Hedge, about halfway into the mine is a safety room built to MSHA requirements that has all the supplies necessary to sustain the miners for a set time frame. All built to the MSHA requirements and passed the test. Another one of those things they had to do while they were rehabbing the tunnel. NBRI does things right and their safety record and inspection record speaks for itself.
It's a ways. Couple hundred miles.
Gem you are right. We are just getting started. The rocket ship is about to take off and those on the sidelines are gonna be watching as we zoom past a dollar right in front their eyes. Go NBRI.
Spanky, some may do just that, be a yes man for a company but when all goes sour how long will that expert be considered an expert and getting a bad reputation would kill his career. Most would not risk it. Go NBRI.
Rare, I have addressed the issue with timing several times so for me it is not an issue. Why didn't a REAL miner get this one if it was so good? I can't say why, there could be a lot of reasons. 20 yrs ago I bought a house that was in the market for almost 2 yrs, probably hundreds of people looked at it and no one bought, built in the 70's and still had avocado colored appliances and shag carpet. Most people saw it for what it was, I saw it for what it could be. 20 yrs later I have a beautiful house that I could sell quick if I choose to. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Go NBRI. Dollars coming.
Harry, good find. The same thing happened to the Idaho-Maryland mine. After spending millions just trying to get permits they gave up and there are others. With that in mind, people want to complain that NBRI hasn't started mining after 3 short years. Sure the price is down right now but they are on the verge of mining and the price will recover. NBRI is so far ahead of the curve and people don't realize it. For the cost that man paid for surveys he could of gotten the Ruby that was already fully permitted. When this is all said and done people will realize how smart Perry was.
I stayed at a holiday inn once. Does that mean I can give my opinion. I think they are stockpiling stuff. The mill is not something you just fire up and run a few tons and shut down. I bet they get things running next week. Get that gold. Go NBRI.
Id also like to thank you as well. Having spent the day with Gary I can say how smart he is but what do I know he could have been blowing smoke but to hear it confirmed by someone in the know seems better. We all appreciate your knowledgable input.
There are a lot of things going on outside of the Ruby mine that continues to make NBRI a good investment. Sometimes DD has to take you away from message boards and websites to find but there is a lot of good information out there if one is willing to look for it. Companies do not have to PR everything they do but can still be found through a good search. Go NBRI.
I agree Bruce. If people would do a little digging and see what's really happening they would be singing a different tune. There's a lot of information available outside this forum and the website. Exciting times coming to NBRI.
This is just my opinion but I think what some are calling mining might be different in my view. I think they will pull out some ore this week and wait til the beginning of the week to process. If they are doing 4 10 hr shifts it could be that they are gonna wait til the beginning of their work week to start processing. The plant isn't something you just flip a switch and it's on so my guess is stock pile this week and process next week. Let's get that gold. Go NBRI.
Gemstone. I see more then a buck but what do I know. I'm going Saturday to look at a motor home. Go NBRI.
When I see tangiers and insiders start selling then I will start worrying but when insiders buy on the open market that tells me something. Go NBRI.
Stocktrotter. Were you back in Gary's office. He has compiled an abundance of maps and put together a wealth of knowledge about the Ruby. I wish that when I was there last November I could have understood it better. It was my first ever visit to a mine so it was kind of overwhelming for me. Glad you guys went and look forward to your insights. Go NBRI.
Foxwoods, I totally agree with you. I think part of the issue was with a previous miner that might have been giving unrealistic timelines that may have influenced Perry to post them. I could be wrong but for medical and personal reason he left the company when Mr Watters came on board and things really moved forward then. Go NBRI.
Agree with you Nag. Although I didn't hear anything different then what was out in the PR today. Go NBRI. We will be mining soon.
SKIPPACK, PA., August 18, 2014 – North Bay Resources Inc. (OTCQB: NBRI) (“North Bay” or the “Company”) is pleased to issue the follow progress report on our exploration efforts at the Ruby Mine in Sierra County, California, where mining is set to begin in the Black Channel this week.
Underground work at the Ruby Mine is presently focused on four concurrent headings. These include continued mining in the White Channel, driving the South Terrace Raise to the recently discovered terrace gravels, reinforcing and securing the entryway to the recently-constructed Big Bend Bypass Raise to the old workings upstream of the Big Bend, and the start of mining as well as continued exploration in the old workings downstream of the Big Bend in the southern extent of the Black Channel.
Mining in the Black Channel will begin this week, and will be initiated by driving a crosscut through pillars near the China Chute. The crosscut will allow easier access to the old workings, and will cut through some of the richest channel gravels downstream of the Big Bend. The crosscut will start at the top of the China Chute and run upstream for approximately 60 to 100 feet, cutting through 2 or 3 pillars. It is anticipated that the crosscut will produce significant gold. This area of the channel was extensively mined by previous operators, but large pillars up to 40 feet thick were left between old workings.
