Surf, nice to see you finally found the HOG.
CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER, FIRST PLACE GOES TO...............?
TIED between Goldenbollox and Piranhas2. WELL DONE GENTLEMEN!!!
You guys are working overtime today, don't you know its the Sabbath
Over the past few weeks, I could feel the stress building on the boards. There are some posters who I don't even bother reading any longer because its the same old broken fiddle.
I also agree there are a lot of possibilities to explore out there right now but if we can't have a little fun along the way, then whats the use.
I enjoyed the creativity of everyones poem's and Thank You for engaging in the Holiday Spirit. Things feel a Lot Lighter now that we've had a Very Successful Pissing Contest. If we need it again to release more pent up frustration and stress, count me in!!!
I lOVE THE WAY YOU PRESENT THE FACTS! I also like the aerial view showing the road and the DT Mill. It zeros in and gets right to the heart of the matter. Its beautiful work and easy on the eyes. Thanks, for the post.
THIS ONE'S GOING TO BE HARD TO TOP. VERY GOOD RHYME, IT HAS A GOOD BEAT TO IT!
ATTITUDE READJUSTMENT
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined. As you simplify your life, the law of the universe will be simpler".
- H.D. Thoreau -
Every adult knows our thoughts can affect, our feelings, our words, our programming and our attitude. In a nut shell, our attitude molds our future. In elementary school, my teachers told me, "you need to change your attitude". I thought it was their way to control me and get me to behave when I was having fun. After many years of rebelling against authority, I realized it wasn't that at all. Scientists now have performed research that gives documented proof showing how our attitudes affect our lives for better or worse. I bring this up now mainly because its Holiday Time and maybe just maybe we can make a difference in someone else having a good day. The following movie explains the issue very well. It’s all our choice.
Watch, “What the Bleep Do We Know!? - Down the Rabbit Hole”.

In the movie, as they were digging "The Hole", it went so deep, everyone thought they were digging their way to China. But in fact, they were digging their way to the Deer Trail Mine.

Yes, But its a Good Monster
I'M DIGGIN THIS GOLD HISTORY LESSON!
WHO WAS WASHINGTON IRVING? Who Cares Anyway? I DO BECAUSE HE INVENTED RIP VAN WINKLE.
Washington Irving (April 3, 1783–November 28, 1859) was an American author of the early 19th century. He is perhaps best known for his short stories, his most famous being “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “Rip van Winkle”. He was a prolific writer of essays, biographies, and other forms as well. He and James Fenimore Cooper were the first American writers to earn acclaim in Europe, and Irving is said to have mentored authors such as Nathaniel Hawthorne, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Edgar Allan Poe. Irving was born in Manhattan. A lawyer, he was a member of the American diplomatic staff in Britain and in Spain. He spoke fluent Spanish, which served him well in his writings on that country, and he could read several other languages, including German and Dutch. He was a prolific essayist who wrote widely respected biographies of George Washington, Muhammad, and others. He wrote a number of books on 15th century Spain dealing with subjects such as Columbus, the Moors, and the Alhambra. While in Europe as a young man, Irving dabbled in the theatre and even served as manager of the famed Globe for a period of time.
IMO, Rip van Winkle was the man, he dabbled in gold and silver bullion. Just before he decided to go to sleep that fateful day, he dug a big hole in the ground next to the tree where he fell asleep. He worked really hard burying his gold treasure. He was so tired when he finished, he decided to take a little nap before going home for supper. When he woke up some 60 years later, no one recognized him. But, he didn't care because he owned millions of shares of Unico Mining Stock which appreciated beyond his wildest imagination. It appears the moral of the story is, some days it pays to just sleep the day away and not care what people are saying about us.
WHO WAS MAYNARD G. KREBS?
The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis was a situation comedy which ran on CBS from 1959 to 1963. The television series and some episode scripts were adapted from a 1951 collection of short stories with the same name, written by Max Shulman, that also inspired the 1953 film The Affairs of Dobie Gillis.
In the TV series, teenager Dobie Gillis (played by Dwayne Hickman) aspired to have popularity, money, and the attention of beautiful women. He didn't have much of any of these qualities in abundance, and the tiny crises surrounding Dobie's lack of success made the story in each weekly episode. His partner in crime was television's first beatnik, Maynard G. Krebs (played by Bob Denver); Maynard was the whole reason for watching the show. He disliked work and always dreamed of how he was going to get the money and the girls.
