Good evening everybody. I was doing some hunting on the internet and found an old post I thought was worth sharing since people here mention VFIN from time to time. Let's educate ourselves, shall we? Since the post is from 2009, some of the players may have changed, the game has not.

KNOW YOUR MARKET MAKERS!! LOOK:
How To Spot Dilution
Once you learn how to use L2 dilution is very easy to spot. Always pay attention to who is on the ask. If it is just NITE or UBSS then most likely you won't see any manipulation. If you see PERT, VFIN, VERT or cosmetic MM's, know that they are the #1 diluters in the market. Cosmetic MM's are special MM's used by the company to help hide dilution from less learned traders. Some of them are PUNK, MERRI and VNDM. Sometimes it's easier to use them then the well known one's like VERT. If you are watching L2 and one of the diluters are there you will see massive volume on the ask but it will not UT on your stock, it's because they have a certain amount of shares to sell and will not move until they are gone.
You might think it's all buys but they are masked due to selling on the ask since they will come up green instead of red. Another thing here also is you can have millions bought on the ask and then it down ticks, posters will say MM manipulation but what is going on is it down ticked because the OS has gotten bigger due to VERT and others selling shares on the ask.
Here is a list of some of the more famous Market Makers (MM's)
Big Shorters: JIMK, POND, GNET or ARCA (anyone can use GNET, even other MMs because it's an ECN).
Wholesalers: ETRD, HRZG, MASH, NITE, SHWB, UBSS
Top Retail Dilutors: ACAP, AGIS, BAMM, BMIC, CHIG, CLYP, FANC, FRAN, JIMK, MAYF, MERRI, NATL, PERT, PUNK, SACM, UCAP, VERT, VFIN
I think I figured out why the volume is so low. A lot of your friends left. Let me see if I can attach this...

I mean a lot of Short interest umm isn't interested as much as they were. Did you not get the memo?
I wonder why? Have you ever stood in the eye of a hurricane? I have. Its blue skies after complete chaos and then all of the sudden...
Ahh yes, I see the connection you made there. Good catch Mooon
Have you all seen this? Since I'm not here everyday reading every post, I thought I might share this with you if it has not already been posted. SLTD short interest declining as of January 15th. Type in SLTD

Global Solar Domination!!!
Batteries? Yea, we can use those. Elon, surrender those batteries!!!
haha, I'm just playin. No but seriously, Jim Nelson said SLTD will be a billion dollar company and that will surely pull customers from SCTY
Well said Derek, I find it interesting that they are doing the promotion with a Tesla. Its almost as if Jim is telling Elon, "We're coming at you with our gloves off."
A Tesla, that's brilliant
In your face sir... haha
Well, if no intraday action, that's Asystole or Flatline
Overall you are talking EKG rhythms my friend.
Depends on what it looks like, V-tach, V- Fib, A-Fib are usually the normal ones displayed around here from over emotional posters :)
Hey everybody, haven't been posting much or reading for that matter. Whoa, .15 saw it the other day and was tempted to buy more. (For an investment, ahem.... not a trade)
I had to go back a few pages to try and catch up, what a novel has been written, such suspense, anguish, disgust, jubilation, my oh my.
Looks like someone is getting all the attention today from the longs, they are spending time writing paragraphs to (You) , quit wasting their time, sell your shares and when this stock goes to the big board, institutions buying it up, stop by and post and tell everyone that maybe you got a little too emotional back then.
I would like to APOLOGIZE for YOU to all of the longs who wrote at length to YOU. Get it together or sell your shares on the next run up, HINT: ITS NEXT MONTH FOR MD AQUISITION FINALIZATION
Maybe you should apologize to them for wasting their time?
You're welcome
Omg, and this concludes our daily round the world cursing contest. CHIINK, 1STplace
I don't come here everyday. I saw that awhile back and didnt get a chance to peruse through hundreds of daily posts to find my answer. Thank you for answering that question for me.
Wow, thanks Growth. Exactly what I am talking about. If you want to know what is going on with the company, go back and reread letters from the COMPANY, interpret the message sent and not base your decisions on posts from (aw man, cmon this scratch off is worthless ok gimme another one, screw this convience store these tickets are garbage). Noise
Thanks for the letter Pinguo. Another great post Mooon.
Isn't there a patent that needs to expire in August before things can move forward?
The letter is upbeat and conservative, no boasting, no talk of "Complete Solar Domination", It is exactly the type of letter that companies put out that know they have a plan and are implementing that plan on a schedule of their design.
With that being said, I had been looking for another pop like the .314 to aquire more shares so I would not have to scrape change to buy more. I cannot bring myself to sell a pop now only to be left behind after reading that letter.
