GM. Is today the day news gets out. Sometimes the wait is tough and patience has never been one of my virtues.
Pre market. I hate auto correct.
Thank you. I guess I'm up premarital cause I couldn't sleep last night even with all the pain pills they gave me plus the bottle of wine I drank. Up but haven't a clue what I'm looking for. I have a lot to learn here. Gonna be a painful few days but gives me time to sit in front of the computer. Thanks guys for sharing you vast knowledge.
I bought more SGBY and tried to get SFOR but Scottrade won't allow the buy. Turns out one of my customers is a VP at Charles Scwab and she is gonna wave any transfer fees to roll over my whole account. Keep up the trade revs. I'll be home for a few days as I fell off a 6 ft ladder at work tonight and will be pretty sore tomorrow. Thanks guys.
Can I transfer an existing Ira over to another broker including stocks I already own. Would be the shits if SFOR takes off and I lose a ton because of Scottrade.
Well Scottrade won't let me buy it. Says its on their no buy no sell list.
So what's the deal with SFOR. I've heard about that one from several other people. Barchart has that at 100% buy.
I tried to get SFOR and Scottrade has a thing with it that you have to call it in. Can't buy online and when I called they couldn't tell me why.
Keep the picks coming. I screwed up and missed the boat. Didn't realize I could do an after hours trade on my phone and tried to get NAK at .98. It jumped to 1.16 in the first hour. Now I know how to do it. Thanks guys.
I hope they can move forward. I just slapped it for another 50 k shares.
Ihub is the only forum I follow. How much influence does this forum have in stock movement and information. What percent of stockholders do you think are on this forum. I've been on Ihub for 7 yrs and read a lot but rarely post.
Thanks for your kind words. My wife's great grandson mother is no relationship to us. Her grandson got this girl pregnant while in high school and has chosen to not be part of his life. KK, as we call our great grandson has no male figure in his life but me. At 61 this old guy has a hard time keeping up with this 2 yo. Took him fishing the other day and the way his eyes lit up was worth it all.
Wrong. If you're using Ihub for your info it's wrong. I bought 50 k today and it shows up on I hub as a red sell. My buy was at 11:43 so go look at it. 50k at .0028 at 11:43.
There's my 50k buy but shows as a sell. Go figure.
Just picked up 50k at 28. Not gonna stay here that long when news starts getting out.
Plebe, there's a little difference here. Our house has been a revolving door of late. Had the wife's son live with us for almost a year, then her grand-daughter spent the summer with us. We had a quiet house for a whole week and now we have her 2yo great grandson and his mother with us for however long til we get her a job, a car and a place to live. It's all good. We are probably the only stable family they know that will take them in and help them out. So much for being empty nesters.
I have a substantial amount of money invested here and I think it is funny that Barchart has this stock listed as a 100% sell. Go figure.
So Goingup Again, do you put a small amount it each, a large amount in a few and what are you looking for on those. That's an awful alot of stocks to be watching. I am just getting into it and trying to be a little cautious cause I have been burned and want to be conservative yet still make some good money.
If you look at MPET, Magellan Petroleum, in January it was $.23 and Friday it closed at $6.65 and looking at what happened since January there are several filings and news reports of the things they were doing this year. Is that the kind of stuff you are talking about? $10,000 invested in January would have been worth $290,000 last friday.
Take a look at CAMP. Several good press releases since May. Increased profits and in a growing industry. Is something like that a good buy and hold or a flip?
I have feedback for you. I have a headache now reading all this. I say that in a good way. The biggest issue with me right now is finding balance. Like most people we have obligations pulling us in different directions. I made plans for this weekend which included time for me to sit down with my laptop and follow up with things you have been writing. Well we ended up with a 2 yo all weekend and it's been raining all weekend. When a 2 yo wants to go fishing when it's raining out, guess what you do? You go fishing. That lasted 30 minutes and it's in to the next thing. It's hard to sit at my laptop and do anything with a 2 yo old in your lap. My wife thinks I'm having an affair cause I'm in my phone a lot reading and when I tell her I am building our future she just rolls her eyes. I do appreciate all your work and effort and look forward to learning from you. Best thing about the weekend so far is my Seahawks won.
Wow, way over my head, as it is right now, I work a night job 4 to Midnight and during the warmer weather I have a business I run. My busy times are spring and fall so during those times I am working 16 hour days and don't even know how I would have time to do all the things you do and certainly do not have that much time. I appreciate all that you do and have learned alot and look forward to future information from this group,
Guys, and Gals if there are any here yet, what is your opinion of the reliability of Barchart? I check it once in awhile when looking at something to get their opinion but not sure if it is very reliable.
