Golds s-t washout manipulation over, huge 3 week rally now.
basser/Gold COT's:
1) You blatantly misquoted me in referencing my post;
2) If a trade is early (seems 6-12 months by gold commercials), they are as dead as being wrong;
3) Do you have the capacity to read the WEEKLY LONG-TERM chart Saville references (down the page), the timeframe YOU reference? It shows "gold commercials" rountinely are heavy holders of puts GOING INTO upmoves, and calls GOING INTO downmoves. Let me interpret that for you, they lost huge sums of money in the process.

As i have contended all along, the commercials in gold are always wrong.

BB,
Get Real!
The COT's are ALWAYS early, but rarely wrong!!!!!
That they ALWAYS fade the trend doesn't automatically make them wrong. That is their modus operendi. Period!
Don't bother re-showing that outdated chart you usually provide when you make this misguided assertaion."

BEIRUT, Lebanon - (AP) The Arabic satellite channel Al-Jazeera aired a video of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahri on Wednesday, and an accompanying audiotape attributed to al-Zawahri called on Iraqi guerrillas to "bury" American troops in Iraq (news - web sites).
"We salute the mujahedeen brothers in Iraq and press on their hands and ask Allah to bless their sacrifices and valor in fighting the Crusaders," the voice on the tape said.
Al-Jazeera said the video footage was produced in late April or early May.
"We tell you that Allah is with you and the (Islamic) nation supports you. Depend on Allah. Devour the Americans just like the lions devour their prey. Bury them in the Iraqi graveyard

Bert,
Please share those monthly golds sell signals with us when appropriate.
Thanks
Bert, r.e. golds.
It is refreshing to see you bullish on golds, as as I remember in the old Silicon Investor days you were correctly bearish on them when they were going down.
Small golds starting to vibrate. We are approaching confluence of 4 and 8 month cycles, peaking October 13th.
Last time we had these conditions was May/June of 2002, when most all of the micros went 2-3X in 6 weeks or less.

I am well aware of the "interesting" political environ in the Philippines.
Benguet is privately held, and controlled by their modern day Vanderbilts and Carnegies, who are so deeply politically entrenched, that I have no concern. Check them out:

Bernard, two questions? Is BENGF under Phillipino control?Have you ever been to the Phillipines?"
peace_2_all BENGF and CUSIF
BENGF.ob, huge reserves cheap:
25 lbs copper and 2 grams gold for each USD $.11 share of Benguet.
Something tangible to relate to at Benguet.
KingKing cost ECO $25MM in exploration and drilling. Lost it back to Benguet.
Mineable reserves are 25 lbs of copper and 1/14th oz. of gold per each $ 0.11 share of total stock float.
Is it cheap? Try the math.

Phase 1 Drill Program Completed and New Targets Identified on Buck Claims
VANCOUVER, BC, Aug. 18, 2003 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Bright Star Ventures Ltd. (TSX-V: BSV) is pleased to announce that it has completed Phase 1 of its drilling program on the Western portion of the DP Zone. This drill-tested portion of the DP Zone is in a 50%-50% joint venture with Cusac Gold Mines Ltd.
Phase 1 is comprised of 4 drill holes to test the sheared western margin of the Tulameen ultramafic complex in holes DP2003-07, 08, 09 and 10. Drill hole DP2003-07 tested a deep-seated IP chargeability feature in gabbro and magnetite-rich hornblende clinopyroxenite. Hole DP2003-08 tested the same western margin of the complex 185 meters along strike to the northwest from drill hole DP2003-07, while DP2003-09 tested the same anomaly 481 meters along strike to the northwest from DP2003-07. The average length of each hole was approximately 500 ft.
All of these holes intersected medium to coarse-grained gabbro and hornblende clinopyroxenite. Hole DP2003-10 tested Cu-PGE mineralization mapped in outcrop and located between holes DP2003-07 and DP2003-08. Sulphide mineralization associated with a silicified and brecciated felsic dike was intersected in hole DP2003-10.
Last year, Bright Star discovered the DP Zone in the hornblende clinopyroxenites on the western fringe of the Tulameen ultramafic complex. The DP Zone has a strike length of greater than 1 kilometer (open) with widths between 50-150 meters and a central core of 35% magnetite. Over 500 soil and rock samples have shown consistent Cu-PGE occurrences in the area of the DP Zone, including a 1 meter bedrock chip sample assaying 2.08 g/t PGE's with up to 1% copper in the soil samples. Broad coincident zones of bedrock copper have been outlined on surface while deep penetrating IP surveys have tested these anomalies at depth

GOLD/EURO
I have noticed over the years, when the Japanese are not happy with YEN/$, part of the "adjustment process" on BOJ's behalf is to slam gold to make the buck look stronger.
This is temporary in affect, and gold stocks know it (see they are up), in that we are in a competitive currency devaluation climate between major currencies right now.

This time around here are my plays:
GSS 3.73 - Have had since 1.20 last Nov., see 6-7 this year
CUSIF 0.27 - Ditto at .18, see .75 this year.
VGZ 4.23 - Ditto at 2.88, see 7 this year.
BGO 2.17 - Ditto at 1.23, see 3-4 this year.
CALVF 0.24 +0.00 - Ditto at .15, see $1 this year.
BENGF 0.11 - Ditto at .08, see .50-75 this year.
CUSIF.ob and BENGF.ob are least followed laggards and most likely to fly over the next 6 weeks, 3x's both. Go look what they did Q2 of 2002 in May.

