I wonder if Charles de Lint, was a believer or did he manage to enable his unco to refuse the refuge, safety and security of conviction and, in so doing preserve the sanctity, pleasure and most esquisite childhood mystery, of all, for his self.
In the end too cold for the beach; started cleaning the kitchen for fun, then fell asleep at the computer, while as ever, in the now and so still enjoying the ultimate mystery.
Good, clean fun. cheers.
Stewie read it with me, he says, that, to him,
life has always seemed a bit of a game. He says,
like any game, there are always those who want
to win, any any cost, and that spoils it for others
who play more by the rules. Others take it seriously,
but, like a poker hand, you don't win them all.
Some times, you peek, weak at the knees
Sometimes you get a bit squizzy
Sometimes you smile to yourself
and inside your head is real busy.
No ga ga games here just hangin'
NO rah rah games either, jest bangin'
still learnin', like others,

Terrabballa, at first, then you get used to it?
Not love at first sight, but, good for your
health, so, you learn to like it,
a bit.
Yep, was a good one. You'll enjoy
yours as much as I did mine.
Different senses, similiar emotion.
Seriously 1.,you guys, you reckon you have a bunch of Broderick Crawfords, about,

Stewie, says, hi. Tol'ya he was shy.
Seriously 2., how about a fun guessing competition? How many words does the preceeding cofeehouse blog, have? Can't C&P and do a word count, that's cheating. Have started a mathematical estimate using cm ruler, scroll and sample space. This time is too valuable to complete that exercise, now, oops, just realized what time it is for some of you people. Hope some still around.
Anyway, how about a less structured estimate from some of you guys; your instruments, eye, scroll and expertise. 'ave a go. Seee how good you are.
Seriously, 3. Have always failed when proposing a mystery or quiz, Please don't make it a total, zilch, three.

