No pre-market PR today.
No one knows for sure what the holdup is.
Not good. Is anyone is contact with NNVC mgmt?
No, I didn't. Staying with what I've got. Keeping the risk a little lower for several reasons.
gettin real close to your "absurd" SP.
Another day of unexplained Management silence. Whatever the speculation as to it's cause, I think the silence will sink the SP until broken.
I'm buying under $2.
Doc-I'm pretty sure we are about to break that pattern. The question is whether it will be up with positive reults or down with continued management silence.
I got a little lighter at $2.40 and lighter still in the $2.20's. And I still think the "absurd"... without a PR we are under $2.
I agree with yuor position today. It is past time for some updates from Mgmt. THose who speculate on their possible excuses only add to the frustration.
Hey Wild, Thanks for the info.
Dan
Ok....but how about if I complain loudly and nprotect myself by selling lightly?
We revolt by selling...
The kool-aid party may be over??
Is there any basis in fact for the discussion about sensitive negotiations and the need to stay quiet during them? Or is this speculation?
Would not be surprised to be under 2 if no PR by Monday, perhaps lower. It's very strange to say you can't wait to update everyone and then not do it when presented the opportunity. Many apparently agree and are saying so by selling.
This could end up being another buying opportunity. Or it may be a trip down the tubes.
I'm speculating that the only stocks that should be in your portfolio these days are NNVC and maybe some utilities!
It seems like we are just inventing excuses for the continuing "quiet period". Is any of this based on communication with NNVC?
I SPECULATE that there are good reasons for no PR's. The market's weakness is a fairly lame excuse, in my view. I HOPE that the reason is something other than lousy test results.
Weedie I love your enthusiasm. Don't forget to use some of your profit to put in a pool heater!
Hoping for a substantial PR, but ready to buy more on the dips. After last week I now have more shares than ever, even more than 2007!
we shall see, Mr. Dane, we shall see...you may be right, there does not appear to be much panic at the bell due to no pr
still hoping for a pr..
Repeating yesterday's post, which some found absurd:
"If nothing happens Monday, be ready to buy more under 2 bucks!"
Get your orders in. I'm not selling anything, but I'm buying if the panic sets in.
We shall see, Mr. Dane....a nice pre-market PR could make the point moot.
If nothing happens Monday, be ready to buy more under 2 bucks!
BTW, For the time being I'm through trading and trying to play the price moves. It seems to me that now if the time to simply buy on weakness....selling on strength seems very risky in light of upcoming PR's.
If, no WHEN, we hit $20, I'm there, especially if it's winter here in St. Louis! It would be great fun to try to match people with their on-line personalities.
Some excellent points.
I think the mortgage the house comment was a joke.
A pre-market Monday PR would be nice ... even just an update on the progress of various studies. Even better, of course, would be some positive results!
Weedie, you are the best!
On the chance you were not kidding I offered my comment.
All the best to you.
Don't mortgage the house!
C'mon, everyone else, a few minutes left....Monday pre-market PR is coming!
I got my extra 2k
All right everybody, time to buy! We've got 10 minutes to get to a new high.
I'm in for 2k. Who else?
Ovidius-I'm not far from that. The fire sale the other day really helped.
I can wait until next week...no problem. If there is nothing next week, I'll be very disappointed.
Have to go to work this morning, but have the buy orders in if there's any weakness.
OK management, the "quiet period" is over...and WE NEED SOME NEWS!
BUY on any weakness today!
If the officers of NNVC are responsible, they will raise the money when they need it regardless of the stock price at that time. Hard to think they would consider anything alse.
I too would be very surprised if there were much of a discount to share price.
Things have gotten far too predictable around here. It NEVER stays this way for long periods of time. Not for any stock.
Hold on to your shares. A number of PR's will move the SP dramatically in the very near future. Up or down? Anyone's guess.
But the pattern in Dr. F's charts is too widely known for it to hold.
Off to a good start today.
No more trading for me this week. THe PR is near!
I don't remember a late week PR either. It's time to mix things up a bit. This goofy "quiet period" is irritating.
The pattern for this stock is getting way too predictable. Lots of people saw the sell-off/hard bounce coming and it still happened, almost exactly as predicted. Now that is pretty rare!
Dropped my average cost another decent amount. Just irritated that I was out of the office for the $1.70 trades.
"I think we can agree that it provides everyone involved some pretty high quality entertainment on many levels. :)"
It certainly does.
Looks like the shorts that covered today in the $1.70's made as much as 30+% if they shorted at the peak around $2.50. Not a bad return for a week or so. Seemed kinda obvious too.
Tempting ... hmmm .... no not really my game. SOunds like a good way to possibly lose a LOT.
Let's have a end of week PR and blow the rest of the shorts out of their position!
What a wild day. I guess the strength through the afternoon means that was the pullback. $1.70 works for me. It could have lasted a little longer! I went to work for a few hours and paid for it! Did not get any shares below $1.80
I'm not completely back in (83%) but still have $.30 or so to play with. We'll see....
Hey. I'm not going to say I saw this coming, but read my posts the last few days. Sometimes the pattern holds!
Is this the pullback? Who knows?
I didn't get any back below $1.80. I'm not 100% convinced this is the low point, although we almost hit the 50-day.
I appreciate the IRA idea, hadn't thought of that.
Trying to buy some back at the ask and I can't. What's up with that?
I don't look at it like that at all, but if that's how you see it, ot's ok. I know I'm in the minority, but I don't just sit and watch something drop...it often doesn't come back.
To me, each purchase is a discrete event that has to be evaluated on it's own merit. If I sell at $2.40 with an avg cost of $.25, I see that as highly profitable. THere's no guarantee the stock will ever be at $2.40 again. If I buy back at $1.75, I view that in the context of all the other things that could be done with the money. Paying tax now doesn't bother me.
paying tax means you made money...and that is pretty much a good thing
The absolutely critical question is whether it will stop at the 50-day. Without at least some announcement of the end of "quiet period" and the approval of the shelf registration, I'm not so sure.
I stopped selling as of a few days ago, now waiting for what Doc F. calls the "hard bounce".
I'm looking for the price to hit the 50-day m.a.
But this is far from science!
