"As you said, you have history to go on. If you have trust issues, then get on the phone. Is this unreasonable?"
No, why do you ask?
Oooooh, you think Ben or whoever will speak of things you don't already know or meant for the newsletter?
"To a certain extent but KBLB's business model isn't designed to let everyone in on the intricacies of their business model."
I see that....except when it comes to you?
It's been well established and known that we're not privy to "intricacies" or as somebody else has said here "everything", but they could certainly be telling us far more than they have and in greater detail.
Come on now, seriously......did anybody really believe Vietnam was just a signature away? lol
lol....yes sir.
"I believe it's called putting out information on the company's plans.
As opposed to keeping shareholders and the like completely in the dark."
Well you can believe what you want to believe....that's the beauty of living in America. It's a pity that the SP or market has never maintained those beliefs and doesn't seem to care much about their "plans" So, you're still in the dark wondering and speculating what all those wonderful things mentioned in the CC really mean and if they will ever bear fruit, that is what updates are for.
"I believe it's called putting out information on the company's plans"
Or what you have labeled "forward looking statements"
Then by your reasoning, they shouldn't have announced such things were going on at the CC.
"Clearly this is a game."
Yeah it's called the carrot game
Even if Vietnam isn't done, there are other things announced from the CC that we could be getting updates on
"At this stage of KBLB's development, Kim is working on sensitive matters which could be in jeopardy if revealed too soon, IMHO. That is the gist of these delays."
Pure nonsense.....that has been the excuse here for years now. There is a chitload of things he announced in the CC that are supposedly going on that he could give updates on
lol...how many months of silence did you and others endure last year? Plenty of predictions of why it was that way last year from you and none of them panned out.
I wasn't expecting it to make sense to you and I'm certainly not worried about that
Not really sure what that even means......
I hear you....sounds perfectly reasonable to me
kim has said that he would keep shareholders better informed before....not a surprise that he won't at all
"There will be specific news; to the extent that is practical for KBLB's future plans.
Share too much, too soon and it could jeopardize the future of the business model."
Yup, that appears to be method for almost 10 years now. Give the suckers just enough to keep them on the hook
You mean strategic as in some vague news to support the SP while one or more of the crew sells some shares?
There are legit videos from legit companies on YouTube...Kraig and similar companies have produced them. This is not one of them...this dude featuring Kraig over RL means next to nothing
"You were the one that stated he googled it."
He could have, he could not have...shame on you for taking my sarcasm as factual statement. It certainly isn't information that hasn't been around for years and obtained by just about anybody doing a simple search.
Seriously though, hope he makes a top 10 bigfoot video. Maybe that will help the lad generate some interest in his channel
"But if someone wants to make a video about the rop inventions made and in their search for geeat inventions KBLB comes up that is nothing but good. "
The video is at least 1 and a half years old...clearly the creator of the channels intentions are revenue inspired by several other silly "top 10" topics. Yeah I know, it's all part of "getting the word out there"...lol
"The fact that our company shows up in such a search is not."
Well, I'm not so sure it does come up in such a search under the criteria you previously mentioned, since you have no way of knowing where he got his material. And then, I would have to wonder why does it even matter when you can google artificial spider silk and Kraig has been in the first few hits for years now.
You would have to ask the creator what word(s) he googled... I'm curious to know what word or words he googled for content on his time traveling video
I'm sorry, you just can't polish this turd
"Now i know the google search comment was supposed to imply that anything a person googles would only produce inferior results."
Well, then you would be wrong (again)...more like results that anybody could get who would make a video just about anybody could make
Doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to be successful with it.....after all, you can't force people to watch stupid videos
Other mind numbing videos on his channel:
Top 10 most Real time travel moments in history
10 most mysterious people ever existed on earth
10 extreme disaster ever in USA
"With his highest view count of 37k he isnt doing it for the money."
Clearly he is doing it for the lolz..
"youtube" recognition from almost 2 years ago...lol
pretty much any schlep with editing skills can post a video or create a channel there like this top 10 dude, looking to generate some money for himself. Let me google some content for my videos
Time to dilute this back to triple zeroes I see
Looks like it will move pretty easy but still wary about jumping in...still too much downside IMO
"Randy looks to be going the phase 2 forever route."
Come again? He just received this grant and has stated his intentions beyond that. Looking at the last couple of years, for a guy that's been labeled a "researcher at heart", looks like he's moving just as fast as anybody else.
"If you could quote one of my wild assumptions, I think you would."
I just did ^^^. lol....Your replies are full of them. Remember what we were talking about a few posts back? I will help you, it's called a POC...something you said RL didn't have.
"My question to you is....why do you ask unanswerable questions?"
It's not so much that they're unanswerable, it's that you try to and fail.
"Oh brother."
What does he have to do with this?
"Vietnam will produce high quality GMO silkworm fibers."
That's the dream...."infrastructure"
Are you sure they will be KBLB's?
"There have been variations in non GMO silkworm fibers for 5000 years."
Well, supposedly there's a difference between them and these GMO bugs...you know the ones that haven't existed for 5000 years? Kim appears to have had issues getting them to make "high quality" silk.
"We know that silk made from silkworms is already feasible."
Yup but we sure don't know if the GMO variations are......
"Call me when they announce, in the meantime ......"
I have a feeling you will be paying attention but I would ask that you reciprocate when KBLB overcomes it's "infrastructure" issues.
"Right and if you have nothing (which is why you are asking for a grant) you have no leverage to negotiate with."
