Would you mind looking at FRED and giving me your turnip take? TIA.

ANCCD up over 41% AH.
Hi lee...
Would you take Sammy Sosa on your team(don't know who ya rootin' for)? We can't find any takers. He's gotta go, then we gotta outbid the Yankmees for Carlos Beltran. Faith I have plenty of. Championships, I have none.

As I crawl over the remains of the wrapping paper, I thank you.
Aside from my gold mutual fund SGLDX, it seems that NEM, GFI and FCX would be likely candidates to be considered blue chip type gold stocks. Would that be your assessment as well? I'm trying to put together a basket of good gold stocks that would be more flexible than a mutual fund with those handcuffing, end of day transactions.
Jeffery Kern has a free newsletter and the guy has been dead nuts on the money with his gold buy/sell calls. He issued a buy ASAP call yesterday for this Monday morning. He notes that if the buy signal is wrong, prices should fall Monday and the buy call will be negated.
I'm a hopeless Cubs fan. What happened this last season should never have happened and they got me. Just when I really believe the hype, 'ol Lucy pulls that damn football away once again. Now they've done irrepairable damage as the best broadcaster in the business, Steve Stone, is gone. He made the game interesting even when the Tribune Co. had done their best to make sure it won't be.

Happy holidays from the Windy City as well.
Just a question...
On of my list of gold stocks, which generally move well with the gold indexes?
GLD
KRY
GSS
GOLD
PDG
GLG
NEM
GFI
KGC
GG
Thanks. All opinions are welcome.

Merry Christmas to all!!!
Internet cyber-friends are an interesting bunch. I don't know you all, yet I feel linked. So much for my philisophical thoughts. LOL.
Happy holidays!
Regarding the 20 week trough...
At what point can you narrow down a date or is it after the fact that a significant bounce occurs to identify it?
Thanks.
Also...
Would you be looking at the Jan 39.00 calls or the 39.63 calls?
They really added confusion with the MSFT div.
mr_C...
1585 would line up with Mathias. He then has a target of 1625 for later in the week. Does that fit with your cycle analysis?
http://investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=4881678
mr_C4...
Do you have any targets, dates?
Thanks!
mr_cash...
Are you now looking for a retrace into the 20 week low? If so, does Dec.29th look like a likely spot for that 20 week low? Any targets would be appreciated.
FWIW, this morning, Mathias had a break of NDX 1621 opening a door down to 1603.
Culmus...
Thank you for posting the Mathias translations. I appreciate it very much.

After an early week pop, are you still looking for a significant short term pullback?
Also, why did the Thursday reversal seem to change your view towards a pullback this coming week? You seemed to be looking for one last ramp up before pulling back this coming week, down to SPX 1165 and you got it.
From a TA point of view, I see negative divergences forming throughout the daily time frame indicators as well as the shorter term charts. I sold three quarters of my puts on that Thursday drawdown, but I still see imminent downside coming this week. WTF am I missing? Why are there so many bullish comments on these message boards?
Didn't anyone see that huge volume bar from last Tuesday when the uptrend off the Oct.26th low was broken?
I feel like I'm part of frank's funk and can't get out of it. I can see being bullish into next year, but where is that pullback? We've been going sideways for about 5 weeks in the SPX.
nice call as usual...
Do you still think tank next week?
mr_cash...
What happens if they hit 1625 today?
mr_cash...
Thanks.
What do you see after Monday going into next Friday's OE?
Pardon all the prodding. I'm working around a bad trade.
mr_cash...
Are you then assuming the open will be bought and we travel upwards for 2 days as the futures are at your targets?
Do you have any upside targets or do you need to see how the day goes?
mr_cash...
Once again, nice call on the bounce.
Do you still like 1570-1580 for the drop tomorrow?
are you looking for a db on the SPX by any chance?
mr_cash...
You were looking for this rally to begin yesterday afternoon.
In your opinion, is it now possible that the lower low could come in later tomorrow than the open?
mr_c4...
Does the kerplunk in metals and rally in the currencies this morning change your views that we go lower into tomorrow or do cycles ignore that?
mr_cash...
Could you lay out your scenerio up until next Friday (OE) if you don't mind?
You've been right on and I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks and I will not hold you to any of it. LOL.

Important SPX trendline just broke.
They give up 1188.3, it's a straight shot down to 1183.5. Break down there and we're off to the races(to the downside).