People, reread the letter. Nelson isn't frustrated, he is busy be fitted for Big Board battle armor.
The CEO is going to retain a law firm for the company. Do you really think he wants to retain a law firm for a couple years with company money?
Ears open, this company is going to be a billion dollar company. Who said that? Hint: He has both hands firmly gripping the steering wheel. He gets more face time on the news than you do and his credentials are uh really good...
Drops Mike
Booooooooo...................
Chiinkwia1 Friday, 12/19/14 08:31:38 AMRe: NonePost # of 29927 OMG!!!! Dropped in this morn as always to see what was going on. Then at first I thought I had hit the button for the Yahoo board. I check that one just to get my belly laughs in. But no, it's actually the ihub board acting like the Yahoo board. Intellegence be damned, full speed ahead with unfounded speculation. This board has disintegrated into the abyss of none factual speculation. Intellegent discussion can no longer be used to describe this SLTD board.
This post pretty much sums up what I found checking in today at the end of the day.
So an 8k huh? Cool.
Still have my shares, not selling them, speculate away...
Jim Nelson is working, don't bother the man, let him do what he went to school for and got some pretty good grades studying to do.
What's he doing?!?! Everybody freak out and second guess him. No wonder he doesn't read this noise.
Looks like we got pretty close to seeing that .16 cent unicorn the other day. Hopefully some of you bought you some. Well, the markets have been down and energy has been getting hit but I like the candle over candle formation on the daily chart and that red hammer on the weekly, daily chart showing accumulation so I say we rise when the tide comes in and like others have said about uptrending markets, a rising tide is a perfect time to surf waves with PRs...
I agree but if you do see it, like a unicorn, you need to buy it.
Omg, dude is that a unicorn?
Yea, I bought it from some guy on the internet.
Just like this stock, I heard about it from some guy on the internet.
Lol, thanks DP :)
Yep, legged doji on the weekly but on this daily chart is a test of. 16 just like back in Oct around the 15th? Also there is that red hammer next to the test of 16 we just had. Hammers signify a bottom, "Hammering out a bottom for the pattern. I say we go up more tomorrow. If and when it tests. 16 again, buy shares hand over fist.
I cut and pasted this because there is a long legged doji on the weekly chart that has formed. Institutional investors look at weekly charts and buy on these technical reversal signals if you believe in that sort of thing...
Indecision: Shadows Without Bodies (Doji)
Sometimes candlesticks lack a body, or retain only a very small one, and they are called doji. It is seen to lack a body because the opening and closing price are virtually equal. The lengths of the upper and lower shadows can vary and the resulting candlestick looks like a cross, inverted cross, or plus sign. The doji represents indecision in the market.
If the market is non-trending, the doji is not as significant, for non-trending or sideways markets are inherently indecisive. If the doji forms on a trend, it is more significant, as it is a signal that the buyers (of upward trend) or sellers (of downward trend) are becoming exhausted, weak and losing conviction. The buyers or sellers have been tapped out. The Doji witnessed in such a context can signal a ripe opportunity to enter early on in a potential trend reversal or trend correction, taking a trade in the opposite direction of the prior trend.
Also see the accumulation bounce at the bottom of the image.
Thank you Alex nm
Can we please make this a sticky? I don't think I have seen all of those vids and I was looking for that Huntsman one.
You are funny. Your fundamental analysis is right 100% of the time? I have received alerts on actual trades in the last week where just one trade would pay you your salary for two weeks. All from charts. The watchlist I have has produced 5, 10 and today a 30 percent gainer. I don't have enough money right now to spread over the stocks that are producing these results.Technical trading does not have to be right 100 percent of the time just like one of your pursuits, Poker. You see, you have to have an edge. If you are making money 70 percent of the time, ask anyone, thats a damn good edge. Now you must be really scratching your head right now huh? How does he know I like poker? Due diligence sir.
The recent news is very promising and Jim Nelson will go into it further when he can. Technically speaking, in hindsight I see where I probably should have had another buy order in yesterday. I didn't flinch at .16, noticed it, thought cheap and disregarded my inner voice.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please mark my post and tell me I was wrong if it doesn't happen.
When the pps gets higher than the 50 ma, it will once again use it for support and head higher.
I know alot of people here don't like technicals and that is fine but the are thousands upon thousands or people who use technical points for buying, selling, trading (ew) kidding. For the long term investors, I say buy more and watch the 50 ma lift off paint your account greener quicker. For the traders, should have bought on the long tail from yesterday, shame, shame. Lol
The chart makes scallop patterns back to June for Pete'$ sake, please remember this post and say, you were wrong and I will politely accept my mistake. :)
ok so the company has to have a share price of 3 dollars to be listed?