Wrong
"And when you don't you don't dictate s**t."
Wrong again
"Someone is learning but I know I am having fun schooling"
ya that guy who likes bananas is easily impressed
"The only reason someone would argue the unknowns, is because they have lost the facts battle."
If you say so....wow, I am so crushed. But, you still haven't answered the question and turn to wild assumptions instead of "facts"
"I argue that the properties are important and you argue no one is being hurt by the properties being an unknown."
Yeah, I'm pretty confident when I say the people who are important and need to know, already know the properties.
"Imagine if the material you put to the market can only be sold in cheap retail stores because the properties are so poor, because they are similar to silk. The better selling coat in the marketplace is less expensive or the same price with higher margins for the retailer, because costs are lower. In addition, the parkas with KBLB Monster Silk are incredibly tough."
I would say you have a better imagination than I do
"Do you mean the hypothetical stage? Cost and quality are important. It isn't just the properties I am arguing. Properties translate into higher quality. More elasticity and strength mean a longer lasting parka...and probably more ability to maneuver....comfort."
Did you even read my paragraph about parkas? Of course these things are important....people are brand oriented. NF is already known for the things you're talking about....probably the only thing that would change that is the Japanese reception of the parka. I'm not sure if it's common apparel over there, they are not here.
"I don't think Dragon Silk will be in parkas. But don't be naive, properties matter....especially in a marketing battle and assuming the Spiber parka is determined to be feasible at all."
I'm pretty sure KBLB is years away from putting any of their products in parkas
"We do not know if the parka has been determined to be feasible either..."
This is true, but I didn't bring it up...so now the parka argument is all encompassing
"If you want to see a product take a look at Monstersilk"
I would but I hear they are not handing out samples...
"That's because Randy Lewis has not produced one"
Nope, not yet....and if he does then there will be more.
"That is a product "meant for mass production" and if it was to bear the entire cost of production it would be less than $1M a pound."
Using your formula and logic, it would probably still be 6 figures...lol. Seriously, does it even matter when you make a silly statement like this? ::
"Looks like the most recent price quote for a goo producer is $1m a pound."
"So now you can stop waiting to be wrong"
I'm afraid I'm going to have to
"Not if you signed a contract before you had that revolutionary product."
Very good, you may be learning....Yes, you usually negotiate before signing a contract.
Well I'm still waiting to be wrong and I still haven't seen any first item products meant for mass production that bear the entire cost of production...lmao
When you own a product that will revolutionize the world, you dictate the terms...
"LMAO good try... Who said anything about that?"
Actually you have....over and over
"This is one of those moments when the conversation must take a turn or you might be forced to concede that you are "mistaken"
They are rare
"So unless you can come up with something that our silk needs that mundane silk does not there is nothing supporting your argument. It falls down in a heap with the last one."
Like you, I would recommend looking at the filings....from the words of your own CEO.
I knew you'd say that and I'm sure you knew what I meant in the context in an entirely different conversation.
The clan keeps demanding them to discredit competition, when it's pretty obvious the people that really should have them already do.
"We need a fiber made out of ANYTHING that rivals the properties of spider silk."
lol...what?
"No such as....
Dear sirs,
Thank you very much for your hard work and extremely substantial results.
We understand that your fiber could change the world but the contract you signed stipulates that we may elect to have exclusive rights to any product that is produced with our grant monies.
We sympathize that your company may be harmed by this action but at this time we will be exercising our rights under your contract. Please ship all worms, silk, fibers, textiles and research materials to The US Army c/o The Department of Defense......"
You're assuming that triple 9 wouldn't be able to box himself out of negotiations like this?
"Um no that is YOUR formula and your "logic" if you wish to call it that but that is really a stretch."
Sorry brotato but it is your's.....I wouldn't want to own it either
"Here is my logic...
Quote:
Looks like the most recent price quote for a goo producer is $1m a pound."
I wonder after investing say 5 million into a drug, the first pill Pfizer produced cost the customer 5 million dollars?
"Your response was
Quote:
So by using your logic from your OP you can assume that any sample no matter how small that Kim has produced cost 20 million
This is correct (assuming the 20M figure we are using as an example)
But your response comes right out of left field...
Quote:
We're not worried about "exactly" here as it's clearly more than 1 million a pound, the price per pound you gave RL.
Your statement assumes that Kim has produced less than 20 pounds.
That assumption is wrong.
That is a fact.
Verifiable too.
Need a hint? go look at the patent filings"
You may be right....I don't know, but it's probably an estimate...not really interested in wasting time to go back and dig thru filings. Whatever it is, using your logic and formula it's clearly not the same cost as mundane silk....even without your formula you still can't prove any product that Kraig has will cost the same as mundane silk
"He does have a prototype. Its goo squished through a needle and it is extremely useless. He is ATTEMPTING to find a way to produce a fiber for testing. He does NOT have this. He may never produce it. That is what the grant is for. To TRY."
Duurrr...where have I disputed this?
"The set of tests the army will do ARE the demonstration."
You have no way of knowing this or if they have happened already
"He is working on POC that he can even produce a fiber worth testing.
After he accomplishes that... IF he ever does, THEN he will need to find POC that it can be produced on a commercial scale."
Oh, so he needs 2 POCs now to meet your standards....ya, pretty sure he has one already. You just seem to be confused about where the starting point for a POC is
lol, yes a hotly disputed topic for sure!
Maybe the mad scientist will be lured away from the lab to make a statement ??
