Yes indeed, I think those GPS patents in hindsight will turn out to be the deal of a lifetime.
Reminds me in 1999 when CIEN bought Lightera and got the deal of the century RIGHT before the optical explosion. They got their OEO switch (still one of the best on the market, now CoreDirector) for 500million then Nortel turns around and spends 3.25billion on Xros' OOO switch (NT just killed them off in March).
Sometimes being first at bat pays off.
bigbiggirl: read my previous post. EOM
pennyheaven, read my previous post to answer your question. EOM
RonMexico: If you've been reading here as of late, and I know you have, you should've seen this TS "tease" that stated exactly that very fact. From his teaser over a MONTH ago...
"Based on the activities of the last week, I can forecast that this firm expects to announce a Fortune 100 company equity/licensing deal in the very near future - and we should expect to see the stock at $1 or more near-term as a result.
In fact, management borrowed $10 million from Cornell Capital to be ready for this deal, it appears. Why?
Put yourself in their position: if you had a Fortune 100 firm like Microsoft or Intel talking about taking a 19.9% position in your company AND a licensing deal for $5M or so, would YOU want to make the final terms with just $2M in the bank?
No way!
The deal will be final confirmation that their proprietary
PaperClick product is going to be the primary technology for
machine-read URLs. But they only get the best terms with MSFT, et al, if they can show they DON'T need their money too badly."
y3xxx: Ahhh, the sincerity. How refreshing. eom
Hearing that from you, jd_6 speaks volumes. EOM
10Q...Lookin' good! EOM
OT: Don't worry, only 6 posts left. ;) EOM
OT: ALYNNB, no room for humans around here. EOM
OT: OK, I guess you can blame for me a vast majority of the recent "OT's". But, heck, can't we have a little fun around here? All business, all the time? Please.
Although I'm new around here compared to many, I feel as part of a "family" sorta here and if you can't joke and have some fun w/ your own "family", that is a sad day indeed.
When you meet me in Vegas, you'll know it. I'll be the one grinnin' EAR TO EAR!
LONG & STRONG & LOVIN' THE RIDE!!!
JP/Personalizit/Success: If you PP me and tell me to stop, I'll respect your wishes.
Thanx for the indulgence.
BACK TO WORK, PRIVATES!

OT: GOTTA LIKA LONGA LEGGID DOJI! :) EOM
OT: alexandre, "lowering the boom"...in other words speaking your mind w/ authority and following through w/ action. But, since you're not a moderator here, that's the best you can do. I for one appreciate it.
Nothing peeves me off more than the actions/comments you described.
I mean, c'mon, this is about investing your hard earned dollars not a game of Tiddly-Winks. This is SERIOUS BUSINESS!!
I enjoy your posts...keep 'em comin'!

alexandre: Thanx for lowering the boom! EOM

RonMexico: EOM = End of Message (so folks know that if it can be read on the subject line, no need to look further).
And, DOH!...ever watched the Simpsons?
Homer: "DOH!"
:)
RonMexico: THANK YOU! I had missed that. DOH! EOM
ss9173: Don't forget INTL. EOM
beacon27: PC=PaperClick EOM
moxa1: Even if NeoMedia doesn't derive any fees for/from that is beside the point, IMO. If what I think comes to fruition, just the fact that PC would be a part of every new cellphone that encorporates their chip will be the key and the path to success.
It goes hand in hand w/ the P&G theory...instantly "everything" would be "turned on".
Unbelievable. Da' suspense is KEELING ME! lol!
C L I C K
beacon27: My thought is that PC will automatically be in the new line of "smartphones" by virtue of the Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones.

P&G's got my vote.
Duncan, and if it's P&G taking a 20% stake in NEOM you KNOW they'll certainly benefit from price breaks.
Makes more and more sense the more and more I think about it.
OT: Yes, Thanx JP! EOM
Exactly, fleshpedal, and what really does PaperClick represent but THE new way to advertise.
P&G's got my vote.
OT: cloud8, nice...BINGO! EOM
OT: I think those candlesticks will be confirmed. EOM
wishfulthinking: Good find. Do you plan on contacting Henrik Schumann-Olsen for "more info" or to perhaps give him some info he may not be aware of? If not, I will if nobody else has?
Before that though, does anybody know if NeoMedia's aware of them?
Thanx,
lns
OT: Nice find, BTW, fleshpedal and Welcome! EOM
MobileMarketingRoadShow: Is anyone from here able to attend to hear what CF has to say? I'm sure we have a pretty good idea but it would be great to have a resident fly-on-the-wall to hear firsthand and guage the reception.
Just curious,
lns
Exactly, Wolfin. I think if things pan out the rest of this year as we all are expecting/hoping/praying for w/ NEOM, then this will be one stock/company that will be able to weather the "perfect storm" you are predicting. Not saying the "perfect storm" you predict is going to hit or not going to hit (I'm no economist), but if it does, this stock/company should prevail.
It should prevail simply because although an economy may slip into recession mode, being a capitalistic society one thing will and MUST remain fairly constant...and that is ADVERTISING!
Couple that w/ the cost effectiveness that m-commerce will create, it'll be a no-brainer for companies to continue down that path if they want to continue to get their "word out" with the best rate of return as possible.
Gotta love it
OT: Thanx for the clarification, movieguy. eom
movieguy: I don't know about the "launch" of the WordRegistry, but you can already "secure" your "PaperClick Words"
From PaperClick website:
"Secure your PaperClick Words™ via the WordRegistry™ today! Contact us for details and pricing."
Seems to me it's already "launched"...maybe not out of the atmosphere yet, but it's left the tarmac.
