That was a funny one....

Hello gear heads...
Re:Ford.....the last CEO update indicated a large increase in the number of inquiries and interest levels...could Ford be one of them..?
From the CEO update.."Aside from the Chinese, interest in the FTV continues to accelerate. We will be demonstrating the vehicle to two Japanese companies and one major U.S. automotive manufacturer this July, 2006."
"Our guests confirmed from their own experience that our FTV is the only vehicle capable of ending the rural isolation of half the world’s population, enabling “millions of tons” of food to be transported to the cities rather than rotting in the field. As far as the potential market for the FTV is concerned, they more than once acknowledged that, in many respects, China, Indonesia, India, vast tracts of Africa, South and Central America, western Asia and Russia are strikingly similar to the conditions existing in the U.S. at the turn of the last century --- conditions in which Henry Ford sold over fifteen million Model-Ts out of a population of ninety million. Rather than ninety million, this part of world has over three billion.
By the way dread...that Ford truck looks extremely FTV-like...
Hope everyone is having a nice summer thus far...
good morning pump and motor lovers...
did I miss anything..? LOL....
Putting differences of opinions aside, there is alot more common ground here than ever before with of course an exception or two...There is nothing wrong with being passionate about this stuff and going overboard occassionally, myself included, to over illustrate our point of view, doesn't always help the conversation...not ever trying to offend anyone..just calling it like I see it...i'm guilty of that for sure...
As for Torvec...I hear the train a comin'....
To all:(and I mean all) Have a safe and fun 4th of July weekend..I'm outa here...
Good morning..
not sure of what's allowable or legal....
There is a second part to my theory/opinion that I willnot post on this forum and never will...i know that's a non-answer, but....
Well, well, well....
If it isn't nycinvst....just when things were getting calmer and on what even by recent detracters was a very good day for Torvec via this mornings CEO update....Even the most critical of shareholders in the history of Torvec's public trading came out today and basically said that they are pleased with what they saw and are encouraged about where this appears to be is going...why with all of the good news from this morning would someone come on and try to unwind all of that positive information which caused an obvious rise in the share price..
How much more can you twist the information than you just did...
Your arrival brought a theory I have much more into focus...follow me on this one people...it's one of my favorite topics nyc..
here is my theory...you are connected by an umbilical cord to CXO...not sure how, but I have always suspected that...when your pals at CXO were univited from Torvec's board, there appeared to be a flurry of stock sales in the days right after that event..2 to 3 hundred thousand shares....and then again right before they resigned from Torvec another flurry of sales..similar amounts 2 to 3 hundred thousand...let's call it half a million shares...this is where it gets interesting because every time I bring up the short topic, everyone goes freaking nuts, but follow me here...the theory moves onto the warrants that your buddies were supposed to be getting from the contract with Torvec...we still have never heard what happened to the 565,00o ish warrants that were exercised, but thats another topic...this theory and my speculation has to do with the other warrants and stock that is now tied up in the legal proceedings between the two parties....it looks like it's roughly 500,000 warrants and 250,000 shares that your boys no longer can get at because they are locked up with Torvec's delivery of $250,000....you still with me nyc...you don't suppose that your budies sold shares of Torvec short against the box, knowing that they were going to be able to cover those sales with the shares from the yet to be converted 500,000 warrants do you...I can't imagine that...can you...? Oops...those warrants and shares are now UNavailable to your pals for who knows how long..
Are you still following me nyc...those sales that occurred around the events mentioned earlier seemd to be done with a rough average sale price in the 2.25 to 2.50 range...what a coincidence that you show up trying to sling mud on the very day that good news for the company comes out and pushes the stock price right up to that number and then the very last trade of the day takes fro 2.24 to 2.15.....