Hmmm, guess not in name, I must have decided not to send your post with your address. The other day, after our beany discussion, would you know, but, Glenn Wheeler, a Sydney, aDJ, radio 2UE or 2GB, had a lady, Libby, on his show. She has a website recipiesfor2.com, I hope; have'nt checked , if I got it right.
Inspired by our conversation I called and told them our story. They loved my, cheap and easy sardine and fish mush, et al. Just after we finished our chat, a guy called Brendan called in, Wheeler mentioned my sardines and he shied away from them as you did the beans. Here is an email which I then sent them. Oh, there is a name there, after all. Forget what I put into it,
Glenn and Libby, suggest that Brendan might consider loosening up, a bit.
I mentioned that I was on a Ny message board, the site is Investors Hub, it's a beauty. Originally designed for investors and non subscribers only have access to stock boards but for only US$89, you have boards, with experts, virtually on any topic, you would want. Think it may be the biggest board site in the U.S.
Anyway, the conversation about food, with this guy who lives in the Oregon Mtns, started when he posted a message with the following ...
"Ps, Dinner tonite was, my homemade white bean and smoked, Black Forest Ham soup.
Sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese and some Oyster crackers.
With garlic bread made from a crusty, French thin baggette.
Of course, a Cab/Merlot wine too."
........................................................................................................
I replied with a post I had already made on a music board ....
chopped 1/2 onion into a can of sardines,
in tom tom sauce
just eatin' and drinkin' with Panama Red
toast pices, 2 brown toast, cut 3 by 3,
oh, and 1'2 can baked beans
nice and simple
like Panama Red ...(a song, U2, present add)
Beeeoooooootttttiiffuulll FIT, LIKE ERG!
ONOMICS!!!
STAY LOOSE, BRUCE, MY TURN.
................................................................................................................
He had a bit oI a Brendan on the sardines and initial rejection of the beans, then mine ....
"How come, A1, 1/2 finely chopped, mixed straight into the can
(sardines in tom sauce) and mixed up well, is delicious, tige.
Quick, cheap AND TASTY, way to satisfy the suggested weekly fish requirement.
Gotta mix it with the onion, otherwise, I agree, iiccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhh"
.............................................................................................................
I gor him to this .... Ok', thanks. Probably try it with Monday nite feetball.
As a snack with cocktails, but without the beans.
So were do you live? I'm in the Mt.Hood Nt. Forest of Oregon.
About 45 miles SE of Portland.
..............................................................................................................
I polished him with ...Seriously, chop the 1/2 onion up small and just mush it into the can. Do a good mush. Get the onion right into the bottom. If you spell little bits, just, stick it back in, because any germs picked up are good for your security; you know your defensive system. I liken it to a country's security apparatus, it needs practise to become effective. (ummm, excluding some baddies on the inside, of course, that makes it particularly hard. Back on track, toast two pieces of brown bread, remember, 3X3 cuts, to created little squares. Heat the sardine on a large plate, for only, about a minute.
Time your toast and micro.
Also, seriously, know it sounds crummy, but, some beans on there, too, is really, yummy; good for the health, good for the tummy. Different tastes, ummm, good.
I only used 1/2 a tin of each and had the other 1/2 on a bowl of spaghetti the next day. Bit of lettuce, cheese(s), dill pickles/gherkins(unsweet), whatever, could fill your large plate.
If not enough room you are being ripped off, badly.
..............................................................................................................
That's it.
Sorry to hear this is your last day Libby, glad I caught you. Will visit your site.
Be good, be happy, be you; oh, and keep that little spark of fun, in you, it enhances the good times and eases the pain, in others.
Enjoyed the chat, thankyou and good luck yto you both.. AND TO ALL YOU CHARACATURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coming.
skeb, do you know of my dream involving the three aborignal women
and my subsequent, fun 3 and 8, spiritual plaything?
With you 12 miles from the Downs and your 3 replies you sure feeding
the 3 half, you got an 8 connection, for balance?
And, guess what, the link you gave me has to be the one I answered
?????????????????????? ..or am I just, whacko?
Just have to get something for A1!
ATT. skebballlarry/EZ2, here's your chance to do a public service as this site could do with an update.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_Downs
Until the last sentence I thought Chuchill Downs was inside Ellis Park, then, with the overlap,
I discovered they were two different tracks. Now am a bit confused at Why not .......
Not yet, just checked back and Ellis Park in Henderson whereas, as I knew and the Downs,
in Louisville. Ding ding, ring da bell and de light just starts a flashin',
like Jumpin' Joe, but dat don' madder it's only rock and roll and it
ain't on dead flowers and de saved de flowers, so no dead 'uns,
there. Get 'em later, heh.
Hmmm, good link skeb. IITTEEEERSTINGGGGGGG, stuff to an old gggaaambler.
Now ... return to Ellis Park, for a moment. Can do this now, with fear of losing this draft, so far ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellis_Park_%28racecourse%29
... has been updated to show the July, 17th sale to Ron Geary.
SSouuuundssss like Ellis rocked and will, in the future. For now
because you didn't get them before, relax and enjoy, with on an A1,
lookalike snack. Just add a little bean.

