We also have to keep in mind the company laid off several people during the downtime/mill upgrade. Here are last year's totals:
- Strip, Quarry, Open Pit employees down 7
- Plant employees down 13
- Office Workers at Mine Site down 1
I'm not sure what the impact is with running the mill with less than optimal workers but it would naive to think there isn't an impact. If they're pressing forward shorthanded tasks will take longer. If they're hiring more people, they have to train them and tasks will take longer.
I just wanted to point this out and look at things from a different angle. I've seen this 9 Apr date a few times now and I'm not really sure where it came from. We don't have all the facts and don't know what exactly is going on at the mill. Would like to avoid an iHub revolt if 9 Apr comes and goes without a milestone being met.

Although PS doesn't require it the company is going to provide audited financials. We've heard this could take up to 2 months :(
Thank you for the update Candy B!
-Lucky
Do we have any details on the Massey contract? I'd like to know how many years the company is required to sell at this discounted rate.
-Lucky
Thanks Colorado! I'll check it out.
I agree, it's very active indeed.
-Lucky
Funny that you posted this... After Candy B provided us with a list of pits I decided I’d do some more digging to see what I could come up with. Here is what I found:
The DOGM# helps you navigate the DOGM site which isn’t very intuitive to say the least :)
The O.K. Pit: A request was received on 31 Aug 2009 and approved on 10 Feb 2010. Description of the proposed mining operation: “WUCC will improve existing roadways into the bottom of the OK mine by removing the slough from the roadways that has collected due to weather erosion. A portion of this slough is ore and will be removed for metallurgical testing.“
https://fs.ogm.utah.gov/FILES/MINERALS/PERMITS/001/S0010078/2010/NOI/02102010/0001.pdf
I couldn’t find any mention of the Candy B, Copper Ranch, Sun Rise or Eagle pits (which explains why there is no DOGM #s in the chart above). This is probably because there is no active mining taking place in these areas at this time.

Can't wait to see the shorting numbers for today.

Here is the link to that video.
I just wanted to add to private_wealth's statement:
"he screwed A LOT of people" that sold their stock.

WOW! Nice to wake up and see this take off! Glad to see the PR was finally released and not a sole on iHub has torn it apart. Congrats to the longs that have stuck it out and braved the rollercoaster ride.
Colorado1, I think there are just a few more items we could add to your list. Not all should be considered a Major issue but if left unchecked they could certainly become a serious problem.
- CuCon Buyer: We need to have a signed long term contract. IMO I think this isn’t going to be a problem but then again Murphy has kicked us in the pants several times throughout the start-up phase.
- CuCon Moisture: Until we hear otherwise, I believe this could be an issue that’ll affect our future deliver schedule. We’re in luck! Winter is almost over so we’ll have 3 seasons to “figure” this out. I just hope it’ll be addressed before next winter.
- Water System Improvements: This is a very small milestone but the mill needs more water to operate efficiently. I‘m glad to see they’ve modified their plan and are working to get more wells installed.
- Tailings pond: Something that absolutely has to be done for the company to move forward!
o We’ve already received a fine ($3410 on 10 Feb 2010)

o https://fs.ogm.utah.gov/FILES/MINERALS/PERMITS/001/M0010067/2010/Outgoing/0003.pdf
- Nevada Star suit: We haven’t heard any details about this for a very long time. Would be nice to know what’s going happening on this front.
IMHO the leadership shake up is exactly what was needed to get the company back on track.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s interview with CAM on the Chippas show!
GO CPRK and GO LONG!

It's not that I don't believe you but as you know (after following this board for the past 6 month's) a lot of poo gets thrown around here.
You're a first time poster but you also gave several very specific data points on what to expect. I like that and can't wait for the PR to see it confirmed :)
-Lucky
Welcome the fox 52! Boy you sure know how to make an entrance! Some very interesting news you've shared. Could you go a step further and share with us how you know these details?
Thanks,
Lucky
Oh, I have no idea what the Vat is made out of...
It was just nice to see a few pics showing they've made progress in this area.
Trust but verify!
-Lucky
I'd prefer the PR come out today. If it doesn't then there will be too much speculation on Monday if we're in for another PR rope-a-dope. I'd like to avoid that if possible.
I'm with "Doc" (from the Chippas Show), I'm tired of hearing could, could, could... "they got to start producing copper and start to deliver!", no more talking, execute!
BTW - CM said during the interview that he hoped the PR would be out Thursday but time past. Which means Legal is reviewing the PR and if there is a 2 day turn around for the PR Legal review we should see it Monday and no later.
To steal a line from Jerry Maguire "Show me the COPPER!!!"
-Lucky
After a quick skim it wasn't as good as I originally hoped. But there were a few good take aways:
"Concentrates are scheduled to be loaded daily from the concentrate bunker into trucks using a small front-end loader. The mill is scheduled to operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week." (page 8)
The rest appears to be CPRK's response to DOGM's tailing issue. Glad to see they have a plan and are working it to completion.
The last few pages document a Cedar City field office meeting.
-Lucky
Perpare to get goosebumps...
I haven't read the enitre document yet but it's looking good so far!

