There's an online place in NY that I check from time to time. They had a case of 20YO and I purchased some of that and I just checked and bought the last 23 YO that they were showing. Tough to find and since PHX is the first step in the rest of my life for getting smart about investing, why not.
Already marked you.
Hmmm, just found a bottle of 23 YO and it is the last bottle. Got it ordered and will throw it in the checked baggage. We just need to figure out how to get it into a drink, ummm AFTER class... haha.
I think we need to find some Pappy down there. Hmmm, maybe I can order it and have it delivered when we get there. Looking into that.
Got that right, actually just tossed a cube in a glass full of it and waved some vermouth and bitters over it...
Which one, Pappy? Bourbon is my drink of choice
Yes sir, that sounds like a deal. Maybe over some Pappy or Lag, if we can find some.
Gotta love go arounds. I also take it to mean we did the right thing and get another chance. My FI said I was uber conservative, but I said why push it I am doing this for fun. Cheers to you for a great flight today sir.
Figured as much based on the videos. The coast of OR and WA gives you the same thrills.
Do you get any weird thermals in the summer landing over that body of water on R33? I have always been super careful when the end of the runway is just beyond water.
Just caught up. Been in something like that taking off. Had a really funny view of the hangers through the passenger window as the plane almost turned over... My FI's words kept running through my mind, just fly the plane, just fly the plane until its on the ground. I don't think he quite meant for me to fly it into the ground though.
Thanks Brent. Being new to the Den, I see what you are saying and look forward to when I can also stop the work thing.
Nice, looks like there was a bit of a crosswind.
Oh there not too bad. The first half dozen has your butt picking the buttons off the seat, but they get easier as you get somewhat used to them.
Looking forward to it. Eugene and North Bend Oregon were famous for all kinds of screwy crosswind landings.
Very much so. Never thought to video a takeoff. A landing video would be really cool as well. Maybe a nice crosswind in a 182 to show the one wheel landing trick I am kinda partial to the highwing planes.
SWEET!!!!
No, thanks for the link. I will mark it.
Morning Connie. Gonna be a blue sky day here again. Amazing this time of year.
Yes sir. I have time in all kinds of singles and twins. My instructor had an FBO and was always flying somewhere so he took me all the time. I owned a 182 for quite a while, but am a wingless pilot right now. Need the two stocks to take off and learn the F's and a new 182 or 206 will be in the future. Phoenix here I come!
Morning sir, I could probably stuff 3 in the 182, but between us it would take about 500 years...
Good Night.
She has to work and then I would have to lock the kids in the basement. Although, I told the 6 year old that one day and he looks at me and says "Uh, dad, I'd like to see you try that.. there isn't a door going downstairs to lock." He will be trouble.
Nope, she is from outside of Indy. She worked in construction all over the US and then she went back to school and is an attorney... She cannot understand why I abandon her and go hunting for 10-14 days and I am unreachable by cell phone, only sat phone, which we don't take. It drives her batty... I call it my revenge. She said she doesn't understand how the hell she ended up with me. I told her it's my freakin charm
Ok, I have photo in the gallery, now what?
Mine is clean too. I try to stay out of trouble as I do some commercial diving at times and have a pilots license. Too many hassles if I get pulled over and that is why I have designated drivers when I go out.
OMG!! That is so true. It is even creepier when everyone says hi and then the waitresses tell you their name in restaurants. My first time that happened I almost said "so what, just get me my manhattan". I was getting paranoid for a while.
Damn straight and coming from NY, I want you out of my way. That does cause trouble at times as I think they are going too slow and then realize I am at about 85....
Lived in Orlando, the blue hairs drove me nuts on the freeways.
Question, How do you attach a picture to your posts? I want to show you guys what the lovely lady that I married put on my puter as wallpaper and said does this fit as a self portrait?
Luckily I eased my way across the US. Best place I lived was in Sun Valley Idaho. I want to rent a plane and ship the people who drive in the passing lane at 50 mph in WA to NY and see how many come back!
Too many tree huggers and fruitcakes in Eugene
Nothing like an East Coaster living on the left coast.
I will take you up on it.
I had meetings again and just got out. I think I am going to stay in perpetual meetingdom if these are the results.
It's Friday! Good morning Connie.
Only Phx, I couldn't work it in with my schedule. Looking at Indy, however, and trying to get my brother in law lined up to go to that one.
I'm up already mom.... GM all, 8 days to CT and 21 days to Phoenix (I am taking up the charge for countdown guy)
Yup, still here. It's early in Seattle.
Wow, I need to go to meetings and miss the morning trading more often... This is awesome!
