For very good reason;
he could play his ass off, obviously, but he could sing, as well.
I hired him to do just that on a record and when the singer in the
group said quizzically that he didn't remember singing that part,
I just kept silent and let the moment pass.
I'll find that recording and post it for you to fully appreciate P. G's
talent.
Otis Redding @ Monterey - Loving You Too Long
That's Paul Griffin,
the pianist you commented on once before, playing what became
an iconic masterpiece. I was very fortunate to have been in his
presence for a short time before his passing.
He died waiting on a list for a liver transplant.
The Valentinos - It's All Over Now
Arthur Alexander - You Better Move On
Jerry Lawson Sing Off - Do You Like Good Music
I sent that recording to Joe
last week. He hadn't heard it in 30 plus years and his response was
overwhelming! He put it on his FB page over the weekend and it
garnered close to 400 views in 48 hours.
More coming soon about this great anonymous talent.
Oh yeah......
it's the urine "issue."

RIP, Jerry Lee. 7 wives!
Long before I met him....
he was a big shot, back then. Lots of jingle$$, session work for
top names, that iconic solo on "Reelin' In The Years," Sha Na Na, for a minute,
Saturday Night Live with the ORIGINAL Cast & band, international travel, girls.......
a dirty job, and I've told him so.

You cook?
Thurs, like clockwork.
For me, it has always my favorite,
especially lacking some of the tackiness of the commercialized
models.
I don't mind admitting that the only day I ate the school hot lunch
was Thursday when that yummy hot turkey sandwich was on the menu!
Kids were always a little sleepy after lunch.
Are you ridiculing my love
of tradition, Myth?
Beneath my gruff exterior I'm very sensitive.
