-On-Demand platform, and one has been sold to first run cable. Hannover House does not believe that these substantial ancillary sales would have occurred if these titles were not first released to theatres. In addition to the October 16 release of "Dancin' It's On," HHSE will release the Spanish-language thriller, "Borrar de la Memoria" and the sci-fi-horror "Encounter" to theatres in November.
The addition of five outside studio suppliers under the Medallion Releasing sales venture has been another major factor in the growth of revenues and bottom line profits for HHSE during 2015. This multi-label sales consortium has improved the credibility and market share strength for all participating suppliers, and resulted in a significant increase in product placements with Walmart, Best Buy, Target and other key USA retail accounts.
Hannover House, Inc. has been operating in the publishing and entertainment sectors since 1993, and has grown into a recognized brand name in the releasing of independent films to theatres, DVD, video-on-demand and television. The company posted a Form 8k Information Statement to the S.E.C. on Tuesday, September 15, which included details of current sales, and forecasted bottom-line results from these activities.
Hotstoqx produced and released its initial Research Report in April on Hannover House, which may be obtained by sending an email to: info@hotstoqx.com. The previously published report is also available on the OTC Markets site at: http://www.otcmarkets.com/financialReportViewer?symbol=HHSE&id=136557.

27 AUG 2015: Political Thriller "The Algerian" Invades Theatres in New York, Los Angeles

Political Thriller "The Algerian" Invades Theatres in New York, Los Angeles
Acclaimed Independent Feature Continues Successful Theatrical Roll-Out to Top USA Markets
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / August 27, 2015 / Political thrillers are not the customary fare for most independent film producers, but “The Algerian” continues to find success as it expands its current theatrical release, said Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. of distributor Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE). The film, which first launched on August 7 at the Regal Majestic 20 in Silver Spring, MD, a popular Washington, D.C. area theatre, is now expanding to Los Angeles this Friday, and New York City next weekend. Hannover House plans to expand the film to more than 20 additional markets in September.
“’The Algerian’ surprised a lot of people with its box office success in D.C.,” said Parkinson. “The film performed in the top tier of all releases, beating out a dozen major studio hits. We had a similar result the following weekend at the Regal Stadium in Staten Island. Now, with the support of our key exhibition partners, the film will be reaching audiences in Los Angeles, New York City and most of the rest of the top 25 largest markets in the country,” he continued.
Hannover House describes the film as a powerful, political thriller from writer-producer-director Giovanni Zelko, which explores the sensitive and timely issue of Islamic extremism. For the first time in cinematic history, the audience is taken behind-the-curtain to see the inside workings of a terrorist sleeper cell, and the emotional, physical and philosophical struggles that define such activities and which ultimately drive the narrative of the film. “The Algerian” has garnered 27 awards or citations from 15 international film festivals, and has inspired feature stories and support from major publications and websites. Principal stars include Ben Youcef, Harry Lennix, Candice Coke, Tara Holt and director Giovanni Zelko.
The Los Angeles launch will occur this Friday, August 28, at the Laemmle Music Hall 3 in Beverly Hills. The director and key cast members will be present and participating in a Q&A after the 7:30pm show on Friday, after the 10:00pm show on Saturday and after the noon Sunday matinee. The New York City opening will occur on Friday, September 4 at the Regal E-Walk 13 on 42nd St. For more information on the film and special events, including cast and crew appearances at theatres, go to www.TheAlgerianMovie.com.

Exclusive Interview with 'The Algerian' Director Giovanni Zelko
http://www.latino-review.com/news/exclusive-interview-with-the-algerian-director-giovanni-zelko
With 19 film fest awards under its belt, indie film THE ALGERIAN finally makes its US theatrical debut on August 7th, befittingly in Washington D.C. The refreshing political thriller is based on an Algerian man, who grapples between his mission and conscience, after immersing himself in his new American environment. The film is a welcoming contrast to the ongoing terrorism, intolerance and evil the world is faced and consumed with today.
Ben Youcef plays the brave leading character with a strong supporting cast comprised of Harry Lennix, Candice Coke and Tara Holt. The story is co-written and executive produced by Youcef along with director/executive producer/editor, Giovanni Zelko. I had a chance to sit down with Zelko a few months ago in London at the International Filmmaker Festival, where the film sweeped up the best feature and best actor awards. See what he had to say about his indie feature and much more.
