SPWH vs BGFV - question??? - If one is not AGRESSIVELY shorting SPWH at 16.44 pps, then why would one sell, and not buy, BGFV at 4.41 pps?
SPWH
Cap = 715M
BV = 2.50
EPS (projected upcoming Q) = .27
BGFV
Cap = 97M
BV = 7.95
EPS (projected upcoming Q) = .37
Some serious divergence in these two peer-stocks...
ABUS - it appears that ABUS has a monetary IP case against two of the frontrunners in the race to vaccine, MRNA & BNTX - extremely impressive for an otherwise obscure biotech stock!
Who else might need ABUS "intellectual property" and for how long...
I took a 1st position on Friday at 5.07 with more bids below...
ABUS 5.07 - here's the BNTX agreement with Genevant from 7/4/18:
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1776985/000119312519241112/d635330dex1017.htm
Anyone here can decode this into layman-speak? Has it been updated?
SPRT 1.47 - any update? Appears to be an extreme-low-risk-hold into earnings at this pps.
VXRT "flu" vaccine news from January/2020, note Dr. Fauci's commentary...
"This is an encouraging study of an influenza vaccine that allows for a potentially important alternative form of administration, in this case by oral tablet,” Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told Fox News. “The results from the challenge study are encouraging. It will be important to determine how the vaccine performs with natural infection in the community."
https://www.foxnews.com/health/flu-vaccine-pill-on-horizon
So, comps that are working on improved *UNIVERSAL* flu vaccines may benefit next year. Any idea?
My guess is that likely 90%+ of every company with a covid-program in it's pipeline would claim to also be working on influenza programs among various others.
For example INO pipeline:
https://www.inovio.com/dna-medicines-pipeline/
Also not to mention that this novel-nasty-cold-virus is just one of an INFINITE number of viruses. Therefore, as we watch the entire globe totally freak out over this one of an INFINITE number, one might assume that EVERY vaccine stock will be in play long into the foreseeable future...or...at least until some common-sense returns...
PHM 40.30 - bought in afterhours into tomorrow morning's report & on this afternoon's stellar MTH report and subsequently setting new yearly highs...
https://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=mth&insttype=&freq=1&show=&time=9
I'll bet 10 donuts to a dime that HTBX issues a pr announcing renewed nasdaq-listing-compliance...possibly including updates on gp96 vaccine trials...and hopefully...that elusive "funding" we would all seek...
BGFV - I still like it at 3.50 heading into earnings...even if peer-SPWH wasn't trading at pps $16.40.
Would you short SPWH?
TOMZ - haven't seen any news - just so much volatile trading of late and really across the board. See APT from $40 to $9? Is APT worth $40 or $9...reality has been thrown out the window imo & lol!
And I thought TOMZ's "Additional Manufacturing" from a few weeks ago was spot on:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tomi-adds-additional-manufacturer-produce-133010434.html
I currently have no APT position but their manufacturing capability is still lacking with all of their unexpected orders. If APT issued a similar 'additional manufacturing' pr, I would consider market-buying the APT $21 pps?
Does anyone think TOMZ won't breakout above $2-pps when they report earnings within a few weeks?
TOMZ 1.60 - started buying back...
Got some .088's...do you have any .07seven's?
swamp, it's a bit surreal really. I don't think I've missed on even one 'vaccine' stock. I've sold every one of them too soon (with exception of NBIO as I continue adding in weakness). Seems like every one of these covid-vaccine-stock's pps just continues climbing higher & higher...
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=154100596
I'm trying to switch course into retreat mode as the old saying goes,
"the higher they climb, the harder they fall"

I trust you are perceptively watching the $$$$ volume occurring here? Thursday and Friday's HTBX volume, alone, traded approx. $800M+.

INO 26.97 - couple of updates...

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/audio/2020-07-15/inovio-pharmaceuticals-ceo-on-vaccine-development-podcast
...and they've got several more irons in the fire.
I got called out on my callwrites on Friday leaving me with no position currently. I would consider INO a STRONG-buy at the $15 downgap but don't think it'll get there anytime in the foreseeable future. Might try to rebuy a dip very soon with the callwrite premiums remaining so lucrative...
HTBX 2.46 - When Natasa Strbo was investigating perforins for her Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Rijeka in Croatia, she received an unexpected invitation to work with Eckhard Podack, the scientist who had discovered the family of antibacterial proteins that helps our immune systems kill infectious invaders.
But when Strbo arrived in Podack’s lab at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine in January 2000 to complete her dissertation, she learned that he had other ideas. The legendary chairman of the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, who died in 2015, was looking for help advancing the live-cell vaccine he developed for lung cancer using heat shock protein gp96, a member of the family of proteins that our cells naturally produce in response to stress. It was a subject she knew little about.
Today, Strbo is a world expert on gp96, a “fascinating little molecule” that has put her in the worldwide hunt for a vaccine against COVID-19, the novel coronavirus that has infected 10 million people around the world and killed more than a half million of them. Backed by Heat Biologics—the company Podack co-founded in 2008 to use the gp96 vaccine platform to stimulate immune responses against a variety of cancers, viral infections, and other diseases—Strbo’s unique COVID-19 vaccine is on track to begin manufacturing for preclinical-testing next month.

How would one get a NBIO onto that Robinhood tracker?