Neocons Admit They’ve Blown It – Is The Draft Next?
By Paul Craig Roberts
Do you remember the ridicule neocons heaped on critics who predicted a quagmire in Iraq?
Now neocons William Kristol and Robert Kagan are calling for more troops and more money - two more army divisions and another $60 billion to be exact.
“Next spring, if disaster looms,” they write, “it may be too late.” [Do What It Takes in Iraq Weekly Standard, by William Kristol and Robert Kagan, September 01, 2003]
John McCain, who experienced, but has forgotten, the Vietnam quagmire has taken the bait and is urging Bush to send more troops.
But there are no troops to send. The Pentagon doesn’t know where it is going to get the troops to carry on the occupation of Iraq at the present level of troop strength. The Associated Press reports that our combat troops are going to be saddled with back-to-back assignments to overseas hotspots.
Army officials are concerned that they are going to begin losing many sergeants and junior officers. Officers in infantry divisions are scrambling to find other military jobs that are not subject to overseas deployment.
Meanwhile, the handful of neocons who got our country into this growing mess are still talking about the U.S. invading other Middle Eastern countries as part of their program to deracinate Islam.
On top of it all, neocons want to take on North Korea, whose army outnumbers ours two to one.
Bush is trying to get other countries to send their soldiers to occupy Iraq. So far success has eluded him. Other countries don’t like to tell us “no” repeatedly. They say they have to have the cover of the UN, which the neocons intended to keep out. The UN would likely get in the way of the neocons’ plan to use Iraq as a staging ground for invading Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.
Bush, however, is getting desperate. As our soldiers are pushed off the streets of Iraq and congregate behind hopefully impenetrable barricades, Bush might have to let the UN rescue him on its own terms.
The UN should not do so, however, without a firm understanding that it is not freeing up US troops for an attack on another Middle Eastern country.
If you think about it, you will realize that the neocons’ war plans are taking us back to the draft. There’s no way around it. Lacking sufficient military forces to occupy Iraq with its small population of 25 million, what would we do once neocons get us mired down in Iran or Egypt with

Yes those were non-American deaths, although US losses were considerably larger than those taken so far in Iraq if memory serves.
That war was conducted with great brutality by the Americans. Sort of a "pre-Vietnam Vietnam"

The US colonial conquest of the Phillipines a century ago was very bloody. The Phillipine death toll has been estimated as high as 200,000. Of course that is just a trivial detail to the Likudnik neo-cons.
George..HUI, mid-afternoon lull before HUI rally into close.
Only thing held gold back today was a hard slam on the early noon holiday close. Funny, it all happened 8 minutes before closing shop for three days, in one big whack (I bet it was the Japanese, trying to keep dollar up).
Otherwise we would be breaking for 430.

It as THE MAJOR MULTI-YEAR SUPPORT level, for 3 years, before it broke down and started a 4 year bear in gold.
It will become support after it is broken...........small cap golds are trading at about 20% of their value last time gold steadied over 376."

Good hold until October 13th.
Micro golds about to catch up with majors, many will go 3X in weeks.
HUI will probably hit 200 by the close Friday."
melsup - GSS, go look at bighcarts.com 10 year chart of GSS...........there are no historical price resisitance/ levels left for GSS until it reaches its' previous support/breakdown level at 4.70-5.00.
Most of the smaller golds are in the same situation. CUSIF.ob just broke a bull flag at .30, with no resistance until it reches .76-.80ish. BENGF.ob moves 3 cents and it is a 3X, same reason.
This is perfect setup, same as 2002. In April/May these laggards went 3x.
CUSIF.ob abd BENGF.ob are about to scream to catch up with leaders GSS and BGO, next 4 weeks.

Bernard, on GSS -
Thanks. I still need to take at least some money off the table.
Why $5? Stock has already cleared any resistance at $2.2. Do you base $5 on anticipated POG?
melsup/GSS has blue sky to $5.
I loaded the boat in November at 1.20.
Gold 376 will be traumatic for hedgers and shorts.
It as THE MAJOR MULTI-YEAR SUPPORT level, for 3 years, before it broke down and started a 4 year bear in gold.

HUI will probably hit 200 by the close Friday.
AMEX - anyone getting any fills?
Small golds started to rip loose of their moorings yesterday. Close last night....
GSS 3.38 -0.02 (-0.59%)
CUSIF 0.285 +0.005 (+1.79%)
BENGB 0.105 +0.015 (+16.67%)
BGO 2.08 +0.05 (+2.46%)
CALVF 0.30 +0.01 (+5.26%)
VGZ 4.28 +0.15 (+3.63%)
Let's see how much they fly this morning.
We have at least 6 more weeks of this action.....Sept.22-Oct.4
GSS has been a great earner. I am up almost 3x (a triple) in it since just last November. 1.18 to 3.50ish.
GSS over the past 3 years has led CUSIF.ob and BENGE.ob by 3 to 4 weeks.
I expect these to two catch up with GSS over the next 6 weeks, or a 2.5-3X in each of them.
Gold will break $400 in the next 3-5 weeks as it completes 4 month and 8 month simulaneous cycle bull upthrusts, and your man on the street will be in shock at what he is missing, really jacking these stock prices up.

Gold Stocks.....things are heating up, great close yesterday.
These and cash are my postions since the lows last November. I expect to average a 3X from here, by the of end Sept., with gold 450ish.
GSS 3.18 +0.08 ( +2.58% )
CUSIF 0.275 +0.01 ( +3.77% )

Dear basser,
BENGB.on went to BENGE.ob because they used a certain Big 5 auditing firm, which was recently fired because of involvement in Enron et. al. scandals, and the new audtior is getting up to speed on their books.
The E designation means they are late at the SEC.
They have already filed in their home country.
As to where it is going, I see no resistance from .125 up to 1.20, or a 9X.