Wow, almost 90%... CRAZY!
One of these days a PR will be released and it'll blow them out of the water. Till then I'll dream about coloring in my last X.
-Lucky
dent1, I think you're missing the point here. The people reading iHub can decide for themselves to take his word or not.
I personnally believe him, we've seen the progress the mill has made over the past few weeks. It's no surprise to us. But what about those not reading the posts here? Would anyone else know and today's start up? No, they'd need a PR. Also, I'm sure there are people on the sidelines waiting to see if the mill starts up again... it's gonna get interesting really quick once that PR is released.
-Lucky
Just don't want folks to get upset when reports come out that we're now producing CuCon and not shipping because of this issue.
-Lucky
I couldn't agree more djr63. We NEED an official PR from the company until then it's just hearsay.
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to hear the mill is up and running again but that could mean SO many different things. Is it just the ball mill, flotation tanks, etc.. Are we producing CuCon? If so, is it still wet?
I think we're still a ways off from those answers and us seeing truck deliveries.
Just trying to be realistic here :(
-Lucky
It's just good for folks to read the actually doc vs. what people post here. This forum has gotten a TON better tho :)
-Lucky
Yes, I read the info provided in the link.
-Lucky
I wish it were for permit fees! It turns out this check is paying off a fine placed on the company last month.

I'm a glass is half full kinda guy... At least they paid the fine... :)
-Lucky
Not that I know of... In the past I've used www.imageshack.com to host the file as a .gif or jpeg then inserted it as an image here on iHub. Not the best option I know but it works.
-Lucky
No updates on the OGM site. It's been my experience that it takes awhile for them to scan and upload documents. I've seen it take as long as two weeks. Let's hope that's not the case this time.
-Lucky
RW, I don't think it's about them not "liking" your videos, it's probably more about what their lawyers are telling them...
That being said, it's sad to hear we'll no longer be able to get videos of the mill. I like to read all about the continuing efforts being made - the enhancements, the restart, "functioning" equipment, viewing the open pit, etc... but seeing is believing! I know this goes a long way in helping prospective investors decide on whether or not to invest in CPRK. I guess we'll just have to get more pictures from here on out.
-Lucky
Welcome back JIT, glad to hear you made a safe drive home. This is great news indeed!
Thanks for taking the time to visit the mill and bring us back info. Can't wait to see your pics!
-Lucky
I found this a curious and informative read: (User Name and Password = ogmguest)
https://fs.ogm.utah.gov/FILES/MINERALS/PERMITS/001/M0010067/2010/Incoming/0005.pdf
Could it be that the reason why the mill isn't running is because they need this permit? It's just a question, I frankly have no idea if it impacts the on-going efforts to restart the mill or not.
Thoughts?
Lucky
FFF, thanks for holding their feet to the fire!
Despite what's taken place in the past with CPRK, I'd be really surprised if they went this far with PS compliance and then did NOT provide the rest of the required documentation to get the stop sign removed. (JMO)
Lucky
Another awesome close! Congrats to everyone that's been on this train and hold on tight! :)
Thanks for the tip! How much does the wire service run you?
-Lucky
LOL, I've been here all along, just not much to say. The last month or so has felts like being in the ring at a UFC fight. We've been beat up fairly well but things appear to be getting better. We just need to get that stop sign removed (I understand it's pratically a done deal), fire up the mill, and get them trucks on the road again!
I'd absolutely love to fill in that last X! At this point I have no plans on attending the JUST SHOW UP event but if we get LTF that could change things :)
I'm also in the process of re-funding my Zecco account and will be averaging down again next week. It's always nice to get those "cheapies"!!
-Lucky
Awesome to see this turn around. I know we're not out of the woods yet but we have some breathing room now :)
I recently ask Charles about the company's status on becoming fully reporting after a poster said the financial team quit. Here is his response:
" We are working on the internal portion of the task and the outside people did not quit, they were fired...
CAM "
Now, take that for what it's worth. I'm going to have to see a lot of truth behind what he says before I can trust him fully again (i.e. some results).
Now if I had to guess when in 2010, I'd say Jun - Jul time frame. That's a 3-4 month slip from when it was expected.
~Lucky
So you're saying the company added shares today?
Here a recent update from the OGM site:

I switched to Zecco a few months ago. Ally is right and I couldn't be happier with them.
