So, then, what you are saying in answering that question is that it is POSSBILE Mr. T does get the money he needs WITHOUT dilution, correct?
Funny how you say the price could go up OR down, yet, only focus on the "down" part of that to fit your 1:40 scenario. It's quite apparent if it goes up, then 1:40 does NOT become the ONLY scenario.
And what if he gets the money he needs without dilution?
<<<At today's price>>>
Just a question:
Do you honestly think Mr. Thompson hasn't thought about all the possibilities you present?
I'm with you, Col!
Now that's what I'm talking about! Somebody who can actually look forward in a positive light to what may be going on here! Thanks, Jetow.
“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”
“We don’t see the things the way they are. We see things the way WE are.”
You're welcome, Ruskie.
That's what I was thinking, too!
New Spider Silk findings:
https://cosmosmagazine.com/biology/madagascar-spider-silk-10-times-stronger-than-kevlar
A newly discovered protein may be the key to the world’s toughest spider silk, researchers reveal in a finding that may soon lead to new kinds of super-tough materials.
Darwin’s bark spider (Caerostris darwini), native to Madagascar, produces the largest orb-shaped webs in the world, with diameters up to 2.8 metres.
The species exploits insect prey that fly above rivers, positioning webs midway between the banks, suspended from silk “bridge-lines” that can be as long as 25 metres.
Gram for gram, spider silk is an extremely tough and flexible material, and is the focus of widespread research because of its potential industrial uses.
This May, for instance, a team led by Kamil Kucharczyk from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland demonstrated a precision drug delivery device made from bioengineered spider silk and iron oxide nanoparticles.
Only a few months earlier another group had shown its potential incorporation into artificial soft muscles.
Darwin’s bark spider, however, takes tensile strength an entirely new level. Its dragline silk – the type that forms the energy-absorbing primary spokes of the orb-web – is twice as strong as that of any other silk thus far tested, and an astonishing 10 times stronger than Kevlar.
This property was long ago noticed by researchers in the field of biomechanical design, but the exact biological processes that result in the super-strong fibre remained a mystery.
Now, however, scientists led by Jessica Garb from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the US might have found the answer. In a paper published in the journal Communications Biology, they report that the silk is the result of “a suite of novel traits from the level of genes to spinning physiology to silk biomechanics”.
When Garb and colleagues analysed the structure of bark spider dragline silk they made an unexpected discovery. All orb spiders produce silk containing two distinct sets of repetitive proteins, called spindroins, known as MaSp1 and MaSp2. The number of repeats, and the ratio between the two types, govern the properties of the various types of silk each spider produces.
The dragline silk of Darwin’s bark spider, however, contains a third spindroin, which the researchers dubbed MaSp4a. This protein set lacks some of the components of the other two, but is unusually rich in a type of amino acid called proline, which is associated with elasticity.
This, the researchers suggest, “may in part explain the greater extensibility and toughness” of the fibre.
Dragline silk is produced in all spiders from glands known as major ampullae. The researchers found that these glands in the Darwin’s bark spider are “unusually long” – an evolutionary adaptation, they suggest, that may influence the structure and tensile strength of the silk, although exactly how, they add, “remains an important open question”.
Given the interest in the potential industrial applications of materials that mimic spider silk, the researchers acknowledge that their discovery is unlikely to be of interest only to arachnophiles.
“We anticipate these findings will be leveraged to produce silk-based materials mimicking the extraordinary toughness of C. darwini dragline,” they conclude.
Good question, Ruskie. Instead of waiting for a "dark" explanation, I will give you the REAL reason...
It was a REQUIREMENT.
If you delve into the requirements for uplisting and understand what Mr. T has been alluding to and not drink the "poisoned Kool-aid" from those offering malicious intent from our CEO, it is easy to see the necessity of that.
Since the SH Meeting has been conducted NOW we can get into the actual company business which was discussed at that meeting.
As those in support of KBLB have pointed out and Mr. T has stated in recent communication both via PR and in-person according to many who were at the meeting, KBLB's Sustainability as a Company is paramount.
There are MANY moving parts to the company and many things have to be put in place JUST RIGHT and then moved forward JUST RIGHT in order to successfully uplist.
The SH Meeting was the igniter to the powder keg of "dry powder" Mr. T has ready to release. It is coming. When? When Mr. T KNOWS the time to release it. Neither Long nor Short, For or Against, know when. Only one person does...Mr. Kim K Thompson. "WHEN ANNOUNCED THEN IT'S SOLID."
Take his word over mine and anyone else's.
