did the career thing long enough.

ifu...i'm not goin' anywhere yet either, but it makes me crazy that most of the posts here assume pphm has the equivalent of anti-gravity and the investment community is so stupid.....
goat/CP...i stand corrected (for the moment)
perhaps the proxy after the bell tonite explains the lousy pps?
my other 7 biotechs are all up 3-5% today. pphm? not so much...
looks like wall street wasn't waiting for lawsuits to be resolved after all. what a surprise.
I'll join you two.
I'm loving this. Bought on the spike almost a year ago in the 8's...been waiting for a pullback to add for a couple of weeks. Now I suspect there won't be one.
Did very well with heartware..expect to do much better here...
If that recap had been written by piper jaffrey instead of CP...we would spike on Monday morning.
So...Silverback....
Are you going to share anything here about you Yahoo Mb post yesterday?
Dew Diligence deserves to be thrashed here...why?
Nothing the pumpers here spew results in a higher Pps...and I'm here for THAT
Dead money. I ignored all the signs yet again.
if they don't partner in the near term Wedbush certainly won't be inviting them back!
those conferences did wonders.
the PR isn't fluff, but it does imply that trial proof of what they are now saying is a highly significant discovery remains years away.
it's a little like starting trials over...and that's big dilution without major partnership support.
i'm no kid. my timeline is not open-ended.
YES! I AM BOTHERED BY THEIR INABILITY TO MONETIZE THE SCIENCE UP TILL NOW!
if the science is really breakthrough quality, make a deal of SOME kind to stop the dilution and get the pps moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i haven't sold...but i'm not happy about further dilution.
NONE of the bright scenarios for success that have been painted as being imminent over the last 4 or 5 years have come to pass, including those put forth by the company as well as by the usual suspects posting here (if we ignore the original september spike last year, which the pros are...).
so what year will it be? it wasn't any of the last 10.
and we're back down to 1.43, so Big Money thinks there's no hurry to get in.... If we go it alone, they'll come in later, after another 20 to 50% dilution....
since the 3mg dose for nsclc was not based on what they now say they know about how bavi works re: sequencing, how in the world can people here expect BTD???? it hasn't even been tested in humans in the manner in which they are now saying it should work better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i suspect we're a long way from commercialization....longer than many here have been assuming.
1400 papers and wall street doesn't know about any of them....
i am waiting for a single word to change.
'negotiations' needs to replace 'discussions'.
i might settle for 'advanced discussions'.
yeah
2014 will be the year...
you gotta be s#ittin' me
now THAT'S the best one in a while
shorts may be covering, but is somebody expecting something significant from the conference? is stuff leaking yet again?
strangest bid/ask volumes i've seen here
today's action seems to have triggered some programs....
i hope you can manage to get out for 18!
AF and RF are very bright guys...no doubt about it. I have to admit, I follow RF and don't regret having acted on his opinions in a few instances.
They are often right, but not always, as you say. Who is?
Looks to me like PPHM's science has several ways it can turn into a profitable investment because the potential is so broad. I'm surprised these guys feel so certain it's going nowhere, and I suspect they'd be better off remaining quiet at this point rather than looking silly down the road.
they're just so nasty about it all!
the hiring doesn't tell us much regarding market cap/share price moves.
the fact remains that without a partner, dilution will be massive within 12 months.
partner up!
yep, i can sell, but i won't at this level for a while yet (although PPHM continued to after they said they wouldn't). i have to admit, though...the longer i hang on, the dumber i feel.
i don't agree that it's all about cheap options, but the BOD definitely smells bad.
i am flabbergasted that so many posters here can continue to believe our BOD has its act together.
1.40-ish, people!
NO wave of optimism from the scientific community
NO wave of confidence from wall street
NO buyers
even Loof is drunk, face down in the bushes.
"Is Lid gone? Anyone see levels of resistance?tia"
yeah...about 1.42
if it happens, i won't miss it. i just think folks here may be overly optimistic, as they have always proven to be. i hope i'm very, VERY wrong.
luv ya sunstar, but you have OD'd on hopium.
we're a very long way from billions as of today, more than 10 years in.
kt... institutional ownership of biotechs who make dramatic moves up is often in the 60-80% range...not where pphm typically is even counting the darts.
wall street and hedge funds make sure they move it up....
i'm hanging around because i think there's a chance i may make a bundle. i am not assuming i will.
this is still my largest individual stock holding, but the 6 or 7 other small biotechs i play with at any one time have, as a group, blown away pphm's performance year after year. i'm tired of waiting, tired of 'multiple discussions', tired of rose-colored glasses, tired of 'this will be the year'....
where is the institutional ownership? why are the only people who think this is severely underpriced regular posters here rather than professional investors?
sure wish you knew that to be a fact.
sulaco....ymb posts and volume are drying up because pphm is dead money unless/until they actually execute a partnership, which they're been in discussions on now for about 8 years.
geo...you wrote "And Gilead paid how much for their purchase of (????) this year? $11-12B. So what was the point again?"
the company they bought had commercial products...THAT's the point.
for those who think PPHM will be acquired for a number in the billions, note that when Trius (tsrx) was bought by Cubist yesterday, the purchase price was approx. $800 million.
that's the second-highest buyout price for a biotech without a commercial product ever, behind the $1 billion Johnson & Johnson paid for Cougar Bio in 2009.
The $800 MILLION PRICE WOULD GET US A LITTLE UNDER $6 A SHARE.
people here need to be a little more reasonable in their estimates of Peregrine's value in the near term.
big partnership on tap and we're at 1.432? does not compute.
last day of the month, same old manipulation by (line up the usual suspects) while Congress continues to withhold the budget dollars from the agencies who would no doubt love to have the resources to nail some of the crooks who laugh all the way to Boca Raton and Palm Springs.
Just have to hope we're on the right side of the rigged game one of these days.
Just like at the track and/or the casino!
just can't see this thing jumping till there's significant institutional ownership.
can't see significant institutional ownership till there's a partnering deal that puts heavyweights on the BOD.
can't see a partnership till there's more proof that the science will be able to translate to money... we need more outstanding trial results now that they're taking a 90 degree turn with their understanding of bavi with chemo...
if they don't have a deal shortly, it could be a couple more years and massive dilution.
come on, tustin! wassup?????