LR: Tell me how you went from lighting technician to writer, director, actor, producer and editor?
GZ: I was a writer, director and actor before I became a lighting technician. I studied film analysis in Boston university film school, where I shot, directed, and wrote a couple of short films there. One of those short films helped me get an internship in LA at Roger Corman studios. I consider my work in LA as post-graduate work. I started working in indie B movies with Roger Corman as well as indie non-union films. Once I got in the union, I started working as a lighting technician on big productions, all the while, continuing studying films and writing plays. All that led up to THE ALGERIAN, which we started working on 6 years ago.
LR: You teamed up with Ben Youcef to co-write this film. Who’s idea was it and how was it conceived?
GZ: I wrote the screenplay, but the story concept is by Ben and I. Ben and I work out together, but have also worked on a commercial together in the past. Ben is a Muslim-American and I lived in NYC at the time 9/11 happened. The affect was great on me. Ben and I would discuss the post 9/11 atmosphere in the U.S. Every once in a while, there would be a headline somewhere with a sleeper cell or terrorist cell that was picked up in the U.S. somewhere. It was important to both of us as an idea. He had an idea to make a film about 9/11 and the 20th hijacker, who didn’t show up, because there were 19. I passed on that idea as it was too difficult to do that kind of film on a small budget and Oliver Stone had already made a film about 911. A few years later, he and I discussed doing a film together, and I presented him with the idea of doing it in the immediate future and having it present and relevant as a terrorist secret cell living in LA. He liked that idea and he was perfect for the part. That led us discussing the idea of a terrorist organization in Algeria that sends him out to LA to do a job. The easiest way to get in the US is with a student visa, so I used that concept to bring the terrorist cell in and Ben had his own experiences in the US he incorporated into the story.
LR: So Ben has a close attachment to the script because of those experiences in his life?
GZ: Yes, as a Muslim immigrant living in America, the relationships aspects he has are in the story. The screenplay structure I created is based on a politically motivated terrorist organization and is not Muslim motivated. It’s not about Jihad ideology or anything like ISIS. The ideology in the film is based on politics of ejecting western influence in the political arena of Middle Eastern and African countries. The distinction is there, so that it isn’t about Jihadist, but rather about a politically motivated cell structure.
LR: What was Harry Lennix’s involvement in the film?
GZ: Harry is one of the co-stars in the film. He and I have a partnership in another film called H4, so in developing THE ALGERIAN, I asked if he would play one of the main co-stars, and he said, “yes.” As a producer, he was one of the first actors to step onboard and because of his fame in Hollywood; other actors I approached afterward were more inclined to get involved because Harry was involved. That had a lot of weight for me as a filmmaker to get others onboard. Seymour Cassel is also another famous actor who plays the professor in our film. I became friends with him years ago in a cigar shop. I studied him years ago in film school, so we would always talk about films and what he and John Cassavetes were up to in N.Y. They are the original indie filmmakers.
LR: Within the script, there were parts that I didn't quite see fitting in, like the escorts. Why did you feel these were necessary for the film?
GZ: It was an important element for me because the film functions on many different levels and each of the characters have different facets. They reveal different aspects of themselves as the film progresses, so the audience senses Lana is a good person, but she’s a city girl who lives on the edge of society. When we find out she’s a prostitute, we’re not tremendously shocked, but we are somewhat intrigued by it. The Ali character falls in love with her, but she like him, lives lives on the edge of society. She represents the side of society that people are unaware of, but look the other way from. The scene with the banker represents the ugly side of capitalism and that money can buy anything. I wanted to represent the Sodom and Gomorrah element of the US; the very thing that the Ali character was coming after as seen through his eyes, as a fallen state, fallen society. I wanted to touch upon the negative part of society and the capitalistic drive.
LR: Talk a bit about the cinematography and how the film was shot?
GZ: The DP, Tony Rudenko is very talented. We had worked together on a music video in the past. He comes from a visual effects background, so he has a great eye for design and detail. Tony shot everything in LA, and I shot the scenes that were in in NY, LV and Algeria. We tested 2 scenes, to see how we wanted to shoot this and had a lot of discussions about it prior to filming. He and I operated the camera, but would trade off. The camera was handheld for budget reasons as well as giving it a doc style. It also gave us more flexibility. We had a fluid system of shooting with a very small crew.
