I'm hoping tomorrow. That is the end of 8 weeks since their PR about the 2017 audit being the last piece. To put into perspective, it took VATE 6 weeks using the same law group. Otherwise, realistically they only have 1 more week to meet that goal due to holidays. They have to be so close. I figured 8 weeks to give them a 2 week buffer but that ends tomorrow, so let's see. Would hate to see them miss this goal 2 years in a row, as it's been pushed several times.
So far so good. Sales is slow work. It's tough to pin down actual decision makers. Often time managers or even co-owners need to talk to significant others or their money guy to make purchases, meanwhile those people aren't actually there to have tried the product. We have 4 solid leads out of the 6 we are working right now, and will likely close these 4, we just need to pin down the decision makers or get the manager/co-owner to bat for us now that there is some report and they love the product. I mean A good example is this 1 place that it's been 2 weeks trying to get their co-owner to lock in an order. They've even said they want to and will, but these people need so much hand holding to get their attention its nuts lol.
We'd be moving quicker if it was a full time gig for us. I am excited to share that our gas station that has historically turned product over slow, is finally starting to move product, and I just brought the new 12 oz line on Tuesday for them, so I should have a reorder from them shortly I am thinking. They want to move our products to the front cooler too, to help. They really like me over there, which always helps for those types of perks. Sold over $500+ product yesterday at a single shop, which felt really good, and will be doing alot more business with them as they expand. I'll be bringing in a cooler free for this customer and it will be stocked with just our HighDrate and Kona Gold until VATE's CBD canned coffee and teas come out, which will be nice!
I've had some great sales tips from the masters when they were on our visit that I can share, like stocking product at the door handle, so when people open the door they see our product first. For high traffic or good customers. Drop off free stuff like apparel or product from time to time to keep the relationship happy and healthy. If a place is not sure, give them a sample case to test out or tell them you will buy it back if it doesn't sell. If a retailer complains they have no shelf space, find a similar product and offer to buy what's left in stock to make room for our product.
Small things like that is how you know Chris and Chad are the real deal with a lot of experience. There is so much more too, but this is already a wall of text, and you guys get the point. :)
I was excited this morning seeing the turn around, but about to lose my mind now. This is unbelievable.
Once we have some form of positive news, it will spike right back up.
HEMP and HMPQ dont count. Only reason those 2 are moving is their ticket symbols. I know many exciting those positions before that bubble bursts. Both of them have billions of shares, so only hundreds of millions of volume will move the PPS and reality will set in.
Nah, a cover is a buy. Someone sold at the bell to paint it down.
I saw that too but they dont say why or rather how they came to that conclusion unless they know his schedule rest of the week is booked since I believe that is public.
The feds havent been enforcing it because of the states have legalized it but also more recently due to the hemp provision in the farm bill. This bill fixes the grey area. There is the hype factor that much of OTC runs on. It may be like a lightswitch turning on the PPS here on Friday, who knows. Trust me, my logical side says it will do nothing or it would have ran during all week like HEMP HMPQ, which are running just because of their ticker symbols, but other than the hype unknown, there are big investor types looking to check out this now legal hot emerging market. That CNBC video may be all it needs for some of those folks as they do DD on good CBD/hemp stocks in the sector. The power of media coverage. Let's see what happens. Its not like the companies fundamentals are bad or anything so nothing to lose while we watch them expand, and launch new products. If hemp farm bill doeant move the PPS the new cans will.
Nothing but shop owners have a real fear of the feds coming in to shut things down. Plus you have to remember the impact of the bill on banking and federal insurance, advertising like on FB, I cant take out ads on these products because they are considered against FBs ad policy due to the cbd/hemp, and that's 1 small example.
Sold a few cases of the hemp coffee today. Making another order while I figure out bulk pricing. Depends if we can get the coffee pricing low enough for bulk, as I charge $10.50/bag or $120/case to stay conpetitive. That's alot of money even for premium coffee, and means the consumer will pay $16-$20 minimum depending on the shop. $16 better grocery price, $20 in a hemp shop.
I feel like alot of these guys run these businesses only part time. Just the feel I get from communication and watching progress on things. Could also explain the slowness to market, and infrequent updates. I mean that's how I am with Synergy Distributors LLC right now. My primary is IT consulting...
Exactly. I only ever got 1 case of those and never sold it lol. I've never even had the energy shots.
I dont think so, not enough volume. Hopefully that will change Fri or Mon.
I dont think its holding them back from selling cbd/hemp. Their sister company KGKG used to own them and they have been selling these kinds of products for a couple of years now. I think VATE is just slower to market tbh.
