i might be the only one on here using Questrade but i had no issues yesterday and nothing appears out of the ordinary today.
i was able to buy yesterday but i didn't try any selling.
looking to buy today so hopefully we see a dip followed by gradual climbing through the day and ending green into the weekend. i know PSPW will cross my mind on the weekend. a mid 60's close would be nice.
one other thought: i wonder if we will see a flood of people returning from the feb 28th dip where people were stating 'ill be back in a month' : \
yeah im not sure about that. hopefully tomorrow or at least next week.
good day. you can almost here the ticking of the clock.
picked some up today but was trying to get another 1k at 0.60. i saw it drop below and then go back up to 0.61 but my order didn't filled. switched to 0.61 near the end of the day but no dice.
in a way i hope news comes next week, as opposed to tomorrow, because i would like another 1k.
im interested to see how tomorrow will trade IF there is no news. :|
i feel that.
had to switch up my bid a few times but it finally got executed; had it at 0.61 and the last trade was at 0.60 for at least 30 minutes before it executed at 0.61. finally i am sitting at a nice round number, my target number of shares that i wanted to accumulate before any news was released. PSPW is now just over 50% of my small portfolio and i have a target in mind for 3 other plays that if reached, i will sell and buy more PSPW. i might have to sell a little early because i want to be in before the morning of April 1st. No reason in particular, i just feel April will bring a few nice things as 1/4 of 2011 has passed and we are nearing the end of UK tax season. Plus, we see changes are being made.
i don't wanna be an april fool tomorrow :D
no change on Questrade as far as i can see.
planning on selling a portion of another play to add more PSPW today.
fear of positive news :)
haha.
personally, i prefer this boom boom boom : )
agreed!
been trying to pick up more yesterday and today without my bids being filled. was hoping to get some under 0.55 today but to no avail.
definitely going to try and buy tomorrow. and if it gets pulled down or does a nice morning dip (like we have seen more than a few times in the past few weeks) then i will be adding more than planned. :D
trembling hands pass off the stock to excited ones. next 7 business days should see some interesting movement. where will it go? no one knows but we will definitely be watching PSPW aka 3PEG.
today was a good day and i expect better days in the near future. (naturally, IMO)
tried to pick up more in the lower 50s but my order just wasn't being filled.
now the only question for tomorrow is: buy what i planned to buy today or buy even more because things seem to be aligning?
:D
yes sir. and right after i put a small bid at 0.50. i will leave it till end of day and hope someone sells to me at that price. i mean, its only 500 shares of PSPW. :D
yeah, that's what i figure (and what i was touching on in my edit to my previous post)
i would love to see some solid news to start pushing this back as my 0.009 average is not looking that great. that being said, i hold a small position in this and it is the smallest holding in my portfolio.
i believe the new CEO is still in his 'proving period' and i hope he shows off some skills.
now to see how the market reacts to this NVAE news. :\
edit:i mean, the idea is good but will investors see enough potential added value to bid and buy.
Bill Jemas work with the NBA was nothing short of amazing. Innovate work with a keen eye for the future.
I hope he has some new ideas up his sleeve for PPBL.
im still here holding from 0.0345 and just awaiting news.
really hoping we here about one of the deals within the next week or 2.
good to see you around.
appreciate your earlier DD.
i tried to pick up more today but none of my bids were going through.
unless news comes on monday, will try to get more.
even though i am averaging up, like many people have stated, these prices should look very appealing when seen in the rear view mirror in the next few weeks and months.
and ragmuff, im with you although i didnt get in as early as you. i decided to get in on the dip of feb 28th after people sold off because of the announcement and i am very pleased thus far with the strength and support on the dips. oh and of course the return!
relative to the gains, the pull backs have been acceptable and a welcome sight for those who want to pick up more or as entry points for people hearing about PSPW.
if i had to guess (and im no genie) i would think something will be out next week, and if not, the week after.
timeline, other contracts, more info, something. should be good and im happy to be playing this with a number of people on this board.