Also within the Black Channel, an ongoing exploration effort to locate additional mining targets has been underway within the old workings. Compressed air pipe and water lines have been extended and installed that allow for a portable sluice box to be moved from place to place. The miners locate prospective areas by metal detector or clues gained from experience and excavate the rock by pick or, at times, blasting. Gold recovered from specific locations is photographed and cataloged for the purpose of identifying the number of types and sources of gold.
The Company also reports that new gravels have been successfully intersected above the Black Channel as a result of a drill program that began two weeks ago and which is yielding positive results. This effort consists of long hole drilling with a standard air leg drill. These short holes, generally up to the 30 to 34 foot limit of the drill, are exploring for terrace gravels on the south rim of the Black Channel. At the Big Bend, terrace gravels were present 15 to 25 feet above the outer or south rim of the channel. We are attempting to locate the continuation of these terraces downstream, between the Big Bend and the China Chute. Six holes have been drilled to date, three of which successfully penetrated gravels. The elevation of the gravels indicates they are high gravels within the main Black Channel, not terrace gravels. The drilling will continue concurrent with the crosscut mining underway this week

About The Ruby Gold Project
The Ruby Mine, a/k/a the Ruby Gold Project, is a fully-permitted underground placer and lode mine located near Downieville in Sierra County, California that is known to have produced over 350,000 ounces of gold since the 1850’s, and which is considered to be part of the northern extension of the historic Mother Lode system. The Ruby Property covers approximately 2,312 contiguous acres, only a small portion of which has been explored to date. The property consists of the subsurface mineral rights of two patented claims totaling approximately 435 acres and 59 unpatented claims containing approximately 1,877 acres. The equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure in place include a 1,000 yard per day placer wash plant, 50-ton per day quartz mill, 6,000 feet of tracked haulage, and related support equipment needed for underground mining operations. The property also features an excellent system of roads, is accessible via paved highway from Reno or Sacramento, has abundant water and timber available for mining purposes, and has PG&E power available on-site. Good morning NBRI. I was away yesterday so missed all the fun. It's always darkest before the storm. Will be good to hear from the guys that were at the mine yesterday and get their first hand perspective. I'm not in the least bit concerned about our current price. It's coming. Go team Leopold.
NBRI, I think Gary Clifton has done a tremendous job of putting together alot of very good information about the Ruby. The new map put up on the website is very good information about what they did with the drilling program. If you read the NI 43-101 report that Gary Clifton put together, it is a very good source of information about the history of the mine and what the potential is. Even though some do not see it as meeting true guidelines, it is still a very good source of information that you can verify and do alot more DD using the references he has listed. I have been in several other mining stocks and really haven't seen one with as much transparency and verifiable information as I have with NBRI and The Ruby. They may have a ways to go before they are doing full-fledged mining but they sure do have some good information about where they want to go. Let's get the sampling going and let's find the gold. Looking forward to some good information this weekend from the guys making the mine visit.
Spanky, you know I have spent alot of time researching alot of the history of the Ruby and have posted alot of the references as such. I also know Gary has found alot of archived results from previous companies that would show these results. Do you know if there is anything in a public forum. Im not questioning the validity of it at all, I just like reading up on it. All and All I think it was a good day and looking forward to dollars soon.
Well at least we held our ground today. Seems accumulation just keeps getting better and better. Still looking for an update soon. Go NBRI.
Good to see you Bam and Lucky, always nice to have as many eyes on this as possible and get different perspectives. We are hoping for a good week with some news and with several shareholders making a visit to the mine on Friday we should get some good information about the progress we have going on at the Ruby mine. Here's to a good week. Go NBRI
Send an email to Perry. He will give you all the contact information. Although there are no gates or anything that would prevent you from driving up there and looking around I'm not sure that would work. They already have a large group going up there Friday so not sure any more could go. Gary wanted to keep it small when they go in the mine. It's well worth the trip if you can make the arrangements. Nothing better then seeing what's there in person. Good luck.
Next week should be an interesting week. Prob won't see anything until Tuesday and with several shareholders going out to the mine next week we should learn a lot about what's been happening. Will be great to compare notes with the guys. Go NBRI.
Spanky. Yes that's the white channel raise before they widened it per MSHA requirements. Looks we had a good week of buying which is good since there was no new gold and now PR's. Bet we get something next week and with the shareholders making a mine visit next weekend we should hear a lot. Will be interesting to talk to them and compare with my visit last November. Have a great weekend everyone.
I think the price held up pretty good considering all the selling today. Maybe we are at the bottom and soon ready to start moving up. Go NBRI.

