MMStockPlay, I plan to hold STEM into earnings on Monday, July 30, 2012. Based on the current CIRM (California Institute for Regenerative Medicine) grant of $20M to STEM and the next potential grant of $20M to STEM from CIRM for Alzheimer's research on September 6, 2012 the future for STEM and STEM's PPS is looking good.
Please see my STEM charts at your convenience. As an educated guesstimate and not trading or investment advice, the STEM charts seem to point to $4-$6 in the IT to LT.
StemCells announced initiation of a Phase I/II clinical trial of the company's proprietary HuCNS-SC product candidate - purified human neural stem cells - in dry age-related macular degeneration, or AMD, referred to as Geographic Atrophy. There are no approved treatments for dry AMD. :theflyonthewall
Hi everyone, STEM has been granted $20M for stem-cell-based research from CIRM (California Institute for Regenerative Medicine! :)
An additional $20M grant, based on STEM's appeal to CIRM, may be awarded for to STEM for Alzheimer's research on 9-6-12.
STEM reports earnings on Monday, July 30, 2012.

STEM ALERT: Hi Wisdom and MMStockPlay, the The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CAIM) will meet on Thursday July 26, 2012 to announce the winners of the latest round of grants for stemcell research.
UC Davis Researchers Score Big in $113 Million Stem Cell Award Round
Scientists at the University of California at Davis are set to win nearly half of $113 million expected to be awarded next week by the California stem cell agency as it pushes aggressively to turn research into marketplace cures.
Directors of the $3 billion agency are virtually certain to approve awards to three researchers at UC Davis, which operates its medical school and other research facilities in nearby Sacramento. The other three expected winners are from UCLA, Stanford and StemCells, Inc. [STEM], of Newark, Ca., a publicly traded firm.
You're very welcome Wisdom, thanks very much for your comments. :) :) Have a great fun-filled happy time in Vegas! :)
Good luck on your stocks and in Vegas too.

Hi Wisdom, I just sold to close the $.40 QQQ put options that I bought on Friday and successfully sold them for $1.61. :)
Note, the occupants in the theoretical Alcubierre spaceship would not be travelling faster than the speed of light, rather the expansion of spacetime behind them would cause them to "jump" across spacetime due to the expansion of spacetime behind them and the contraction of spacetime in front of them. It would work not like Star Trek but rather like Doctor Who's TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimensions) Box. :)
I wish you great success and a very profitable day and week in the market.
Regards,
Bob
Hi Wisdom, no that is incorrect, it's true that mass can't be accelerated to the speed of light or faster than light as shown by the Lorentz Fitzgerald equations which show that as mass is accelerated towards the speed of light the mass increases (demonstrated in particle accelerators) and would therefore require infinite energy to accelerate mass to the speed of light and beyond which is indeed impossible. However, please reread the "Alcubierre" article; spacetime can expand faster than light since it isn't mass, space, or time. This is why some stars have been accelerating faster than the speed of light away from our solar system and galaxy due to the expansion of spacetime.
Thanks very much for the wormhole article.
Best,
Bob