Howdy Outlaw, 'ow's da babe, matey?
T'was a top one toooo b'sure, matey, skeb, sir. and yours?
Sounds like excellent plan. Did I send you the email I sent to a Sydney radio station?
thinker, agree that "good old USA" is one of the better places in the world to be and a good friend to have. Expect later, next year, will say hello again, maybe some new places and people, this time, too. Hope. Last year added SF, Cal., as had a niece, there. Good feeling and good people, thru. New Hampshire, NY., Connecticut, Rhode Isl., Toronto, Vancouver. What's that long, narrow bar with all the T.V. sets, in NY. And exotic, taps. And the one across the road from Central Station, open late. Some good conversation, early one morning. Like all great powers you'd rather be a friend than an enemy.
With, my friends, if they give me the shi'tes, I tell them. Sometimes it creates more conflict, but, that's cool because without conflict there would be no change. Without change, we are in conflict with the very essence of our total environment. Oh, yes, thinker, there is chaos, all right. But, isn't that in the natural scheme, of things; the chaotic world of the quantum, where each has a twin and where movement is unexpected. The inner world of physics and so in biology and every other natural science. Not sure if that's right. Stewie has taken over a bit. Getting too long, as there is much, below.
Some think that's what a good friend does and that's, one of the reasons, some of us are like we are. Oh, there are infinite reasons why people take certain positions, whither political, ecumenical, economical , whatever. Some of us do it, just as a friend.
As far as a world controlled by force and power, well, where would we be without gravity, eh, flying for sure. That kinda covers the big stuff.
Without the minute forces of Stephen's Hawking's quantum world we would be literally splitting our sides, but, not with laughter.
But, is it all such "a deadly combination"? Seems, like when you say that, you are, at the same time, saying, our existence is a deadly combination'. I know "love" can be deadly, but, not all the time; fun sometimes, too.
Yes, our world can be "Very unforgiving, cruel and dictatorial", then again, that's only sometimes and there's just as much of the good stuff, about, if you're open, to it.
Your, "But I'll stick to my flaws, warts and all.", is almost exquisitely put and I never believed, ever, that you didn't accept that your country was flawed. We'ed agree, I think, that there exists neither individual nor country that is not flawed, in some way, and nobody would have any problems with you sticking to your country. Why not!
"At least we have freedom of religion, speech, movement, press. and various others stated in the Bill of Rights." Yes, and did Iraq, as it's original constitution just over 80 years, ago, was based on the European model; one of a model European democracy.
"Not perfect but the best so far.", not perfect, agree; the best, open to debate, considering the percentage of Americans in jails; so far, yes, this is the key ... so far ... always room for improvement.
So, thinker, you and I, and most others on both sides of this current "manufactured" divide, want the same thing...
Thinker, somewhere, up above, I almost said, and who needs enemies? Sadly, for me, since my teens, there's been a rather melancholic feeeling, that there were powerful people and powerful institutions in the business of enemy creation.
I have a picture of my mother, in front of me, in wedding gowwn, holding bouquet. She, didn't need enemies and neither does her motherland.
Peace and love, to U2, also thinker.

Sorry about the length, Stew, was involved.
I offer you a view of some others, who, I think, with the reeest of us are doing there bit, in their own way, to promote some healing to some of the warts and wiles of our world. Some would it as subversion, but, really it is just light reading. Must go, dinner waitng, next door. cheers.

Scrutinizing Bush's Claim That
NSA Spying Could Stop More 9-11s
In attempting to justify the government's use of warrantless domestic
spying by the National Security Agency, Bush administration officials
have argued that such surveillance would help prevent another attack
comparable to 9-11.
MELVIN A. GOODMAN, (301) 229-8188, goody789@comcast.net,
http://www.ciponline.org
Now a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy,
Goodman was with the CIA for 41 years, serving as a senior analyst
and a division chief. He is currently working on a book titled "The
Decline and Fall of the CIA." He said today: "What was needed to
prevent 9-11 was in place before 9-11. If what should have been done
had been done, 9-11 would certainly have been postponed if not
canceled, and law enforcement and intelligence would have been able
to catch up to Al Qaeda. You had FBI field offices pointing to
crucial information, but it was ignored by headquarters. Coleen
Rowley wanted to use FISA authority against Moussaoui but this was
rejected by headquarters; she was told 'it ain't going to happen,
baby.'"
JAMES RIDGEWAY, crystal@sevenstories.com,
http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0549,ridgeway,70692,6.html
Bush stated while addressing the NSA last week: "We know that two
of the hijackers who struck the Pentagon were inside the United
States communicating with Al Qaeda operatives overseas. But we didn't
realize they were here plotting the attack until it was too late."
Ridgeway is the author of the new book "The 5 Unanswered
Questions about 9/11." He said today: "In fact, the government ought
to have been fully aware of the two hijackers, since the FBI's main
informant in the Muslim community in San Diego was socializing with
them, and actually rented an apartment to one of them. Why didn't the
FBI know what was going on? When the Congressional Joint Inquiry
sought to find out what was going on, the FBI refused to produce the
informant to testify and blocked all attempts to bring him forth into
the public. The government didn't need any NSA surveillance program
to find these hijackers."
Ridgeway added: "The administration had other priorities --
domestically the interests of the airline industry, internationally
the interests of the military and oil industries -- the safety of
U.S. citizens simply was not the priority. Instead of coming clean
about their failures, the government has covered up and has attacked
whistleblowers. The 9-11 commission swept these issues under the rug.
Instead of admitting the government's failure, President Bush now
attempts to assert more government power over the citizenry he failed
to protect."
SIBEL EDMONDS, sedmonds@nswbc.org, http://www.nswbc.org,
http://www.justacitizen.com
Edmonds is director of the National Security Whistleblowers
Coalition. She wrote the recent article "Illegal and Indiscriminate
Spying Hurts Our National Security, Here Is Why." Edmonds said today:
"According to numerous reports and audits released by entities such
as Inspector General Offices of agencies that deal with national
security and various presidential commissions, today, more than four
years after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, almost all
our national security related agencies are in disarray, riddled with
incompetence, corruption, and in some cases criminal activities.
While most of the real problems facing our national security today
stem from gross mismanagement, inefficiency, incompetence and a lack
of sensible policies and vigorous oversight, the Bush administration
insists upon blaming these deficiencies on a ... lack of power in the
executive branch. But the kind of power the administration pursues is
the kind of power that would vault the presidency to monarchical
status and nullify the Bill of Rights."