I will state it again. To take one side and one side only and be rude and sarcastic to boot shows true colors. I won't justify cheerleaders but I take offense to continual negative, sarcastic and unfounded hatred. If you want to be a part of a reasonable, yet sometimes one sided conversations then acknowledge it. If you want to trash it with hatred and contempt then take it someplace else. Again it shows true colors and although is not technically a violation of the TOS should not be part of a reasonable exchange. Please take the hatred someplace else and let's keep reasonable and good open discussion an on going affair here. I am not referring to you personally. As the saying goes, if the shoe fits.
Under the scenario I proposed based on real facts it is possible to reach this kind of level of mining. Getting to that point the mine WOULD be profitable. I was only responding to a post about the Ruby being profitable. If and when we reach that point we have to live with toxic financing and I acknowledge that. When I mention true colors of some it means even under those possible scenarios there are those that refuse to ever acknowledge the possibility. We don't know but even in the worst case scenario under the worst conditions it is still a reasonable possibility. If some can't at least acknowledge there is a remote chance it could happen then we can see their true colors. Even you yourself have given percentages for success or failure. People can state there opinion, this is a free country but to not at least acknowledge possibilities shows there true colors and that is what I was referring to.
I always like to revisit that Gem. We will have more like this when the guys go there next week. Thanks.
Spanky. As you and the rest of the board know I don't do hyperbole. I base my research on actual real life visits. Most people can see that so the true colors are coming out and most reasonable people can see through that so I have stated my case and doubters will doubt regardless of facts.
Not sure how your math works but at $26,000.00 a day at 6 days a week so that's 7 to 800,000.00 a month. Current burn rate is in the $200,000.00 a month or less so at those figures it would be to the moon. Is my math different in Indiana then the rest of the country? I felt my scenario was a reasonable scenario based on actual facts and not speculation but some aren't satisfied with reasonable.
Anvil and Fox. Very reasonable and open ended discussion. Here my view since I have been in the mine and traveled all the way back in. A round trip from the mill to the black channel including loading time would be about an hr. Assuming 5 cars at 1 ton ea would be 5 tons a load or 5 tons an hr. I'm not sure the current infrastructure could handle more load so 5 tons an hr at .2 oz a ton and that's average grade would be an oz an hr times 20 hrs a day. That would be 2 10 hr shifts and down time to charge the trains or repairs. 20 oz a day would be reasonable. At $1300.00 an oz you would have about $26000.00 a day, 6 days a week. You do the math from there. If you look at the map of the Ruby tunnel you can see a sharp left turn half way through, there is a turnoff there that another train could pull off and let the second one come through so a second run an hr can also go OR the second train can load from a closer raise but again probably still reasonless turn around at 5 tons an hr. That's 800 tons a day and the mill is designed for 1000 tons a day. These are a lot of assumptions and at that capacity the old equipment will need upgrades. Profitable mining is easy attainable once full scall mining starts and eventful upgrades are made. No consideration has been made for specimen grade gold found. I am providing this information based on an actual day at the mine and spending the day with Gary. Go to the company website and look under videos on the front page and you will see one of my videos of the train ride in. They are not bullet trains.
By using the logic posted here when att announces the roll out date of a new iPhone but issues come up and it's delayed then att lied to us, the CEO must be corrupt and is worthless. When the city of Indianapolis tells me they are gonna fix the potholes on my street next week and it doesn't get done the mayor must obviously be a liar and a cheat. Perry gets excited sometimes about the progress and puts out timelines he feels is accurate and has missed some. In business stuff like that happens but I trust it will get done. Go NBRI.
Looking forward to updates from you and the guys. Gary Clifton is great and will go into detail with any questions you will have. Take good notes and lots of pics and we can compare progress to my visit in November. Don't forget what I told you about Gary. Lol. Go NBRI.
I agree. Sticky that. It is very well written and to the point. Go NBRI.
Slow and steady wins the race. Let's get this moving and make it a good week. Show us the goods Perry. Go NBRI.
Still looking for that golden chicken that knows the right thing instead of fantasy land. Will keep looking bit in the mean time let's get the Ruby going. Don't want no rotten cheese while are mining. Go NBRI.
Spin it any way you guys want to spin it. If your convoluted idea is NBRI is selling us a bill of goods then you will believe it til the cows come home. When NBRI is mining 10, 20, 40, 100, 1000, 10,000 oz of gold a day, a week, a month or whatever it is some will still remind us all about what was said last year, 2 years ago or 5 years ago but bottom line is slow and steady wins the race and Perry is following his business plan with a few hiccups along the way. Accept it or keep reminding us about it all you want but it doesn't change the fact that we will be mining soon and no one, I mean no one can change that. Go Perry and go NBRI.
With the right update which says they are now running material from any of the 3 target areas, I would expect a jump over $.02 a share. But that is just my opinion and nothing else.
