rich, the rb thread is good entertainment. it gives me something to do instead of watch tv. it used to be educational but now it is more soap opra-ish. without the bed scenes of course. :) i thought something good happened to day when i signed on with all the new posts. while we wait, has anyone had ANY contact at all, email, phone etc with anyone connected to cvi? with all the guessing and conjecture that we have done i am begining to loose trak of cvi-reality. how about bob hil.... anyone heard anything from him since the bod shake up?
robin
james, see if you can find it at this address. i am not sure how the cut & paste will work though.

ken, yeah i guess for as much good as any of the posts on rbull have been doing lately the silence here is no big deal. think of all the wasted keystrokes just in the last couple months.
robin
your guess is as good as ours. no mention of prefereds in a while. more wal paper perhaps?
robin
well jack, were do we go from here? on wed everyone was whining, price went up. today relative peace, price goes down. will cvi ever DO something? anythin? do you use cgarden?
i did but i had trouble with it so i unloaded it. interesting that at the site i downloaded it from it asks for comments regarding the program. there were none. i emailed both the site and cg asking for download counts and got no reply from either. hmmm. went back through a bunch of posts just for fun and realized it was more like torture than fun. especially keiths. page after page of unfulfilled "promises?". and a couple of the other "i love keith'ers" posts. wow what a bunch of hype. i really gotta stop doing that. well, just about time for work. take care.
robin
jim, good post. hope you are accurate in your asumptions. i agree the delay is not really the bad thing but the history of delays is a problem. when the last pr came out i was almost hysterical. i felt it was actualy a slap in the face of all the longtime supporters of cvi. so i kind of went ballistic. then my computer took a dump and that kept me off line and gave me time to cool off. still looking for good things but not very optomistic.
robin
rich, i wonder what could be the delay in the vp deal?
i also hope it is near completion but it appeared as though it was only days away when kaa/wally gave the 10 day guess. now 2 weeks have passed and no deal. that concerns me. esp given cvi's history with not getting things done. actually the delay in no big deal, just a matter of weeks, if you think about it. something of this size(from speculation) and importance shoould not be expected to be done quickly. but then there is the now infamous 10 buis day guess and cvi's past. those 2 things are the only thing that seem worrisome to me. i just can't get the cinci thing, tex real estate(way back), delays with ahcd, oil, gas..... out of my mind.
as i have in the past i keep thinking that somewhere the pr is already to go and one morning when i check the board it will be lit up with all sorts of good stuff.
robin
thanks matt. i was kind of surprised to read the posts about snsorship also. seems alittle silly to me. i never even gave that kind of stuff a thought. i understand peopl not wanting to follow 2 boards. that is there choice. but sensorship? wow.
were'd that come from? i don't know about jack or or jn but i have not removed any posts. and i would not have unless they were non cvia related advertisements.
by the way, re wayne cyba, he was on silicon investor way back when you were fm15. a few years ago i guess.
robin
suffering from cvia burnout. :)
too many high expectations(on my part) and then the inevitable letdown. man i hope this does not turn out to be another botched deal. i was actually getting the "crow eating" post ready in response to my at times critical posts. had the knee pads on and everthing. ready to grovel and beg forgiveness. :) looking forward to better times ahead. yahoo, onward and upward.
robin
rich, i stayed awake today till 10am. finally had to sleep. i will be on tommorow starting 7:15am till ?.. hope it is all worth the wait!
robin
mazer, i was kinda surprised by sals response to the mention of ihub. i think some of the posters may not like it cause of having to check 2 different boards. i was hesitant at first too. i really nevr minded the garbage on rb too much but this board is quicker and cleaner. even the small talk and ot posts i find mostly enjoyable. i personaly never intended to remove any posts other than advertisements.
cvi related: at first reading of wally's announcement i thought some news would come after the close this evening. but after re reading it that was not the case i guess. it just says after he gets a call. to anxious for news. ;) i am hoping for the best.
robin
yeah jack. wait till you know how BIG a ship to buy. you don't want to be stuck in a dingy when you could have bought a yacht.!
robin
were have we all disappeared to..... will today br the day? finally? or..... think i will stop there for now.
robin
my only problem with it is that it will be just another excuse in cvi's long list of reasons not to meet a date. my opinion: the date was given, present the news, let it stand on its own merits. if the news is good and cvi is worth its salt then people will buy.
2 more days
robin
good news i hope. alittle excitement last eve on rbull. some of the reg posters there do not seem to want to jump ship and come to ihub. wish they would. a few more days and we should know something. hope its a good something.
robin
222,000 shares traded. no price movement. unreal. can't be selling i don't think? the price would be even lower with that amount of selling. buying? how could they hold the price with that amount of buying? mm trading shares between each other? who knows. i would like to see some buying preasure in the days before a pr. hoping that it is venture planning people picking up shares before good news. that would be nice huh?
fatmat, if you could have gotten a few thousand more of your floridian buddies out to vote we would not be in this mess now. by the way, hows college going?
robin
:)
so, what is it? t minus 6 buis days and counting? anyone feeling anticipative(is that a word). could be sooner too.
what does anybody think will be the news? just trying to drum up alittle discussion here in my free time.
don't forget, get out and vote! poles open at 7am. course, italians open alittle later. (sorry, bored. it gets dark way to early) working 3rd shift in the fall/winter stinks. wake up at 4pm, dark at 5pm. too much time for tv.
i wish something exciting would happen here. was reading over a bunch of old posts from rbull/cvia in the old days. depressing.
gotta get another hobby! too much free time. where is everybody?
fatmatt, you still have any baat shares? lost my tail on that one! looked so promising too. ho humm, guess back to my recliner and the evening world news.
robin
JN, i just found a post on rbull that mentions 250000 shares of cvia traded for 900000 shares of cgarden. PR dated 10/19/00.
but i do remember a controversy about that 900000shares of cg. the pr however, says the stock swap was complete at those numbers. hmm. thanks for your time. if i would have dug alittle longer i would have found it without pestering you all!
thanks again
robin
does anyone know, or is it public knowledge someone can direct me to, the date and/or amount of cvia shares given to clickgarden? 250000 rings a bell.

my OPINION is some trades are just crosstrading between mm's. but some of it must be shares that were sold by the companies cvi invests in. what else would they have done with the shares they were given? selling them would be the only logical way to raise neccesary funds. i doubt if they would have gotten a loan on the shares as collateral. and i also doubt the mm's would be millions of shares short.
robin
rl, yes that was what i thought i remembered someone saying but i could not remember the specifics. i also think the news article jnelson posted is interesting with its connection to yahoo.
robin
matt, although nothing was specified at the time, there was something related to yahoo and clickgarden mentioned at the shareholders meeting last year. it was discussed some on the rb thread but i cannot find it now. all speculation though. but thats the fun of it i suppose.
