Hey Vans,
Without intending to be personal, whatever happened to the Golden Cross??..
Terrible times for the stock. Everyday almost a new low. What's happening?
Hi Mike
You are welcome. Another shitty day with no news and the MMs continuing to screw our happiness.
Good Luck though as wait is all that we can do.
Folks
Here is an old but interesting presentation on Anti Counterfeiting Strategies. Informative about how brands should approach and select a technology.
http://www.hwsands.com/files/Presentations/IQPC%20Workshop%20final.pdf
Talks of DNA being good but expensive. Hope that this has now changed over the years and APDN can convince users that it is not expensive any more.
Could be the mindset that prevents this technology from taking off.
Sorry Mike for being one of the lot that cribs about the pps but I can't take this anymore. Have to let out my frustration.
Regarding writing to Debbie, I have done that multiple times including an e-mail today. She is too smart to give an answer. We have no choice but to wait for that early morning news to appear in the press and then someone posting it on this board.
I am on the verge of becoming negative on APDN with the pps fast approaching my average price.
The problem is that this still does not seem to have caught the fancy of major industry players.
The media needs to talk a lot more about the counterfeit industry and APDN as a great solution provider. Probably that will get more investors to the board. Today the only folks who seem to be talking about this are the IHub and Yahoo board members.
Is taking them too long.
Nothing has changed except for the pps which is now lower and the revenue model remains a mystery.
You could check back after another 4/5 months.
Very true.
Getting on my nerves now.
Going from bad to worse. So do we see below 12 now.
Just awful. Nothing happening out here.
Our problem TG is the fact that most of our partnerships probably fetch more revenue for the partners.
If not, we would not have been struggling like this after a multitude of partnerships announced with some world leading names. I keep wondering what kind of a revenue model do we have. Names like Markem Image, Brinks, Disc, Nissha etc should have taken us places. What the hell is happening with Supina, Dawson and now this Polyolefin thing. Cash-in-transit in UK and Poland, homes in UK and Stockholm..............
The trend in the last few months has been just awful. Nothing sensational happening.
A good reassuring summary.
People just need to be more aware of this technology. This has to be picked up by some popular consumer product company and that will get us the eyeballs and hopefully the investors.
Have a great weekend.
This has been a big let down. I hope we don't go below 12 now.
Never expected to return to these levels after the mandate. We should have been in the 30s or higher after the mandate. All the hype of the mandate has been of no use. No volume, no interest in the stock. I wonder whether any big investor is even noticing this stock like what we are witnessing in the fuel cell stocks.
Just don't think this has the caught the attention of people.
I do agree that the DLA mandate has helped validate the technology and given them an edge.
All I am saying is that I hope they have an ideal revenue model. With all these contracts coming, I would like to see the revenue increasing by leaps and bounds.
Oh they can mark anything. You can add marking Homes to the list.
My worry is what do get for each mark. Somehow they do not seem to be making enough money per mark. Their revenue should somehow be linked to the volume of goods/items marked.
Morning AG,
Stuck in the 12-13 range as usual. We had a couple of good PRs in between but as usual no impact.
All waiting for the DLA / MDA announcements.
Absolutely no two opinions on that. In fact I don't doubt for a minute the great potential for this technology in today's world.
What I worry about is the revenue model. I hope APDN has got that right and can effectively exploit the tremendous potential that lies untapped today.
That has to be seen in ever increasing revenues and the investors should see it that way.
The only thing that concerns me is that we talk about so many partnerships and new ventures but the revenues do not appear to reflect the same kind of growth.
Now let's not talk of percentages as on a small base any increase will look large but last quarters revenue for eg. was disappointingly short of expectations. There again, from the reasons given, we seem to be depending too much on the DLA contract.
My question always has been, what about the other verticals. Are those commercially successful for APDN? Or are the partners deriving more monetary benefit from the technology. I hope APDN has got the business model right. Have never understood there pricing strategy.
Yes A1. It also talks about massive quantities of Plastic Parts but yet look at the pps. No positive impact.
Strange.
Very true Kbar.
Can't help watching the pps day in and day out. Got get away from this stock for awhile. Nothing significant happening out here.
Every new PR takes this lower and lower. Surprising.
