cloud8: "goofy and unprofessional"...isn't that what "Sir" Richard Branson is all about!? lol!! (in reference to his recent use of nurses in that publicity things he did not too long ago that really riled up some nurse organizations)
cabbie70: IMO, it has to do w/ billing and the entire infrastructure surrounding that function. If things explode the way they are anticipated, NeoMedia will need a very streamlined system in place to handle all aspects of that. That's what BSDS/Triton can deliver.

BSD Software Inc, formerly Bsd Healthcare Industries, Inc., throught its wholly owned subsidiary, Triton Global Communications, Inc., is a provider of billing, clearinghouse and information management services to the telecommunications industry.

boknows 1: Exactly. SWAG: To me this looks like classic price decrease while the MACD drives north to the zero line. Then BOOM! once it crosses it.
Now's the time to definitely buy, IMO, for those w/ "dry powder" left in their kegs.
beacon27: Did you miss these words in the NR...
"Both companies have left the table happy and with what they wanted," said Chas W. Fritz, founder and chairman of NeoMedia. "NeoMedia has again seen its patent portfolio remain strong and protected, Virgin gains the right to move forward as a licensed user of that technology through the next decade in its music and movie retail stores, and the lawsuit will be withdrawn."
Using the example you provided, I would NOT be happy w/ that type of settlement. I think an example, along the lines you provided, more aptly applied to this would rather read:
"You try to steal my car. I have talks with you. We reach an agreement!! The agreement is: You get the "F" away from my property before I beat the shi* out of you and turn you in to the police. A "win/win" agreement, i.e, I keep my car intact and you keep your pretty face intact and your freedom."
Do you have faith that NeoMedia's management are doing the right things in regards to their and their shareholders best interests? I, for one, do.
As in all companies...they can only be as successful as the management is savvy. It appears to me that NeoMedia is chock-full of savvy businessmen.
OT: koko, you left out the funniest line of the blurb...
"Looking for your do-gooder action of the day?" lol!
Actually though, I could see how this may have a positive impact on more than one front being held in front of the Virgin MegaStore in Union Square, NYC. Fringe exposure??? ;)
Clickity click click!
Let's go NEOM!
OT: Sorry, that should've been SWAG: EOM
I'm probably wrong on this, but I would suspect that in the next couple weeks we could see some real big news...equity partner, if TS is right in his "prediction".
IMO, That in timing w/ the MACD I see set to move back across the zero line heading north will just make this thing EXPLODE and I mean EXPLODE! On my chart that I use, it's been 3 YEARS since the MACD has been as low as it's gotten over the past couple weeks. :)
Holdin' long. Livin' strong. Lovin' the ride.
lns
OT: SeriousMoney, and he'll call you a PIG for holding long and strong. LOL!! EOM
SOG: LOL!! EOM
What a way to put a spring in ones step! EOM
OT: mudrez, hopefully they'll tend to the distribution of the aid much better this time having evidenced what happened before w/ their good intentioned efforts.
It sucks, but the facts are the facts and the truth hurts sometimes. Like I said, hopefully the organizers learned something.
It's just like politics here...throwing money on a fire only makes it burn hotter.
OT: Careful, Tonguehair, now that's the second time you made me laugh! :) Thanx, lns
OT: Unfortunately, poverty will never be made history. Why? Because there are too many corrupt regimes in control of too many countries. It's that simple. That's why the original "LiveAid" concert and "We are the World" didn't make a dent compared to the amount of dollars they raised. Rather, it accomplished the opposite effect and wound up aiding to the slaughter and starvation of countless people rather than feeding them.
Noble cause but if there's even one family in America that goes hungry because we gave the food/money to a country ruled by a despot leader, shame on us.
Believe it or not, two billion people can be wrong.
OT: King, LA riots: "Why can't we all just get along?" :) eom
Alright, Rodney. lol! :) eom
beacon27: I didn't accuse, I "wondered" and I think pvc can reply for himself. That's alright, I'm thick skinned. lns
pvc: Wow, did you have to yell that? OUCH! If you're talking about the subject at hand, "NextBus", I guess nothing would stop them, but I don't know if Hypertags will work w/ NextBus' system. But, I'm no expert on this and don't have the time to fully investigate. This is what I found though:
From Hypertag's website...
"With the Hypertag service there is no access to internet web sites and content is strictly controlled by the Tag owner. No software is required on the mobile device."
http://www.hypertag.co.uk/Technical/Home.jsp
From NextBus' website...
"The predictions are then made available on the World Wide Web and to wireless devices including signs at bus stops and business, internet capable cell phones, Palm Pilots, and other Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)."
http://www.nextbus.com/corporate/works/index.htm
"Linking the Physical World to the Internet" is what PaperClick's all about.
Again, I was just thinking off the top of my head of possible POSITIVE ties w/ PaperClick (you know, being OPTIMISTIC regarding the company I'm invested in). You, on the other hand, seem to be thinking more of positive ties w/ other companies, or, better put, NEGATIVE outcomes where NeoMedia's concerned (especially since you "yelled" it).
Makes me wonder about your status as a NEOM shareholder and your agenda for posting here.
Just my observations.
lns
ss9173: Good digging. Just thinking off the top of my head regarding your comment, if they (NextBus) were to work deals w/ every major city to put a "NextBus" barcode on the bus stop and/or bus schedule pamphlets, the user could just scan the barcode (using PC of course ;) to get not only the "static" scheduled time of arrival but also the "real" time of estimated arrival.
I wonder what, if anything, would hinder them from doing the same for other public means of transportation; planes, trains, ferries, etc...
Wouldn't that be great...just scan your ticket barcode and instantly see how late your plane will be. Easy, no-hassle, great for business travelers, IMO.
vines3: Here's a link to the NR that explains the relationship between Shelron and Shopping.com:
http://www.shareholder.com/visitors/print_release.cfm?releaseid=150775
margin debt: This is about as much as one can get publicy...
From the 10K: During 2003, NeoMedia unveiled the go-to-market strategy for its PaperClick(R) suite of products. Over the past several months, NeoMedia has signed contracts with several key partners outlined in the strategy, including
agents and resellers Big Gig Strategies (United Kingdom), SRP Consulting (USA), AURA Digital Communications (Australia), Relyco (USA), E&I Marketing (Taiwan), Deusto Sistemas (Spain), Nextcode Corporation (USA), and Jorge Christen and Partners LLP (Mexico). NeoMedia has also teamed with systems integrator SAIC to create the PaperClick(R) WordRegistryTM, and European advertising agency 12Snap. In June 2004, NeoMedia entered into a collaborative agreement with Intel Corporation for NeoMedia's PaperClick(R) mobile connectivity platform to operate on the recently introduced Intel PXA27x processor family-based cellular phones."

