Thanks- well I get 45 minutes now instead of 30, so I'm sure I'll be able to cover SGLB this time. Hopefully commercialization in full swing by then
What an honor
I guess they liked my Melbourne presentation on 3D printing stocks.
I've been bumped up to featured speaker for the October 3DP conference in California.
http://www.inside3dprinting.com/santa-clara/2014/
I like/I'm in.
Hello Envirosciguy. Nothing new on SGLB really, but I believe the stock will do well in 2nd half of year as revenues grow (as they should be and commercialization is in full swing.
I can't share the presentation- it's the property of the Inside 3D Printing folks and can only be shared with conference attendees. If I break the rules, I may not get invited back.
But, I will be writing about GGG when trading begins. It will start on the Toronto Exchange, but listing in US OTC will come soon after.
I've met with the principal investors and like what I've seen about the company. Nice tight share structure...unlike Lomiko which (unfortunately) had a big dilution to raise $ for mining.
Graphene 3D Lab does have a new site up @ http://www.graphene3dlab.com/s/home.asp with an investor presentation you can download.
Enjoyed Melbourne a lot- very nice city.
Had dinner with a bunch of guys there, including T. Wohlers, so got some good conversation in with him.
My presentation included the TDPNX (3D Printing and Technology fund), GOE, ALMDG, (which I added to myself this morning after a big pullback Friday), ARCW, and a new play coming out in next week or two, GGG (3D Graphene Lab). Mostly on GGG I'd say.
Was going to talk about SGLB also, but ran out of time!
Interesting company in Australia that will also begin trading in next few weeks, called "3D Group" that has the largest FFF printer on the market, priced at about $90k. Printer has massive build volume.
I did a quick interview with the director- but my voice was a little scratchy at the time.
https://3dprintingstocks.com/3d-group/
Yes, but looks like ARCW chart put in a double top formation last week, so not expecting it to take off unless significant news.
So many popping lately!
Next up will be GGG when it starts trading!
It was my understanding in talking to Fidelity that GGRGF would be converted to GGRGY. That hasn't happened yet and I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer as to why.
I also know for a fact that a subsidiary of Fidelity was/is the company that set up trading in the grey market for GGRGF following my article. The Fidelity subsidiary is here:
https://nationalfinancial.fidelity.com/app/home?pos=T
I've had several conversations with the director of Fidelity's international trading group about this matter, and I'm am not happy at all with what I believe to be misleading statements I was given by him.
As a result I am in the process moving my Fidelity account positions to another account and closing out the Fidelity account. If I can't trust what I'm being told by someone at a high level at my broker, they're not going to be my broker any longer.
They don't have any Arcam machines at present, but was told they are considering it.
Was pretty bizarre close in this one!
Addition to the 3 different Russell indexes could make an exciting close today.
Even though rebalancing takes place after the close, I've seen stocks make moves going into the close on securities being added as people jump in and shorts cover.
Also seen it where it stays calm and you'd never know anything was happening- anybody's guess.
Added a little more ARCW yesterday and this morning.
Addition to 3 different Russell indexes after today's close will be a big positive in terms of recognition/awareness and volume going forward.
I should have the Q&A with CEO out next week also.
Added more ARCW yesterday and this morning.
Addition to 3 different Russell indexes after today's close will be a big positive.
Valuation
I think it's expensive personally, but it may do very well. Anybody's guess.
I just added SGLB st .113 today and like the story there better
Materialise (MTLS) to start trading today- priced at $12 (low end of range).
I'm going to sit this one out.
TKSTF up 36% since trading began in U.S.
This one's going much higher as people discover it.
A lot of P&D scams out there in pennyland 3DP stocks (DPSM, MDDD, PUGE), and Tinkerine ain't one of 'em.
$1.00 by eoy = market cap $42 million. Very doable given their business plan, management team, DittoPro launch, and business plan which will be more apparent in the coming weeks.
With current fiscal year over next week, and acquisitions announced, ARCW now says revenue (pro forma) will be > $120 million. FY 2013 revenue was $79 million. That's 52% revenue growth, and (unlike DDD, which had 45% revenue growth last year), it's non-dilutive.
I know...DDD is a pure play and ARCW isn't. But I think the market is beginning to, (and will continue to) see ARCW as a new 3D printing service provider with good fundamentals.
A market cap of $350-$400 million doesn't seem unreasonable to me. This is especially apparent when compared to Materialise IPO- (which will be priced tomorrow) and have market cap > $600 million based on low end of range.
Materialise had about $97 million in revenue in 2013 and made less EPS in all of 2013 @ .10/share than ARCW made in the last quarter @ .11/share.
So a share price of $25 + seems reasonable to me. A lot depends on overall market direction between now and eoy of course.
I'm holding my shares and will probably add if it gets below $16 again.