GLTY and All!
Don't doubt the CEO. Doubt those who do!
Soon to be FACT!
Thanks for your Quick Response, WebSlinger. I will look into those.
Although, at quick glance, it seems to be those are opinions more than actual facts. A lie to me is something deliberate. Missing a deadline isn't necessarily a lie. Anybody in manufacturing, logistics, production, etc., will easily tell you that deadlines are more like guidelines than set in stone. With Spider Silk I can guarantee those "intangibles" are faced more due to all the moving parts required to get to the "finish line." I'm not making excuses, I'm speaking reality. In my current position, chaos and ambiguity are faced daily. The company I work for provides simple widgets. Nothing remotely close to the scientific requirements of Spider Silk. Yet, everything from start to finish on the production side then out the door and delivered to the end customer has to be massaged every step of the way. Add humans to the mix and, well, let's just say, the whole process takes on a mind of its own.
KBLB is a company that has NO customers, NO income, and NO products (that they are mass producing).
Yet I keep hearing about how "this time, things are different". LOL
I'm witcha, Red...
BELIEVER AND L...O....N....G!
Thanks, Z-Man! Knowing is half the battle!
After 10+ years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears the next two weeks to nine months will define Kim’s legacy.
If you doubt turning negatives into positives would accomplish anything then me "explaining how this would work" is obviously not going to help.
You cannot understand why KT sent out an announcement of a shareholder meeting? It's obvious isn't it? Because he was required to prior to the shareholder meeting. The fact he made that announcement is not what was responsible for "vaporizing" anyone's share value. You'd like to point fingers at a scapegoat. I get it. It's difficult to find the shareholders responsible for "vaporizing" your shares value, so you point to the one. Then try to arbitrarily attach it to an announcement of a shareholder meeting? Come on!
Nothing at the meeting seemed to indicate that KBLB would perform a reverse split right away. Ok? I don't recall Mr. T saying he would perform one right away. Once again, maybe he was REQUIRED to make the announcement and that is why it was made when it was made. You don't have to attend the meeting in order to ask questions. Post your question to Ben or Kim or Jon. They answer back. Let us know what they say. I'm sure many would like to know, too.
Can you give an example of what KBLB reported that was not true? I haven't really been able to read irrefutable proof of something they outright lied about and am interested in viewing something for myself.
If you truly want to know my reasons for trusting Mr. Thompson, then, please don't discount what I'm saying just because you have ill-will for what the man has done to or has not done for you, personally (and others), over the past 10 years.
My reasons for trusting Mr. Thompson are simple: he hasn't done anything for me to NOT trust him.
I have worked in production environments nearly my entire life. From front line to Executive Management. Inside and Outside these companies. I've seen good and bad and everything in between. From that perspective of MANY years of observation of what makes companies succeed and what makes companies fail, I can say without a doubt, I'm very fortunate to be invested in a ground-floor opportunity of one of those on a path towards success. It's a weird perspective for those who look to TRADE. I am INVESTING. I get the difference. I have a low tolerance for manipulation, though.
Had the company not turned the corner this past April, I would not be confident at all. I'd merely be like everyone else holding on for the potential that lay dormant. But, the volcano erupted. Once it did, I was able to see, from my experience, that the company was finally moving forward on its steady path towards success. FINALLY! Yes, FINALLY! That's what keeps me LONG on KBLB. I refuse to trade away the success that is before me. KBLB is the REAL DEAL! For me, it's easy to see. If I wasn't confident in their success, I'd still be sitting on the sidelines observing the board.
The bottom line is, I can relate to Mr. T not worrying about the stock price. Sounds stupid from the standpoint of an investor, right? But, I'm not invested in the stock. I'm invested in the COMPANY. Therein lies the difference. And what gives me confidence in my investment. I trust the CEO because the CEO believes in the Sustainability of the Company. He's made it abundantly clear his objective is exactly that: The Sustainability of the Company. His Company. Shareholders are along for the ride. I'd rather have a CEO focused on the success of the company than the success of the stock price. Why? Because, to me, those focused on the company will ensure its success. I'd rather have the CEO "manipulate" the company towards success than manipulate the stock towards success. The former will ensure my investment is successful. The latter I would be suspect of the long-term.
Hope that clarifies my stance on things for you. Feel free to ask me follow-ups.
GLTY and All!
And one other thing...
Mass Production takes WAY MORE effort than just Production. Big Duh statement of the year, I know!
