Tires are 'currently' not even being considered by JBI, Inc.
We can most-likely consider that to be the 'back-up Plan B' in this case.
May want to send a possible 'jailhouse break' message today with the Deputy outta' pocket...

David, I see from your status update that "IH Geek [Dave] is at jury duty." Fortunately (for us, not you), you're in Texas, so we can reasonably expect a conviction, denial of appeal, and summary execution before today's market close.

What guzaling posted.
I started buying TRTN (now JBII) stock in October '09 and have been adding weekly since then. ~FWIW
Damn nice post!
12 hour recap:
John Bordynuik JBII: Looking forward to meet many of you at the AGM. Feedstock availability (California): "However, plastic is only recycled at about a 5 percent rate statewide. "

John - what will it take to get the percentage of plastic recycled increased and a good percentage of that flowing to JBII processors? When I did a quick check, it looks like 1/2 of waste is industrial and 1/2 household. I would think it is easier to go after the industrial waste (low hanging fruit) as the waste stream would seem to be more identifiable. Is this part of the plan?

John Bordynuik
Jon: I don't quite understand your question (what would it take?). Either stream is very easy to capture because all of the sites we have spoken to (yes, including Waste Management) pays $38 to $70/ton tip fee to get rid of their plastic. They all attempt to recycle PET plastic when the commodity price is high. There is money in collecting and ... See Morerecycling PET plastic.. that's it. If it contaminated then they get nothing or much less. All other plastic is sent to landfill (with the exception of HDPE sometimes). I want all the plastic they pay to dispose of. The industrial waste stream is low hanging fruit because companies are always looking to save money and by reducing their tip fees. Industrial sources do offer a better plastic because it doesn't smell so bad (might sound funny but we have much plastic with food waste we've tested and rotten milk in powdered form smells awful). We are running unwashed mixed plastic anyway and industrial waste results in slightly less residue because I don't have rotten baked food left in the reactor.

John: I was thinking that much of the unrecycled household plastic is in the form of plastic that is not picked up at the curb by the likes of a Waste Management. I know that we can only put plastic labeled 1,2 or 3 in our green bin. Will JBII make it possible for the green bin to filled with everything plastic? I know that I would love not having to search for the code. I would imagine that a lot of plastic is not recycled just because people don't want to be bothered with sorting it.
about an hour ago
John Bordynuik
No John. The problem is composite plastic and plastics that cannot be sorted by machine or a person. As well, plastics are mismarked at times. If HDPE and PP in the same plastic it cannot and is not recycled at this time. As well, from the recyclers I spoke to if a load is HDPE and it is contaminated with some PET they just landfill it. Many ... See Moreproducts use multiple plastics for various reasons: 1 plastic for lid, one for handle, another for the container, etc.. These plastics cannot be recycled. These problems further complicate the recycling process. Colours are another headache. Some facilities sort PET by colour. With all these problems it is not possible to sort them all 100% except for PET (bottles). HDPE is somewhat sorted by size and some other technology that that is not done to often. Plastic that is generally recycled is plastic left over from product runs when the plastic type and consistency is known. That appears to be most of it.

250 - give or take a few thousand. Think that I should add some more at these levels?
I think scion posted that he would go in my stead...
12.07am here. Go JBII!
Would it surprise you that 90% of the world's population doesn't even have network - let alone, network via mobile telephone!
I am sorry...what were you saying?
LOL - you the man! I liks candy too!

The bigger question should be...

