we may be getting close to oversold..
mighty mighty quiet around here...
This is kind of cheating...The RSI on the daily chart is in the 30's...not oversold yet but getting close. 6 of the last 8 times the RSI daily got below 25 the stock price took off.
any particular reason for the skepticism?
interesting that some of the long-standing shareholders are lightening up
I like your TA, do the same thing myself. Doesn't work every time, but doesn't have to. You don't win every hand!
I for one, hope that you are right. I have some doubt, and waffle back and forth with it a little, but I want to see positive results as much as anyone.
The market couldn't figure out what it wanted to do today either.
I call it the way I see it, MR.DANE. lol
and for 7 bucks I just might go back to 100%...holding 7 more cents each
wow...what an exchange!
Do we really have a bounce off 2 bucks? Is 3 cents a bounce?
Regarding the sp chart, it's good to see the RSI under 50 with the price still above 2 bucks. We are definitely NOT Oversold, however.
Okay, a new study of HIV-cide at UCSF...sounds like a step forward on this to me, although not a big step....
NanoViricides, Inc. (OTC BB: NNVC.OB) (the "Company"), announced that it has signed a Research Agreement with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for testing of its anti-HIV drug candidates. Cheryl Stoddart, PhD, Assistant Professor in the UCSF Division of Experimental Medicine, will be the Principal Investigator.
Dr. Stoddart is a recognized investigator in preclinical studies of anti-HIV compounds using the standard SCID-hu Thy/Liv humanized mouse model. In particular, she is well known for her work in validating that this mouse model is capable of accurately predicting clinical antiviral efficacy in humans. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has recognized UCSF as an important site for anti-HIV drug screening studies.
Dr. Stoddart's in-vivo testing of anti-HIV nanoviricides will complement the Company's previously announced in-vitro anti-HIV testing that is currently underway at the Southern Research Institute in Frederick, MD.
The Company has previously performed anti-HIV nanoviricides testing in vivo at KARD Scientific, Beverly, MA. In these studies, several nanoviricide drug candidates were shown to have equal effectiveness in terms of multiple parameters to a clinical anti-HIV HAART three-drug cocktail. The HAART cocktail drugs were administered at a much greater total dosage (4,100 mg/kg of HAART) than the nanoviricides (only 150mg/kg of the nanoviricides). This study evaluated several parameters including the reduction of HIV viral load, improvement in CD4+/CD8+ double-positive human T cells, and HIV particle count inside human T cells in the transplant, among others. The best nanoviricide drug candidate was greater than 25X (2,500%) superior to the HAART drug cocktail based on the amount of drug that produced comparable or superior effect. If these results are indicative of clinical response in humans, the Company believes that HIVCide(TM), its lead drug candidate against HIV, may constitute a "functional cure" for HIV/AIDS, either by itself, or in combination with existing therapies.
"We are very interested to find out how our prior results compare to the standardized studies in Dr. Stoddart's lab," said Anil R. Diwan, PhD, President of the Company.
Hey Doc, what does your chart look like lately?
I guess absurd is my middle name. The market agrees with me.
cool recipe, doc.
Yeah, I get called absurd a lot. The news was certainly greeted ho-hum by the market. The new test actually was a cause for concern to me, since it seems we can't get out of the pre-clinical (cell culture/animal) phase. That COULD mean there are issues with formulae...maybe side effects, or possibly ineffectiveness.
You are right about the possible HSV/Cancer link...that is news, and I should not overlook that. The release I read did not mention it specifically, though.
I follow the stock closely, read all the releases, and have actually read all the recent filings. I found today's PR amusing since it was simply a repeat of Wednesday's, not yesterday's. Was there a point to that? Maybe someone could enlighten me?
I don't want to be negative on the stock, just realistic. I hold a lot of shares today without having put out a lot of money...it's a star performer for me. Again, I just want to be realistic.
3 PR's but no news this week. HMMMMM.
I am simply looking for results!
This type of PR is interesting but will not drive the SP. What will drive it is a RESULT...good or bad.
I don't think this a penny stock anymore.
IMO, the reason there is no lock is simply volatility. Lock in at $2 and the price soars...bad deal for NNVC. If the price plummets, bad deal for Seaside. Seems only fair to float it and lock in the discount.
It really could be that simple.
Hey! Thanks for the buying opportunity today! I missed the last one and it is very nice to be fully long again. let's have a PR!!!
Now 2.28 Ask. We may go positive, folks!
$2.24. I'm up >14 in less than an hour. Hold or take the $?
Hold.
I followed the Valence debacle very closely a few years back (went up with it and then down as well, unfortunately) and the issue was their products. THeir "N" charge system just didn't meet the market's needs.
Same thing could happen here if NNVC products don't deliver, or if they wait around so long that something better comes along. Both are real risks.
Clearly it's a gamble, but I'm already in. $2.10 looked inviting! Maybe now there will be some news???
Looking at the action this morning, the deal appears to have generated little buy or sell pressure. Certainly the volume hasn't really spiked.
looks like we have a buying opportunity!
that may be illegal, nor at least not allowed per the agreement. (i hope)
What this means is with a share price around $2.30, they are paying about $1.95. So given that the placement has a $5million value, NNVC gets about 4.5million after fees and then hands out 2.6 million shares at a .55 discount/share, "costing" another 1.4million bucks.
jeeesh...No wonder the financing people hold all the worlds wealth.
That is certainly a valid point. Plus, the additional $5Million adds about 9 months of operating funds, per Dr. Diwan's statement. Previous burn rate was around/under $5million annually. So in the statement Dr. Diwan may be implying some ramp up in activity level, which, if true, would be great.
I agree. This appears to have been well done. I would personaly have liked to see it a little more aggressive (10Million or more) which would imply higher anticipated operating costs...i.e. some real live trials. But this may just be the first phase???
I hope you are right!
I see my trading shares came back today in the mid $2.20's. Think I'm all in for a while now.
Equally plausible in my view re EKC-CIDE:
Mystery Pharma is working on an alternate formula that has plausible deniability as far as patent infringement. This is the paranoid view that offsets the Kool-Aid view advanced by others on this board.
Or....
Mystery Pharma has done virtually nothing at all...this is IMO the most likely scenario.
Still looking (hoping?) for a PR of some sort
very impressive results!
Mighty quiet on the board today...without a PR, look for "softness" tomorrow...maybe all the way back to the "absurd" level...lol
Dr. F...it seems most likely that those data streams are just a bunch of BS. That whole analysis is probably what is screwed up. That seems a simpler explanation than total market manipulation by the "illuminati".
Although I must admit I'm distrubed by a lot of what's coming out on Goldman.
lol yeah! 300 would be fantastic! I wonder if it would be ok with anyone to take some profit at that price!
i hope it reaches 25.00 today
jeesh lol
Today will likely be kinda boring compared to some wild swings in the overall market.
Still expect softness in NNVC due to no news.
I admit it! lol
give me a break
you figure you're the only one doing that?
it's the PR or lack thereof that helps create those dips
That post implied that a PR or several PR's were coming at the end of the Quiet Period. So we are getting pretty far overdue for some sort of update.