While this long winded response to you is my opinion, i thought i would share it with you to set the tone...if that scenario where to be true, it would seem like positive news sending the stock north of the 2.30 to 2,50 range would be excrutiatingly painful for someone beginning to go under water on a 500,000 share short position at that level...it would also help to explain why someone might come here attempting to create a giant negative dust storm and attempt to keep the stock from moving up....
That's my opinion....
have a nice evening
dread...
I can't help but wonder if we are nearing the end of the ability to buy Torvec at this low price level...how much longer does it make sense for a prospective Torvec investor, or a long termer who has been reluctant to average in to wait ..?
I was thinking golf...
what were you thinking....
LOL...
How about a threesome..you in?
Well said SECFAN...
It feels like we as investors, while having different viewpoints over time(understatement.!!LOL) can share in what may be heading toward the most exciting chapters in Torvec's history...the anticipation of not knowing where this all goes can be frustrating for long termers, but when you look at what these guys have in the pipeline you can't help but feel as the CEO updates says.."our time has arrived".
Thanks for your well done post...
I agree sheriff...
There appears to alot more going on than even I would like to have thought...it looks like they have something going on across all product lines...
This was interesting...."Aside from the Chinese, interest in the FTV continues to accelerate. We will be demonstrating the vehicle to two Japanese companies and one major U.S. automotive manufacturer this July, 2006."
It looks like the SAIC folks are not the only potential player on the FTV....I can't help but imagine that the last thing the SAIC leadership would want is the FTV going to the Japanese...
This continues to get more more interesting...
Well said sheriff...
PS...In real life, I actually am a nice guy that likes to have a good time...
Here's another interesting SECFAN Fact..
SECFAN created the SECFAN indentity on the exact same day that he was thrown off ihub using his former alias...
Did someone say short...?
Hi zendo...
WIGO stands for what is going on...
Whats interesting about the term WIGO is that when you use the advanced search features of ihub and look up WIGO the only place it ever shows up is in SECFAN's posts and those of his previous alias....not one other poster on any ihub board going back to 2003 has ever used the term...
Have a nice evening everyone....
For what it's worth...
You did all of this same stuff back when you were thrown off the board by the ihub police under your other alias...not only the same stuff...exactly the same..made it pretty easy to figure it out actually...
So while your running around with your hair on fire acting like you are here again, don't expect too many people to give a sh_t and want to reach out and bond with you...
Hi trucker...
Looks like someone bought about 3700 right at the close @ $1.90...nice way to end the day...total 4700 for the day..
Doesn't appear to be much available without moving the ask up
Sorry dyna...
forgot to answer you from earlier....wasn't fishing for anything was just going through the barrage of posts from this week and saw where I had sent that one to sheriff and you responded....I missed the fact that I included your name in the question....my error
I figured it out...took a little longer than usual..
It's your second alias here that I have been able to decipher..not sure if there are more, but positive about the other one..I recall that you were thrown off using the last alias for the same approach you're using again...FYI, I have never talked with dread, don't know who he is, and as far as I know, even as the moderator, he cannot tell if someone has multiple aliases or not..only ihub can..in this case, i sniffed it out..
Again, my apology to Sheriff for thinking it was him initially....it isn't....
Lynx...
SECFAN is not only not new, he is using his second alias on this board to help us with our investment decision making...the first one was equally as fun as this one....
dyna....
When I said SECFAN isnot a new member, I wasn't referring to the date that SECFAN signed up....and with all due apologies to sheriff, I know it is not him...
I think I know the answer to this but when I asked sheriff a question in post 6600....the repsonse came from dyna...was it sheriff using your account to answer because he was out of posts that day..? or was that actually you in post 6601...
dyna...
"I see a new member (SECFAN) asking many questions."
FYI.....SECFAN isnot a new member....
What we have here....
Is a case of 8k fever...not sure what the cure is...seems like a particularly bad case though....
have fun everyone.....
Is it me.........
Seems like the forum has been down this road before...
I guess we'll just have to wait it out and see what happens...
Sec...