Just hope that it does not go below 12 cents. Should stop issuing PRs at this rate.
Good to have you back Dizy.
Will these MMs ever leave us alone? They seem to have a strangle hold on the pps.
No amount of news makes any difference. Fail to understand their game.
Good Luck.
That will be " Aaw Jo" which means "Do come back " in Gujarati but also means Goodbye informally.
Great effort A1. I tried doing that and gave up. You are very tenacious.
If not for our sake, at least for your sake this stock price should explode.
Hi Mike,

The presentations are on the right hand side of the page under Related Documents.
We are going thru a rough period Mike. This dam thing is shaking my confidence.
You can check this out

I use this one.
Thanks A1.
Is this good news or is it another one of their trial runs as usual. The only difference I see is that they have been paid some upfront money.
What kind of a market is this. Why no PR on this??
The problem is that I am not even able to get myself to sell the stock and invest the money in some other lively stocks that I am following.
That's because I feel that this might just explode one of these days. The wait is frustrating.
That's a bad sign. Zacks was their only supporter.
Oh there you are.
Good to have you around. I can understand your frustration. I am worst of than you. Can't bear to see the way the stock price is moving.
God knows whether we have any hopes of doing well in the near term. Somehow I feel that APDN has not succeeded in converting this into a commercial success or at least convincing investors about the future commercial potential of this technology. The same set of MMs keep fooling around with the stock in the 12.5 - 13.5 range.
Our ever reliable Dizzy also seems to have lost interest in this stock.
No L2s being posted. Now down to .1236. Hell where the hell is the expected reversal and uptrend.
From the presentation which Janice made to the DOD, the only thing that is clear is that Phase I is complete.
APDN must have submitted their proposal for Phase II. The MDA seems to be taking its own sweet time. The sad part is that despite the success with the DLA, there does not seem to be a complete buy in for APDN's technology. Unfortunately even the industry does not support it completely. As a result, DOD keeps looking for alternate methods instead of forging ahead with APDN.
This can be an endless wait. All the more necessary for APDN to succeed with other industry verticals.
Wonder what the revenue for the last qtr would be like.
Rochester as usual makes a presentation that Authorized sources should be used and not trusted sources.
They had nothing else to say other than that Authenticity does not mean Reliability.
Short presentation.
I went through Janice's presentation.
Besides talking about the need to include other classifications, the only other point of relevance is that she very clearly states that Phase I of the MDA program is complete but no mention of Phase II.
Oh. I did not realized that. The date was current.
However it does talk about expanding to include Resistors and Connectors. Hence I thought it might be new.
An interesting article on the DLA's DNA marking program.
http://www.dla.mil/Loglines/Pages/LoglinesJF2013Story07.aspx
Talks of expanding the program to include connectors and Resistors.
When?????
Yeah Pasta,
On the other hand look at the Fuel Cell Industry stocks. We are talking of a much bigger market for counterfeit goods.
Just on sheer future potential, we should have been way higher. Instead we end another day, down 2.4%. I am pretty sure that this is some kind of a manipulated play.
That ends Mar, without an announcement. No updates on the talk that Janice had with DOD.
Yeah Yip
Can't believe that we are where we are. From all that has been published, we should have been near a dollar by now.
I am so frustrated with this 13 number that I have forgotten all other numbers. Can't count beyond 13 and I see the number 13 everywhere.
Although it's 2014, it feels like its 2013. Time stood still!!
Are we going to move ahead or have the engines stalled????
LOL and Good Luck.
It is really shocking that with such clear evidence of counterfeiting, the DOD is still hesitating to go all out with DNA marking, trying to get the industry consensus.
DLA should simply go ahead and expand the mandate right away. Other departments should also follow. What are they waiting for.
Yeh Mike
I have been picking on both Mitchell and Debbie's brains over the last few weeks.
They have started responding to my mails promptly but that's about it. Both of them have not answered any of my questions under the pretext of the Fair Disclosure Policy but have at least bothered to call me and assure me that they are trying their best.
I was surprised by Mitchell when he acknowledged my mail today on a Sunday.
Sleep well and hope next week brings us some good fortune.
Surprising. Got an acknowledgement from Mitchell already despite it being a Sunday.
Has said that he would forward the links to Janice and others concerned.
Regards.
