sounds like the review was from a machead. i would call that a good review. slammed the voicenav a bit and the no mac support (who cares, small market).
"but for $150 less i'll take it" BOTTOM LINE! eom
i hope your right but i have been dissappointed before. i do have over 142,500 shares riding on you and me being right.
i'll assume edig is not involved in the hd100 from digitalway until i see a PR (if we are not involved i will sell all my shares and promise, really, to never post again).
EXCELLENT! EOM
matt:i will never pay to become a member as long as you allow the constant repetitive agenda driven bashing posts of the likes of butanyway ect (who are PROFESSED NON-SHAREHOLDERS) to permeate this board. the reason i started posting here and have considered membership is to discuss edigs potential as a SHAREHOLDER. we know the stock is risky and we know we could lose our entire investment. we dont need to be beaten over the head with it.
i'd be p issed if i paid to be part of this forum. this trial period has let me know we have another RB on its way. a totally useless forum.
Gilg-what do you mean by this?>"Furthermore, as you aptly observe, 0-1000Comparing the 0-1000 with Creative's Zen, and Evolution's APD-15 and APD-30 is like comparing a FERRARI with a Ford...
the competition seems very comparable if not better in size and weight. I dont have an 01K so please tell me (i'm serious).
austonia may be a basher but these new evolution players with 15 and 30 gb at a $269 price point certainly seem to be stiff competition. i am very concerned as it seems the odyssey 1000 is too large overpriced and getting superceded by the likes of evolution even before we have seen what the large CE companies will come up with. I disagree with his obvious agenda but the concern about the competition seems valid.
the RIAA will not defeat the free music movement. they had a chance and ignored it hoping the "problem" would somehow go away. i still cannot believe they think that can compete with "free" if they even tried.
on reading austonias review it would appear the 01k is a player in the middle of the pack territory. The player is heavier and bigger than most of the models listed as well. does anybody else have comparisons?
ah yes Tony Clifton the Latka alter-ego LOL eom
any good o-1k reviews or are u guys busy selling your shares? TIA
RB bashers are already peppering walt mossberg with "shareholder" e-mails hoping to p iss him off enough to give the Odyssey 1000 a bad review. i dont follow any other stock that has such a p issed off former long/ basher scene. unreal.
the APS billy boyer/Alaska Airlines bag handler dd has got me rattled for sure. A weekend tinkerer IFE "partner" seems like a long shot doomed to fail for sure. i hope the o-1K gets a good review.
a REAL good review & 16-17c./sh i'll buy more edig but i have learned not to get my hopes up too soon with edig. the stock has just popped and when it settles back down i'm for more.
ot-D.inkie-identity theft ruins peoples lives.if a company is determined to have saved a few bucks by not buying "reasonable" security measures for online commerce they should face a penalty. the stakes are far too high. if your identity is taken and thousands of $ are purched in your name you will spend YEARS trying to prove it was not you. the mental and physical toll is terrible.
paid downloads will NEVER compete with free. i use morpheaus and the downloads sound like cd quality and you can get many versions of artists songs. the service is flawless. the only thing i can think the record companies could do is use higher fidelity codecs (however most home, car, portable players cannot play these formats unless they use a DSP that is upgradable).
thanks trend.sounds like a conf call summary. they still need to begin to execute. my guess is we'll see some PPS improvement only when a major name becomes an OEM. duh.
and see if is any good firsthand. that is reason enough to buy a product from the company you invest in. i was going to replace my clunky MD player anyway. just like the old lady shoppers investment club.
i download to PUNISH the pathetic RIAA which has failed to introduce alternatives dispite there being technology available. this has lead to the destruction of many companies business plans and hurt our investment. we have a solution to their market erosion they just dont want it.
DABOSS-the reason is high quality. you really can hear the difference. i also think that the lables should pursue the file sharing networks and should be allowed to try to corrupt and disrupt their service. You dont drink water out of a stream because it may be contanimated with bacteria just as you should not download music free off the internet as it may contain a virus.
i dont know ANYONE who buys there music. why buy it when it is available for free. i know parents who, when bugged by their kids for music, instruct them to get it on the internet. i dont blame the internet- i blame the pathetic music companies who tried to ignore downloading and have, even today, failed to introduce alternatives. Why ar'nt these guys recording music with the advanced codecs? The sound quality is FAR superior to "cd quality". When music is first recorded in the studio it is actually done in a much higher fidelity than the early 80s cd technology can replicate. Why dont the record companies use the advanced codecs with DRMs to SELL the FAR superior sound quality. then maybe consumers would pay for their music rather than download cr appy free mp3s? F the record companies they have hurt this company and many others with their short sightedness and hope it costs them another 10% of their business this year.
i saw the E-Gear SRS edig full page ad at my barber shop (pretty progressive barbershop, LOL). All i have to say is NICE!
i was recently on an American Airlines flight and i ordered a diet coke. this was no regular diet coke it was "coke light". it tasted better than any diet coke i have ever had. it had that regular coke taste but was still 0 calories. the point is the IFE will introduce people to the technology and i would not be surprised if they want a consumer version.
imo most of edigs volume is day and momo traders (who could care less about the prs potential) not "investors". Also, i dont deny the possibility that some of those companies who we have provided shares as payment for goods and services may be taking this opportunity to sell.
i would buy more here if i had the coin. this is good news not bad.
odd-seems to be more selling since the PR. sooner or later it will pan out, if they dont run out of money first.
this portalplayer announcement is like insider info for those who have followed edig. very good news imo.
Sentinal-imo not many people follow portalplayer not to mention edig. many would not invest in edig even if they did based on the otc:bb listing and mis-steps. I think this is the best news of the ces so far for edig and i am glad to have confirmation of the e-mail michael mania sent me from portalplayer. i think this clears up much of the specualtion about the value of edigs tech. as it is further validated by a third party.
I hope Portalplayer makes an announcement re:edig as this e-mail seems to indicate.>
We have an MOU with e.Digital as a key partner in our Certified Third Party Development Program. There will be no official press announcement until CES time in January.

Subject: re: e.Digital
Hello- I have been following this technology for several years and i would like to know if you have a new agreement with a company called e.Digital (as they assert). Any other details you could provide or if you will issue a PR to affirm this would be appreciated.
thank you-
Falk, Putnum and Chairman Diaz own edig shares.
ot:the real story on RB is the INSANE 24/7 basher frenzy. imagine reading that board for the first time. LOL.
sure beats bankruptcy and the loss of all shareholder investment.
CDR-that post is pure hype. Investment banking friends who have information! LOL.
if the entities that edig has been selling shelf shares were all selling (i assume the shares are unrestricted) the PPS would be 5c./sh. with all the recent mis-steps there has got to be almost zero interest from new investors. there has been 8million shelf shares sold and no news strong enough to support the sale of even half of that.
Daboss-yikes MSFT traded @3/8!dump that turd never make a dime.
the shareholders are crazy cultists too.
i think exposure at the CES with Digitalway being a seller of the o-1k and maybe an oem as well will help th pps. the shelf shares get them there then perhaps, if the o-1k reviews well, the pps may see some small gains. when a few quarters of good revenue growth come the pps should respond better. a portalplayer/edig music/video platform announced at the ces with an oem would also help the pps. on the other hand the 01k could get panned by walt mossberg or edig could run out of money to continue as a going concern. the intellectual property would then go to the bondholders first scr ewing out the equity investor. shareholder lawsuits would be chasing scraps. risk and reward.
latter from prez said merry christmas. they are done with PRs for the year imo. I would expect a pr before the CES Jan 9-12.
licensing microos to portalplayers customers as a "key partner"
should help the pps "soon".