:)
if only i got in since you put the watch out. nonetheless, still considering averaging down and watching a few different potential plays.
i must say, i do like the dynamic between yourself, el jefe, and trunovice. in business, the devils advocate can be a great advantage.
if people believe all is well, they can miss the most telling signs that somethings up.
those who are in this expect good news related to Q1 for NVAE.
it would definitely be nice, and beneficial for the company, for them to let us know whats up.
all i know is buying on the dips and the mm play has been great.
more than doubled up in the last 2 weeks from my original position and everyday i consider getting out of other plays to put more into this.
i just keep thinking, if i wait and news hits, then im screwed (in terms of getting these great prices, relative to where some/most of us believe it will get to.)
keep stacking and the gradual climb shall be enjoyable. the runs on news are always exciting though.
very good chance ill buy more tmrw. hopefully i can get some on more mm manipulation. :D
I am with you on the 'timeline' being released in the near future.
You make a good point with the Rudana contract and that is what's so great: both Seawind and Rudana have some great things to bring to PSPW.
The month of March has been fun this far. End of March into April and May should be even more exciting.
glad to see a nice day in FOFU.
hopefully we pass my pps (0.2125) in the near future :)
that is the goal!
only been in penny stocks for a couple of months and have learned some important lessons.
i wonder what lesson PPBL will end up teaching me?
hopefully "those who are proven, prove again."
wow, you have been here for some time.
one of the main reasons i am still here is Giordano bought all of those shares at 0.035, which is almost exactly where i got my shares at.
been debating for a while about averaging down but haven't pulled the trigger.
i hope those who believe news will come within the next few weeks are right and we go above 0.035.
then those who bought in at less than 0.025 make some nice coin and i make some, instead of losing.
good point and i am curious and intrigued by their Q1 '11 results. i like the transparent companies and the ones that report info when they are not required to.
quick note about my previous reply, just realized when making my point about stop losses i put 4 instead of 3.
your loss strategy in point 4 makes sense and i will keep it in mind moving forward. in the end, it comes down to the fundamental, and logical, reasons you invested in the stock in the first place. if those haven't changed and the losses are greater than 20%, and your belief is correct, those dips give you the perfect opportunity to average down.
one thing i knew i would have to accept when i entered the stock market is losses. i value money highly and as a kid would save birthday money for years. i would keep money from like 3 consecutive birthdays before i used it for any purpose. in the first few months i have come to accept losses quicker then i previously thought, although it always hurts inside when i know i've lost money. however, as everyone should know, you have to be able to accept the risk to make the profit. life is risk/reward and stocks are no different.
lol. now all i need is some nice new clothes to utilize them.
btw jedijazz, checked the other stock you mentioned, the post you mentioned and also post#1933 of that board in particular. refreshing to see an attitude like that (for the betterment of the group mentality.) its in my head now so we'll see what happens. trying not to spread myself to thin across a number of picks.
one thing i have noticed about FOFU is it seems to move in jumps. for the first few days i watched it, it seemed to go from mid-teens, to 20, to 25 then back to 20. double-edged sword if that's the trend. only thing is, this week it seemed to slowly walk down. what do you guys think about that aspect?
ps-if you check the boards ive posted on, you can figure out which is my favourite of the 4; ive posted the most on it and am following the board as of 1 minute ago, ha! make enough green to enjoy some prime sun. ive had enough of this snow up here.
also, if you can explain further in a PM to me about the 50k bid (with 40k/10k) you were explaining in the one post, 1933, that would be great. if not, we cool.
thank you sir! very good advice for anyone new to the penny world.
i agree 100% with your opening statement, those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
its funny because 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 i have experienced and noticed in my few months in the penny world. ive witnessed them and been burned by chasing (5) and greed (6).
