Veritone surprisingly quiet yesterday on Linkedin. Ask Veri won a NAB award yesterday, but I don't see that anyone posted about it.

New Forbes article
https://www.forbes.com/sites/zengernews/2024/04/16/truth-in-the-signal-veritone-shepherds-epoch-enterprise-empowerment/?sh=2c6681eb2588
Another beef I have. Every time RS is interviewed, half the interview is spent going through the Steelberg history of previous companies. Who f@##ing cares?
"But to not be touting aiWARE at all to me is not a good sign. Also to with CS’s ouster aiWARE development/adoption couldn’t have been going to well. "
There is a chance that aiWare not being touted because it is being integrated into other platforms like Adobe or Amazon Bedrock.
When you think about it, considering Veritone's financial position, and the fact that they threw a good share of their money into HR tech, are they really in the position to be competitive with aiWare as a standalone platform. The likes of Adobe and Amazon have an unlimited supply of money to throw into their platforms. Also, is it reasonable to expect that huge entities like the DOD or DOJ would rely on Veritone for the ongoing servicing and developing of aiWARE. I think any future for aiWare lies in the integration of aiWare capabilities into other platforms, and that could be the reason why Veritone not touting aiWare. Still, need execution and results. The fact that we are still left to speculate is not encouraging at all.
I expected more from the new website. The HR features still direct you to Pando and Broadbean websites. My guess is that the website is a work in progress, but still frustrating. The partner list is the same partner list from back when they had the energy business. That is tacky to me to still be listing the various energy companies as partners. And we know they have a list of HR partners like Linkedin, ADP, Indeed, Bullhorn. Why don't they list those partners on the partner page.
I expected more from AWS at NAB concerning Veritone. We read about GTM plans with AWS. Still nothing for Veritone investors to see.
We shouldn't still have to be digging for information in obscure places. They should be bringing it front and center for all to see.
"seems like aiWARE is low in the stack and vital to AI models running efficiently."
Agree, and like you say, Veritone not interested in pumping the stock.
This article concerning Adobe at NAB, you can see that Adobe has the same aiWARE like ideas for their future.
"Adobe sees a future in which thousands of specialized models emerge, each strong in their own niche. "
https://www.newscaststudio.com/2024/04/15/adobe-generative-ai-adobe-premiere-pro-nab-2024/
You can look at the Amazon Bedrock demonstrations at NAB, and see that they are going in the same direction, all about onboarding third party AI models.
Veritone not interested in touting aiWARE. Apparently have a new version, but don't want anyone to know about it. Took aiWare off AWS marketplace. Don't even have DMH on AWS marketplace.
Well if they don't want to market it, then the benefits of aiWARE should at least show up in revenues and guidance. If they don't want to talk about it AND not showing up in revenues or guidance, then how do you assign any credibility to them.
If aiWare not in the game now, doubt it ever will be. Up to Veritone to Execute.
Maybe it's true what RS says "Demand exploding for aiWare and applications." His words mean nothing anymore. And we got enough of that unsubstantiated BS from CS. Time to Execute.
did you find something new
I see this headline, but cannot bring up the article.
GridBeyond announces €52m in growth financing
Today's reveal was all cosmetic. Nothing coming out of NAB. Next up, earnings call.
Thanks, also new Linkedin sites for Veritone Public Sector, and Veritone Media and Entertainment.
If you go to either Pandologic or Broadbean website, as of today you see a pop-up message that says "We’re pleased to announce that Broadbean is now Veritone Hire!" Have not found anything more though.
Amazon has had major problems with Alexa.
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/04/amazon-virtually-kills-efforts-to-develop-alexa-skills-disappointing-dozens/
cut several hundred Alexa jobs back in November
also since DMH runs on aiWARE, would be interested to know to what extent if any aiWare being used for other AWS offerings.
agree, maybe AWS testing the waters at NAB. Would like to see a branded version of Ask Veri on display at NAB
AWS video
at the 7:43 mark, they start talking about Digital Media Hub, and they have an AWS branded version of Digital Media Hub. Could explain why Digital Media Hub is not on the AWS Marketplace. https://aws.amazon.com/media/nab24-demos/nab24-demos-media-supply-chain-from-live-ingest-to-revenue-generating-highlights-nab-live-workflows-powered-by-aws/
Looks like Veritone has the biggest spot within AWS partner village.
https://nab24.mapyourshow.com/8_0/floorplan/?st=keyword&sv=veritone&hallID=W&selectedBooth=AWS%20Learning%20Lounge%20%2B%20Partner%20Village
Veritone just posted photos of their location.
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7185282207756791808/
Been looking for Ask Veri on website. Don't see it.
