The company’s margin of safety lies in its low risk proven oil and natural reserves, low risk probable reserves, and infrastructure. In addition, there is a potential for a high percentage of production growth with a few number of wells in a strong oil market over the short-term.
It is critical for management to generate increased production from its current Gulf permits and to acquire the next two permits. If successful, the added operating cash flow from these projects will catapult the company into profitability. If not, the company could be sold.
Spoke to Bradford today. Sounds like they are trying to get back into Columbia in the next couple years.
Called to try and chat w/ someone today. Hoping to get a call back. Any good inside info out there?
Tried to get a hold of some folks over at NGMC today, any good info out there to share?
While many of the counter points here are valid I do find that several of the key points (which I highlighted in bold) are still valid assuming the company gets capitalized in order to move forward.
Agreed the key point is "could" without funding it doesn't seem like there is a means to go forward. But I would think anyone investing here is doing so based on the potential of the project and the belief that the company "could" get the funding to develop it.
My experience has been most of the time the executives will tell us to read the filings because everything they would put in a PR is in there. I do agree however that a friendly shareholder letter, quarterly operations report or something to the effect likely would be for the better.
Just my honest opinion or course.
Looking strictly at the PR's and filings it appears they are still looking for funding and likely don't want to promote the story until they have it. Do you suspect something else?
That seems to be an accurate way to look at it. I am still doing DD here but it appears they have been making steady strides forward with production year over year and minimized their dilution.
Spoke to William Robinson today, seems like they have some great plans for the future.
Some interesting information in the filings. Looks like a mixture of funding and the company could move into profitability.
Any thoughts on the EP split?
Here is a little update on their shale plays.
We initiate a buy recommendation of the shares of Enerplus Corporation (ERF) for high income yield and exciting resource opportunity in the Bakken oil shale and Marcellus natural gas shale. The ability of Enerplus, a former Canadian Income Trust, to reemerge successfully as an income and growth stock with a strong U.S. operating presence, is testimony to the capable leadership of long-time chief executive Gordon Kerr.
I agree. SSN is set up success.
Any good due diligence out there?
I read this article the other day. Shale is hitting the main stream huh? CHK is definitely heading it up, but I have been hearing of volatility. What are your thoughts?
Here is a little analysis action for you.
Here is a little TSO analysis/update.
Hopefully this will pop back up! Here is a little DD.
You think this one will pop back up to $115? This stock has intrigued me!
Think MCP is ready for a fresh rally?
Yep, I'd say so!
Well, let me know if you ever hear anything back. If not, maybe I can give it a shot.
Good pick for John Paulson?
A company update would be ideal. I would like to know their plan of action, and a little more about what they are currently working on.
I will be anxiously waiting for the pop.
Something must be brewing....Not seeing much as far at media/news coverage.
Oh yea? What is your prediction?
What's up w/ that?
Very nice! I hope it plays out well, you know I am a fan of this one.
Heard any reports on the multi well project announced earlier this month?
APC benefiting from the high oil prices.
I'd like to see this one pick back up again.
Nice looking first quarter...
When do you think this will happen?
Think HAL is undervalued?
DVN is one of Picken's bullish picks. Thoughts?
Looks like they have some good dividends here.
I think its a good play to get in on the Permian Basin, what are your thoughts?
Dirt cheap and growing.