4, i cant even set stop losses through questrade (i live in ontario, canada) on the OTC stocks. but last week i saw a guy learn a stop loss lesson the hard way. had it at 0.45, it triggered and sold at 0.35 and when he noticed the stock was already back up at 0.45. the MMs got him. good to know in case i eventually switch to a different setup.
also, ive seen a number of ppl capitalize on the promo pattern (similar to an inverted parabola) and then retrace by holding multiple portions. a large portion from a low pps, and then a small portion which they flip near the top of the promo and then buy back in after the retrace.
good luck to you and lets go Savanna East Africa Inc (NVAE); random side note, i was born in South Africa.
hahahah.
i think some people who sold on the way down to this level came in when FOFU was being highlighted by a few penny stock websites/emails at the end of feb/beginning of march.
and like you guys said, they want the quick money.
but like someone recently told me (and then i did some calculating) if you can take $1000, make %10, sell, then invest the 1100 and keep repeating with %10 profits using the full amount each time, it takes 73 trades to crack $1,000,000. optimistic? of course. but we are all here to make money, i just don't wanna be ruining other peoples lives to make a quick buck. i appreciate what i have, i would just enjoy more. :D
naturally, we are hoping FOFU brings us more than just good news, come on greens! golf season baby!
edit: you mentioned the stock goodies board, i have seen people reference it and i checked it out but only for a few mins. i might make an effort to spend more time there in the near future. thanks.
i haven't looked at $MWIS at all and right now all of my funds are tied. however, im feeling better and better about my stocks with the exception of one recommended through an email my dad receives.
i would PM you the stock but i can't PM anyone! haha. im very new to iHub; only registered in the past few weeks but have been reading boards since the beginning of Feb. i hold a free account and have been considering upgrading as i am becoming more involved on the forums for the stocks i own and finding out who's legit. oh yeah, and there is the fact that although im not cheap with the people i love, i don't just throw my flow around because like WB always kept in mind, if i spend this now, i can't turn it into more. :D
still working on removing the emotions from investing though! that will definitely take a while as i truly understand the capabilities of money.
i'm with you on the gradual and stable part with a rising support level.
but i feel any penny stock is exposed to the potential downfalls of pump and dump and unwanted penny stock promotions. they will come and they will go. the key is the support and if any of the people who buy in on promotion, realize what they are holding and don't just follow other peoples leads.
there have been a couple days in the past 2 weeks where i tried to average down from 0.2125 by setting a bid at 0.14 or 0.15 and they haven't gone through.
i was a little more hesitant this past week to put more into FOFU as i have been putting a large portion of my portfolio in another one of my stocks which i believe could be my (personal) stock of the year.
in any case, i will see how the monday morning goes and if i become green on one my longs (where the stock price is $5+ already) i might take some profits and put them into FOFU in hopes of averaging down before we start moving up.
much appreciated advice.
im relatively new to penny stocks with under 6 months of experience with them and, like the majority, have already been burned with pump and dump.
my mistake was i bought a penny stock, with no paid promotions or noise. the next week it surged (i later found out there were multiple companies paid to promote it that week) and on the 2nd and 3rd day of the promotions the stock dropped significantly.
as a result, i have learned my lesson and am constantly checking to see if any new info or promotions are occurring with the stocks i own.
from what i have read, you appear quite honest and thats all i look for in people on the boards.
like i said in a post on a different board:
also, as much as some of us truly believe this is a great pick, devils advocates and negativity can aid a great business person in a reality check manner.
bashing or pumping - no good.
honest opinions either way - bring em on.
im intrigued by the potential of a run as my purchase price was at 0.009. i considered selling for a loss when the stock was around 0.008/0.007 but decided to hold a bit longer as there could be a run in the near future.
what pulled me to this stock was the float and amount of shorting. it seemed like a good short squeeze could occur.
thats what we are hoping for. :)
im actually holding in the 0.034/0.035 range and was considering averaging down all week but have limited funds at the moment.
already had to liquidate some long positions in order to buy a stock which i believe has much more potential in the short and medium terms.
if we can get some news and momentum, we should be able to pass my pps and enjoy some green.
Class.