LR: This film has made its way around to many festivals so far. What has the reception been like overall?
GZ: The festival route has been really good to us. We’ve won 17 awards so far [2 more after this interview] and we’ve won in every category possible. People are very impressed with the overall look and polish of the film. It’s an indie film with a polished Hollywood style to it. I edited the film, so we tested it over and over again, to eliminate anything that didn't work.
LR: What about the terrorist and religious aspect of the film? How have people responded to that?
GZ: What’s been going on in Syria and ISIS has been very relevant to the content of our film, so people are very interested in how we were able to make a film so quickly after those events. The truth is that we started shooting the movie after the Arab spring started. People are very responsive overall to the story of co-existence, a story of tolerance, a Muslim man in a non-Muslim country and how he comes to terms with who he perceives as the enemy initially and the people he becomes friends with and falls in love with. It’s ultimately not a story about religion or different communities and social backgrounds. It’s a story about humanity and how a human being is able to come full circle and pull themselves out of a delusional state and see the humanity in people regardless of skin color, gender, age, and religious background. I’ve have people from different backgrounds come to me after the film and respond really well by telling me how the film cuts through to the bone and removes all the confusing elements of how people distinguish themselves from one another, through all these different codes that we’ve created. The film can see a person to a person, a human to be human. It’s great to hear that from different people. I purposely cast people from as many different ethnicities as possible, so we have a very robust cast.
I sought out for every speaking part a person that would fit the part, but be ethnically diverse from one another.
THE ALGERIAN has a distribution with Hannover House with a 16 city release, starting with a premiere in Washington D.C. August 7, 2015. For more info on the film, visit http://thealgerianmovie.com/ and for the premiere, visit http://www.fandango.com/thealgerian_183819/movieoverview

GIOVANNI ZELKO ON HIS FILM THE ALGERIAN

An interview with Giovanni Zelko about his film The Algerian, scheduled to open in 20 different cities nationwide in the next few weeks.

Giovanni Zelko’s latest film The Algerian is currently in limited release and scheduled to open in 20 different cities nationwide in the next few weeks. Here, Zelko talks about his film background at Boston University, his inspiration for the film, and some sage advice he received from Clint Eastwood.
Giovanni Zelko got his start in films in a media class at his high school in 1990, back when editing for beginners happened from one VHS tape deck to another.
He found one of his earlier influences to be James Cameron, whom he would later work with on Avatar, and took some clips from Cameron’s film, Terminator 2, to make a five-minute trailer of his own.
After that, Zelko enrolled in the film program of Boston University where he graduated from in 1996. He states, “I went to focus on film theory, film analysis and screenwriting, and I felt BU was a better environment for that.” And while he did make a thesis film his junior year, a 16mm film that landed him an internship at Roger Corman’s Studio in Los Angeles, Zelko spent much of his time at BU writing, so much so, that he ended up publishing a book of film theory essays he wrote while at BU, entitled Living the Dream: A Collection of Essays From Film School.
Zelko’s new film The Algerian chronicles the path of a young Algerian man making his way to America as a sleeper cell for a terrorist group from his home country. Zelko, who has many credits on this film: Writer, Director, Executive Producer, Editor, Distant Location Cinematographer, and Actor, got the idea for it chatting with the film’s lead actor, Ben Youcef, who has a storywriter’s credit on the film, about both of their experiences in America in a post-9/11 world. Youcef initially had the idea to make the story about the man who was the 20th hijacker in the 9/11 attacks, but had no luck shopping it around to production companies.
After some more discussion, Zelko and Youcef came up with the idea for The Algerian. When I asked Zelko what the film was about, he reversed the question on me, “What do you think it’s about?” I told him my answer, (which I won’t reveal because it may spoil the film’s ending), to which he responded, “You’re dead on.”
The Algerian has won 19 awards at different film festivals in the US, and has found distribution through Hanover House. This previous Friday it premiered in Washington DC, which Zelko appreciates as he refers to the film as a “political thriller.” I asked Zelko what some reactions to the film were, he said, “It was a consistent response, people liked that it was balanced, showed rational and the good and bad sides of the US.”