But, seriously, think about that. The CEO is looking to uplist to a bigger exchange. That wouldn't happen with SIMPLE production. That can only happen with MASS Production. And if it's not done right, it will all be for naught. That uplist without the ability to sustain Mass Production will render KBLB a quick exit from the bigger exchange.
It would behoove KBLB to hit the ground running. In more ways than one.
I get it, Rayo. I don't hear the negativity and those negative don't hear the positivity.
But, I prefer to deal with reality. That's just who I am.
I'm sorry others can't see things are different now than then. To keep saying the same negative things over and over again thinking it's going to change the situation is really insane to me. But that's just me.
I KNOW many things about this company due to personal experience and DD. That's where my confidence in their success comes from. I'm Invested for the Long term. My outlook is for the Sustainability of this Company. I see nothing in what has been reflected 10 years ago or today that changes my opinion about where the company will be in the near and distant future. Everything was a step towards where we are today. And every step from today on will bring us closer to that Sustainability.
This is not some franchise one can plop down x amount of dollars for and, voila, you got a company and are producing widgets. Sustainability, even in that scenario, requires processes and procedures. There are way more moving parts to this business than most, yet many believe it's just as simple as hanging up the "We're Open" sign. Come on! Let's get real.
People wanna talk production, let's talk! But don't throw out your hypotheticals without looking at the whole picture. Sustainability requires we don't just turn out that first batch then sit on our butt for an extended period of time until batch #2 goes out the door. No! It requires consistent performance. And I expect at quality levels! It has never been done before (Mass Commercialization of Spider Silk). BY ANYONE! You think we might want to get it right? Heck yeah we do.
We live in an on-demand society now. That's easy to see. As I've said before, if others think they can do a better job, then have it! Go grab you some spiders and start spinning some silk. My money's on KBLB, though, to be the first to Mass Produce.
I just do. I do no DD. I just trust. LOL
We ALL get it...You know better than Mr. T.
I guess we'll just have to see who's right in the end.
My money's on Mr. T. LITERALLY! Lol
Amazing how badly some people want to see this company fail. Or at least put out the notion it will.
Newsflash: the time to fail was the past 10 years. The fact it is still moving forward now, at an accelerated rate, means success is imminent! That success is the Mass Commercialization of Spider Silk! So, you can try all you want to keep it down, but, it won't be enough to hold KBLB back. Not when we're reinforced with Spider Silk!
I can vouch for that!
But I guess that is the difference between short term vision and long term goals. I am glad Kim is looking long.
Now imagine if you turned all that negative energy into positive! I, for one, would like to see what positives you could apply to your investment.
Thank you, es1!
I'm sure they are being cautious and won't fully release that until it's "out the door." Kinda like car salesmen saying "it's not sold until it's over the curb!"
But, in theory, yes, we are definitely producing.
Thanks, SP!
It's like you want to move on, but you're stuck in the past.
It has taken me a while, but I'm learning that letting go of the past is a good thing.
Wish you the best, SR. It is coming sooner than later. Believe it or not.
Dude, I hear what you're saying! Unfortunately, you refuse to heed what is going on. And, to that, I have to say, "I'm out."
Progress is progress regardless of what you say. They are moving forward and in a few weeks/months RATHER THAN YEARS you will see. Everyone else will enjoy KBLB's path towards Growth! Believe it when you see it. I get it. I can see it now.
GLTY and All!
Have you sent your requests to Ben for those photos?
I'm obviously the wrong person to ask for that confirmation for you. Please share with the board when you get them, too, please. I'm sure you're not the only one wishing to see!
Of course. But to think they are still the SAME developmental company they were 10 years ago is ludicrous.
EOD
SR, I don't know where all this is coming from, but, "Production in Vietnam" has been stated many times. That factory in Vietnam, called Prodigy Textiles, is where the first batch to deliver to one of our market channel partners is going to come from.
“We are very pleased to see how quickly things are moving and look forward to completing the transition. We expect to make delivery of the first production batch, of our recombinant spider silk thread, from this factory to one of our strategic market channel partners in the third or fourth quarter.”
SR, I understand and appreciate what you're saying, but, with all due respect, you are stuck in the past, my man.
We are no longer the "developmental" company we were 10 years ago. KBLB is on a different path. Your concerns will be tempered over the next few weeks and months. Trust the process GOING FORWARD.
A company name people like to throw around is apropos here: Under Armour.
You know how long it took Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour, to go from idea to IPO?
10 YEARS!!!
Today (14 YEARS LATER), Under Armour has 13,500 employees around the world and nearly $4 billion in revenue.
Apparently he needed "the Golden" that day!
9 + 5,000=5,009
