There was one $SPX whip in the last 6 months.
If the momentum for the trend today continues as is, it will NOT change to Down, today. So it appears at this time.
I'm thinking $SPX Daily Down is likely at the close today. That's the direction it's headed.
I doubt if traders, in particular, will want to be long over the weekend as this GS fraud story develops and potentially deepens and broadens.
FAS intraday continues Down.
I wonder if that person is able to research the device, read docs, talk to other users, visit Apple.com and other iPad web sites, etc.
One could easily conclude the person is a taco short of a full combination plate when he says the iPad is "useless."
FAS: Intraday trend direction Down since about 1100 (NYT).
FAS is still intraday Up, but running out of momentum; a pullback of some sort may be on the agenda in the AM.
. . .when the chart starts talking.
Remarkable move higher today . . . nearly 10% . . . what a horse that thing is!

Interesting telling article.
Few will seriously doubt AAPL has the best phone and OS and the best business model.
AAPL typically reports earnings after the close of regular trading: Next up, 20 April, PM.
You saw it first in after hours: INTC is doing relatively well, selling chips. That means consumers are feeling better about the economy and inclined to spend more than in the recent past. Hence, financial stocks are likely to do well: FAS intraday Up following INTC report.
What will it take for this market to pullback 10% or more? Except for extreme events like 911 no one knows for sure.
"iPhone"
Amazing! . . . and less than three years old!
FAS whipped Down at 109.60. Trading model will not play for remainder of today.
FAS intraday Up at 108.84.
Yes.
The $SPX Up signal was at the close of regular trading on 2.10.2010.
No, not for $SPX, which continues Up.
Daily.
The Opera mini browser is now available on iTunes for the iPhone/iPT.
FAS intraday Down at 109.60 just a few minutes ago.
What's next?
Apple iPad Will Leave HP Slate in the Dust:

Heywood, Sorry to hear about your brother's illness and passing. It's been very difficult for you and others close to him. My mother died of metastatic cancer over 10 years ago. Those memories continue but with less pain now.
I hope SJ lives to be a very old man and continues to be an outstanding visionary, innovator and technology leader for many years.
Intraday, FAS whipped today, Down about 1030 and Up about 1530 (NYT).
Traders are anxious at these levels and distance from a pullback signalled by the Daily chart.
Like more than a few you're anxious about SJ's situation and the stock.
Go slow and reconsider your views. Decisions have consequences.
FAS intraday continues Up.
My most recent signal for $SPX is Up on 2.10.2010.
I'll be away from the market all day Friday.
Hmm. . .how are folks going to feel about the flood of ads?
(SJ looked as thin as I've seen him. Very regretful, sad process.)
FAS: Up (Bullish), intraday, since shortly after 1000 (NYT).
If AAPL pulls back to about 212 and then shows signs of turning up again I will seriously consider buying.
Assuming, there are no clear, serious issues that might negatively impact the stock or the recovering economy . . .
The company, IMO, is the outstanding tech company in the world at this time; although I expect it to do well in the months and years ahead, I follow trends and don't make price predictions, say a year, etc. forward.
The trend now is clearly Up, but as we know "What goes up . . . ."
Someday there will be a very significant directional change. I won't know when until I see it.
I'm out now because I scare easily . . . this market has been running higher since March 2009.
Yes, I'll reconsider if they reduce the price by $100. I'd probably buy the 32G WiFi model.
I'm out of the stock and won't go back in at these levels without a pullback.
You're correct my iPT has worked fine over about two years. I use it at least one hour per day, my record is about 3 hours!
As far as extended warranties are concerned, I think they're largely a rip . . . I'll roll the dice. If problems develop in a computer I expect it to happen while under warranty. After many Dells, IBMs, Lenovo, ASUS, and Apples we have not had any significant problems we couldn't manage in our house over the years.
I stopped by a Best Buy yesterday to check out their iPad situation. I could tell 100 feet or so away where the iPad was displayed by the congregation it had attracted, more than any other local area in the store as near as I could tell.
They had the three models displayed and all where being examined by the curious. Again, my impression is the units were difficult to put down.
There were two clerks providing demos and answering questions, generally doing a good job, IMO. One said they were sold out of all three models and that the 16G model was the most popular. He also said they didn't sell out until late in the day on Saturday. He didn't know when they'll be getting the next supply.
The staff were also making a case for buying an Apple Care package with a unit which of course adds significantly to the cost (I never buy those things.)
I was again impressed with the iPad; there's a lot to like there, but it's way too expensive. Take $100 off and I'll reconsider.
For now I'll continue to find satisfaction with my iPad nano while I pay close attention to the feedback the focus group of thousands (probably millions) provide on the G1 iPad over the next year or so.
FAS continues Down in this scary, anxious market, that will benefit from a significant correction, say, at least 7 to 10%, IMO.
Star Walk is one of my favorite Apps.
And yes 300+ years of science, and Penn and Teller, reveal the universe contains order, common structure and . . . magic.
Although it may diminish now and then we'll continue to need magic.
DRN: Very impressive move up since 16 Feb 2010:
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=DRN&p=D&yr=0&mn=3&dy=0&id=p18439014395
The figure for the FAS sell was 105.11.
How low will it go in the next significant correction, Daily chart or longer?
I don't know, and darn it, nobody else does either. So we live with uncertainty . . . and the trend.
FAS direction Down about Noon (NYT).
iPad stress tests: Don't drop it, and buy a case:
http://www.macworld.com/article/150418/2010/04/ipad_stress.html?lsrc=rss_main
Poor iPad, nasty humans!
Before I can buy a G1 I want to see the price come down and be reasonably confident there aren't any serious design or production run issues.
There's plenty of time to find more reasons to buy in the days ahead.
And I can always vicariously enjoy the iPad by reading articles and watching YouTube videos on the device.
;)
iPad . . . 13 hours and 24 minutes of continuous video playback:

FAS continues Up.
Watch "the magic" decline as an exponential function of time.
Once the magic is gone all that remains is: Cost of manufacturing vs price. Not a pretty picture.
;)
Cost to build iPad: iSuppli says as little as $229.35:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10451132-1.html
The iPad is at least $100 overpriced in the case of each version, IMO.
I will not buy one at current prices unless I find additional value in the device.
iPad teardown reveals first-rate design, build:
"The iPad is the best-built first-generation mobile device Apple has ever produced, the owner of an iPod and iPhone repair company said yesterday after disassembling the new tablet.
"I'm impressed," said Aaron Vronko, the CEO of Michigan-based Rapid Repair. "It's the first first-generation device that we've seen from Apple that has great construction." Rapid Repair is a repair shop and do-it-yourself parts supplier for consumer devices, including Apple's iPod and iPhone and Microsoft's Zune. . ."