Zelko spent two years shooting the film, parts of which he shot on site in Algeria. During this time, Zelko also worked as a Lighting Technician for different big budget features, one of which was X-Men First Class. I asked him what the biggest difference was between working on studio pictures and shooting his low-budget feature, he says it was an “interesting parallel” and that “the budget” was of course the biggest difference.
Zelko named some of his favorite films as Raiders of the Lost Ark, which he called Speilberg’s greatest film, Chinatown, Three Days of the Condor, and Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, which he said might be his all-time favorite film. Zelko recently finished Executive Producing and working as Second Unit Director of Photography on another production entitled H4, featuring supporting actor from The Algerian, Harry Lenix.
Zelko also gave me a hint about his next Directing/Producing project, which he wrote with partner Jim Smith, entitled Saint Mary’s Secret, saying only that it will be “a psychological thriller” and “a cross between Rosemary’s Baby and The Shining.
When I asked Zelko about his advice to aspiring filmmakers, he said, “I’ve asked many directors the same question myself,” including to Clint Eastwood, who replied to Zelko’s question with simply, “Learn to edit kid.”
Zelko’s own advice is simple and optimistic, “Filmmaking is constantly changing, technology is changing, the need for content is so voracious, no matter what you’re doing, you can always find an outlet for it.”
The Algerian will be a limited release and is scheduled to open in 20 different cities nationwide in the next few weeks. You can find out more about the film and watch a trailer at www.thealgerianmovie.com. For more information on Giovanni Zelko visit his website at www.giovannizelko.com.

HH Blog 16 JUL 2015:
ONE MORE DAY: "Dark Awakening" Roll-Out To Theatres Begins!
Dear HHSE Friends - for those of you in the 5-mile zone surrounding each theatre playing "DARK AWAKENING" starting tomorrow - we apologize. Our targeted ads are bombarding the specific markets and specific neighborhoods like a tidal wave onto those locals.
For those of you NOT residing in a market playing the film, you probably haven't seen many ads.
Why is this? Well, as some of you know or will recall, Hannover House spent over $3-million on NATIONAL ADS for "TWELVE" back in 2010 - reaching audiences in markets that the film was NOT playing in, and NOT making much of an impression (due to spend-dilution) for the markets where the film WAS playing. So a smarter plan, we've discovered, is to target the specific zones around each theatre playing a particular film. This way, the ads are being seen ONLY by those people most likely to respond, and we're not wasting dollars on audiences that cannot act on our advertising message.
In the meantime, tomorrow will see 12-new locations added to Greensboro, and July 24 and July 31 will see the broader expansion to all major markets.
The Special Event / Red-Carpet premiere by Fangoria Magazine last night in Studio City (Los Angeles market) was a HUGE success (Standing Room Only!), and we will post media from this as the sites go live. (GETTY IMAGES LINK IS BELOW).

Acclaimed Documentary, 'Bonobos Back to the Wild' to Reach USA Audiences and Theatres This Summer
NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / July 13, 2015 / The acclaimed, French docudrama, "Beny" by director Alain Tixier, will be presented to theatrical audiences in the USA with a newly adapted, English-language version titled "Bonobos: Back to the Wild." The feature film, which combines documentary footage shot in the Congo, with dramatic re-enactments of actual events, will be released to theatres beginning July 31, by Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE). The film will premiere in Washington, DC at a special event screening and one-week theatrical engagement to benefit the Lola Ya Bonobo sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. On August 7, the film's release will be expanded to include New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago before expanding on August 14 and August 21 to reach more than 50 top markets in the USA.
"BONOBOS: Back to the Wild" is the English-language adaptation of French director Alain Tixier's acclaimed documentary, "Beny" (a.k.a. "Bonobos"). The film tells the true story of naturalist Claudine André and her work in the Congo to protect the critically endangered bonobo apes. Sometimes mistakenly referred to as "pygmy Chimpanzees," bonobos are actually a unique species of primate – and the closest cousin of all to mankind (with a shared genetic code that is 98.7% identical to humans).
Over twenty years ago, Claudine André formed the Lola Ya Bonobo Rescue Center deep in the forest of the central African nation of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Political unrest and civil war had taken a toll on the economy, and food was becoming scarce. Villagers had grown more aggressive in pursuing live game from the forest as a food source. Despite their status as a protected species, adult bonobos were being slaughtered for "bush meat" by poachers, who would often keep the baby apes for black-market sale as exotic pets. With the support of the government and local police, Claudine and her team have since rescued over 400 orphaned bonobos and placed them into protective care at her Lola Ya Bonobo Rescue Center.