Investor, I lived out in Westchester, right around LAX. My Dad lived in Yorba Linda for awhile before moving to Hemet where they live now. I'm coming out in October for a few days. I'm flying into Vegas on a Saturday, spending the night in Bullhead City to visit with my son and grand-daughters then heading to Hemet. My Dad has Alzheimers and is a stubborn old goat, seems I am the only one that can get him to the Doctor or to the barbershop so I come out when he has a Doctors appt to get him there. This trip is a short one, the Doc appt is on Monday and I fly back out of Vegas on Tuesday. Maybe next trip it will be longer and we can hook up somewhere between Fullerton and Hemet.
Investor, I see you are in CA, I was born and raised in LA and left there in 86 on my way to Indiana by way of Nebraska. Been in Indy now for 26 years so can probably be called a Hoosier. I go back to CA a couple times a year to see family.
By the way, I'm a 61 yo guy with a passion for my Seahawks and today is the first football game so as the magnet on my frig says "We put this marriage on hold for football season".
MJ. It's all good. I could only read the articles on my phone since I was at work and I thought they were kind of cheesy but wanted to get to a computer to get the full effect so I have no opinion. I've been a member since I think 09 and have played around with little stocks with a couple grand here and there. I was in mining stocks that were in Africa, South America and Mexico. They were penny stocks and all had big dreams. My biggest issue with overseas stocks is verifying information from reliable sources. You might have to dig a little deeper to verify the information but from the outside it looks like it could be a good thing.
BBGP went nuts today. Very low float and went nuts on just a small purchase. Shows what was said here earlier about unloading or buying a lot in a low float stock.
No. I have others. A couple of etf's , some "internet of things" stocks and a silver stock. I was listing those more or less for feedback. As I said earlier, I just got the bulk of my money Monday. The penny stocks I bought with 5k I had from something else and will use that money to play with. I only have about 25% of my rollover invested right now and am looking for places to put it.
Wow, a lot to absorb in a short time. I think for a lot of these next week will be important when financials come out so next week could be interesting. I only have about 25% of my account invested as I only got it Monday and need time to decide where to put it. I have a good idea now after reading all your input but still have a lot to take in. Thanks for all your work and have a great weekend.
Agree with you. Not sure what their point is. When you go look at their post history is they do that with every post on every stock. Maybe they're pissed cause they are on an old computer in their moms basement and are pissed at the world and want to bring everyone else down.
I'm trying to find a good mix. As I said before I have 5 years, maybe sooner if it goes right. I certainly would not keep working if I had 2 mil sitting in the bank. 2 mil at a conservative growth of 5% would give me 100k a year to live on and I could do that easily since I have no debt except the mortgage and I would certainly pay that off. Actually, I would probably get rid of the house and travel. We love our motor home and would go full time.
Gold fever huh. Well I did to a few years back. Few across the country to tour a mine. First shareholder to go in. Went in a mile deep hole to view the rehab work. Spent the day with the geologist and came away with high hopes. Dumped 35k into the stock and now I can't even sell it cause the value is less then the commission.
Now that one is already up 30% for the start. Is it gonna keep going up and is it a time to buy or is the rise a short one only to fall back by the end of the day.
I've read all you have said with great interest and have no issues with using me as an example. I understand compounding interest and have just learned from this group about margin accounts. I guess after this gets into my sleepy head it begs the question of finding the right stocks to move in and out of. I been there before chasing stocks only to find a big dump happen the next day. At this point I still am dealing with the emotional side of buying so I need to get better with that. Thanks for the education and good night.
My 2 biggest investments right now are SGBY and CGRA. I have a few more small ones. I'm trying to get a good mix of penny stocks and looking at ETF's with some money in some safe places. I have 5 years til my retirement and would like to retire and spend the rest of my days making sawdust, some call it woodworking.
My funds will be released tomorrow so I have to wait til then but will be in a buying mood tomorrow.
Interesting reading and I enjoy reading it. I just rolled over a retirement account to Scottrade so I have more control of my investments so looking forward to your work.
Well I picked up 200k today at .0061 as my starting position. Gonna add more when funds are available at the end of the week.
Healthcare Savings Account. It's an account you and/or your employer contribute to tax free and rolls over year after year and once you get a certain amount in there you can invest it for more growth. It is used for all qualified medical expenses. If you build it large enough before retirement you can use it to pay your medical bills for the rest of your life.
