Just daydreaming here:
What would happen if India or Brazil or any country reviewed the current literature and trial stats and decided to approve Brialcidin for emergency use and ordered a million doses?
gh
The filing reported 4.97%, not.02% as on TDA or 0% on Schwab.
gh
"institutional ownership" entries for IPIX on both TDAmeritrade and Schweb still does not reflect the updated 5% reality. I have called to both brokers seeking updates. I encourage more squeaky wheels to seek redress. Check your broker's summary info page for IPIX. Would we have gone down 7% yesterday if Kips Bay info was posted.
gh
I have notified TDAmeritrade that they need to update their IPIX summary info to show the new 5% institutional holding that seems important to many of us.
gh
I just wrote to the author giving him links to the 2 most recent PR's. His email address is elie@eliedolgin.com

I'm a retired Batchelor with no dependents. I live within my means, a small pension, and Social Security benefit. IPIX is by far my predominant holding. I have cash in the bank. If IPIX goes to zero, I would have no change in my life other than a major disappointment; I've been invested enthusiastically since 2012 with an average cost basis of $.29.
When I consider other investments, the risk/reward numbers always point me back to IPIX as a better choice. As the price declines and the trial progresses, the question that I face is at what price do I buy More?
gh
How's this for bullish speculation: When the earliest results from the current clinical study come in a few weeks from now, Russia, Brazil, or other desperate countries approve Brilacidin for emergency use ahead of our red tape bound FDA?

Lets light them up!
gh
Thanks Stowe, good find.
I sent to the publisher an encouraging message to check out Brilacidin including links to the 2 most recent press releases from the company. Maybe they will follow up.
gh
The company webpage shows that Leo is a CPA. We pay him well and I trust him to follow the money and the tax implications of the company's activities.
Our vindication, after years of waiting, is within days or weeks of fulfillment.
God Speed Leo.

"Fully agree Jhawker there is an absolute need for a therapeutic especially one that can not only treat COVID-19 but also common viruses. Before I got my two vaccine shots I was desperate for a therapeutic to be on hand and I still think that applies to a lot of the world right now."
I fully agree; once approved, everyone will want to keep a course of treatment in their medicine cabinet.
gh
I didn't say we have toxic debt; we should avoid such debt.
gh
Debt, without the ability to repay, is TOXIC. Bankruptcy is the result; just ask the former owners of Brilacidin.
gh
"Buy the rumor; sell the news,"
Leo, please hold off on any news as long as possible, especially when the SP keeps going up!

mdphd2008 wrote: "...I have purchased my first shares over 10 years ago and for those of us initial believers we are getting much closer to the finish line...Thanks for everyone’s devotion and compassion - newcomers welcome!!"
A small but important correction, we're not getting closer to the FINISH LINE, rather THE WINNER'S CIRCLE!
gh
And a BIG shoutout to KarinCA. When they write the book about the tortuous path of IPIX, she will be prominent.
gh
I posted the following to Wallstreetbets:
"I've been in this since 2012 when they were running a trial at Beth-Israel Hospital in Boston; I saw a story in the NYTimes; I bought it at $1. The secret to their survival over the years has been to not be in debt so they can't be in default and be forced into bankruptcy. IPIX has been the victim of naked shorters and liars. Now they are on the verge of GREATNESS!"
Soon thereafter my post was deleted by a bot and I was banned for 7 days. One of the rules I broke was "no pennies", I mentioned the share price of 25cents. A market cap of a least a billion is required. I broke several rules, but I can still read posts and will.
Comply with the rules if you want to post.