Pit boss tells me the volume is coming in over the last 10 minutes.
If they take it above SPX 1194...
Then it can go to 1204 which coinsides with Mathias.
mr_C4...
Wow!
That's how I can describe it. Quite a bit more casual than I thought(no jeans on the trading floor). By casual, I mean the tone of the players. I thought us printers put construction workers to shame. We're not even in their league. LOL.
Up in the office, the shoes are off, and the 60" TV is on(SportsCenter of course). These are quite the talented guys when it comes down to business. They don't fool around when it comes to trading and $$$.
Boss feels SPX 1163 will be here in a heartbeat(same as Mathias).
mr_cash...
Are you going with the idea that the retrace will be shallow into the end of month? Does this new observance rule out your privious post regarding the next 2 days down then higher?
Thanks,
dumbasswithputs er., I mean, Dennis
mr_c4...
What is the earliest that your up cycle could be completed this week? Could your top be in by Tuesday?
I have the 6th and 7th(2 different sites) as turn dates this week, then nothing til much later in the month.
Mathias NDX...
Very short term:
Already in the coming week the multi-week correction wave iv should start. The Friday top fulfils all necessary requirements. Still, a clear trend signal is missing, which is generated with the break of 1.592. As long as the NDX has not broken that support an extension of subwave 5’ of v to 1.650 is easily possible.
That doesn’t change the fact that latest mid December wave iv will dominate trading. Realistic are moderate losses to the 1.550 area. The minimum target is 1.589. Both price levels can move up with a higher starting point of wave iv.
For Monday there is a mini target at 1.606 which ideally is reached right at the open. At that point it could become interesting. If there, or higher, the NDX turns up again it would be positive for the ensuing hours as then even another extension within wave 5’ to the upper 1.630 area will follow. Between 1.592 and 1.606 the NDX is in a neutral trading range.
Larry Dudash...
I'd say the ad covered about 20% of the upper right hand side of the chart, which is the most important as far as giving the current conditions are concerned.
A little trick I used was to just refresh the page and the ad disappeared.
And yes...
I will be bringing him a bottle of Don Julio.
mr_C...
I'll have none of that. I'm short with OEX puts.
I have 2 weeks left on the Dec puts and I don't have a week to let them play the upside just cause your cycles say up to 1210-20 into Friday.(g)
I don't think a major top is at hand. I feel wave 4 is at hand with 5 up to follow(January up?).
If we can kerplunk through 1187, next stop down would be 1183.

Funny thing about the pit guy. I asked him if Pepto-bismal and Maloxx bottles were everywhere down there and he said nope --- Tequilla. LOL!

I neglected to offer a word of thanks for passing that along.
Please pardon my ignorance.
Thanks mr_C4...
I've got to tell ya, you we're the only one I was concerned about. Going in short without you leaning towards a short term top was a bit un-nerving.
Everything I've got says we come down (a goodly amount). The best ameture traders I know of on the web(best in my opinion), have gone short.
This past Wednesday, I've hooked up with a floor trader at the Chicago Merchantile Exchange's SPX large contract pit. They feel SPX 1195.5 is pretty solid resistance with small supports below at 1187, 1183, 1178 and 1173. They feel 1173 support is as solid as the 1195.5 resistance is to the up side. He was telling me last Wednesday that the 5 white guys that run Wall Street were selling into that rally. When Friday broke above 1195 for 15 minutes, the dealers were again selling it as they didn't want it above 1195. They do know people we're shorting at that 1192-95 level and had stops just above. That 15 minute jaunt was enough to sweep all those stops. Dirty games they play.
I'll be in the pit with them on Monday as he invited me to come on down. Should be an awesome experience. I've always wanted to do that and the opportunity presented itself. With the Monday turn date I have, it could get really exciting if they put in a coast to coast(up then down) trip.
Larry Dudash..
How do I view your chart without the pop up ad covering up the top right side of your chart.
mr_cash4...
Congrats on one of the few who have nailed down this advance. Nothing short of remarkable is the only way I can describe your calls.
Having said that, your latest comment regarding another 10-20 points of upside from Friday's NDX high, "looks like the limit for this move up" has perked my ears up(I went short Monday at roughly NDX 1575).
My interpretation of your comment is that you are looking for a pause that refreshes, consolidation or pullback. If so, do you have any pullback/retrace targets or time frames?
Thank you.
Zeev Hed...
Do you still have your bear suit on?
Also, have you mentioned recently your pull back ideas(dates and/or targets) from now until Christmas?
Sorry if this is repetative. I tried looking through your recent posts and hadn't seen any short term maps.
Thank you,
---Dennis
mr_C4...
We're at your 2130 target.
I sure could use that 100 point pullback.
Do you still think it could happen?
