Been doing great, Missy. Thanks for the song. The version you played is an alternate-take without the background vocals that were on the original album version. Nice to hear Elvis' voice all by itself ... :)

Now, where do I find a Commander?
Ksquared, have I ever divulged that my initial of 'C' stands for 'Commander'? ... <g>

I can barley spell my name, and sometimes I mess that up too.
if this is any constellation
As the old folks would say, "My stars!"
Okay, Missy, please go and ahead and give Jack Jones' Wives And Lovers a spin. It's a song from around 1963 when I was a college fella and the coeds loved Jack Jones. The lyrics are considerably outdated, and I'm curious what a thoroughly modern lady such as yourself thinks of them ... :)
Justin
Missy,
A couple of requests, please ...

Request ... Elvis Presley - Run On ... This 1966 recording is believed to be Elvis' only attempt at doing a rap song ... :)

Ditto Securesources' comments on your Elvis CDs.
A request: the From Elvis In Memphis CD. It's an excellent album from his 1969 recording sessions in which he recorded Suspicious Minds, In The Ghetto, etc. Any Day Now is one of my favorite tracks on the album.
TIA, Missy.
Thanks for the Elvis hits CD, Missy. I don't think I had ever heard this particular compilation of his songs from 1962 to the end of his career. Is there a companion CD covering the early part of his career?
I actually owned Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" album, so I must've been a fan at one time. The cover had Glen on a horse in a rhinestone-studded suit, and I later gave it away as a white-elephant gift at a Christmas party -- kinda wish I hadn't done that. <g>
Song request: Glen Campbell's Rhinestone Cowboy
Wonder what type of music this guy listens to at work?
Vintage Glen Campbell, with "Wichita Lineman" high on the playlist?
Missy, a Christmas-song request ...

It's miles per gallon...
Exactamente, Ksquared. To determine the fuel cost of driving a fixed number of miles, it's the number of gallons consumed for that distance regardless of the speed traveled or the time consumed. Of course to get a fair fuel-cost comparison for different speeds, other variables like average wind conditions and grade of the highway would have to be equal for each time the fixed distance were driven.
But if we were to talk about bullriding and cattle feed, I would have to defer to Phil ... <g>

My Buick Regal hit 8 years, 85,000 miles in May. Decided to keep it one more year, a decision that has been costly so far with big repairs for the a/c and starter/ignition. Still runs well though.
I'm still scootin' along, happy to be in Houston and not New Orleans or Biloxi.
Glad to see you're still in good spirits, Ksquared.
Justin
Ksquared, did your venerable Buick enter into a well-deserved retirement? There's gotta be a story there ... <g>
"Didn't have a healthy end of the year ..."
Ksquared, hope you're doing better by now and are able to keep a log on the fire. Sounds as if you'll be getting a heavy dose of winter this weekend.
Keep us posted. Miss your writings when you're not here.

Welcome back from your winter break, Ksquared.