Does Sltd have to meet a minimum pps like a dollar for example to be listed on Nasdaq? Please say yes
I am at work this morning and see SLTD dip into the 16s, I knew immediately something was happening that was good. Strong company, good growth strategy and the stock is tanking, I said to myself, oh this is good. Big guys like discounts too. And now with the news, the stock looks really good technically as well. Macd is curling, accumulation happening and rsi turning. It might bounce off the 50 ma again. Go ahead, sell your shares and make a quick profit. If it gets away from you, If you chase it, it will cost you every bit of that profit to hop back on. My opinion
I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I lost mine not too long ago to Ovarian cancer
People say this guy is like clock work so there is a great possibility of that.
Love the article, now lets get Solar3d working on those batteries and paint too
My chart investigation as I continue to learn more showed me something interesting on the weekly chart at Stockcharts dot com. I put a 20ma in and noticed that upon a bullish cross by the 20 over the 200, about two weeks later is when Sunworks was bought, am I correct on that? This resulted in a rise in price and then when the 50 crossed the 200, about 2 weeks later is when MD was announced. I am checking my facts with you all but what it looks like to me is the the company released news shortly after those bullish crosses. Somebody tell me I'm crazy trying reading tea leaves. Thanks
Good post no msg
My book will be named

Hello, may I speak to Warren please? Thank you.
Pause for 10 seconds
Hello this is Warren, Jim, oh hey Jim, how are things?
Everything is on track, We have our fab set up, what are your thoughts?
How much are we looking at?
50 million, give or take a little.
5 second pause
Hey Charlie, Jim wants 50 for the shares, what do you want to do?
Alright, we are pulling our walking cash together for it. Do you want to fly to Omaha or do want me to come there?
Oh, no worries Warren, we'll come to you.
Sounds good, see you in few days, we'll go to lunch and talk about Elephant hunting.
Ok, sounds good, see you then.
Abe, I just Got off the phone with Warren.
People are going to wonder why we are selling so many shares.
You know what, let them wonder.
Yes I agree on that post and there you go on the chart.
Nice when the CEO answers you like that, huh? Good stuff, thank you.
You are too kind. I am just starting to learn charts. I am merely applying what I have learned so far and my thoughts on some or all of it could be incorrect. So there is my disclaimer and if it blows out the top (I will take full responsibility for it) ha ha ;)
The chart is what first hit me when I was directed to SLTD not to long ago. From the chart, I went to reading about this company. I couldn't sleep and bought shares the next day.
The 50 MA is proving to be a lower channel line like you have said, yes. Drawing a parallel upper channel line shows the channel top that traders are selling. I have been tempted to selI so as to add to my position on a retracement to support. I think that the resistance areas up to that upper channel line will be blown right through as news comes from the company. I think the upper channel line will experience a break out when big news comes and I don't think that the upper channel line will act as support because we will be entering what others call a "Blue Sky Breakout". Support will be elsewhere, like higher :)
Just a perfect blue sky for innovative technology
So what you are saying is that these two entities were involved with Machine talker and Machine talker failed as a business?
I don't care.
Businesses do actually fail from time to time.
Solar3D isn't Machine talker, its Solar3D.
Hmmm, Is that how it went down? Hmmm?
Again, I don't care
Here's another question for you.
Were you invested in Machine talker when it failed as a business?
If Solar3D is not successful, which I doubt, I will not be disgruntled and bother people on Ihub or anywhere else because my plan didn't pan out.
And you keep doing it and when it rips, people will be addressing you again. It just happens like that
Its funny that you posted that early post. I actually found something on BING, an early post and it is the post that your post is whining to. Here it is...
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=55245440
I know that the company was Machinetalker and they were involved in it and check this out, I don't care. That has nothing to do with what you are claiming.
Here is what matters right now. You said that the two parties are not involved with SLTD and you are WRONG. They are.
I'm new to techinical trading and investing but I can confirm, yes, this is a bullish harami. I wasnt sure at first by our splendid ongoing uptrend but we have had a short downtrend from that spike to .314. Ha ha sorry, I got a little nuts with my editing and research.
I found American bulls from someone on Stocktwits. I dont use it for making trades because I havent made that many trades yet.
I said in an earlier post that I want to further increase my core long position with SLTD by trading a smaller position. I would trade that Harami tomorrow and recycle the profit right back into my position. I dont want to not be sitting down with my seatbelt fastened when this rocket launches. If my smaller trading position doesnt make the launch, oh well
Like I said, he is forcing me to prove things correct or incorrect with his statements. Bucky has proven to me that his knowledge of SLTD shines like Mooons, yours and others here.