The film opens with the story of one young bonobo, Beni, in the wilds of the equatorial forest with his extended bonobo tribe. Their carefree lives are soon interrupted when poachers shoot and kill Beni's mother, and kidnap and crate him for sale. While in the custody of the poachers, Beni is abused, teased and malnourished. However, before he can be sold and shipped overseas, Claudine and a Congolese Policeman successfully locate the poachers and confiscate the young bonobo.
At Lola Ya Bonobo, Beni is nursed back to health by his new, human "mothers." He befriends new bonobo playmates, and over the coming years he learns survival skills that will be needed when he reaches maturity. Ultimately, in a bittersweet parting from Claudine and his Lola Ya Bonobo human family, the fully-grown adult Beni is released back into the wild.
The story of Beni's rescue, raising and release is true, and was skillfully chronicled and re-enacted by acclaimed French documentary filmmaker Alain Tixier. Shot over a six-month period in the Congo – and featuring stunning visuals – the film presents the most revealing look ever into the lives and loves of mankind's closest cousin. Claudine André and her successful bonobo achievements have drawn comparisons to Jane Goodall's work with chimpanzees and Dian Fossey's study of gorillas.
Producer / Writer Vivian Schilling ("Toys in the Attic") utilized some powerhouse talent to provide the voices for Beni and for Claudine's narration. LUKE EVANS, (star of "Dracula Untold", "Fast and Furious 6" and "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" among other major box office hits) performed the role of Beni, and recorded at Warner Brothers De Lane Lea Studios in London. Rebecca Hall, star of "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," "Transcendence," "Iron Man 3," and the upcoming "Big Friendly Giant" was a perfect vocal match to provide the narration for Claudine in the film. Her performance was recorded at Sync Sound in New York and in Savannah, GA.
"Bonobos: Back to the Wild" will open at theatres this summer through Hannover House, beginning with a one-week exclusive in Washington, D.C., then expanding to the top 20 DMA's on August 7th and 14th, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
ABOUT THE CAST & PRINCIPAL FILMMAKERS:
Claudine André is a Belgian conservationist. She founded Lola Ya Bonobo in 1994, which is a bonobo sanctuary, just south of Kinshasa, at Mont Ngafula, in the Lukaya Valley, Democratic Republic of Congo. The aim of the sanctuary is to collect young bonobos, most having been orphaned due to the actions of poachers, and eventually reintroduce them into a forest reserve. During the same year, Claudine André started the Friends of Animals in the Congo, of which she is still president.
Claudine arrived in Congo as a child, with her father, who was a veterinary surgeon, and has lived there ever since. She ran an art boutique, sourcing and selling rare art works. She married Victor and has five children. When war disrupted daily life in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the 1990s, Claudine worked as a volunteer in Kinshasa Zoo, because the animals had been neglected and were starving. Elsewhere in the country, people were finding traditional food production difficult, because of the war, and turned instead to bushmeat to feed themselves and their families. This in turn led to orphaned bonobo turning up for sale on the streets of Kinshasa - and it was from this situation that Claudine started Lola Ya Bonobo. Claudine portrays herself in the film, in both documentary and docudrama (recreated) footage based on actual events.
Luke Evans is a Welsh actor and singer. Evans began his career on the stage, performing in many of London's West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf before getting his breakthrough role in Hollywood starring in the Clash of the Titans 2010 remake, playing Apollo. Following his debut, Evans was cast in such action and thriller films as Immortals (2011), The Raven (2012), and the re-imagined The Three Musketeers (2011), in which he played Aramis.
In 2013, Evans starred as the main antagonist Owen Shaw in the blockbuster Fast & Furious 6, and also played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Evans also portrayed the vampire Dracula in the character's film origin story, Dracula Untold. In "Bonobos: Back to the Wild," Luke provides the voice of "Beni" an orphaned bonobo, based on an actual rescued bonobo and his true story of rehabilitation and release to the wild.
Rebecca Hall is a British-American actress. In 2003, she won the Ian Charleson Award for her debut stage performance in a production of Mrs. Warren's Profession. She has appeared in the films The Prestige, Vicky Cristina Barcelona (for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe), The Town, Frost/Nixon, Iron Man 3, and Transcendence.
