Train guy, mountain bike racing is a different variety than what you're refering to.
Zeev: Check out the map of the race course http://www.grannygear.com/Assets/Images/Maps/moab_topo_1998.gif
Next race is in Temecula Ca. Not on the list yet, it's a new event. I'll be putting together a team in the Mens Master division if you're interested. 45 years and up. It's a blast, and as risky as the market!
Chateau Mouton? well hell at least your spending your money on the good stuff.
Different kind of thrill than heading down a treacherous downhill on your Cannondale, maneuvering between boulders, trees, dropoffs, cliffs and other riders. But that Bud Lite does taste good at the finish!
No Zeev, I missed IBM. But had a helluva a time in Moab, Utah. What a rush taking off in pitch blackness on a 15 mile Mountain bike run. Excruciating climbs, steep decents, precipitous downhills. What a rush. And at my age!
Do you do anything to stay fit? Exercise machine or something? Do you ever spend any of the money you're making?
Just curious?
Hey, are there any Mountain Bike enthusiasts out there? Just back from the 24 hour race in Moab, Utah. Damn near killed me but what a BLAST!
64% cash? Damn, did you miss yesterdays Bear bash? Oh well can't win them all.
Zeev, if you're making $21 a share on one stock you are trading, you are awesome!
Why don't you quit stressing for a day or two and leave the computer alone. get out in the fresh air and chill, man.
80 this afternoon Zeev, Stayed even. How's your tan?
Zeev, 79 this morning. Going for the second round. Personal best 76. See ya this evening.
Jiminees glad I'm in cash. IBM $55.00 whats up with that?
Zeev: Whether you make money or not is unclear to me. If you wanted us to know you would chart things so we could understand the flow a little better.
I for one would like to know real percentage gains or losses on your daytrading forays. I'm sure you won't show us that info. We'll focus mostly on the big catches I guess.
Trade away! I'm hitting the links. down to an 8 handicap. What's yours Zeev? Oh maybe you never see the sun. SORRY.
Train Guy: I'm a shitty trader. Too lazy.
Does zeev make any money doing this? How much?
Zeev: I only see you provide links to the posts where you are right. (VBG). And when you don't like what we are saying we ar "reading challenged". (VBG)
Zeev: Are you saying the reading challenged are the only posters who have trouble following your calls?
Marv:
I'm glad I am not the only reading challenged poster who has LOST money following Zeev's mid-term calls.
Oh well, my money and I'll lose it any way I want. If Zeev helps me, SO BE IT.
TXU AYE Hmmmmmm
Good question from Hank. Got a guess?
Zeev: I golfed today. Cost me 2.5 k Oh well.
Do you ever leave your computer. Just curious?
Dumped my QLGC @20.50 for a $2.5k loss.
Futures weak: http://mrci.com/qpnight.asp
Got a $19.75 stop on my QLGC of 5k. Think it's too tight?
Currently, the markets appear as if they are getting close to a point that
could be an attractive buying opportunity. It could take the July lows being
taken out in order to finally shake the remaining weak hands out and set the
stage for a possible year end rally, however. Remember, there are a lot of
traders who purchased stocks because they belief in a double bottom. Should the
lows on the Dow fall next week, we could see those traders sell in a panic.
Furthermore, Q3 statements should be arriving in the mail to households in the
next week, which could also make for some selling by individuals when they see
just how much the monetary damage the Q3 has done. As such, we feel that the
markets could be one large sell-off away from putting in a nice bottom that
could last more than a week, or two. Longer term, there are still many issues
that trouble us, but that shouldn't get in the way of achieving some nice
profits in the medium term.
From dt.com
Zeev: Maybe I should buy back those 500 IBM shares, and looking at todays price I'm glad I had that stop in place. Thanks.
Haminvestor: I'm looking, along with everyone else for short term market swings for trading. We've had the July bottom called along with a sustained 3 to 6 month bull rally. Heck, we rose about 200 Naz points at one point. Then we had the August and September bottoms called along with bull and bear suits going on and off. The market is dynamic requiring a change of clothes reflecting varying climate conditions. We know that. Now we have our hat hung on the end of earnings season of 10/22. Which I think, along with a boatload of analysts could be a turning point. Out of all the posters here I only see Zeev making successful trades on a regular basis. That is why I value his opinion. We're lucky to have him. He has admitted it is hard to pin down the exact time of the real McCoy. All of us were hoping for July, August or Sept. for the bottom. We still have Oct., Nov., and Dec., before we have to give up on a turning point this year. (g)
My advise to you is to keep your opinions to yourself whether my comments are disengenuous. I'm here to make money, like everyone else!
Sorry to pry Zeev. One of these bull calls is going to pay off for us all in a big way. Thanks for the advise.
To be exact Paul A. said abot Zeev was "he carries one helluva
a burden considering the thousands of eyes watching him each day"
i was just echoing Paul A.
What Zeev does day to day is awesome. I've had nothing but trouble with this market. Zeev has daytraded miracles. Eventually the long-term trend will hit. I'm looking for that real mcCoy.
Hey I don't mean to be hard on Mr. Hed. I do see how he can feel bad about his advise. Literally thousands are following him on this thread and trading on his calls. That is a lot of respondsibilty to carry.
have a good weekend.
Secular or cyclical. That is the question?
Zeev: You called the July bottom a cyclical bull looking for a 3 to 6 month bull move. Does your prediction of a 10/22 bottom replace your July cyclical bull prediction?
No, Zeev seems like he did quite well this week. I took my lumps but QLGC looked to tempting to pass up. Just hope we don't gap down Monday or my stop will hit.
I think Zeev is the ONLY guy that made money this wwek.
Got 5k of QLGC@21.00. Gosh I hope you're right about the upcoming rally.
10k of QLGC sure looks tempting!
Seems like we have to have a major advancement next week. Are things really that bleak? I need to make up some lost ground. Do you have a prognosis for QLGC. What broke their back?
My guy has 1135 as a major support line if we breach 1135 and close lower Monday could be terrible.
Zeev: The chartist at my brokerage sees Naz 1000 this month and S&P 600. Do you concur?
Didn't you say something about breaching 1140?
Alan's da man.
Here comes the rally. Damn, hope we get even.