Each episode began and ended with Dobie pondering his problem, posing à la "The Thinker" by Auguste Rodin. One hot summer Saturday morning Dobie and Maynard pondered their situation. Maynard said, I know what we're going to do to get money and gorgeous women? He stated with deep conviction coming straight from the bottom of his heart, "what we need is a life that will be filled with fun, beauty and adventure". Their love affair of the century came true as they both agreed to quickly pack their bags, loaded their 57 convertible Chevy and immediately left town before their parents could find out their secret. They traveled 3 long days and nights until they reached Marysvale Utah, pitched a tent next to the Colorado River and started mining for Gold in the Bromide Mountain Range. To this day, they are both Very Long and Very Strong.
Leave It to Beaver is an American television situation comedy (CBS, October 4, 1957 to July 16, 1958 & ABC, October 2, 1958 to September 12, 1963) that became more popular in syndicated reruns than it was in first run production. Beaver and family become a pop culture icon referencing idealized, homogenized suburban American life in the 1950s and early 1960s.
Beaver in the first episode was 7 years old. Wally his older brother was a teenager who was just starting to get popular with the girls. Beaver looked up to Wally and always wanted to emulate his style and behavior. Beaver stole the show when he tried to explain his way out of why he dug up the driveway early one Saturday morning when he said he was mining for Gold.
Leave It To Beaver
Was an All American Boy
He Dug for Gold in the Back of his Road
He didn't know Why
But he's glad he Did
That he's grown up to be a Unico Receiver
He's joined our Forces
To become a Leader
He knows his Gift was to become a Gold Retriever
LET'S NOT FORGET ABOUT MAYNARD G. KREBS
He's a Unico Long, Holding Strong and Going Long...Baby
I CAN DIG IT, FAR OUT MAN! WHERE'S DOBY GILLIS?
I hear Doby's a Unico Long.
Still Long & Holding Strong Baby
2007 Starting Up. I plan on it being a very GOOD NEW YEAR.
Signing off for now, God Bless All Longs.
Glad to hear your OK! I missed seeing that Orange Tower lights. When Unico rallies, your going to have to figure out how to make the orange lights blink on and off.
Am'still Here Holding Long & Strong
Longhorn, have missed Bevo and the Hook em Horns sign? You haven't made a post since Nov.28th. Have you been wounded by friendly fire or just out celebrating the Christmas Spirit?
Wishing you and everyone a Happy Holiday Season!
Buqqq, am not trying to lose anyone from friendly fire. Have noticed you joined our discussions on Dec 6th. Welcome to you and anyone else out there who has a vested interest in Unico's success. You've got to admit, its more fun being on the inside looking out, rather than being on the outside looking in.
I-HUB MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: This post is for all my friends out there who are watching from a distance. You need to pick an alias name and sign up for the 2 week FREE trial period. Then start telling us what you think is going on here. We've got the goods and the shorters just won't accept the facts. I'm speechless.
NEXT THING to consider is how many TOTAL shares to buy Long. I read an article by a stock guru who believes one should not buy more stocks than can be sold during a single run-up. If you believe that, then IMO, one runs the risk of not being able to re-buy back in. So, what does one do? How does one calculate the number of shares to buy so you don't say I SHOULD OF BOUGHT MORE STOCKS! I've said this enough times when I buy less than 100K shares that I've made a rule. Don't buy any stock unless you can fill a minimum order of 100,000 shares. IMO, that also goes for newbees who may have a streak of beginners luck.
I'm not a shorter, so I'm not talking about buying long, selling out, and catching the ride back down.
VERY INFORMATIVE POSTINGS & EXCELLENT RESEARCH THIS WEEKEND!
NYBob, Goldenbollox, Piranhas2, Lolomai, Tech10000, Loneharanguer & Futrcash: Great job posting factual data with a backbone.
I appreciate all your hard work keeping the house in order. Positive work makes for positive results.
NYBob, NICE PHOTOS! Its starting to look like an eagle. It won't be long before it flies like an eagle too.
Piranhas2 Sorry, I didn't mean to exclude you. I'm very glad your back as well!!! I didn't mean to overlook anyone.