Okay, been thinking about this one and coming up with nothing...
"Holy Crap!!......Does anybody know how much used carpet gets tossed into landfills?............z"
You should really learn to read the whole document before posting something:
"Raw plastic materials can be acquired in many forms at little or no cost." ~page 4
"Additionally, gross profit will be affected by the way in which we manage the commercial launch of Plastic2Oil and the varying cost, if any, to acquire plastic feedstock." ~page 18
More info for the masses:
"Plastic2Oil
Plastic2Oil (“P2O”) was discovered by President John Bordynuik while mining through tape drive research archives. Mr. Bordynuik found the solution to a process involving breaking down plastic molecules. This research was conducted when plastic was in its infancy and oil prices were very low. It appears to our management that the research was conducted for non-commercial purposes and had no commercial value at the time.
Mr. Bordynuik explored plastic recycling when employed at the Ontario, Canada Legislature but there was no research available at that time to make the conversion commercially viable. Mr. Bordynuik's research was triggered when beverage companies began to phase out returnable glass bottles, in favor of plastic. JBI's research has revealed that this process and catalyst is not presently commercialized. By integrating this technology into a large batch processor the Company believes that it can accomplish the following:
· Approximately one liter of fuel is extracted from a kilogram of plastic
· The gas byproduct provides the energy necessary to fuel the process thereby eliminating energy costs
· Due to our catalyst and a highly optimized process, fuel can be extracted in four hours from a large source of raw unwashed, mixed plastics
· Raw plastic materials can be acquired in many forms at little or no cost.
· This technology has significant advantages over biodiesel operations due to biodiesel's high operating costs, the high costs of raw materials, and the high energy requirements by their processes.
4
Alan Barnett, JBI's Head Chemist, will oversee the optimization and deployment of JBI's first volume Plastic2Oil processor. Alan’s experience includes over 25 years as a chemist and the key to the P2O process involves a chemical catalyst that is used to break down the plastic most efficiently.
It is important to note that technology exists to convert plastic to oil; however the processes presently utilized require excessive amounts of energy, have low yields, and in many cases cause dramatic emission pollutants. In addition there are alternative fuels being produced that do not appear to be economically viable. For instance, many biodiesel facilities have filed bankruptcy because their energy conversion costs exceed the value of the diesel product they produce.
In particular biodiesel producers have the following challenges:
· High-energy requirements;
· Very poor energy return;
· As oil prices rise, biodiesel won't necessarily become more viable;
· Large biodiesel plants incur high transportation costs of raw and processed materials;
· Algae biodiesel presently costs $32/gallon to produce;
· Biodiesel factories are heavily dependent on commodity prices of raw materials and energy prices
Management intends to exploit its technology to overcome the challenges facing alternative energy corporations."
The PPS will be high enough soon to knock your socks off!
"Then the yield will not be as high as you claim."
What is your opinion about that?
You forgot to mention that JBI is doing them a favor by NOT charging to take the feedstock plastic! I would say that is quite admirable of the company.
"JBII's Plastic to Oil process uses post consumer dirty smelly plastic that would normally wind up in a landfill....z"
Amen brother!
"The only thing worth discussing is how fast will production machines start popping up all over the place........z"

Many loyal shareholders reached their conclusion about it a very long time ago. Can you explain to me what purpose it serves to continue this discussion?
"It's been discussed at length because no
reasonable conclusion has been reached."
After all, it has no bearing whatsoever of the imminent success of JBI, Inc.

Why have you not defended, er, responded yet?
This has been discussed at length jj, and you know it. Can you please try to come up with something new concerning JBI, Inc. and its future as a company? TIA
This stock has been and will be traded/invested/shorted just like any other stock on the markets. To attempt to belittle someone else for their trading style should be avoided. Everyone has their own trading styles for different stocks. I really think that everyone here knows that.
And sometimes ya just gotta' do what you gotta' do!

(ih) Question all you want. The TOS is the law of the land here, and there are no "court rulings" that have any jurisdiction or influence over that.

Not to the general public, and not to the best of my knowledge either. If anyone comes across it in their DD I would appreciate reading a post about it as well.
That is copyrighted material sion. You left off one tiny bit of info from that news clip post:
Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission.
Do you have the proof that you received the permission to re-post it on an open forum?
I have always heard that if you wanted to know everything, then ya gotta' go inside! :)
[edit]
And when ya gotta' go - you gotta' go!
That's just not true SteveF! They have had the same opportunity to purchase a single share of JBII and sign-up to attend the AGM - just as the believers have. The information has been posted numerous times!
"The company has gone out of it's way to make sure *unbelievers* cannot attend."
You need to remember that it is a shareholder meeting.
So, you are basing your whole belief is whether you should invest in JBII on just the merits of a seen or unseen patent?
"Seen any patents?"
Can you please explain why you believe this way about JBII?
"Yes, there is nothing new in JBII technology."
Can you post the process data from both JBI, Inc. and the Environ machines for comparison purposes? TIA
"...it appears that BJI's process data is as good as or better tha Envion's which is as good as or better than Blest's."
Can you post that data for us, as that would certainly be categorized as new DD, and then we could compare it to what Islechem is reporting - kinda' like a check-balance to verify if indeed there are the same machines. TIA
"The numbers they released are consistent with what the Blest/Donghe machines are capable of off the shelf - JBII could have saved shareholder money getting that data straight from the manufacturer."