Especially at this stage the mania for HEMP and HMPQ is a bubble that will burst. Is it too late to jump in? Maybe or maybe not.
BoOoOoOoOooOooooom!!!
Its officially passed. The feed is behind. Woot! Vate waking up.
It's about to be passed in the house. Watching live. Yays crushing it.
Sounds good. Scary stuff seeing it drop like it did this week in the middle of legalization, but it does seem to be holding the high 4s.
Sleek any thoughts? You have been pushing this long and hard. In your experience with previous grand salami mania, was it calm like this, then like a light switch boom time? When do you expect PPS to rise back up off hemp legalization?
Watch it live.

This 1000%
You literally have no idea what you are talking about. First off, it was already mentioned in a recent PR that they were issuing shares to pay off REMAINING debt. They will literally be DEBT FREE. This is a form of healthy dilution, and we are talking peanuts worth of shares in the scheme of things. We have until next November to worry about them anyways. Float is 375m, hemp is about to be legalized, new niche CBD canned coffee and teas ready to launch. Which by the way, they make perfect sense if you know this industry or partake at all. The CBD in lower amounts provides a calm focus, and its anxiolytic effects help curb negatives of caffeine. No crash, jitters, just pure focus. Very nootropic for those into stacking.
It's already done. Passed 87-13.
He said "VATE" not KGKG. VATE is KGKG's sister company and it was down big today. Bounce back tomorrow hopefully. Senate roll call is finishing up but it looks like it's a pass. Up to the house to do their job tomorrow, then Trump to sign into law! Yeah baby!
It's already started back up. Let's see what this senate vote does this afternoon. Should be able to tell tomorrow how things will end up.
Nice, love it.
Just interesting HMPQ and HEMP are running off the news. This makes logical sense to me because they have HEMP in the name and/or ticker to make it easy for average Joe and any investors looking into hemp and hemp mania. Who knows when this run will end for those 2.
Sitting here red on VATE the day before vote while they are green and in the same sector, tells me that those 2 are going to benefit from this run, but not VATE, which is what I was worried about jumping in here last week.
I like this answer. Let's see where it's at end of week. Should be a sign of mania before it's actually signed unless big money is like a light switch and only buys in once 100% approved?
As long as it pops back up tomorrow on house vote day, we should be good.
If tomorrow isnt a 20% green day, I'm out for sure.
Agreed. I'll do the same. Enough is enough at some point. 15% down on a low volume day during legalization week, screams red flag to me.
I'm with you. If hemp mania was to make this the next grand salami, it would be going crazy or at least green this week. Not down 10%, that almost feels like a Pump N Dump of you think about it. Use something vaguely possible to pump, like hemp farm bill, even though realistically and logically it should have little to no impact on our hemp coffee stock PPS, then comes the dump. I'm not saying that's what's happening, and I'll give it until next week when things are sealed to see what I want to do. I seriously hope I am proven wrong so sleek and crew can give me a big. "I told you so".
Or 10% drop out of the gate...
Not in WI. Cant speak for you, and half these retailers dont even question it or even know what CBD is, at least c-store side. The grey areas will subside after this week or next when hemp farm bill passes. Remember CBD is non-psychoactive which cant be said the same about coffee since caffeine is psychoactive.
That is completely legal in our state. Hemp is literally a shrub now. Vaping/smoking requires age 18/21 depending on state law, but for a beverage with CBD here in Wai, can be purchased by minors no problem. In fact 1 of my customers has a son who requires CBD on him at all times for seizures, and the CBD prevents them.
Probably not as it need to be kitted. I run I to that too, though usually most people buy 1 case of each at the retail level so not a problem. I mean the cases of cans are cheap enough, could buy all 5 cases at consumer prices and kit your own for the holidays.
When do you think PPS will react to the news today/this week? Or do you think many have already factored the hemp bill into the current PPS? I feel if there is going to be a mania, it would have started today after that tweet. I see other news sources starting to announce it too. Obviously still a few more steps to go, but at what point does the "mania" begin, I guess is my question, and in your experience with such things?
That's the main reason I haven't bought into HIPH. They pump themselves too much, doesn't feel organic as KGKG. If anything, KGKG needs to do a little more pumping, but let's be honest, they are busy rolling new product lines out and selling real products.
It's been explained on the board before. You cant go by short volume because alot ot ot I'd MMs borrowing shares to help execute trades. The short interest is the important 1. Short volume is typically around 50% day to day norm. I suppose you could use it of it is way above or below that mark as an indicator it's more than just MMs.