It was my understanding from (Admin Matt) that Goldenbollox was the only one thrown out of the game permanently. That being the case, I was giving Goldenbollox first recognition. After all, he was the one who had a sock stuffed down his throat against his will.
Glad to know everyone has been recovered. I don't like playing without a complete team. I believe we have all our Long players back now, Fish777, Matt55 & NYBob included.
You guys may never see me this active again. I must say, this is one hell of a way to break in a new assistant.
God Bless All Us Longs, Gone Long & Holding Strong
IF IT HAPPENS, OK BY ME. Just provides another buying opportunity for the Longs.
RIGHT ON SCHEDULE, Great job Unico.
Did it just like they said they were going to!
I like the sound of tilling 18 acres of ground at a time vs. only 5 acres (which is all the small mining permit allowed). However, I thought with a large scale mining permit they could excavate 50 acres at a time?
I presume, this is just to get them started.
Am'still Long & Holding Strong
Paranhas, RIGHT ON, WE SHALL OVERCOME.
Am'still Long & Holding Strong
FOR THE REST OF YOU GUYS out there who missed the scrimmage match. This is another update.
(Admin Matt) was contacted yesterday, by God Knows Who. He draped a penalty flag over the Unico message board, declared a time out, made a few referee calls, then called a recess until all the dust could settle. Now, everybody's gone home to clean up. Basically, everyone has decided to take the rest of the day off.
But I'm here monitoring the situation and can tell you truthfully, we Longs are all fine. Still behind Unico 100% until that mill starts production and kicks a field goal!!!
Stocktrader, NOT MUCH, just a whole lot of deleted posts and arm wrestling. It all happened pretty fast. It was like a really fast horse race.
In a nut shell, Goldenbollox got a sock stuffed down his throat yesterday against his will. Lets see how long it takes before he recovers.
That will teach you, If you snooze...well you know how the saying goes. Sounds like you have some catching up to do.
Just to let you know, we Longs are doing fine!!!
Am'still Long & Holding Strong
Surf, sorry to hear about the dud you've had in your portfolio the past 4 years. Once Unico flies, you can sell the dog and declare that loss against the offset gain from Unico. I have a friend who timed a real estate closing to capture his stock loss which had been dragging him down for years. We gotta do what we've gotta do. Good Luck!
HD, I DO TO, THAT'S WHY I'M HERE. I certainly have some other stuff I should be doing right now. I'm very glad to see Goldenbollox is back with us again!!!
God Bless Unico and all Longs!
Am'still Long & Holding Strong
THANK YOU (Admin Matt), we have a good board here and would like to make the following recommendation to everyone. If I were a doctor, I'd write a prescription for everyone to take a mandatory vacation. Not much is going to happen over the holiday season anyway.
Lets look at what's happening here from a higher perspective. Oh, by the way Paranhas2, Fish777, Goldenbollox, when I was in elementary school, I spent a lot of time on the steps outside of the principals office as well. Somedays, I actually thought it was my classroom.
SOMETIMES, outside circumstances out of our control CAN create stress. As long as we realize WHY its happening, that's what important. Then we can dismiss it, let it go and get on with life.
After all, this is the Holiday Season. Wind down everybody, take a break, go get a massage, drink a margarita, have a Manhattan, anything to loosen yourselves up. I'm not advocating that everyone go out and get drunk, just do something that will be good for your physical and psychological well being. Go take a walk in the park, ride a bicycle, something, anything to get into the Holiday Spirit. Do you guys realize that stress is a killer and can have severe consequences if left unchecked. Anyway, I'd hate to lose anyone before Unico rallies!!!
If by chance you do decide to have a cocktail, CHEERS, have one for me. I don't drink!

My wife doesn't give a hoot about the stock market. She doesn't even want to know what I'm doing every day. Basically, I never tell her anything.
Her dad was a stock broker. She's probably learned more than any of us just by sitting around the dinner table growing up. I took about 10 minutes the other day to explain our situation. She listened very patiently, not saying a word until I was finished. By the way, I was very proud of myself enlightening her on the current day market affairs in 15 minutes or less. I thought I was telling her something she didn't know.