In June 2010, Hall won the Supporting Actress BAFTA for her portrayal of Paula Garland in the 2009 Channel 4 production Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974. She was also nominated for the Leading Actress BAFTA in 2013 for her role as Sylvia Tietjens in BBC Two's Parade's End. Rebecca provides the English-language narration voice for Claudine André in "Bonobos: Back to the Wild."
Alain Tixier directed "Bonobos: Back to the Wild," and is recognized as one of the most awarded and acclaimed documentary film producers and directors in France. His impressive resume includes multiple feature documentaries, television specials and series, including some of the following:
-2015 Bonobos: Back to the Wild
-2011 Beny: Back to the Wild (Documentary)
Vivian Schilling is an American novelist, actor and independent filmmaker. Born and raised in Kansas, Schilling studied at The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and also under Stella Adler before embarking upon careers in literature and film. In 2012, Schilling completed work for Paris-based Eurocine Films as the writer, producer and director of the English adaptation of Toys in the Attic, based on the stop-motion, animated feature by Czech director Jiri Barta. The film was released theatrically in September 2012 and received top accolades from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today and The New York Post among others.
Schilling has acted in a variety of leading roles in independent films since 1986, including Savage Land and the Polish film Niemcy, a World War II drama based on the stage play by Leon Kruczkowski. She portrayed feminist and author Gertrude Atherton opposite Campbell Scott's Ambrose Bierce in the film anthology Ambrose Bierce: Civil War Stories. Schilling also provided the voice of Buttercup in Toys in the Attic alongside co-stars Forest Whitaker, Joan Cusack and Cary Elwes.
Schilling has written two novels: Quietus (Penguin-Putnam) and Sacred Prey (St. Martin's Press), both released to critical acclaim.
For "Bonobos: Back to the Wild," Schilling performed all key production roles to bring the film to the U.S. and other English speaking audiences worldwide. The adaptation of the French script, as well as the casting and direction of talent, required the engagement of a filmmaker with writing, directoral and post-production experience. Schilling's adaptation of "Toys in the Attic" made her the perfect choice for SND Films and MC4 to engage as Producer. Schilling met with director Alain Tixier at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival to present her vision for the English version – which included subtitles for the French and Lingala language scenes to preserve the integrity of the documentary – with additions to the narration and voice over scripts to make it accessible to all ages. Schilling began recording talent at Warner Brothers DeLane Lea studios in London in February (2015), and finished the film's mix and mastering in June. BONOBOS: BACK TO THE WILD

Blog 14 JUNE 2015:
Our tax dollars, at work?
Happy Sunday evening, HHSE friends - as of 10pm Pacific Time today (Sunday, June 14), HHSE still has not received back formal approval for the wording of the participation details of a sponsorship and charitable beneficiary promotion supporting the first "major" theatrical title release from the active Cannes acquisition market. Accordingly, we are unlikely to be posting that particular piece of news tomorrow morning, as we had previously planned. It's facetious of us to say "our tax dollars at work" merely because the organization has a military - governmental - Veterans Administration tie-in. The fact of the matter is that they are extremely careful about their organization's associations with commercial ventures, and they don't work on weekends (unlike the HHSE staff!).
The title is acquired and set for Q4 theatrical release. If we don't get the approval in the next few days from this cross-promotional partner, we will proceed to release the film's theatrical release news without the cross-promotional partner's details included.

News 12 JUN 2015: Robust Acquisitions Market at Cannes Leads to Bountiful Success for Hannover House
Robust Acquisitions Market at Cannes Leads to Bountiful Success for Hannover House

OTC Disclosure & News Service
Cannes, France -
Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE) and its affiliated companies Medallion Releasing, Inc. and VODWIZ, Inc. scored a record bounty of new title acquisitions for the North American market at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival and Marche du Film in France. For the company’s rapidly expanding slate of high-end theatrical titles, Hannover House acquired four new features for 2015, the first of which will be formally announced today in a free-standing press release. For the home video packaged goods activities (DVD and BluRay distribution) a total of thirty-five new titles were licensed; and for the growing Video-On-Demand library under the VODWIZ streaming channel, 408 new titles from a total of 8 new supplier studios were brought on board.