Hi Wisdom and MMStockPlay, IMVHO, eventually we will be able to visit planets around other star systems by bringing them to us rather than zooming to them like in Star Trek. We will employ techniques similar to the proposed technique of mathematical physicist Miguel Alcubierre of bending spacetime by expanding local spacetime behind a space vehicle and locally contracting spacetime in front of the space vehicle thus effectively bringing the desired star and its planets to the spaceship.
According to an article entitled, "Alcubierre drive" from Alcubieere drive
The Alcubierre drive (or Alcubierre metric see: Metric tensor) is a speculative idea based on a valid solution of the Einstein field equations as proposed by Miguel Alcubierre by which a spacecraft might be accelerated to speeds greater than the speed of light in order to achieve the objective of interstellar flight.
History
In 1994 Alcubierre proposed a way of changing the geometry of space by creating a wave which would cause the fabric of space ahead of a spacecraft to contract and the space behind it to expand.[1] The ship would then ride this wave inside a region of flat space known as a warp bubble, and would not move within this bubble, but instead be carried along as the region itself moves as a consequence of the actions of the drive. If this is so, conventional relativistic effects such as time dilation would not apply in the way they would in the case of a ship moving at a very great velocity through flat spacetime, relative to other objects. This method of propulsion would not involve objects in motion at speeds faster than light with respect to the contents of the warp-bubble; that is, a light beam within the warp-bubble would still always move faster than the ship. Thus the mathematical formulation of the Alcubierre metric does not contradict the conventional claim that the laws of relativity do not allow a slower-than-light object to accelerate to faster-than-light speeds. The Alcubierre drive, however, remains a hypothetical concept with seemingly insuperable problems: The amount of energy required is unobtainably large, there is no method to create a warp bubble in a region that does not already contain one, and there is no method to move from the warp-bubble once having arrived at a supposed destination.
The Alcubierre metric defines the warp drive spacetime. This is a Lorentzian manifold which, if interpreted in the context of general relativity, allows a warp bubble to appear in previously flat spacetime and move off at effectively superluminal speed. Inhabitants of the bubble feel no inertial effects. The object(s) within the bubble are not moving (locally) faster than light, instead, the space around them shifts so that the object(s) arrives at its destination faster than light would in normal space.[2]
Hi Wisdom and MMStockPlay, according to an article entitled, "Five potential habitable exoplanets now" by Abel Mendez Torres from phys.org
Artistic representation of all the five known potential habitable worlds including now Gliese 581g, the best candidate for an Earth-like exoplanet so far. All of these planets are superterrans (aka Super-Earths) with masses estimated between two and ten Earth masses. Numbers below the planet names correspond to their similarity with Earth as measured in a scale from zero to one with the Earth Similarity Index, one being identical to Earth.
(Phys.org) -- New data suggest the confirmation of the exoplanet Gliese 581g and the best candidate so far of a potential habitable exoplanet. The nearby star Gliese 581 is well known for having four planets with the outermost planet, Gliese 581d, already suspected habitable. This will be the first time evidence for any two potential habitable exoplanets orbiting the same star. Gliese 581g will be included, together with Gliese 667Cc, Kepler-22b, HD85512, and Gliese 581d, in the Habitable Exoplanets Catalog of the PHL @ UPR Arecibo as the best five objects of interest for Earth-like exoplanets.

Hi backtowork, thanks for the link. :) I'm glad that you liked my trades and my charts-thanks. :) I sold out my options positions profitably and bought new QQQ put options close to the money. :)
I was aware of CMG but I wouldn't touch it. The put prices were ridiculously bloated charging almost $18 dollars for a put 10 points OTM and with a $1.00 spread with 1 day left to go on the weekly options! I stay clear of those type of stocks! :) :) I don't think that you would have wanted to pay those prices. :) The risk-to-reward ratio isn't worth it.
Good luck on all of your trades. :)
Have a great weekend. :)

Great insights Wisdom, I agree with you. :) The option bid and ask spreads on the QQQs are very narrow and fairly priced (usually a .02 spread) and the liquidity is very high. :)
Many people will spend hundreds and thousands of dollars a year on lotteries and much more at the gambling tables hoping to make a "killing" but won't spend any time learning how to trade stocks and/or options and to learn how they work in order to give themselves a real chance for a better life.
Trading options is very risky and IMVHO, less than 10% of options traders are successful with options over the short and the long term. It is mandatory to do major DD and constantly monitor all of the options and related stocks in one's portfolio. Failure to do so will lead to financial ruin. If people aren't willing to put in the major time and effort required to be successful in stock trading and especially in options trading they should stay away from trading and hold onto their hard-earned money. It is mandatory both in trading and in life in general to have a goal, then a plan on how to achieve that goal, and finally to execute that plan and review what the results were in order to make any modifications (post implementation review).
Thank you for bringing up the poor audio quality in the video. However, the content of the video was excellent and highly relevant. :)Thanks too for working to improve the audio quality. :)