Her reply was startling to me. It put me into silence. Her response was:
SO WHAT, THAT'S THE SHORTS BUSINESS, THAT'S WHAT THEY DO
THE MARKET GOES UP AND THE MARKET GOES DOWN
SO........................................, JUST WAIT
I was incensed. She showed no emotion at all. It was too abrupt, too a matter of fact.
I've had plenty of time to think about what's happened. Lets take a bird's eye view of our situation.
Facts:
1. I did the proper DD to know I made a wise investment. Did I buy too soon? No, not at all. Unico needed the money for mill renovations and that's why I'm here.
2. I bought long because I believe in Ray Brown and what he has fought for over the last 40 years. Folks, the hard work is done.
3. I believe in the management of Unico. They will succeed.
4. I'm proud of Mark Lopez and his Team for all their hard work and dedication.
5. If it were not for Lopez and Brown this dream would of never come to reality.
6. I'm very happy and thankful, I didn't have to put up with all the headaches, permit issues, politics, etc. and dealing with management decisions on a day to day basis to get the mill up and running.
7. IMO, they have not let me down, and don't believe for a minute they will.
8. These are their dreams, much more than mine.
9. I'm proud and thankful to have been financially able to become an investor, to share in their dreams.
10. I will continue giving my support through these final weeks as they tidy up all the loose ends prior to the mill's opening. I feel like all longs, and the company, are in a very good place considering all the hard work that has been done over the last 3 years to get us to here. The timing is perfect.
I'd like to make a toast to Unico. Out with 2006 and in with 2007!
If I'm lucky enough to go the the next shareholders meeting, I'd like to shake your hand Mr. Brown and Mr. Lopez for a job well done. Congratulations.
My wife's advise and her last comment sums it all up:
JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN I CAN GO SHOPPING!!!
GB, ARGY Chart formation looks really good. SharpChart shows it bounced at end of October. Looks like its going back up for a nice winter profit. Its just the kind I like. Good Pick!
GREEN ALERT: (KYGC) Key Gold, Got a Mover!!!
• 141.67% Increase
• Open 0.12
• High 0.35
• Low 0.12
• Volume=309,149
Should be fun to watch.
GB, Are you looking for this year or next year? I watched both FLWE & HOGC for 2+ years before finally buying in. COGL was at the $8 to $10 level last year. I always considered it to be a real bargain at $1.00/share. Oh, by the way, I'm no stock promoter. This just happens to be what I like today.
Am'still Long & Holding Strong
Hilander
GB, No haven't done any DD, just instinct at this point. If they have to change their operating status, it could take another 12 to 18 months for the company to turn around. My plate is filled with other companies waiting for the rebound. I like you will keep it on my watch list and see what happens.
Some other OIL Companies I'm waiting on right now are:
ACKO
ATEX
ATUX
COGL
FLWE
HOGC
Right now they are all good buys, (IMO). Until these pay off, am sitting tight. I'm not holding these long term like Unico. Looking for payday! But who knows what I'll buy next year at this time. I'm playing the long shot on all of these. I bought enough of ATEX to keep for a couple of years, but haven't figured out how to play it yet.
PS: Both ACKO & ATEX have property located east of Austin around the Giddings, area. I used to drive through there all the time going to and from Austin to Houston. Lots of oil wells in that area. That area is know as the Austin Chalk Zone. Do your own DD.
Ball Mill Photos Looking Good!!! Nothing like the smell of fresh paint.
Buqqq, looks like your on a roll, keep buying.
AMEP = HOT POTATO, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole.
Everyone appreciates good research. This is a good board and we have learned a lot from one another. I agree the board has its drawbacks, but overall we have a very informative group of investors. What makes this so interesting?
Everyone has a little different twist on what and how they research. I’m grateful because it takes me places I would of never gone by myself. So, thank you for that. I feel lucky to be part of a group where we can learn this way. We can take in as much as we have time for.
That brings me to you investors out there who read the board just for content and don’t make public posts. I did the same thing by monitoring the Unico board for 6 months before joining I-Hub. It was a good decision for me.
There’s a couple of friends of mine I'm talking to who observe daily from a distance. And I say to you, SIGN UP NOW!!! Its free!!! I-Hub gives you a 2week trial period to see if you like it or not. DON’T WAIT, DO IT NOW!