"The response from distributors, sales agencies and licensors far exceeded our most optimistic projections," said Fred Shefte, President. "Our goal was to promote the forthcoming launch of the VODWIZ portal to international rights owners. While that goal was achieved and exceeded, we also ended up licensing a record number of highly commercial titles for home video and theatrical. With out a doubt, the Cannes market this year has generated the greatest results in the company's 21-year history at any and all film markets," he concluded.
The Hannover House theatrical schedule for 2015 includes four previously announced titles for this summer and four additional, unannounced titles for Q3 and Q4. However, the new Cannes acquisitions will add four more new titles into the 2015 schedule, including at least one title for wide theatrical release. For the home video schedule, 35 new titles acquired for Hannover House and Medallion will be incorporated into the company's existing video release schedule, with a majority of the new Cannes direct-to-video titles expected for actual on-sale release during Q1 of 2016. The 400+ new titles that were acquired for VODWIZ are already in the process of on-boarding / uploading to the streaming-portal's massive film library, with at least 100 of them expected for the on-line initial launch of the consumer site later this summer. At present, the VODWIZ portal exists solely as a placeholder website, with only 60 titles posted on-line and limited consumer awareness. The activation of the mirror-consumer site for VODWIZ will occur within the next few weeks, and is expected to have more than 500 titles immediately "live" for consumers to stream upon first launch. By the end of 2015, VODWIZ hopes to have more than 2,500 titles from a total of more than 18 supplier studios on-line for viewing. In total, including the newly licensed titles from Cannes, the VODWIZ venture now has access to over 3,300 titles. Five additional suppliers - collectively controlling the streaming rights to more than 4,000 additional feature films or television programs - have expressed interest in joining the VODWIZ supplier community, but are waiting for the consumer site to be activated first. The VODWIZ portal is being described as "the Netflix of Independent Studios" although several major studios are in talks to place programming onto the VODWIZ streaming site in additional to support from the major independent studios and distributors.
In accordance with the agreements for the higher-end theatrical titles acquired at Cannes, each of these new features will be announced through stand-alone press releases, the first of which is slated for Friday, June 12.

Blog update from 11 JUN 2015:
http://www.hannoverhousemovies.blogspot.com/
HHSE
UPDATE - Tuesday, June 2, 2015 - Greetings Again! While HHSE ignores the intentional obfuscations of the stock trolls on various chat boards, we did receive questions from legitimate, intelligent and honest shareholders about the Media Day and launch dates for the three above titles. So in respect of those who legitimately want to know the details of mid-summer, theatrical-release strategies, we will elaborate.
First of all, it's important that HHSE shareholders recognize that all three of the above titles are considered "Limited Releases" by the industry. While BONOBOS and ALGERIAN will hit most of the top 20 markets - and DARK AWAKENING should hit ALL of the top 40-to-65 markets (collectively representing the DMA's covering 80% of the total USA population) - anytime a film is being released on less than 1,000 screens, the major exhibitors consider it a "limited release."
What's the difference between a NATIONAL BREAK and a LIMITED RELEASE?
Well, the obvious answer is number of theatres. The less obvious answer is MEDIA support, and this is where limited releases become very flexible in the eyes of the exhibitors.
Whereas "DARK AWAKENING" is a big release for an indie studio and Hannover House, it's still NOT a NATIONAL BREAK with major media support. When a film like "INSIDIOUS 3" is being released by a major studio (on 2,500+ screens), the media campaigns tend to be what some marketers refer to "the shotgun approach" - a wide blast of whatever is available to hit the broadest audience possible... from Missoula, Montana to Miami, Florida. TV spots, Radio, Internet, Billboards, a major effort to make as much noise as possible to support the 2,500+ screens. With a LIMITED RELEASE film that may be playing on only ONE screen (for instance) in all of Manhattan (NYC), "the shotgun approach" would be extremely inefficient and illogical. Ads would be running all over the Tri-State area, with only a small percentage of impressions falling onto those consumers actually residing within 5-miles of the theatre.