Looks like this is running on aiWARE
https://benji.health/
Owned by Gulf Capital
Remember when CS was at that Gulf Capital meeting

bring back the old one.
new website up
And I want to see a strategic partner or partners behind this.
That is some crazy shit if they dropped 52M on Broadbean, and are all alone in this venture.
"Get ready to experience cutting-edge advancements in hiring technology as Broadbean and PandoLogic become one. Stay tuned for more exciting updates next week as our teams have been collaborating this past year on this exciting partnership! "
Regarding todays PR, Veritone has been talking about this a year ago.
https://www.veritone.com/blog/google-analytics-4-ga-4-is-coming-why-broadcasters-should-move-now-and-how-to-prepare/
Regarding the mentioning of Google.
I'm obviously no expert, but the issue is that Google is adding privacy enhancements, and getting rid of cookies.
Cookies help provide insights into customer online behavior. Google interested in privacy for web surfers instead of being tracked. Veritone is providing a way to still measure advertising attribution despite Google efforts to provide privacy enhancements.
OK, from the job description.
Where did you learn about Veritone Hire Technology?
Right, we will see what they have for us next week. There should be all kinds of new partners and integrations. And still need to do something about that balance sheet.
By now, it should be common to see
third party applications running on aiWare, if there was any accuracy to CS tipping point statements.
Don't even announce the new version of aiWare.
Next week with the new website, the website should reveal a ton of stuff that we were not even aware of. I say "should".
THE GLOBAL LEADER IN PROVIDING SOPHISTICATED, EASY-TO-USE CANDIDATE SOURCING TOOLS
Have to remember, Veritone called aiWare the leading enterprise AI platform.
But next week needs to be more than a new website, logo, and marketing message.
It has been 10 months since the Broadbean acquisition. Should have accomplished a lot more than just cosmetics.
But then again, in early 2023 they came out with Veritone Generative AI. Why did it take them a year for Ask Veri.
They used to say how easy it was to add applications onto the aiWare platform. Recall they said they put Illuminate together in 3 months or less, can't remember. Now days it takes them a year to come out with stuff.
They either execute, or have market forces execute for them.
Getting down to do or die time. Guess we will see what they have next week.
If targeting all industries, how are they prepared to have applications available for all industries? Unless something we don't know about.
I agree that it looks like a commercial. And when I think about it as a commercial, and this video alludes to all ecosystem categories, DMH, also Veritone Hire, and Public sector (Idems) and also says they can help with whatever industry you are in.
Looks like targeting enterprise AI in general.
Yeah, if AWS has any interest in helping their partner,
there should be an AWS NAB PR tomorrow.
I think next week's coming out party for Veritone Hire, and the new website will
reveal whether they have anything or not.
new video
https://vimeo.com/930301608
Yeah but RS says grossly undervalued. That ought to make you rest easy. lol
Hope so.
Only thing I found interesting today is SVP of R&D Pando leaving. Been with Pando from the start.
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7183466254920265729/
Also, if new version of aiWARE and AWS integrating it into some of their M&E offerings,
then why limit it to Media and Entertainment. Could be applying integration to other verticals.
And stated before, Deloitte AIOPS.D came onto AWS Marketplace at the same time.
.Doesn't even say to call us about options or go to our latest version.
Can't keep it a secret forever. If GTM plans with AWS, then should be more info on this soon, maybe this week leading up to NAB.
As we know, when you go to AWS Marketplace
and do a search for Veritone, the only product available is Veritone Investigate.
But if you do a Google search for "AWS Marketplace aiWARE" you can still find the link for aiWARE on AWS.
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-6skdzwxgierty
But now it says:
This version of Veritone aiWARE Operating System for Artificial Intelligence - SaaS is not available to new customers.
The new aiWARE release notes also refer to, and separate out release notes for "current version" and "previous version"
So it looks like there is a new version of aiWARE. But why is the "new version" not listed on AWS Marketplace?
You mentioned Mary Palmer from AWS.
She also posted this about Ateliere Creative Technologies. She refers to them as a strategic partner.
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7177098916130164737/
On March 12, Ateliere issued this PR on World Poker Tour.
https://www.ateliere.com/news/world-poker-tour-moves-media-supply-chain-to-ateliere
Veritone announced earnings on March 12, and in the earnings call, RS mentioned World Poker Tour.
Their tech sounds similar to aiWare. https://www.ateliere.com/news/industry-first-end-to-end-generative-ai-media-supply-chain
signed 5 year agreement with AWS https://www.ateliere.com/news/strategic-collaboration-agreement-with-aws
Seems that Veritone is getting cozy with a lot of AWS partners.
OK, but taking out a usury loan, they sure haven't shown any sense of urgency to get things rolling with Veritone Hire, or aiWare.
Again, despite the unattractive debt financing, they sure don't appear desperate for survival.