Sold SSYS today for 13% gain
DCA in AMAVF re-entry just over $22, so up about 40% and will hold but also have trailing stop in at 10% below current pps in case market (and AMAVF) heads south.
Love it!
I think ARCW (after a pullback maybe?) will do well going forward. It's cheap fundamentally, and it's being added to the Russell Global, the Russell 3000, and the Russell Microcap indexes after Friday's close.
That should provide more awareness/interest/liquidity.

Jefferies downgrades XONE this morning, so your short is probably good here
lol
re: "Probably would've popped 20% had Brean given them an outright SELL rating!"
Hi Doc- I think it's due to the news on Italy expansion. Also, Brean Capital came out with a "hold" rating on XONE today.
I'm with you insofar as if I were to go short any 3DP stock, it would probably be XONE.
However, chart doesn't look bad- has come off a double bottom in mid- April and mid-May, then tested it on light volume around June 12 and has gone up since. Technically, there are folks who might buy the stock because the chart looks good and 3DP stocks have been on an uptrend of late.
Got a partial fill, and will continue adding when opportunity presents
Correction- TKSTF has 41.6 million shares, not 37 million
Adding at .1065
Had a great meeting with management of Tinkerine Studios (TKSTF)
Was in Atlanta earlier this week meeting with them. They're in NYC rest of week introducing the company to institutional investors and securing additional market makers in the US.
I have to disclose that I've joined them as part of their investor/marketing team, which I am very happy to be a part of.
In truth, I've been contacted by several microcaps in the 3D space asking me to write about them (for payment), and I have turned them down because they were crap companies with no sales history and no product differentiation.
Tinkerine is very different as investors will come to realize in the coming weeks/months as they roll out their education push and launch their new DittoPro. Company has a member of Canadian Parliament on board as well as former management-level execs from Shapeways and MakerBot.
I'm 51 now- been trading stocks since my late teens, and I know the signs of P&D scams in penny-land. I believe Tinkerine is an exception and think $1+ is not at all out of the question by eoy.
Company has 37 million shares, so plenty of room to grow market cap above $37 million due to established sales history and education push, etc.
Here is an updated presentation for those interested in learning more:
http://www.tinkerine.com/investor/TS_Corporate_Presentation_0611.pdf
I'll have an intro article on them on my site- probably sometime next week.
Great news for ARCW! Congrats to all who bought in the low $12s with me on the "post-split depression".
Great news for ARCW! Congrats to all who bought in the low $12s with me on the "post-split depression".
$30 + today
Go Arcam!
Materialise IPO priced at $12-$14/share. At midpoint market cap will be $624 million or so.
ARCW by comparison has a market cap of $220 million and generated higher EPS @ .11/share in the last quarter alone than Materialise did for all of 2013.
(Materialise net income $4.7 million in 2013 / 47 million shares post IPO.)

I'm in airport heading to Atlanta today- meeting with management of Tinkerine Studios (TKSTF).
Very nice!
I've been buying DDD back the last few weeks and think the stock has seen it's lows for the year
I think the market misinterpreted the SGLB news personally, based on Friday's action.
Just got back from vacation and catching up- but I don't see any reason why the stock should have dropped 9% on this.
Hi rayank- I like CIMT yes, but the market sure doesn't.
Still own it, but not adding here.
I don't recall you're saying you shorted AMAVF 3 months ago, or SGLB either for that matter.
I'm only replying to you now because you directly replied to a post of mine. To be honest, I don't bother reading your opinions about the stocks in this space. This is because you are in error much of the time with regards to trading and investing in foreign securities, and you have a habit of posting (after the fact) that you shorted this at XYZ price, etc. when in fact you posted that you shorted it at 22.00.
That said, I only recently began re-entering AMAVF with a dca of $22.00. After the money I made being very long this and SGLB last year (the two best performing stocks in the space for 2013), I'm extremely content.
One difference between you and me is I understand trading of foreign securities and I believe you either do not, or you post inaccurate information in some futile attempt to (I guess) alter the price.
Another difference between you and me is I would never post something like:
"Small money gets mad because they can't change the tape", with the implication being you are not "small money" and anyone reading your post is.
A third difference between you and me is I have done extremely well both investing in and trading 3D printing stocks since 2010, but I don't feel the need to post all of my trades and try to belittle others with comments about "small money", and how you can move a stock. The truth is, almost ANYONE can move AMAVF (in the U.S. market) to some extent over the course of the day, so it's really not something to brag about.
And the last difference between us is I believe I have a much better understanding of the technology and the industry than you do.
That said, I wish you the best of luck.
Especially in your short of AMAVF which will make a very strong and sustained move when they begin announcing multiple- Arcam A20 printers/order as management has indicated they expect to, soon.
That's next month actually- July 9-10