alexandre: The day's not over! :) EOM
Ahhh, Thanx, ss9173 and success. eom
edster1: I don't subscribe. eom
ss9173: Although KGR may have misspelled "AirClic" as "AirClick" in his post here, that doesn't negate the fact that "AirClic" is no longer present on Nextel's and Symbian's website listed under "Partners" as they were some months ago, according to KGR.
That does seem pretty strange now, doesn't it?
I see that they aren't there now and I personally can't say if they were there before, but if they were, what happened that they aren't there now? (not that I expect an answer)
I still think it's good digging and maybe another piece of the puzzle or another dot to be connected.
All will come out in due time though, as we know.
KGR: Wow, now that's some digging. I think you may be onto something. Thank you for that. Have a great time. lns
Whoa, aztreedoc, where did that come from? Interesting thought. I have no clue. I personally think TS is referring to BSDS, but who knows. Something else up the sleaves of NEOM??? :)
AmericanBulls: Confirming what we already know...
http://www.americanbulls.com/StockPage.asp?CompanyTicker=NEOM%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&MarketTicker=...
Looks like CF let us down today...no S4 filing. Maybe he know's we're onto him? LOL!!
"Keep 'em guessing. Keep 'em guessing."
Personalizit: "UNCLE!" Let's MOVE! :) EOM
Tonguehair: Good reply. LOL!!! Welcome. eom
S4: Tick Tock Tick Tock ...eom
beacon, like I said, they have their own reasons and there's a myriad of them. Nobody can really answer your question. Maybe this will help...
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/01/072501.asp
beacon27: All companies have their own reasons for going public and what they do w/ their shares once public. It's their own decision. The better person to ask that question is Warren Buffet. Berkshire Hathaway only has 1.54 million shares outstanding. Go figure.

SeriousMoney: This is what I said to woogerbear yesterday...
"woogerbear: Remember, if recent history is any guide we should see something on Friday after hours, namely, an S4 showing CF having sold some more shares this week followed with a news release of some sort early next week regarding PaperClick.
Look for news Monday or Tuesday."
:)
moxa1: IMO, look for it early next week. EOM
OT: Nice thought and sentiment, but who's it gonna really help? The poor starving people who they WANT the money/food/aid to go to or the crooked, evil rulers of those countries which is home to all those poor/starving/sick people they're trying to help.
Look what happened last time. With Satan's helpers blocking the gate, not much can get through.
Can't just throw money at a situation and expect all to be better. If you ask me, this is nothing more than a "feel good" campaign for all those involved who make millions satisfying their own carnal desires, trying to make up for a sense of guilt on their own part.
If people want to really give and make a difference, look in your own back yard. Plenty of help needed there. It all starts at home.
Just my own thoughts.
lns
woogerbear: I would if I could but I don't know your email address. If you could include me, you can find mine in my profile. TIA, lns
BTW, did you ever get that PP I sent you a couple weeks ago?
OT: Cabernet: Yeah, I should catch-up on the posts before I post. I did so because I didn't see a reply. Thanx, lns
Cabernet/jonesieatl/May West: Here's a refresher on the NEOM/SHRN LOI...
http://www.neom.com/press_releases/2005/20050125.jsp
Ooops, only now am I seeing you already posted it, Cabernet. Sorry. A repeat never hurts. lns