IMO there are two key reasons:
1) its a penny stock (even though it may or may not trade like one) and like people have stated, penny stocks can make large movements based on speculation
2) like most things learned in school, you realize those are not real life examples and closer to utopian views. im in my mid 20s and one thing you learn soon after school, if you don't learn before graduation, is that most of what is learned in university/college does not matter. the ability to learn matters most. all the information in the world is great, but useless if you cant sift through and derive meaning from various pieces.
about the shorting decrease, i agree with jwblue74 that there will be less shorting and more covering in the next week which should result in a steady upward movement.
also, as much as some of us truly believe this is a great pick, devils advocates and negativity can aid a great business person in a reality check manner.
bashing or pumping - no good.
honest opinions either way - bring em on.
exactly!
which is why i didn't mind chasing the stock up from 0.47 to 0.515.
last deal was at 0.505 when i put my bid for 0.515 and it executed quickly at 0.50. :D
definitely had to add before the weekend because ive been having a good feeling all week thinking something is going to come out to give a slight boost which will send the stock on a fun ride.
saved some money just in case there is a dip so i can add more next week.
yeah, i feel a HOD close coming.
my bid of 500 at 0.49 is just waiting to be filled.
yeah, thats what im thinking.
wondering if i should put my bid for 500 shares at 0.47 or 0.45; would love 0.45 but its only a $10 difference and if news comes out monday pre-market, ill be wishing i bought them.
guess, my decision is easy. putting in a bid at 0.47 for 500 more.
edit note: switched bid to 0.49
hah. definitely keeping this one until after it makes signifcant movements.
at this point, more afraid of selling to early then dropping to the point where it kills the majority of my existing profits.
as long as you are making money and not screwing over the honest guys, make money make money make money!
in a way im hoping for another dip closer to 40 so i can add even more. if not, oh well, still be looking to add.
if this isnt the stock of the year for me, im excited to see what is :)
heres a link on some basics with respect to a/s, o/s, restricted and float.
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/basics/03/030703.asp
anyone correct me if im wrong, but i believe the a/s is going to be increasing to 300,000,000 when the merger is complete.
i believe they key resides in not just a/s, as you should always look at the o/s as well. if a/s is much larger, then o/s, the a/s could be used to dilute the share price(same company, same total intrinsic value yet more shares oustanding) like in a penny stock scam. if the company is looking to raise more funds, it could also increase the o/s.
if i remember correctly from the DD, some of the new a/s will be towards Rudana and Seawind.
most companies maintain a set a mount of a/s in the holster should it be needed at a later time. i believe there is also a reason related to hostile takeovers, but that shouldn't come into play here.
however, since we have a solid stock here, and the fact theyve been able to secure 50 mill in financing before the merger is even complete, i dont think it will be an issue.
there is a sticky from a few days ago, march 12 i believe, with a valuation completed inside. (http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=60882406)
the valuation shows the potential range for share price with direct relation to o/s.
hope this helps.
and if not, im sure someone else on the board will be able to clarify further.
looking forward to end of week, wonder where we head into the weekend at.
i hope so.
i was contemplating averaging down and picking some up at 0.15 (im currently at avg of 0.2125) but would have to sell one of my long positions to do so.
agreed.
was telling my pops to get in since 0.18, and he finally got in at a good time. bought yesterday at 0.45 and hes already up a bit.
and i provided him enough links/DD from yourself, choi, planopenny, mil0x, prince mishkin, gotusucka and schekin. from what ive read (lurkin in the backgrounds with my free account) you guys have been in this long and strong and have been honest from the beginning.
loved seeing the longs laughing at all the craziness of the past few days, but loved the fact that the ppl that come and go seem to have gone again. :D
back to mowing the green and putting it in our pockets..
another day, another step closer.
thanks to everyone who correctly stated there would be a slight dip in the morning, picked up more at 0.39 and i think that means ive picked up more every day this week. M-W added 50% to my original position from 0.225.
mil0x: loved todays DD.
lastly, i know people always stress diversity, but damn, im really considering selling a few more long positions to add more to this. PSPW will be my largest holding in no time!
heres to the green season: golf and PSPW
(love the fact the snow is melting in my part of ontario)
haha.. the shenanigans come out when red is seen.
all i know is i added more at 0.39 today and my pops finally got in at about 0.45 (I have been telling him to get in since the end of feb/start of march drop where it was around 0.18.)
the next few weeks will surely have ups and downs. heres to all who believe we'll see a green future.