True Longs will be smiling all the way to the bank.
gh
I continue to be optimistic about IPIX and Brilacidin, especially in light of the recent postings by many reminding us of the inspirational career of Dr. DeGrado. If (when) Brilacidin fulfills its remarkable potential, we investors will be generously rewarded.
Can any of us think it impossible that in that case, that capping off the list of accomplishments and honors of Dr. DeGrado could be the Nobel Prize?
I've said it before, "Briliciden is the Penicillin of the 21st Century".
gh
There's plenty of death and doom in the reality of the situation.
gh
In response to:
Disney would be ok, but I'd rather Quentin Tarrantino did it, a bit of violence might spice it up.
I sent them a complaint soon after my first post this morning. In the past I've sent several such complaints about missing PRs; they respond only that they have received them. Today they at least published the PR an hour or so later.
GLTY and all true longs; our time will come,
gh
I don't get IPIX news from TDA; I get the company emails from the company. My complaint is that some uninvested web surfer might not consider investing because that PR was not there when he read the IPIX entry at TDA and might invest if it was.
gh
Blue Fin,
I got the email from IPIX before the open. I was just complaining about TDAmeritrade's lack of diligence in reporting the news. A day and a half later, it's now posted. How many people didn't see it and therefore didn't buy?
gh
When I checked a moment ago, the latest item on my screen was Nov. 16th. It's a mystery to me.
gh
For some reason, TDAmeritrade does not show yesterday's PR on the news listed for IPIX. We get no respect;
gh
At about 10:45 this morning I noted an odd phenomenon regarding the IPIX stock page on both my TDAmerica and Schwab accounts. The current quote was $.17 volume 84,194. I hit the refresh button and the volume changed to 82,792!
How can the volume go down over time?
In this instance, the price did not change but sometimes the price did change as well as the volume decreases.
wtf?
gh
Pete wrote, "So yes, the human trial for CV19 does have some risk, but extremely excellent odds to pass with flying colors. When it shows great results, then IPIX will have won the Super Bowl/Kentucky Derby/ US Open/World Series/Van Cliburn competition or whatever other major competition one could think of."
Whatever? Like the Nobel prize for Dr. DeGrado.
gh
Buchanan was eclipsed 10 years ago.
gh
Leo,
It's my birthday tomorrow; I'm hoping to have a reason to celebrate!
gh
I see the mask issue as irrelevant to the IPIX discussion; it just clutters up the site.
gh
TradingPro,
Are you saying the broker who enabled the shortseller is on the hook? Surely not the unknowing owner of the shares who 'loaned' them to the shortseller.
gh
Don't you think Dr. DeGrado might someone?
gh
TD Ameritrade posted Monday's news on Thursday.
I'm Pissed Off.
gh
How could anyone who is short IPIX be comfortable?
gh
Thanks 1oldprof, I guess I'm too much of a Luddite to tweet. let's hope he investigates and spreads the word on Brilacidin!
gh
Nice find PP
I tried to find the author's email (but could only find his Twitter Handle: @RobertLangreth) in order to update him about Dr. DeGrado. I'm not a Tweeter. Someone who does tweet should contact him and ask him to update his audience about the ongoing evolution of PolyMedics' and Dr. DeGrado's brainchild. His megaphone might be big enough to break the logjam holding IPIX back.
gh
Here Today,
If Brilacidin cures COVID as we hope and pray, what are the odds that COVID is the ONLY virus that it cures?
Now I need to buy more tomorrow. :)
gh
In a few years, there will be books written about IPIX and its tortuous path to fame and fortune. The sooner the better. Im 72 and hope to enjoy the fortune however modest; as well as the vindication. :)
gh
Years ago before the acquisition of Brilacidin I was enthusiastic about Kevetrin and thought that Dr. Menon might win a Nobel Prise for his work. Now when Brilacidin turns out to be the "Penicillin" of the 21st century Dr. DeGrado might win one also.
I can dream, can't I?
gh
I would bet (and hope) that Dr. DeGrado is a shareholder unless he is restrained by some legal prohibition. I can't imagine he would lose interest in his 'baby'.
As a successful and I assume well-paid scientist he could afford a large position. He deserves to be richly rewarded upon the success of Brilacidin. Good luck to him and to all longs.
gh
I don't use Think or Swim, but when I checked on TD Ameritrade's standard IPIX page several times, it was not there yesterday or today. I'm not convinced that it's not without malign intent.