An average consumer is unlikely to see much of the HHSE targeted marketing - unless they also happen to fit into our very specific demographics and Zip Code for each film. How HHSE handles a limited release is to focus on the Zip Codes within a 3-to-5 mile radius of each actual booked theatre location - and then to further refine the focus on the target demo audience. Movie goers who might be interested in "DARK AWAKENING" are not necessarily the same people likely to be interested in "BONOBOS" due to subject matter. There are some "national" promotions for these HHSE that are less efficient... for instance, the World Wildlife Fund will be making a national email blast to several million opt-in recipients, suggesting that they go see "BONOBOS" at the theatre... the majority of such recipients will likely not reside within 5-miles of one of the targeted locations... but the awareness from such a promotional outreach is good, and appreciated, and might help with our Netflix response and home video (packaged goods) sales of the item during Q4. But generally speaking, HHSE works directly with each booked theatre to implement NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIFIC support campaigns on these limited releases.
How does this impact the shuffling of release dates? Simply put, HHSE follows the lead of our theatre bookers. When the major theatre chains say, "hey, you'll do a lot better on this week, vs. that other week," we listen and respond. Why? Because it's more important to deliver successful results than to stubbornly stick to a release schedule that has competitive obstacles. When a film is in limited release, there is no bleed-over, where such-and-such location (in the same market) has the film before another location. Each market tends to be single-screen exclusives (but in the case of "DARK AWAKENING," each market with multiple screens will honor the revised release dates, specifically to avoid any competitive conflicts).
* * * * *
The New York Media Day being set for Wed., July 8th, opens up tremendous support opportunities that were NOT available to HHSE if such an event were held prior to July 4th weekend. Why? Because the major studios and tent-pole releases will "suck all of the air out of the room" prior to July 4th with all the media attention focused on the major releases. What happens right AFTER that weekend? Do all the entertainment shows stop broadcasting? Do the newspaper critics take a holiday? No... but they do find themselves (during the week after Fourth of July), with time on their hands and limited new releases to cover. Thus steps-in HHSE and a three-film Media Day on July 8th. Two critic and press screenings each for DARK AWAKENING, BONOBOS and ALGERIAN, plus cast and filmmakers present for electronic (broadcast) interviews and print reporters. The HHSE Media Day becomes the primary source of new release stories for the week with the national press.
Someone asked us "why didn't you have the July dates selected before you pencilled in June?" That's a fair question, and one which returns to the fundamental issue of the fungible nature of limited releases in the eyes of the exhibitors, relative to screen competition during the busiest season of the year. Although we have tried, the results have been unsuccessful in asking the theatre chains to "help us pick the best date" for this-or-that movie. Instead, we are forced to arbitrarily pick a date based on our own analysis of competitive factors... then go fishing for screens that meet those dates. This is when we actually get feedback from the chains, who say, "hey, June 19 sucks for us, please look at July 17." Why didn't they say July 17 from the start (in this hypothetical scenario)? Because they don't have enough hours in the day to run release models for every studio asking for date consultaiton on every single release. When an indie such as HHSE picks a date and the exhibitors try to slot it in (unsuccessfully), that's when the title rises to their attention and response. Would this change with a 1,000+ theatre title? Absolutely, because such National Breaks are calendered many months in advance - and supported with "the shotgun" marketing approach that is very date specific. The big titles are pretty much unmovable - which is why the Limited Releases get shuffled around as space opens and closes at the multiplexes.
How does this impact HHSE revenues? Generally, moving theatrical release dates is done to find a BETTER date competitively, so it usually means INCREASED Revenues. In the above scenario (these three titles), the HHSE dates will not change the Q3 / Q4 home video / V.O.D. plans.
From HHSE's standpoint, the modest tweaking of release dates by a few weeks - especially when it has no impact on long-term home video and V.O.D. schedules - is an inconsequential change in the ordinary course of business for all indie studios. We don't have the biggest titles, or the biggest marketing campaigns out there... so we must be receptive and responsive to the needs of the major theatre chains. That's how you build (yes, we mean it), a $100-million dollar company... being SMART, being AGGRESSIVE and being RESPONSIVE to customers.
When you look at the emergence of NEW LINE CINEMA, OPEN ROAD FILMS and LIONSGATE, you will see that a company like HANNOVER HOUSE is literally only "one movie away" from being a $100-million dollar company. Will any of our current titles become our "Blair Witch" - or our "Saw" - or our "Nightmare on Elm Street" that changes the company profoundly? With the substantially increased quantity of new releases from HHSE and Medallion, the number of chances have markedly improved!