The question asking is a good strategy in terms of doing your homework. What happens here is that people like yourself who are pissed off that their stock isnot at $10 ask a bunch of questions of the type that couldnot possibly be answered by the cast of charactors we have assembled here....it is wise to ask, wiser to ask the right people. Directing many of the questions to the company would produce answers that are allowable within regulations, but they would be answers from a better source...directing them here will give you opinions and guesses and regurgitation of the filings, which in my opinion, many people don't read....
Now you're pissed off at people on the board because they don't have the answers you seek...???
If I felt like you do now, enough would be enough...
You guys are alot of fun...
The whole topic was dying a slow death until the 8k seemed to cause a fire drill and the barrage of posts....the topic stays alive because it keeps doing CPR on itself just as we all think it has taken it's last breath....giving the fact that it's not over, it will again I'm sure...
Couple of things...I don't know anything about you other than having a co-worker with multiple alias syndrome (LOL) and that you have an acute dislike for the management at Torvec.....so your comment about me knowing that you don't have busines or personal relationship with CXO is false..I don't know if you do or not...
As for dread, you pushed all of his buttons and he responded. Personally the CXO ihub board thing was an attempt in my opinion, by him, not disrespect CXO, but to make a point about there can be other forums to talk about certain topics...kind of "enough is enough" on some of the repetitive stuff that gets thrown out here.....I commend dread for how he has handled being a moderator..it appears to be a giant pain in the ass to do, so my hats off to him...is he always right..probably not, but neither are you or I...
Which came first...chicken or egg...let's move on
sheriff...
just curious why this particular topic has caused such an angry reaction from you and dyna..? Your reaction to the whole discussion seems to be a little beyond normal...why take it so personally..?
Remember you used to tell me to think happy thoughts...?......keep smiling....
Hukuna Mitatta
Touche...
Bullseye Artguy...!
it appears to have struck a nerve and be more than a non-event..
Today's 8k must have struck a nerve...
Sheesh...
??
This is from the 2/06 CEO update regarding the shareholder voting..
"Over 91% of our outstanding shares, including over 700 new shareholders, participated in the meeting, voting overwhelmingly ( in excess of 99% ) for the reelection of directors Daniel R. Bickel, Herbert H. Dobbs, Keith E. Gleasman, James Y. Gleasman, Joseph B. Rizzo and Gary A. Siconolfi. Most importantly, over 99% of our nonaffiliated voters ( i.e. voters who have no affiliation with the Gleasman family, members of the board and their families ) voted for the reelection of all our directors."
SEC...
Really what you are going to get here are opinions, as well as facts that are public from the filings...alot of stuff asked here can and should be directed to the company for answers.
"Investors here and on the street are not that impressed with current management." I certainly recognize that there are people that don't like Torvec's management.. (understatement)
Unless I'm mistaken something like 99% of the shareholders voted for them...
I think the warrants covert to a share of TOVC 1 for 1...
not 100% sure
SEC...
Didn't say you were a short...
My opinion on the short position of Torvec remains this...Torvec stock was shorted and there currently remains a decent sized short position that has not yet been covered...I believe the shorting occurred during the run down from 18 months ago...I donot think the stock has been shorted in the last year or so...that damage has already been done and was one factor of many producing the recent levels of TOVC share values...
I also believe that a fair amount of the short position has already been quietly and deliberately covered in the last several months and it was done in a fashion to not excite the price level...again, i donot think the stock has been shorted for a year or so...to this point it has been a win for the short player....if i am correct about there being a remaining sizeable short position that hasnot been covered, a monetizing event by Torvec will crush that position in the stampede....
A man can dream...
not sure...
but my guess is that since they can't get to the warrants, they can't be converted....
Thank you....
dyna...
from what I can tell, the $250,000 is already in the courts hands...
SEC...
Your question: "then wouldn't you love the fact that a ton of shared were held short."
Answer: Yes
Interesting indeed...