BGFV - also see peer-SPWH close above $15.00 today...
https://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=spwh&insttype=&freq=1&show=&time=9
Double-check my math, but as of BGFV's most recent update, BGFV's basic fundamentals are superior to SPWH...why the excessive disconnect in pps?
HBI - yahoo shows analyst's eps estimate (.09).
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/HBI/analysis?p=HBI
I would have no interest until maybe AFTER an earnings surprise?
BGFV - Agree completely. I have a quadruple-down bid at 2.05 which I would consider moving up if the pps remains at 2.50 within the next two weeks...
Fiscal Second Quarter Earnings Release Date
The Company expects to report earnings results for the fiscal 2020 second quarter by the end of July.
TOMZ 1.80 - sold my poke at this morning's open. Still like the stock very much and hope to be back in before what I expect to be a positive earnings release...but...this one needs to cool off a bit imo not to mention the broad-market (which has completely lost it's mind) also needing to cool off...
BGFV 2.53 - didn't management address "rent" specifically?
For the fiscal 2020 second quarter, the Company expects to realize earnings per diluted share in the range of $0.52 to $0.54, including a net benefit of approximately $0.15 per diluted share related to rent abatement savings and a recovery in eminent domain litigation partially offset by the expense associated with the special employee recognition bonus awards discussed above, compared to earnings per diluted share of $0.00 for the second quarter of the prior year, which included a $0.03 per diluted share net benefit primarily related to the favorable settlement of a software contract termination.

beautiful dreamer...
Yesterday's filing was an 8-K...
On July 10, 2020, the Company filed an amended articles of incorporation increasing the number of authorized shares to 550,000,000. The amended articles increases the authorized shares of common stock from 100,000,000 to 500,000,000 and the authorized shares of preferred stock from 10,000,000 to 50,000,000. The Company completed this increase to prepare for future growth and funding.

The 10-K was filed on 6/22 and included this...
Development Plan
We will initiate a US-based clinical trial of pritumumab in patients with brain cancer in the third calendar quarter of 2020. In this trial, we also plan to further investigate the efficacy of Pritumumab on metastatic brain cancer and measure the effects on the primary tumor. Our Phase I trial is also planned as multiple ascending dose study employing significantly higher doses to test for safety and improved efficacy.
We believe we can complete the Phase I and Phase II studies indicated above within a period of about 48 months and for a total cost of less than $26 million dollars. This will, of course, require funding our planned capital raises as discussed elsewhere in this document.

Lining up their ducks accordingly. Can they execute...
VXRT just filed a $100M shelf-ATM this week. Trading volumes of 10M per day at $8.00 pps, VXRT ain't going back to 'microcap status' anytime in the foreseeable future.
Also taking into account that SARS-CoV-2 is a SINGLE virus in an INFINITE number of viruses, all of these covid19-beneficiary-stocks figure to be in play well into the foreseeable future...at least until such time as some good old-fashioned-common-sense returns for to cease with all this over-reactive-germophobia?
150K @ .108 on bid now...was wondering when more would perform some simple arithmetic here.
NBIO, in this "covid" environment, could easily trade at .50+ pps...EASILY...just look at any one of it's dozens of peers, some of them lesser peers, that have taken off?
And what's the risk, the stock has held at .10 pps for years WITHOUT covid.
https://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=nbio&insttype=&freq=2&show=&time=12
Below $20, APT appears the most 'gimme' solid-value stock I've seen in awhile.
$20M PPE sales in all of 2019...
The Company has also seen a significant increase in orders of its face shield products since January 27, 2020, with orders totaling over $13.3 million as of May 1, 2020. Approximately $1.3 million of face shield orders (net of rebates) were fulfilled in the first quarter of 2020. At this time, the Company expects the remaining backlog of face shield orders with request dates in 2020 to be fulfilled by the end of the year. Approximately 14% of booked orders have request dates in 2021.
...and exclusive of my projected easypeasy $100M+ mask sales in 2020 (if they can keep up)!
Believe the entire world has gone absolute crazy bonkers over one virus of an INFINITE number of viruses, believe it?
The Company is nearing completion of its phase 1 ramp up plan on N-95 face mask production and is in the process of preparing for a phase 2 expansion that will involve building additional proprietary N-95 Particulate Respiratory face mask production lines to further increase capacity. The phase 2 expansion is expected to be operational by late summer 2020. The fulfillment forecast described above does not take into account increased production capacity from the phase 2 ramp up plan.

Anyone with an update on the company ramping up?
Re-established a 1st position here heading into the Q2 report which should be filed in about 3 weeks.
My numbers show total PPE sales of $20M in all of 2019...and now currently on a pace since January/2020 of $16M sales per month, masks only! They won't be able to keep up! And masks are their highest margins...
NOGALES, Ariz., Feb. 26, 2020 However, as a result of a surge in customer demand resulting from the outbreak of Covid-19, our overall gross margin is expected to be higher than normal in the first quarter of 2020 and potentially for the rest of the year, as gross margin on the N-95 face mask is significantly higher than our overall gross margin.”
Recently ordered alphaprotech masks on the internet and was told, 'Out of stock expect September delivery'.

RFP 2.29 - positive article on lumber in this morning's wsj:

Lumber futures are up more than 85% since April 1

And they've had some extreme-eps quarters in their recent past.

I'm not an expert on rifles. Is that an air gun?
What are the big positives besides (1) the stock is beaten down and (2) the EPS numbers might be good.
Those two items alone make BGFV very low-risk imo! The 'upside' positive is unknown to this plebian currently? Were the strong margin sales comprised of guns, ammo, camping equipment, bicycles, all of the above?
Why is SPWH trading above $14 like a rocket ship...have/will the sporting goods companies become the newest craze in 'covid-plays'?