OT reb, not sure why Tina won't ask you, maybe she doesn't know you, either?
Tina, he's a bit of a loose cannon, but, a "family guy".
Obviously to late to get in, but,

Hi there, flies.
Yep, and minimise the fluxh.
FANTASTICO, causeim. Damnit, daddy, since Wayne is such a nice guy

Good, wick, over .005 Monday. With cherries on top?
OT WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Me too, cause, that is good reporting.
Gary's comment about trust is always what it's about.
You wouldn't remember my old signature, something like
itJF&CGfn,utsm ... it says it all.
Alla best to the sheriff. Anything new on Rokow?
damn, just can't get the spelling. Say hello, eh?
Look forward to your next report.
Iwnt, thanks, I was just about to post an apology to you. On re reading
that discussion I saw, from #20068, that, in fact you were with Lm
and wick and that Wayne, was the standout, up to a million.
Thanks for the reply, still difficult for us to decipher the maze, sometimes.
Iwant, not marked as box chockers until cleaned up, but, your $700ooo,
number put you in stark contrast to wick, Wayne, iceman, Lm, et al
(excuse, please for any errors there).
Thanks for the revenue discussion, people; will now be interesting
to see who is more on the mark.
iceman, "you said but I anticipate the SUB Numbers are much higher
than that so It would not shock me to see Revenues at or close
to $1,000,000.00 million mark" ... got a number for your SNs?
Always do, but, it's Stewie, who has trouble.
With the culture and with his older brothers.
He's not all Rusty James, you know.
Maybe she caught his in and out, just now.
Doubt it though.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Oh, thanks Stewie.
Here's a rocket for you!
http://www.yahoo.com/, that's him.
and notice the 8, which fits with Stewie and my,
3 and 8, fun, dream inspired spiritual connection.
Not sure if he is up to Jeter, another, top player,
but, looks, pretty good.
Hey, wick, do me a small favor? Just tell Tina a bit
about Stewie. I'm about to introduce him formally,
but, he's real shy today and needs a small intro.
If you could manage that we both would be eternally
grateful. You never know, it may help the pps, too.
I need a bit of a boost to make up for Stewie's
damn extravagances on the pokies, during these
recent changing tymes.
Think, you're the man to do it.
Wick, am getting, a new pair of rocket shoes, this weekend.
Some kind of sneakers. Hit your Scotch again, last night,
but, bright and bushy today. Have a good weekend
and all your bored friends, too.
This may help. He's head and shoulders above Rusty James
and his older brothers, he's a hit and run specialist mainly banks
and buses, doesn't rumble in gangs, just, works with a silent partner.
His older brothers are more responsible than Rusty's and one of their
names is James. At present negotiating with Coppola; looks promising.
ASK REB!
Oh...too bad not a c in front and pluralised, eh?
ps hope you are satisfied with slow and easy. Others on this board
are trying to steal his thunder, but, actually it was Stewie, who first
suggested it to the the head honchos and you'll be happy to hear
that he is reasonably satisfied at the response. The bus, you see,
is not a plane, but, some don't realise the subtle difference.
